Chapter 28: Indianapolis
Here's chapter 28 of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Fastest and the Squeakiest! Smoke the tires and light the fires! Let's go racing, boys and girls!
After an exciting weekend at Chicagoland during the final weekend off for the Sprint Cup Series, Dave, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor were
at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Everyone was going to be in the inaugural Indiana 250 for the Nationwide Series, but then they saw the one person
they were not hoping to see.
"You guys just never quit, do you?" said Ian as he came walking up to Brittany. "What are you doing here?" groaned Alvin. "As if you must know, Alvin, I'm in this
race too, and there's no way you guys are going to keep me out of Victory Lane this time. And why is Brittany driving the #22 car in this race?! I was supposed to be
in that car!" said Ian. "Sorry Ian, but I got signed up to drive this car in the race first." said Brittany. "Yeah! Now back off, Ian! We're tired of seeing you!" said Alvin.
He and Brittany hissed at Ian, causing him to run off to his car.
"I can't believe we are at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! I'm so excited, Alvin!" said Brittany. "Me too. Brittany, this place was built in 1909." said Alvin as he
stretched to get ready for the race. "Wow. 103 years old and it's still going strong." said Brittany. "Yep. And we are going to be part of the inaugural Indiana 250 for
the Nationwide Series. We're going to be a part of history." said Alvin. "And it's all because of you. You helped make this possible for us." said Brittany before she and
Alvin shared a warm kiss. Then, Nicole Briscoe started the pre-race show.
"Hello race fans, and welcome to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! I'm Nicole Briscoe, alongside Rusty Wallace and Brad Daugherty. Rusty, what's it like to race at
Indianapolis?" asked Nicole. "It's so incredible to race here because so many famous names have been heard in Victory Lane: Mario Andretti, Mark Donohue, Dale
Earnhardt, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Rick Mears, and Johnny Rutherford. If you win a race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, you will have one of the greatest
days of your whole life." said Rusty. "That's right, Rusty. It will also be an exciting day since the Chipmunks, the Chipettes, Dave, and Ian will be in this race today."
said Brad. "Speaking of the leader of the Chipettes, I believe Mike Massaro is with Brittany now. Mike?" said Nicole.
"That's right, Nicole. I'm with Brittany right now, who just got back from driver introductions. She is sitting by her car, signing autographs for the fans. Brittany, how
does it feel to be here today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway?" asked Mike. "It is such a huge honor to be here. I hope to do a great job today for Roger Penske
and this entire #22 team." said Brittany. "The winning team will also get to go onto the frontstretch at the end of the race and kiss the bricks." said Mike. "Wow! I
hope we'll get to do that today!" said Brittany excitedly. "Thanks Brittany. I believe Dave Burns is with your boyfriend right now. Dave?" said Mike.
"Thanks Mike. I'm with Alvin right now, and he will be in the #2 car for Elliott Sadler for the second straight race in a row. Alvin, after racing while sick, you now are
racing with Ian Hawke on the track. Can you or your family beat him in the race today?" asked Dave. "I hope so. Eleanor beat him at Road America a few weeks ago,
and I will also be in the #2 car at Iowa Speedway next week. Hopefully I can go three in a row for wins. If not, that's okay. All I need to do today is avoid Ian. If he
causes me to lose, I will not be happy." said Alvin. "Thanks Alvin." said Dave.

The pre-race ceremonies got through, the drivers got strapped into their cars, put on their helmets, HANS devices, and gloves, and then the window nets went up
and were secured. As Brittany got strapped into her car, Alvin came up to the driver-side window.
"Is this what you dreamed of doing? Racing at the Brickyard?" asked Alvin. "Yeah. But it came true because you're here with me. I couldn't have asked for anything
better than this. Thank you." said Brittany. "What about kissing the bricks if you win?" asked Alvin. "That too." said Brittany. "I love you." said Alvin. "I love you too."
said Brittany. The couple a shared a warm kiss before Brittany put her helmet, HANS device, and gloves on.
"Go get 'em, Brittany. And please avoid Ian." said Alvin. "Got it, chief." said Brittany. The couple shared a fist bump before Alvin put the window net up. Then, after
Alvin got strapped into his car, Brittany got to give the command from inside her car!
"DRIVERS, START YOUR ENGINES!" said Brittany excitedly. As all 43 engines roared to life, Marty Reid started the race coverage.
"Hello race fans, and welcome to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! I'm Allen Bestwick, alongside former Brickyard 400 winner Dale Jarrett and former crew chief
Andy Petree. Dale, what can we expect from this race today?" asked Marty. "I think we will see lots of action, an exciting and historic finish, and fast pit stops!" said
Dale. "Andy, do you think Brittany has a good enough car to win today and beat Ian?" asked Marty. "I hope so!" said Andy. "Well then, let's take a look at the starting
grid for the inaugural Indiana 250. Row 1 is #38 Kasey Kahne and #54 Kyle Busch. Kahne is on the pole. Row 2 is #51 Eleanor Seville and #18 Dave Seville. Row 3
is #2 Alvin Seville and #20 Simon Seville. Row 4 is #3 Ian Hawke and #22 Brittany Seville. Row 5 is #33 Paul Menard and #6 Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Row 6 is #36 Ryan
Blaney and #44 Mike Bliss. Row 7 is #12 Jeanette Seville and #31 Justin Allgaier. Row 8 is #11 Brian Scott and #4 Jeremy Clements. Row 9 is #70 Johanna Long
and #1 Kurt Busch. Row 10 is #99 Travis Pastrana and #7 Danica Patrick. Row 11 is #43 Theodore Seville and #19 Tayler Malsam. Row 12 is #01 Mike Wallace and
#81 Jason Bowles. Row 13 is #30 James Buescher and #24 Kenny Wallace. Row 14 is #98 Reed Sorenson and #87 Joe Nemechek. Row 15 is #08 Kyle Fowler and
#46 Chase Miller. Row 16 is #42 Josh Wise and #47 Stephen Leicht. Row 17 is #40 Erik Darnell and #14 Eric McClure. Row 18 is #10 Jeff Green and #86 Kevin
Lepage. Row 19 is #41 Timmy Hill and #15 Scott Riggs. Row 20 is #39 Jeffrey Earnhardt and #88 Cole Whitt. Row 21 is #52 Tim Schendel and #23 Robert
Richardson Jr. And starting last in row 22 is #50 T.J. Bell." said Marty as the field began their pace laps. "The drivers that will have on-board cameras today are Alvin,
Patrick, Stenhouse, Brittany, Kurt Busch, Ian, and Hamlin." said Dale. Brittany and Keselowski were talking on the radio.
"You ready to do this thing, Brittany?" asked Brad. "Yep. 10-4." said Brittany over the radio. "Just drive smart, race safely, and hopefully we'll be kissing the bricks at
the end of the day." said Brad. "Thanks. Let's have some fun today." said Brittany. Michael Annett and Theodore were talking on the radio.
