Chapter 28 Ghosts II
The green fumes swirled as did Scar's mind. "Snakes? No, Uzuri screwed up that plan. The hyenas? No, then I won't have any muscle to hush any rebels." Scar slammed his paw down in front of a geyser that erupted noxious fumes. Scar's mind swam in frustration, then it all clicked. "An accident!"
"What was that boss?" Banzi asked as he and his companions chewed on a wildebeest leg.
"We could kill two birds with one stone."
"Why do we want to kill birds?"
Ed gave Banzi a very certain look, "No, you moron." Shenzi smacked him upside the head. "He means to take care of both of the King and the Brat in one step."
"Exactly! Shenzi, but it will be very difficult to get them both at the same time." Scar tossed her another wildebeest leg.
Ed made a move to steal the leg, "Don't even Ed!" Shenzi threatened. Then Banzi stole the leg, catching her attention and in turn her fury. She tackled Banzi and began wailing on him eventually causing them to roll into Scar which only made him angrier, much angrier.
"Sorry boss." Banzi apologized quickly. Scar raised his paw but he calmed down.
"I can't work in these conditions," He continued to storm out of the cave.
"Now where the hell is my leg?!" Shenzi complained. Causing Ed to triumphantly laugh in the corner with two striped bones in front of him.
Outside the cave…
"Those idiots! It's a wonder they aren't extinct yet." Scar began to wander as his mind swam with ideas, "How am I gonna kill them?" Scar walked along the rock formations surrounding the Elephant Graveyard, he saw a great and tall spire at the Southernmost point in the Graveyard. Scar quickly climbed to the spire, and the higher he got the clearer his plan became. He slowed down to focus but when he stopped his vision began to fade,"No!" He quickly began bounding up the jagged spire as if he was chasing a gazelle.
Scar reached the peak of the spire and his mind hadn't been this clear in years. "Taka." A powerful but soothing voice said.
"Be gone demon." He said without even another wink.
"My son please listen to me." Ahadi pleaded.
"Why should I do that father?! Huh you gave away my betrothed to a filthy rogue, you squashed my dream of ruling the Pridelands, and… Annd?"
"Taka I am your father and I have done those thing but it was in the best interest of the rest of…"
"Don't try and feed me that warthog shit, I am no longer that impressionable cub that I once was."
"Sarafina was never meant to be your mate, and Mufasa proved to be a natural at being King he…"
"Screw him I am not here to listen to you gush about your favorite son!" Scar snapped.
"My point is that I am sorry for what I did to you as a cub, and that your mother and I forgive you for what you did." Ahadi said.
"I only meant to get you, mom was a casualty." Scar dismissed.
"Never the less Uru's death was an unforeseen consequence and if you continue on this path more consequences will happen."
Scar's blood began to boil, "Mark my words, Mufasa will die!"
Scar's words carried for miles, "So be it." Ahadi's apparition began to fade, "Just know you have done all of this to yourself, and that the judgement will have no mercey."
When Ahadi returned to the afterlife Scar was greeted by a large beautiful expanse of nothing. Sitting alone atop the spire he could see his plan unfolding in front of his eyes, "Hahaha." Scar began laughing uncontrollably. "By months end I will be the new king of the Pridelands."
Back in the Pridelands…
"Come on Malka not much farther."
"Simba where are we going?" Malka asked as his fear was creeping into his normally happy and brave facade.
"You're not chicken are yah?" Simba taunted as he lead the unsuspecting cub further and further into the complex expanse of branches and thorns. "We are here."
Malka looked up and he couldn't see the sun with how dense the thicket was. "And where is here?"
"This is my favorite spot for hide and seek."
Malka calmed down, "So who gets to hide?"
"I'll go first!" Simba shouted.
"Ok… one… two…" Malka began to peak, but when he saw he was completely alone his fears quickly started to get to him. "Did he leave me?" Malka began to wonder through the thicket, "He did leave me!"
Outside the Thicket…
"Take that slimeball." Simba said as he began to trot back to Pride Rock.
"HELP ME!"
Something snapped in Simba's head, "Oh no! What did I do?!" Simba began to tear through the thicket on his way to the shrieking cub. Simba came to a skid into the main chamber, "What's wrong?!"
"I got scared." Malka said as he was trembling from the isolation.
"I thought you were the bravest cub in the world?"
"That is only an act… My older brother is the brave one."
"Well I am sorry that I left you." Simba motion Malka to follow him out of the thicket.
"Why did you leave me in there?" He asked
"Ugh… I thought you were making a move on Nala…" Simba hung his head in shame.
"No, I wouldn't do that. Yeah she is pretty, but… Wait yeah I would." Malka joked.
Simba smacked him with his tail, "Don't be a butt head, Queeny!"
"Hey, it's not my fault that my dad wanted a girl!"
Back with Uzuri…
"So tell me more about where you are from?" Uzuri asked.
"I am from the Mountainlands, it is a beautiful place to the South of here."
"How long did you travel?"
"About two days, we sent Malka with my cousin here till Ni is dealt with. But they got separated and now I had to run down here to find my son."
"The pleasures of children."
"Glad you understand, so how many cubs do you have?"
Uzuri's face turned red and her depression started to sneak back into her mind. "Well I don't actually have any… Yet."
Tajiri felt bad and stopped in her tracks. "Oh, sorry about that."
"No it's fine…" She said as she shook tears from her eyes. Uzuri quickly put her strongest face on.
Tajiri felt the need to quickly change the topic, "So, who is the King here?"
"Mufa…"
"Mrs. Uzuri!" Zazu said as he swooped down in front of her cutting her off. "Mufasa wishes a conference with you and Queen Tajiri."
Back at Pride Rock…
"So that is why your dad named you Malka." Said Simba.
"Yeah, he wanted a daughter but got me and the nickname stuck."
"Malka! Get over here we can go home now."
"Sorry Simba time for me to go it was fun."
