Well, we're just about finished. I plan on doing two more chapters after this one. Once this story is done, I plan on finishing my Robin/Cherche fic and then I plan on writing a Stahl/Miriel drabble series (how come I never see this paring anywhere?). Anywho, here's the chapter. (Also on a mildly unrelated topic, FE:if is looking awesome. Curse you arduous localization processes for making me wait half a year for it!)

Robin ran his sword through another Risen. Ahead of him, he saw his doppelganger and his dragon head looming behind him. Suddenly, something hit the back of his head causing him to fall to his knees. He looked over his shoulder and saw a Risen standing over him ready to bring down his axe. However, before the creature could end him, a lance ran through his chance. The Risen fell revealing Sumia on her Pegasus.

"Robin!" she shouted. She reached her hand out to him, pulled him onto the Pegasus, and took off.

"Thank you, Sumia," Robin said.

Sumia glared at him. "You need to be more careful! If you die before you destroy Grima-"

"I know. I'm sorry." Robin looked down at the battle. Cynthia and Gerome flew above the battle providing air support while Morgan and Owain stood back to back fighting off Risen. Lucina, Sully, and Kjelle were helping Chrom clear a path towards Grima. The others Shepherds provided cover for them.

"This looks bad doesn't it?"

Robin snapped his attention back to Sumia. "We haven't lost yet." He noticed Chrom finally pushed through the Risen ranks. "Drop me by Chrom! Hurry!"

Sumia nodded. "Right!" She flew above Chrom. Robin got ready to jump off but Sumia grabbed his arms

Robin looked at her. "What is it?" Without answering, Sumia pulled him close and pressed her lips against his. She pulled away and couldn't help but chuckle at Robin's flustered face. "U-um. . ."

"For good luck. Now go kill a god."

Robin smiled. "Right!" He jumped off the Pegasus and pulled out a tome. He saw Grima's dragon head about to bite down on Chrom. "Thoron!" A burst of lightning shot out of his hand and his the Fell Dragon. Robin landed next to Chrom.

"Can you show up a little sooner next time?" he asked.

"You want there to be a next time?"

"Well, not not really but-" The two were interrupted by a blast from Grima.

"IF YOU FOOLS ARE DONE," he said, "PERHAPS I MAY DESTROY YOU NOW!" He sent a series of spikes at the two. Robin pushed Chrom out of the way and took a spike to the shoulder.

"Gyaaah!" he shouted.

"Robin, no!" Chrom shouted.

Grima luahged. "HA, HA, HA! FOOL! ALL OF YOUR EFFORT JUST TO FAIL AT THE END!" He got ready to attack again when Falchion flew in front of him. "WHAT?!" He looked over at Chrom who had just thrown his sword. "YOU WOULD DARE? LITTLE EXALT WHELP!"

Robin took the time to pull himself free from the spike. He clutched his wound regretting not having a vulnerary. However, he put his pain aside as he readied another spell. "Grima!"

Grima glared at him. "YOU STILL WISH TO FIGHT?!"

"No," lightning sparked around Robin's hand, "I wish to destroy you! THORON!" Robin threw all his might into the spell.

"WHAT?!" Grima tried to dodge but was hit in the side by the blast. "AUGH!"

Robin ran to Falchion and grabbed it. "Chrom!" He threw the blade to his friend. "Heads up!"

Chrom grabbed the sword. "Thanks, friend! Now let's end this!"

"Right!" Robin threw aside the expired tome and drew his blade. He and Chrom charged Grima, Robin struck his chest while Chrom landed a strong blow across his back.

"GAH!" Grima shouted. He fell to his knees and looked up to see Robin approach. "Y-YOU INSOLENT BASTARD! YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY HOPE TO DEFEAT ME!"

"You think so?" Robin held up his hand and summoned an aura of dark magic. "Interesting. So this is the power you wield. I wonder how it'll feel to be destroyed by it."

"YOU CAN'T! YOU WILL DIE AS WELL! DOES YOUR LIFE MEAN NOTHING TO YOU?!"

"Everyone else means more. If I die destroying you for good, it'll be worth it."

"NO! DON'T! I AM GRIMA! I AM ALMIGHTY! I-"

"Need to shut up." Robin let loose Grima's power.

"NO! NOOOO!" Grima was consumed by his own power. As he finally died, Robin could feel his own life force slip away. He looked down at his hand. It was beginning to blow away like dust in the wind.

"Robin!" Chrom shouted as he ran up to him. "Y-You did it. This is it isn't it."

"Yeah. Sorry."

Chrom smiled. "Don't be. You saved the world. Just promise not to be gone too long." Robin smiled.

"Father!" Robin looked over his shoulder and saw his daughters run up to him. Morgan tackled him in a tight hug. "Don't go, Father! Cindy and I just found you again."

Cynthia quickly joined the hug. "I-I know this is a heroic death and all, but I'm not ready for you to die yet. Please, don't go." Both girl's wept uncontrollably into his coat.

"Girls," Robin said. He wrapped his arms around them. "Please don't cry. We won. Take pride in that. You're future has been averted."

"But at what cost?" Morgan asked.

"We wanted you in our future," Cynthia added.

"I know," Robin said. "And I'm sorry. I promise I'll come back to you, okay?" The girls looked up at him. "Do you believe me?" They nodded and wiped the tears from their eyes. "Look out for your mother and sister for me, okay?"

"Y-Yes Sir," Cynthia said. Morgan just nodded as she tried to fight back tears.

Robin turned his attention to Gerome and Owain. He freed himself from his daughters' grip and walked up to them. "I might not be back for a while. I'm leaving my daughters in your care." Both of them nodded. "But I do intend to come back and I found out either of you broke their hearts. . ."

"Fear not noble Robin," Owain said. "Never shall we part from out beloveds' sides. We shall-" He was cut off by Gerome's hand slapping over his mouth.

"We'll take care of them, Sir," he said.

Robin nodded. He looked around at the Shepherds. All of them looked so dejected. He had hoped their final battle would be met with celebration. Finally, he saw Sumia. She climbed of her Pegasus and slowly approached him. He began to walk towards her but noticed his body begin to fade away quicker. Noticing this, Sumia quickened her pace and threw her arms around him.

"This is it isn't it?" she asked?

"Y-Yeah." Robin wrapped his arms around him. "I have to admit, I'm a little scared."

Sumia smiled. "Don't worry. I'll be with you until the end."

"I don't think it'll be that much longer." He looked Sumia in the eyes, tears starting to well in her eyes. He wiped them away and did his best to smile. "Tell everyone, my last thoughts were of them." Sumia nodded. "And my heart," he leaned in and kissed her lips, "will always be with you." Sumia couldn't hold back her tears as Robin finally drifted off with the wind.

"Robin!" Sumia shouted. However, her voice fell on absent ears.

Robin was gone.

Sumia fell to her knees weeping uncontrollably. Her daughters quickly came to her side to comfort her. "D-Don't worry, Mother," Cynthia said. "Father said he wouldn't be gone long."

"Yeah," Morgan piped up. "I mean, this is Ylisse's Grandmaster we're talking about."

Sumia smiled at her daughters. "You're right. Thank you girls."

Chrom approached the three and helped Sumia to her feet. "We all owe Robin a debt. Me most of all. As such, I promise I will never stop looking for him. I'll go to the ends of the earth to find and bring him back to you."

"Ch-Chrom. Thank you." She looked at her daughters. "But we'll be looking too. Right, girls?"

Both of her daughters nodded eagerly.