"Theodore, you, Alvin, Stenhouse, and Allgaier are competiting in the final Nationwide Series Dash 4 Cash race of the year today. If you're the highest finisher out of
the four of you, you'll win $100,000!" said Michael Annett over the radio. "Sweet!" said Theodore. Then, the field got the one-to-go signal.
"What's the race analysis for today?" asked Brittany over the radio. "Race length is 100 laps/250 miles, pit window is 37-45 laps, and pit window is 55 mph." said
Brad. "Got it." said Brittany. Then, the pace car went to pit road, leaving the field in the hands of Kahne and Kyle Busch. Then, the green flag flew.
"Green flag is in the air! We are underway at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!" said Marty as the field raced into turn 1. Kahne spun his tires, which allowed Kyle
Busch to get out front as the field headed into turn 1. Dave followed Busch out front. As Kyle Busch held off Dave to lead the first lap of the race, Brittany got such a
huge run off turn 4, she was able to get past Alvin for sixth. Ian was right behind Brittany. On lap 3, Brittany was able to make a slingshot-move past Logano to
move into fifth.
"I'm really strong when coming out of turn 4. I'm able to slingshot past someone and then that's where I get the momentum to get down to the low lane when I get
to turn 1." said Brittany over the radio. "Good. Just stay focused here." said Brad. Brittany settled in behind Eleanor on lap 5. On lap nine, the top five was still the
same: Kyle Busch, Dave, Kahne, Eleanor, and Brittany. Simon was behind her in sixth, with Menard, Alvin, and Ian in hot pursuit.
"Those chipmunks can run, but they can't hide." said Ian to himself. On lap 11, Brittany drafted up to Eleanor, and then Brittany made another slingshot-move to the
outside lane, giving the leader of the Chipettes enough momentum to move past Eleanor and into fourth.
"Nice move, Brittany!" said Brad Keselowski over the radio. On lap 13, Ian was trying to get by Simon. But Alvin was right behind Ian.
"Ian, you'd better not wreck my brother. If you do, I'll be after you." said Alvin to himself. Jeanette, who was running in 10th, also saw Simon and Ian.
"Simon, look behind you. It's Ian." said Jeanette over the radio. "Oh no." groaned Simon to himself. Theodore, however, was struggling to keep up.
"I'm getting really loose on corner entry, and I'm tight coming off the corner. Loose in, tight off." said Theodore over the radio. "Okay. We'll work on it." said Michael
Annett. On lap 16, the first caution of the race came out. It was a competition caution because of the rain that passed through during the inaugural Brickyard Grand
Prix for the Rolex Sports Car Series the day before.
"Competition caution is out because of the rain on Friday." said Marty as the field slowed down for the first time in the race. "Brittany, everyone's pitting because this
is a competition caution because of the rain from yesterday." said Brad Keselowski over the radio. "Got it. Coming to you." said Brittany. Sure enough, everyone on
the lead lap followed Kyle Busch down pit road for tires and fuel. Everyone made their stops, and when the stops were finished, the top ten coming off pit road was
Dave, Kahne, Brittany, Alvin, Kyle Busch, Jeanette, Eleanor, Simon, Ian, and Stenhouse. As Kurt Busch was coming off pit road, he accidently bumped Kyle Fowler,
causing damage to both cars, and almost causing Theodore to hit Kurt's car.
"Sorry about that." said Kurt over the radio to Theodore. "That's okay. You alright, Kurt?" asked Theodore. "Yeah, I'm alright. Just have some front-end damage on
the nose." said Kurt. "Okay." said Theodore. Jeff Green stayed out to lead a lap, and then he came in to pit. On lap 21, the green flag flew once again, and Dave got a
good jump on Kahne and Brittany, and he held off Brittany long enough to lead the lap. But thanks to some drafting help from Kyle Busch, Brittany got enough
momentum to go to the inside lane and take the lead from Dave.
"Nice move, Brittany! Atta girl!" said Brad Keselowski over the radio. But then, Kahne tried to get by Busch and Dave, and Busch blocked, which opened up a hole for
Kahne to try to get through, thanks to a push from Alvin. (My favorite Chipmunk and NASCAR driver drafting with each other? Awesome!) Kyle Busch and
Kahne nearly made contact in turn 3, but Kyle held onto second while Kahne settled into third.
"Thanks, Alvin!" said Kahne over the radio. "You got it, Kasey!" said Alvin. Brittany opened up about a 1-second lead over Kyle Busch as she led the lap. Going into
turn 1, Jeanette made a three-wide pass on Alvin and Eleanor!
"Nice move, Jeanette!" said Alvin. "Yeah, Jeanette!" said Eleanor. "Very impressive, Jeanette!" said Sam Hornish Jr. over the radio. "Thanks!" said Jeanette. Ian then
got by Alvin a moment later for seventh.
"You'd better not wreck my girlfriend, Ian Hawke." said Alvin to himself. On lap 25, the top ten was Brittany, Kyle Busch, Kahne, Dave, Jeanette, Eleanor, Ian, Alvin,
Simon, and Stenhouse. On lap 27, Kyle Busch took the lead from Brittany. On lap 30, Ian's car got loose, dropping him to 11th. On the same lap, Menard got past
Simon for eighth.
"I'm a bit tight in the center of the corner, Joey." said Simon over the radio. "Okay. We'll keep working on it. Just hang on." said Logano. As Kyle Busch continued to
lead, Theodore was still trying to catch up.
"That adjustment helped a little bit, but I'm still a bit tight on corner exit." said Theodore over the radio. "Okay. We'll keep working on that." said Michael Annett. As
Alvin chased after Eleanor for sixth, Brittany came to pit road to begin what was supposed to be a round of green-flag pit stops. Brittany made her four-tire stop and
then left the pits. As Brittany got back onto the track, Kyle Busch came to pit road and was followed by Dave, Eleanor, Simon, and Kurt Busch. As Eleanor, Simon,
and Kurt Busch made their stops, the second caution of the race came out because of a crash involving Sorenson and Danica Patrick.
"Trouble in turn 2! Reed Sorenson and Danica Patrick are involved! Caution is out!" said Marty Reid as the field slowed down again. Patrick and Sorenson were not
hurt in the wreck. Patrick climbed out of her damaged #7 Chevrolet Impala SS and made the mandatory trip to the infield care center as Sorenson came from the pits
for repairs.
"Are we going to pit?" asked Jeanette over the radio. "Yes, we are pitting." said Sam Hornish Jr. Sure enough, everyone on the lead lap that had not yet pitted, came
to pit road for tires and fuel. Everyone made their stops, and when the stops were complete, the top ten coming off pit road was Jeanette, Menard, Kahne,
Stenhouse, Alvin, Ian, Scott, Theodore, Allgaier, and Blaney.
