"Its blood" Jackie said tears staring again. "Its the baby"

Clove sat in her bedroom finishing her homework. It was early Saturday night and she had nothing better to do that evening. Normally Saturday nights were when her and Cato went out, but that wasn't going to happen anymore. He had started the stage of not taking to her, a lot better than when he was pleading for her to listen to him. It had been two weeks since they broke up and Clove was still quiet upset. But not quiet upset as Jackie.

When Clove drove her to the hospital that day they found out she had lost the baby. Jackie had been six weeks into the pregnancy. She took it okay when the doctor gave her the news but Clove knew she was just about dying on the inside. As much as she didn't want to be pregnant she was quiet upset about losing the baby. She still hadn't told Thresh or her parents and now she never would.

Thresh would never know that he was supposed to be a dad.

But as depressing as Jackie life sounded, Clove's life was hitting an end as well. Doing her math homework on a Saturday night mean she really had hit rock bottom. Her mom had questioned what had happened between her and Cato and after getting the minimal answer she gave up asking questions. Which was good considering Clove wasn't going to give them up.

But things were about to change. It was the end of April meaning she only had two months left of school. Only two months left to deal with Cato and then she would be done. Done with this town, this city, this world. She was ready to leave it all behind.

"So how was your weekend?" Kat asked snapping Clove out of her daze. They sat at there lunch table surrounded by other students gabbing sitting at there lunch tables. Life at school had become pretty boring since she had broken up with Cato.

"Um what" she said her eyes scanning them until they laid on Kat's. "Fine nothing special"

"Did you go out at all?" Jackie asked.

"No. I didn't leave my bedroom" she said.

"Okay well this is getting ridiculous" Jackie said handing up in front of her face. "You haven't left your house in two weeks expect to go to school. You haven't even worked out since then"

"Well let me get fat I don't care" Clove protested as she took a bite of her sandwich that she had for lunch. "I'm just going though a tough time right now, with the breakup" she said said between bites. "Forgive me if I don't really want to leave the house, and haven't gone to workout. Where my ex- boyfriend goes. You would all be doing the same thing if it happened to you"

Clove knew she was right by the looks that spread across there faces. She hadn't meant to hurt their feeling's but she needed to get her point across.

"Were sorry" Kat said after a moment of silence. "We know this breakup has been hard on you, but we just want the best for you. Like all friends do"

"I understand that I do" Clove said as she tossed her sandwich in the garbage after only taking three bites out of it. "But you have to understand you can't lecture me about not leaving the house for two weeks or going to work out. I'm stressed enough with school right now, my grades are starting to slip and if they do my University could pull my application. I just have a lot riding on the line right now"

"It's okay" Glimmer said. "So did you get your acceptance letter from your school yet?"

"No" she said frowning. "I would ask Cato considering he applied to the same school but I'm not taking to him"

"I could ask" Kat suggested.

"No, no" Clove said putting her hands out. "Do not ask him. If one of you asks him he will know it will be for me. I do not want to do that"

"Okay whatever you say"

Clove waited for the bell to ring for the end of the day and when it finally did she ran out of the school like it was on fire. She waited for Kat to get out to the parking lot and then she finally was able to get home. When Kat dropped her off in her driveway Clove dragged her bag up into the house and then dumped it onto the hallway once she was inside. She headed strait to her room and stripped off her black high wasted skirt and blue blouse along with her black wedges. Leaving her in a red set of underwear.

She slipped on a pair of grey sweat pants and then rolled them to her knee. She slipped a black tank top over her body and threw her curly black hair into a messy bun on the top of her head. She headed back downstairs and went strait to the fridge.

Clove sat on the couch munching on a bag of chips. She had already gone though half the bag and drowned a can of ice tea with lemon. She was resulting her problems to food, and her waist line was going to be the victim.

Just as she finished off the last of the bag the doorbell rang. She stretched her head around the corner trying to see who it was but she couldn't. She wiped her mouth off on her arm before heading to the door. She unlocked the door and opened it up to see Cato standing on her porch.

Clove tried to slam the door shut up Cato stopped it with his foot in the doorway. "I just wanna talk" he said holding up the door a good two feet just so he could see her though it.

"But I don't want to talk to you" she said holding onto the door trying to shut it. But it was no use. He was way stronger and after a minute of fighting she left go and headed down her hallway with Cato following her from outside.

"I have something to say" he started with.

"Well I don't" she said before he continued not bothering to turn around to look at him as she just continued to walk around the house with him chasing her like a lost puppy dog.

"I just need to you listen" he said grabbing onto her arm and spinning her around to face him.

She shoved him away stepping back from his hands but she didn't turn around again. She kept a strait face and and looked at him. "What happened between me and Kate was not because I was cheating on you okay? I know you found out about the whole dating at the same school thing but its not what it looks like. When I kissed Kate at your party it was a goodbye kiss. When I left the school where she was it was a last minute thing. I knew about it that night and was on a plane the next morning. I never got to say goodbye to her. And with her showing up here I finally got to say it"

Clove had tears streaming down her face. She crossed her arms over to chest to act tough but really it was a chance to comfort herself. "If that's true then why did I hear that you broke up with her at the end of November ? We had been dating almost two months at that point"

"I know, I know" he said hands out in front of him. "I tried to break up with her the minute I got here but I could never get a hold of her. Her phone and phone number changed, she was never on any social media; November was the only time I got a hold of her after I left in September. Plus once you and me started dating I forgot all about her. I was never really dating her it was only in her mind that I still was"

"Is that why she's hear?" she questioned. "Because you broke up with her for me. She's after me isn't she?"

"I honestly don't know" he said taking a final step towards her so there chests pressed together. "All I know is that I just needed to say goodbye to her Clove. I don't love her or have any other feelings for her anymore. I only love you"

Clove didn't know wither to believe him or punch him for telling her a lie right to her face. "Are you lying to me?" she asked her eyebrows raised after her tears had stopped.

"No, I wouldn't lie to you" he said.

"But you lied to me about this" she said.

"That was not technically a lie, I just never told you" He said giving her his famous smirk from the day they met. "Do you believe me now?"

"I haven't decided yet" she said. Cato shrugged his shoulders leaving it at that but when it for a kiss. "Uh no not yet" she said. Pushing him back. "I'm still somewhat mad at you"

"Fine can I at least have a hug" he said opening his arms. Clove slowly nodded her head before coming into his arms. She sure had missed this feeling of him around her.

"Well I gotta get going" he said after a moment pulling back. "I gotta work" he said heading to the door Clove following him. "Oh one last thing" he said as she was one foot out the door. "Did you get your acceptance letter from the University of California yet?"

"No why?" she asked frowning. She knew he had applied to that school as well.

"Just wondering. I got mine last week" he said.

"You got in?" she asked surprised.

"Ya" he said as he was almost out the door. "I hope you get yours soon"

"Ya me too" she said closing the door behind him.

Clove sat in the living room finishing up the rest of her homework as her mom came home.

"Hi honey" she said dropping her bag and the mail on top of the table. "how was your day?"

"Good" she said looking up from her math. "I got a ninety two on my chem test and a eighty seven on my history assignment"

"Good job" her mom said going over to hug her. "By the way this came for you" Clove's mom handed her an envelope. It was from the University of California.

Clove quickly tore it open letting the cover fall to the ground as she quickly scanned over the letter. She had been accepted to the University and she was going with Cato.

Soooo what did you guys think?

I tried to add more real life drama than all the romance stuff as a lot of that doesn't normally happen.

Not sure how the next chapter is going to go as I am kind of at a stand still but I will have to see :|

but anyways remember to REVIEWWWWWW!