"Nice work, guys! Nice job!" said Jeanette over the radio, clearly pleased with the stop. Kurt Busch pulled off the track on lap 40 because of electrical issues. When
the lineup for the restart was sorted out, the top ten was Kyle Busch, Brittany, Dave, Eleanor, Simon, Jeanette, Menard, Kahne, Stenhouse, and Alvin. On lap 47, the
green flag flew once again, and Kyle Busch got a good jump on the restart going into turn 2. Busch held off Brittany and easily led the lap. Alvin was also trying to
make his way back to the front.
"I'm hoping the traffic settles down soon, Elliott." said Alvin over the radio. "You'll be alright. Just hang on." said Sadler. Finally, the race reached the halfway point:
lap 50.
"We made it to the halfway point, guys!" said Brittany over the radio. "Awesome!" said Alvin. "Sweet!" said Simon. "Fantastic!" said Theodore. "Yeah!" said Jeanette.
"Let's finish this race!" said Eleanor. "Terrific!" said Dave. "Good! I still will not lose." said Ian. On lap 50, the top ten was Kyle Busch, Brittany, Eleanor, Simon,
Jeanette, Dave, Kahne, Alvin, Stenhouse, and Ian.
"I'm doing all I can to catch the leader, Brad." said Brittany over the radio. "I know. Just hang in there. You'll be alright." said Brad Keselowski. "I'll try." said
Brittany. With 44 laps to go, Jeanette was chasing after Simon for fourth.
"If you want this spot, Jeanette, you'll have to take it." said Simon over the radio. "Oh really? Well then, when we get home, why don't we race in the Nationwide
Series race at Watkins Glen; me and you." said Jeanette. "Is that a joke?" asked Simon. "No. How about this: if you win, I'll do whatever you want for a week. But if I
win, I get to make you do what I want for a week." said Jeanette. "Oh really? That doesn't sound too hard." said Simon as Menard passed Ian for tenth with 43 laps
to go. "We'll see." said Jeanette. With 37 laps to go, the third caution of the race came out. There was debris on the track.
"Debris on the frontstretch! Caution is out!" said Marty Reid as the field slowed down again. "Are we pitting?" asked Brittany over the radio. "Yes, we are pitting.
Follow the leader." said Brad Keselowski. Sure enough, everyone on the lead lap came to pit road for tires and fuel. Everyone made their stops, and when the stops
were complete, the top ten coming off pit road was Jeanette, Theodore, Ian, Scott, Brittany, Simon, Dave, Alvin, Kyle Busch, and Kahne.
"Since Danica Patrick, our in-race reporter, is out of the race, Alvin has now become our in-race reporter. Dale Jarrett, let's see if we can talk to him." said Marty
Reid. "Alvin, this is Dale Jarrett up in the ESPN booth. You copy?" asked Jarrett. "Yeah, Dale. I got you." said Alvin over the radio. "Alvin, you've been having a solid
run today. How's it going out there?" asked Jarrett. "It's going well. I just hope to finish this race with no issues and hopefully we'll have a shot to win this thing."
said Alvin. "Alright Alvin. Good luck out there." said Jarrett. "Thanks." said Alvin. Then, with 34 laps to go, the green flag flew once again, and Jeanette got a good
jump on Theodore and Ian going into turn 1. Ian got past Theodore for second, but Brittany got by Theodore as well. Thanks to a push from Dave, Alvin was able to
move into fifth as Jeanette held off Ian and Brittany and easily led the lap. One lap later, Brittany got past Ian as Alvin passed Theodore. As Brittany chased down her
sister, Alvin got past Ian for third while Kyle Busch passed Theodore for sixth. Alvin and Brittany were on the move.
"I'm right behind you, Britt." said Alvin over the radio. "I see you, Alvin." said Brittany as Kyle Busch passed Ian for fourth. With 29 laps to go, Brittany got past
Jeanette for the lead!
"See ya, Jeanette!" said Brittany as she went by. "Oh, it's on now." said Jeanette to herself. A few laps later, the fourth caution of the race came out. Brian Scott got
loose and spun in front of Eleanor and Menard. Eleanor got a piece of the incident, but continued on as Menard dived to pit road.
"Trouble in turn 4! Brian Scott has gone around, and barely clips the #51 car of Eleanor as Menard heads for pit road! Caution is out!" said Marty Reid as the field
slowed down again. "You okay, Eleanor?" asked Ty Dillon over the radio. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm coming to you guys." said Eleanor. Sure enough, Eleanor came to pit
road for four tires, fuel, and adjustments. A few other drivers came in to pit. Dave, Ian, and the rest of the chipmunks did not pit. With 22 laps to go, the green flag
flew, and Brittany got a huge jump on Jeanette, which allowed Alvin to move into second! But then, the caution came right back out after Jeanette and Kyle Busch
made contact on the track, causing Busch to spin right in front of Ian, Dave, and Theodore.
"Trouble in turn 2! Kyle Busch has gone around! Caution is out!" said Marty Reid as the field slowed down again. "Sorry, Kyle! That was my fault." said Jeanette over
the radio. "No, no. It wasn't your fault. I got loose and got into you." said Kyle Busch. "Okay. You alright?" asked Jeanette. "Yeah, I'm alright. You?" asked Kyle.
"Yeah, I'm fine." said Jeanette.
"That was way too close! And he cut me off! He can't do that!" said Ian over the radio, frustrated. "Ian, just relax. We'll get back up there." said Austin Dillon. Busch
came to the pits for tires, fuel, and adjustments.
"We're on the front row for the restart, Brittany!" said Alvin over the radio. "Yeah. I bet our fans are getting photos of this right now." said Brittany. "I believe you are
correct." said Alvin. With 19 laps to go, Brittany spun her tires, allowing Alvin to get out front, with also a push from Ian. Alvin held off Brittany and Ian and easily led
the lap. But a few seconds later, trouble struck for Alvin.
"Guys, you will not believe this: Alvin Seville has been black-flagged for jumping the restart!" said Marty Reid. "Alvin, you've been black-flagged for jumping the
restart." said Elliott Sadler. "WHAT?! Uh-uh! No way! There's no way I jumped the restart!" said Alvin over the radio angrily as he was shown the black flag. "NASCAR
looked at the replay, and they're saying you jumped the restart." said Sadler. "I was pushed, NASCAR! Please look at it again! I demand a second opinion on this
right now!" said Alvin. "Alvin, serve your penalty." said Sadler. "I will once I get a second opinion!" said Alvin as he was shown the black flag a second time. "Alvin, if
you don't serve your penalty in the next few laps, they will show you the black flag with a white stripe, meaning you will no longer be scored." said Sadler. "They can
do that to me after the race. I'm staying here. I'm not serving my penalty until I get answers!" said Alvin. "ALVIN! Serve your penalty or else you will not get to kiss
the bricks with me if I win the race. And don't you dare say no to me." said Brittany. "FINE! I'LL SERVE MY STINKING PENALTY!" shouted Alvin over the radio as he
reluctantly served his penalty. "Alvin Seville, if you yell at me like that again, you can forget about kissing the bricks with us." said Brittany as she took the lead. "And
tell Ian that after the race, I'll be looking for him." said Alvin. "Don't even think about it, Alvin." said Brittany. Alvin shut off his radio. "GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"
growled Alvin angrily as he got back on the track in 25th. With 10 laps to go, the top ten was Brittany, Jeanette, Eleanor, Ian, Dave, Theodore, Simon, Kahne,
Stenhouse, and Menard. With 7 laps to go, Kahne got past Simon for seventh as Alvin made his way into 21st while Brittany continued to lead.
"This could be the second 1-2-3 finish for the Chipettes this season! Last time, it was at the Sprint All-Star Race, which Eleanor ended up winning, followed by
Brittany and Jeanette in second and third." said Marty Reid as Dave got past Ian for fourth with 5 laps to go. With 4 laps to go, Theodore was running in sixth, just
four laps away from the $100,000 bonus in the final Nationwide Dash 4 Cash race of the year. 3 laps later, Brittany saw the white flag.
"White flag is in the air! One lap to go for Brittany! Can she hold off her sisters?" asked Marty Reid as the field took the white flag. "One more lap, Brittany. One more
lap." said Brad Keselowski over the radio as Brittany went down the backstretch one final time. Then, Brittany saw the checkered flag.
"Here comes Brittany off of turn 4! Brittany Seville wins at Indianapolis! And for the second time this season, the Chipettes finish 1-2-3! Brittany first, Jeanette
second, and Eleanor third! And Theodore has won $100,000 in the final Nationwide Dash 4 Cash race of the year!" said Marty Reid as the field took the checkered
flag. "Brittany Seville, you just won at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!" said Brad Keselowski. "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH! HAHAHA! WE WON AT THE BRICKYARD! WE
WON AT THE BRICKYARD!" said Brittany over the radio excitedly. "Congratulations Brittany. That's my girl." said Alvin, who finished 15th. "Way to go, Brittany!" said
Simon. "You did it, Brittany!" said Theodore. "Good race, Brittany." said Jeanette. "We finished 1-2-3 again, Brittany!" said Eleanor. "Atta girl, Brittany!" said Dave.
"Those three girls are really beginning to tick me off." said Ian. Brittany then did a burnout on the frontstretch, got the American Flag, and then went for a victory
lap. Meanwhile, Alvin was furious.
"I can't believe Ian made me lose like that!" said Alvin to himself as he viciously threw his helmet, HANS device, and gloves into the car. "You wouldn't be talking
about me, would you?" asked Ian as he came up to Alvin. "YOU COST ME THE RACE! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" shouted Alvin angrily. He then threw his empty water
bottle at Ian, chasing him off and out of sight. After that, he saw Brittany getting the checkered flag in her hand and saw her drive off to Victory Lane. Meanwhile,
Theodore was getting his $100,000 bonus check.
"Theodore, you won the final Nationwide Dash 4 Cash race of the year. Congratulations!" said Mike Massaro. "Thank you so much. I almost can't even tell you how
much this means to me. This is incredible. I want to thank Richard Petty and Michael Annett for giving me this chance, and I look forward to driving the #20 car for
Joey Logano at the Nationwide Series race in Charlotte in October." said Theodore. "Thanks Theodore." said Mike as Brittany arrived in Victory Lane. She parked the
car, shut off the engine, got unbuckled, took off her helmet, HANS device, and gloves, put on a Discount Tire Racing hat, climbed out of the car, and then the big
celebration began!
"Wooooohoooooo! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yeah, baby!" said Brittany as she was showered in Gatorade and confetti. Dr. Jerry Punch came and interviewed Brittany.
"Brittany, you are the inaugural winner of the Indiana 250 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Nationwide Series. Congratulations." said Jerry. "Thanks. I just
can't thank this team enough. They gave me a great car, we worked hard all race long, and we just did what we had to do. I hate it that my boyfriend, Alvin, got
black-flagged for jumping the restart, but he and I are going to take everyone else to the bricks, and we are going to give those bricks a big kiss!" said Brittany.
"Enjoy, and good luck tomorrow. And your family is here!" said Jerry. Dave, the six chipmunks and Ian shared a group hug, handshakes, and high-fives. Alvin and
Brittany then shared a warm kiss on the lips for a moment, earning an "Awwww!" from everyone watching in Victory Lane. Then, Dave, Ian, and the five other
chipmunks went to the other side of Victory Lane, Dave took out his camera, and he started taking photos of Brittany and the #22 Discount Tire Racing team.
"Alright, Brittany. You ready to see your dream of kissing the bricks come true?" asked Alvin as he and Brittany walked to the long line of bricks, hand-in-hand. "You
bet I am, Alvin." said Brittany. Alvin and Brittany arrived at the line of bricks moments later, and then Alvin and the four other chipmunks, along with Dave and Ian,
stood in front of Brittany, Alvin took the camera, and then got in position.
"Alright , Brittany, go for it!" said Alvin. Then, Brittany got on her knees, leaned down, and kissed the brick in front of her as Alvin took the photo.
"Perfect! Now let's ALL do it! Line up, everyone!" said Alvin. Brad Keselowski took over the camera, and Dave, Ian, and the chipmunks lined up along the line of
bricks (imagine you're the photographer in front of the bricks from left to right: Ian, Dave, Simon, Jeanette, Brittany, Alvin, Theodore, Eleanor). The
group was then on their knees, they leaned down, and they kissed the bricks in front of them as Keselowski got the photo.
"Perfect!" said Keselowski. Alvin then sneakily planted a kiss on Brittany's cheek, leaving a mark of rubber, and then he took off running to the RV.
"Alvin Seville, you come back here right now!" said Brittany. "Catch me if you can, Brittany!" laughed Alvin. Brittany then leapt on top of him, and planted a kiss on
his cheek, leaving the same mark.
"Now we're even." said Brittany. Soon, all six chipmunks and Dave were clean after taking turns taking their shower at the hotel close to the track. Ian had left the
track after the post-race ceremonies. Soon, Dave and the six chipmunks were asleep moments later.

The next day, Dave and the six chipmunks were back at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, ready for the Brickyard 400 for the Sprint Cup Series, where Jeanette was
still the points leader. She was determined to hold onto her lead in the points standings.
"I hope I leave remaining the points leader." said Jeanette. "You're having a great season so far. Just keep doing what you've been doing." said Matt Kenseth.
"Thanks. I just want to get through these next races and make the Chase." said Jeanette. "Your chances of making the Chase are more than good." said Matt.
"Thanks." said Jeanette. "Have you made your decision on whether you want to continue racing with me or not?" asked Matt. "Not yet. I'm waiting to see if the #20
car becomes open. If so, I might go for it." said Jeanette. "Okay." said Matt.
"Like I said yesterday: It's so incredible to race here because so many famous names have been heard in Victory Lane: Mario Andretti,
Mark Donohue, Dale Earnhardt, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Rick Mears, and Johnny Rutherford. If you win a race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, you will have
one of the greatest days of your whole life." said Rusty. "That's right, Rusty. And after Brittany's big win in the Nationwide Series race after Alvin was black-flagged
for jumping the final restart, I bet she will be a serious contender for the win today." said Brad. "Speaking of Brittany, I believe Jamie Little is with her now. Jamie?"
said Nicole.
"That's right, Nicole. I'm with Brittany right now, who is sitting by her car, signing autographs for the fans. Brittany, with your win in the Nationwide Series race
yesterday, do you have momentum for this race today?" asked Jamie. "I don't know if we have a winning car, but I think we have a car that can have a top-five or
top-ten run today. All we're trying to do is get as many points as we can until the Chase begins." said Brittany. "Thanks Brittany. I believe Vince Welch is with our
points leader. Vince?" said Jamie. "Thanks Jamie. I'm with Jeanette right now, who is also by her car, signing autographs for the fans. Jeanette, how do you think you
will do today after your runner-up finish in the Nationwide Series race yesterday?" asked Vince. "I think we'll do okay today. But it's a long race. It's a 400 mile race,
anything can happen in this sport, Jimmie Johnson is going to be the one to beat today, and we're going to have to work hard to catch him and keep the points lead."
said Jeanette. "Thanks Jeanette." said Vince.

The pre-race ceremonies got through, the drivers got strapped into their cars, put on their helmets, HANS devices, and gloves, and then the window nets went up
and were secured. Then, a Indianapolis Motor Speedway representative, Mari Hulman George, gave the command.
"DRIVERS, START YOUR ENGINES!" said Mari. As all 43 engines roared to life, Allen Bestwick began the race coverage for ESPN.
"Hello race fans, and welcome to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! I'm Allen Bestwick, alongside 1999 Brickyard 400 winner Dale Jarrett and former crew chief, Andy
Petree. Dale, being a former winner, what is it like to win here at the Brickyard?" asked Allen. It's one of the greatest feelings ever. If you win here, you'll have a
career to remember." said Jarrett. "Andy, do you think Brittany can sweep at the Brickyard?" asked Allen. "I hope so!" said Andy. "Well then, let's take a look at the
starting grid for the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Row 1 is #11 Denny Hamlin and #99 Carl Edwards. Hamlin is on the pole. Row 2 is #20 Joey
Logano and #43 Aric Almirola. Row 3 is #16 Greg Biffle and #48 Jimmie Johnson. Row 4 is #18 Kyle Busch and #27 Paul Menard. Row 5 is #24 Jeff Gordon and #17

McMurray. Row 9 is #56 Martin Truex Jr. and #21 Trevor Bayne. Row 10 is #55 Mark Martin and #88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Row 11 is #31 Jeff Burton and #2 Brittany
Seville. Row 12 is #9 Marcos Ambrose and #22 Sam Hornish Jr. Row 13 is #13 Casey Mears and #30 David Stremme. Row 14 is #29 Alvin Seville and #14 Simon
Seville. Row 15 is #47 Bobby Labonte and #93 Travis Kvapil. Row 16 is #38 David Gilliland and #36 Dave Blaney. Row 17 is #15 Theodore Seville and #95 Scott

Row 21 is #10 J.J. Yeley and #32 Ken Schrader. And starting last in row 22 is #19 Mike Bliss." said Allen as the field began their pace laps. "The drivers that have
on-board cameras today are #2 Brittany Seville, #14 Simon Seville, #15 Theodore Seville, #18 Kyle Busch, four-time Brickyard 400 winner #24 Jeff Gordon, last
year's Brickyard 400 winner #27 Paul Menard, #29 Alvin Seville, and Alvin's favorite NASCAR driver #88 Dale Earnhardt Jr." said Andy. "Let's see if we can talk to
Simon Seville, our ESPN In-Race Reporter. Simon Seville, this is Dale Jarrett up in the ESPN booth. You copy?" asked Jarrett. "Loud and clear, Dale. How are you?"
asked Simon over the radio. "Doing well. You won Daytona a few weeks ago after a rough night in Kentucky. Can you keep the momentum from Daytona and Loudon
going into today's race?" asked Jarrett. "I think so. We'll just have to make sure that we hit our marks, have the right strategy, and get as many points as possible
for the Chase." said Simon. "Can you get to the front from 28th today?" asked Jarrett. "I hope so. I just want to get out of here with a solid points day." said Simon.
"Alright, Simon, good luck out there today." said Jarrett. "Thanks. You too." said Simon. Alvin noticed who he was starting next to.
"Hey Si! We're starting next to each other!" said Alvin over the radio with a chuckle. "I'm still going to finish ahead of you." said Simon. Alvin laughed. "Yeah right!
Like that's really going to happen!" said Alvin, laughing. "We'll see." said Simon. As the field got the one-to-go signal, Dave came on the radio.
"Welcome to Indianapolis Motor Speedway! Be safe, have fun, and hopefully we'll have a shot at the win today." said Dave over the radio. "Okay, Dave!" said the six
chipmunks. "Simon, what is the race analysis for today?" asked Dave. "Race length is 160 laps/400 miles. Pit window is 30-35 laps, and pit road speed is 55 mph."
said Simon. "Thanks!" said Dave. Then, the pace car went to pit road, leaving the field in the hands of Hamlin and Edwards. Then, the green flag was flown.
"Green flag is in the air! We are underway in Indianapolis!" said Allen Bestwick as the field raced side-by-side into turn 1. Hamlin and Edwards raced side-by-side for
three-quarters of a lap before Hamlin cleared Edwards coming off turn 4. Hamlin held off Edwards and easily led the first lap of the race. On lap 2, Jeanette got past
Menard for ninth. On lap 4, Johnson got past Edwards and started to chase down Hamlin. On lap 5, Jeanette moved past Almirola to move into eighth as Eleanor
moved past Smith to move into 14th.
"I'm hoping the traffic settles down quickly. It's making the car tight in the corners." said Jeanette over the radio. "Okay. We'll do what we can. Just hang on." said
Jimmy Fenning. While Jeanette and Eleanor were moving up, Brittany was dropping back.
"I can't go anywhere. The car is so tight, I feel like I'm going to hit the wall." said Brittany over the radio. "You'll be alright. We'll work on it on the first pit stop." said
Paul Wolfe. Simon was also trying to move up.
"The car is so loose every time I enter the corner. It's so loose, I feel like I'm going to spin the car out and wreck." said Simon over the radio. "Okay. We'll work on it
on the first stop." said Steve Addington as Simon passed Hornish for 22nd on lap 7. On lap 12, trouble struck for Edwards.
"Edwards has slowed on the track! I think he might have an ignition problem!" said Allen Bestwick as Edwards tried to make it back around to the pits. "That also has
probably got Biffle and Jeanette worried, since they run in Roush-Fenway Racing equipment too." said Dale Jarrett.
"Carl, you okay?" asked Jeanette over the radio. "I don't know what's going on. The car all of a sudden just lost power." said Edwards. "Can you get back to the pits?"
asked Jeanette. "Yeah, I think so." said Edwards. "Okay." said Jeanette. As Edwards pulled into the pits for repairs, Alvin, who was stuck in 25th, was on the radio.
"How long until we pit?" asked Alvin over the radio. "Not long. Why?" asked Shane Wilson. "This car is so evil-loose, I feel like I'm going to wreck!" said Alvin. "Okay.
We'll work on that. Just hang on." said Shane. As Simon made his way to 20th, Edwards got back on the track after his team reconnected a spark plug wire. As
Hamlin continued to lead, McMurray, the 2010 Brickyard 400 winner, came to pit road for a two-tire stop on lap 18. On lap 22, Eleanor was in seventh after getting
by Jeanette.
"See ya, Jeanette!" said Eleanor. "Oh, I don't think so!" said Jeanette. One lap later, Theodore, Brittany, and Alvin were 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. On lap 25, Brittany
came to pit road along with Kurt Busch and Logano to begin a round of green-flag pit stops. As they left the pits after finishing their stops, Mark Martin came to pit
road and was followed by Montoya, Burton, Alvin, Cassill, Biffle, Earnhardt Jr., Mears, Hamlin, Johnson, Menard, Simon, Bayne, Blaney, Eleanor, Smith, Schrader,
Almirola, Dave, Labonte, Gilliland, Ragan, Stremme, Ambrose, Truex, Gordon, Kyle Busch, Hornish, Kvapil, Leicht, Edwards, Jeanette, and Theodore. When the cycle
of pit stops was finished, Johnson emerged as the race leader. On lap 30, the top ten was Johnson, Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Gordon, Biffle, Logano, Jeanette, Eleanor,
Truex, and McMurray. On lap 34, Earnhardt Jr. moved into tenth. On lap 35, Dave and Simon both moved past McMurray to move into 16th and 17th.
"I think I'll just follow Dave until I can get the car to where I want it to be." said Simon to himself. On lap 41, the first caution of the race came out. Kvapil blew a tire
and hit the wall.
"Trouble in turn 2! Travis Kvapil is in the wall HARD! Caution is out!" said Allen Bestwick as the field slowed down for the first time in the race. "Are we pitting, Tony?"
asked Dave over the radio. "Yes, we are pitting." said Tony Gibson. "Got it. Coming to you." said Dave. Sure enough, Johnson led everyone on the lead lap, except
Brittany, down pit road for tires, fuel, and adjustments. Everyone made their stops, and when the stops were complete, the top ten coming off pit road was Hamlin,
Johnson, Kyle Busch, Biffle, Logano, Jeanette, Gordon, Eleanor, Earnhardt Jr., and Truex. When Busch was coming off pit road, he had gray smoke coming out of the
exhaust pipes.
"Kyle, what's with the smoke?" asked Theodore over the radio. "Good question. I have no clue." said Kyle Busch. "The engine's not blowing up, is it?" asked
Theodore. "No, that's not it." said Kyle. "I think it could be some excess oil in the exhaust." said Theodore. "Maybe." said Kyle. When the field got the one-to-go
signal, Brittany questioned Paul Wolfe's call on keeping her on the track.
"Why did you keep me out here, Paul?" asked Brittany over the radio. "We need to gain track position, and plus, it is so hard to pass here when everyone gets spread
out." said Wolfe. "Okay. Whatever you say." said Brittany. Kyle Busch dropped to 13th because he did not maintain minimum speed. On lap 45, the green flag was
back out, and Brittany got a good jump on Hamlin and Johnson going into turn 1, but as Hamlin slid up the track, Johnson passed Brittany in turn 2. Johnson held off
Brittany and easily led the lap. But one lap later, the second caution of the race came out after Theodore spun in turn 2.
"Trouble in turn 2! Theodore has gone around, and he has damage to the rear of his car! Caution is out!" said Allen Bestwick as the field slowed down again.
"Theodore, you okay?" asked Brian Pattie. "I'm fine, but I've got damage on the left rear fender, and my left-rear tire is flat! I'm coming in! Four tires and fuel." said
Theodore over the radio. "Okay. You got it." said Brian as Theodore pulled into his pit stall. "Nice job keeping the car off the wall." said Brian. "Thanks." said
Theodore. The team changed all four tires, pulled the fender away from the tire, refueled the car, and then Theodore got back on the track, remaining on the lead
lap. On lap 51, the green flag flew once again, and Johnson got a good jump on Brittany going into turn 1. Going down the backstretch, Jeanette drafted with
Earnhardt Jr., which sent him into fifth!
"Thanks Jeanette!" said Earnhardt Jr. over the radio. "You got it." said Jeanette. On lap 53, Alvin passed Hornish for 20th after Hornish almost cut him off in turn 2.
He pointed his index finger at Hornish, showing his displeasure and that he did not like what Hornish did.
"That former Indycar driver just tried to cut me off!" said Alvin to himself. One lap later, as Johnson continued to lead, Kyle Busch pushed Logano past Jeanette,
Busch also going by in the process, to move into sixth and seventh, while Kyle's older brother, Kurt, passed Eleanor to move into tenth.
"I'm a bit tight in the center of the corner, Kenny." said Eleanor over the radio. "Okay. We'll work on it next time we pit." said Kenny Francis. On lap 59, Brittany
found herself back in second, in front of Biffle!
"You just passed Biffle on older tires? I'm impressed." said Paul Wolfe. "So am I." said Brittany over the radio. But on lap 60, Brittany came to pit road for tires and
fuel, getting her stop in.
"What's your plan, Paul?" asked Brittany over the radio. "We're playing the fuel-mileage game." said Paul. "How many more stops can we make it on for this race?"
asked Brittany. "Well, if we can plan our stops right, we should be able to make it on two more stops at least." said Paul. "Okay. I hope this works." said Brittany. "It
will. Trust me." said Paul. When Brittany finished her stop, she left the pits and got back onto the track in 33rd, and luckily, on the lead lap.
"You're still on the lead lap, Brittany. As Johnson continued to lead on lap 69, Kurt Busch came to pit road to begin another round of green-flag pit stops. One lap
later, McMurray came in for his stop. As soon as he left the pits, Hornish came in for his stop and was followed by Kyle Busch, Hamlin, Johnson, Biffle, Menard, Truex,
Eleanor, Logano, Smith, Kurt Busch, who's tire changer missed a lug nut, Dave, Martin, Alvin, Gordon, Jeanette, Montoya, Theodore, Simon, Almirola, Ambrose,
Burton, Cassill, Gilliland, Ragan, Labonte, Stremme, Bayne, Blaney, Edwards, Mears, and Leicht. When the pit stops were finished on lap 80, which was the halfway
point, the top ten was Brittany, Johnson, Gordon, Biffle, Kyle Busch, Earnhardt Jr., Logano, Jeanette, Truex, and Menard.
"We made it to the halfway point, guys!" said Brittany over the radio. "Awesome!" said Alvin. "Fantastic!" said Simon. "Wooohoooo!" said Theodore. "Sweet!" said
Jeanette. "Let's finish this!" said Eleanor. "Yes!" said Dave. Simon, however, was struggling.
"Something is seriously wrong, Steve. This car is just not going anywhere." said Simon over the radio. "It's okay, Simon. We'll work on it." said Steve Addington as
Hamlin and Menard got past Eleanor for 11th and 12th. On lap 90, Brittany came to pit road as part of the team's strategy, handing the lead over to Johnson. She got
four tires, fuel, adjustments, and then she left the pits. Four laps later, the third caution of the race came out. Mears blew a tire and hit the wall in turn 2.
"Trouble in turn 2! Casey Mears is in the wall! Caution is out!" said Allen Bestwick as the field slowed down again. "Are we pitting?" asked Jeanette over the radio.
"Yes, we are pitting." said Jimmy Fenning. Sure enough, everyone on the lead lap, except Brittany, came to pit road for tires, fuel, and adjustments. Everyone made
their stops, and when the stops were finished, the top ten coming off pit road was Smith, Johnson, Biffle, Gordon, Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Busch, Jeanette, Hamlin, Truex
Jr., and Menard. Smith took fuel only. Everyone else got four tires.
"Great job, guys! We're still in the top ten!" said Jeanette over the radio. "We can do this." said Jimmy Fenning. On lap 100, the green flag flew once again, and
Brittany and Smith raced side-by-side into turn 1. But Brittany got loose in turn 2, giving Johnson a shot at the lead. Johnson then got by Smith in turn 3. Johnson
held off Kyle Busch, Gordon, and Biffle, who also got by Smith, and easily led the lap, while Brittany dropped to seventh.
"Brittany, you okay?" asked Paul Wolfe. "Yeah, I'm good. I'm good. I've got it under control." said Brittany over the radio. "Okay." said Paul. On lap 104, Jeanette
made a three-wide pass on Eleanor AND Alvin to move into 13th.
"Woah. I guess she learned a lot from what I taught her." said Alvin to himself. On lap 108, Dave was in tenth.
"I don't know what adjustments you guys made to this car, but you certainly made it a top-ten car." said Dave over the radio, clearly pleased. "Good. Keep up the
good work." said Tony Gibson. As Johnson continued to lead, Eleanor came on his radio.
"Jimmie, if you win today, how many Brickyard 400 wins will that be for you?" asked Eleanor over the radio. "Four." said Johnson. "Wow! I'm impressed. No wonder
you're so good here." said Eleanor. "That, and my hero, Rick Mears, also won the Indy 500 four times." said Johnson. "Wow. I'd love to win the Indy 500 someday.
Along with the Brickyard 400, of course." said Eleanor, giggling. "I know you can do it. Just keep practicing, and who knows? You could be the next Indy 500
champion." said Johnson. "Let's get through this race first." said Eleanor. "Good idea." said Johnson. On lap 125, the fourth caution of the race came out. Burton cut
a tire down, causing debris to go onto the track.
"Jeff Burton has cut a tire down, and there is debris on the backstretch! Caution is out!" said Allen Bestwick as the field slowed down again. "Are we pitting?" asked
Brittany over the radio. "Yes, we are pitting. This is our last stop of the race." said Paul Wolfe. "Got it. Coming to you." said Brittany. Sure enough, everyone on the
lead lap came to pit road for tires, fuel, and adjustments. Everyone made their stops, and when the stops were completed, the top ten coming off pit road was Biffle,
Johnson, Kyle Busch, Hamlin, Earnhardt Jr., Gordon, Dave, Martin, Menard, and Truex. Biffle took two tires. Everyone else got four tires.
"Nice work, guys! We're still in the hunt!" said Dave with the stop, clearly pleased with the stop. "Sweet! It's all up to you now, Dave." said Tony Gibson. "I won't let
you guys down." said Dave. "Good luck, Dave." said Gibson. "Thanks." said Dave. Then with 32 laps to go, the green flag flew once again, and Biffle got a good jump
on Johnson and Kyle Busch going into turn 1. Busch and Johnson made contact in turn 2, allowing Johnson to get by and move into second. Biffle held off Johnson
and easily led the lap while Brittany tried to get back to the front. The leader of Chipettes almost made contact with Menard, and was also trying to hold off Menard's
teammate, Alvin. Behind them, Simon and Jeanette bumped on the backstretch.
"Contact between Simon and Jeanette! That's the first time that's happened this season!" said Allen Bestwick as Simon got past Jeanette while Johnson took the lead
from Biffle with 30 laps to go. Jeanette all of a sudden started dropping back quickly.
"Jimmy, I think I have a tire going down." said Jeanette over the radio. "Okay. Try to hold on for as long as you can." said Jimmy Fenning. One lap later, Bayne and
Logano made contact, which spun Logano and caused him to bounce off Labonte, up the track, and into Jeanette's path, which also unfortunately collected Jeanette.
"Trouble in turn 2, and oh no! Jeanette's involved! The points leader has wrecked! Caution is out!" said Allen Bestwick as the field slowed down again. "No, no, no,
no, no, NO! This can't be happening!" said Jeanette as she angrily threw the steering wheel towards the passenger-side of the car, got unbuckled, took off her
helmet, HANS device, and gloves, and climbed out of the car.
"Simon Seville, you are so sleeping on the couch tonight. No excuses." said Jeanette to herself as she viciously kicked the driver-side door of the car in anger and
frustration. The wreck, unfortunately, also cost Jeanette the points lead. As Simon drove by, Jeanette stuck her fist out at him, sending him a signal that she was not
happy. Then, as Logano and Labonte limped back to the pits, Jeanette reluctantly and angrily got into the ambulance for the mandatory trip to the infield care center.
"I can't believe it. I just can't believe it." said Jeanette to herself.
"Right now, as they run, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is currently the new points leader." said Allen Bestwick as Jeanette's damaged 5/3 Bank Ford Fusion racecar was towed
off the track and back to the pits. "I really feel bad for Jeanette. I really do. She's been so consistent all season, and then this wreck happens." said Dale Jarrett. "I
believe Dr. Jerry Punch is with Jeanette now. Doc?" said Andy Petree.
"That's right, Andy. I am with Jeanette now, who was checked and released from the infield care center. Jeanette, how are you and what happened?"asked Jerry.
"I'm really ticked off, and when this race is over, I'm so going to teach Simon a lesson. We made contact, which cut down my tire, and sent me back there. Simon, if
you're listening to this, I hope you think about what you just did. And Simon, you're so sleeping on the couch tonight!" said Jeanette. "Get some rest for Pocono,
Jeanette." said Jerry. Jeanette then stormed off to Simon's pit box.
"And while we're talking about Jeanette, let's see if we can talk to her boyfriend, Simon, before we go green. Simon Seville, this is Dale Jarrett up in the ESPN booth.
You copy?" asked Jarrett as Eleanor came to pit road for tires, fuel, and adjustments. "Yeah, Dale. I got you." said Simon over the radio. "Simon, you've been
working your way towards the front of the field, and you are right now in 13th. Can you get up to the lead and win this thing?" asked Jarrett. "We'll see what
happens. All I'm trying to do is get as many points as I can before the Chase starts. That's it." said Simon. "You and Jeanette made contact on the backstretch. Are
your tires okay?" asked Jarrett. "Yeah, they're fine. And I just want to tell Jeanette that I'm sorry and that I hope she's okay." said Simon. "Alright. We'll make sure
your girlfriend gets the message. Good luck." said Jarrett. "Thanks guys." said Simon. Steve Addington, however, saw Jeanette storming towards the pit box.
"Um, Simon? Jeanette's at our pit box." said Steve Addington. "What does she want? Put her on the radio. Let me talk to her." said Simon over the radio. "Okay.
Hang on a second." said Addington. Steve then gave Jeanette a radio.
"I hope you're happy, Simon Seville!" said Jeanette over the radio. "Jeanette, are you okay?" asked Simon. "Um, do I sound okay?" asked Jeanette. "Jeanette, I'm
sorry." said Jeanette. "No! This is totally unacceptable! You cut down MY tire, which sent ME towards mid-pack, and I got caught up in that wreck! You're sleeping on
the couch tonight, Simon Seville! NO EXCUSES!" said Jeanette. "But I…" started Simon. "I'll deal with you later." said Jeanette, clenching her teeth. She then shut the
radio off and stood near the pit wall as the green flag flew with 21 laps to go. Johnson immediately got a good jump on Biffle and Kyle Busch going into turn 1. As
Johnson held them off and easily led the lap, Alvin made a three-wide pass on Menard and Martin to move into 10th, with Brittany close behind!
"Nice move, Alvin." said Brittany. "You're not too bad yourself, Britt. See you at the finish line." said Alvin over the radio. "Oh, so you want to race that way, huh?"
asked Brittany. "As a matter of fact, I do. Bye-bye, Brittany!" said Alvin. "Oh, no you don't!" said Brittany. With 18 laps to go, Brittany got past Alvin for tenth.
"Ha! See ya!" said Brittany. With 15 laps to go, Dave was in fifth.
"I'm impressed, Dave. Very impressed." said Tony Gibson. "Thanks. Let's finish this." said Dave over the radio. Brittany had also gotten past Simon for ninth. With 14
laps to go, Theodore was in 14th.
"Nice recovery from your spin earlier, Theodore, well done. Well done." said Brian Pattie. "Thanks. Let's finish this." said Theodore. As Theodore went by the
scoreboard, he saw who was leading.
"GO JIMMIE JOHNSON, GO!" said Theodore. Jimmie chuckled to himself as he led the final laps. With 12 laps to go, Hamlin got past Dave for sixth. With 10 laps to
go, the top ten was Johnson, Kyle Busch, Biffle, Earnhardt Jr., Hamlin, Dave, Truex, Gordon, Brittany, and Simon. With 6 laps to go, Gordon got past Dave for sixth.
Five laps later, the white flag was in the air.
"White flag is in the air! One lap to go for Jimmie Johnson at the Brickyard!" said Allen Bestwick as the field took the white flag. "Come on, Jimmie. Come on,
Jimmie!" said Theodore to himself as Johnson raced down the backstretch for the final time. As Johnson came off turn 4, Eleanor passed Alvin for 12th. Then, the
checkered flag was in the air.
"Here comes Jimmie Johnson off turn 4, and for the fourth time in his career, Jimmie Johnson will win at Indianapolis!" said Allen Bestwick as the field took the
checkered flag. "Way to go, Jimmie! You did it!" said Theodore happily. "Thanks Theodore! Meet me on the frontstretch, because I've got a surprise for you." said
Johnson over the radio. "You got it, Jimmie." said Theodore. As Johnson did his burnout on the frontstretch, Simon parked on pit road, shut off the engine, got
unbuckled, climbed out of the car, and grabbed a cold Gatorade. Suddenly, he felt himself being pushed down. Jeanette was angry.
"You'd better watch your back, Simon, because if you cause me to wreck again, I'll put you in the wall! Do you understand? DO YOU?" asked Jeanette angrily.
"Jeanette, I'm sorry! I did not mean to do it!" said Simon as he backed away while Jeanette advanced towards him. "Don't you even think about trying to run,
because I will catch you and you're so going down when we race in Watkins Glen! And maybe this will teach you to mess with me." said Jeanette as she grabbed his
wrist and slapped his wrist lightly. "You can't hit your boyfriend like that. This is so not like you." said Simon as he rubbed his wrist. "I can do whatever I want. You're
still sleeping on the couch tonight. Thanks a lot, Simon." said Jeanette. She then shoved him backwards, and then she walked away. Theodore then met Johnson on
the frontstretch.
"Folks, this has been a great day, and my team and I have finished kissing the bricks, but I know that you guys are not leaving until you see me kiss the bricks with
one of my most loyal fans in all of NASCAR: Theodore Seville!" said Johnson. Theodore came walking towards the long line of bricks, and then Theodore and Johnson
kissed the bricks, with Alvin getting photos. Then, after Theodore and Johnson shared a hug, Dave and the six chipmunks got into the RV and headed home.

After a long drive, Dave and the six tired chipmunks were finally home. While Dave put Brittany's trophy from the Nationwide Series race in the trophy case in the
living room, the six chipmunks took turns taking a shower, brushing their teeth, and getting into their pajamas. Dave took his shower, brushed his teeth, and got into
his pajamas. Moments later, the six chipmunks were asleep in their bunk beds, except for Simon, who slept on the couch, reluctantly obeying Jeanette's orders.
"What have I done?" asked Simon to himself quietly. Dave turned out the lights and then went to bed himself. The six chipmunks slept comfortably, hoping for
another solid weekend in Pocono.
