"Okay, so we have a case in town." Dean said as he typed on a computer.
"Ok. What is it?" Sam asked.
Dean showed us his computer screen, "The Morton house. People say that it's haunted only one night every four years. Tonight."
"February 29th?" I asked.
"Yep, some call it the Leap Year ghost." Dean replied. "It's like out Grand Canyon."
"Maybe we shouldn't." Sam said.
"Come on Sammy. It's my dying wish." Dan responded.
"Fine." Sam gave in.
"All right. Let's pack up and tonight we will head over there." Dean said, standing up from the table and throwing his food away.
We headed toward the Impala and got a motel room. Sam did more research and printed out some missing person's reports from February 29th over the years. When it was dark, we drove toward the Morton House. It was about eleven when we got there. We got in slowly and quietly and we walked into one room. There were computers and tech stuff everywhere.
"What do you think? Ghost hunters?" I asked.
"Most likely." Dean said looking at a computer with camera screens on there.
"Come on let's get these geeks out of here before someone gets hurt." Dean said before we started walking down a hallway.
We saw two people in a room when Dean called out, "Freeze don't move!"
"All right, all right, all right." One guys kept saying.
'Let's see some identification." Sam said.
"Come on. Let's see some I.D" Dean said.
"Are- are we under arrest?" One of the guys asked, handing Dean his I.D.
"Want to explain the weirdo outfit, Mr. Corbett?" Dean asked.
"Woah, I know you." The other guy said.
"Yeah Sure you do. Let me see some I.D." Dean said to the other one.
"Ho-hold on a second. I know the both of you. Yeah." He said.
"Holy shit." Sam blurted out.
"What? I asked.
"Uh- west Texas, before Ally came along, the-the tulpa we had t take out, those two goofballs who almost got us killed. The hellhounds or something." Sam replied.
"Fuck me." Dean said.
"Yeah, well, we're not hellhounds anymore. It didn't test that well." The guy said.
"Ed, what's going on?" Corbett asked.
"They're not cops buddy, not at all." Ed said.
"Ed, Ed, Ed. You had a partner, too. Didn't you have a different guy? Is he around here?" Dean asked.
"Oh yeah. He's around here chasing ghosts." Ed answered.
"Yeah, well, listen, you and Rambo need to get your girlfriends and get out of here." Dean said.
"Alright. Listen here chisel chest, we were here first. We already set u base camp. We beat you." Ed said.
"They were here first." Dean said to us before pinning Ed to a wall.
"Ed."
"Yeah?"
"Where's your partner?" Dean asked.
"Follow me." Ed said as we left the room at to base camp.
"What are you doing at the Morton House, Ed? And on leap year?" Dean asked.
"We're here to spend the night. For our tv show." Ed answered.
"What? Great. Perfect." Sam commented.
"Yeah. nobody has ever spent the night before." Corbett said.
"Uh, yeah they have." Dean said.
"Well, we never heard of them." Ed replied.
"You know why? Because they didn't live to talk about it!' Dean exclaimed.
"We don't belive you." Ed responded.
"Oh really? Missing person's reports going back a half a century. John Graham stayed on a dare, gone. Julie Wikerson, gone. There are tons more." Sam said showing Ed the papers. "People have been staying through the night and gone missing. Only body found was the last owner, Freeman Daggett."
"Wow, these look legit." Ed commented.
"They are legit." Sam said. "Look, Ed. We don't have much time here, buddy. Starting at midnight, your friends are going to die."
Then we heard a guys yelling and run downstairs. They started yelling about seeing a ghost before they stopped and looked at us.
"Hey, aren't those the fuckers from Texas?" One guy asked.
"Yes." Ed answered.
"Alright, let's have this reunion across the street guys." Dean said.
"Crap, what are you guys doing here?" The guys asked.
"Com on, come on. We'll get you ice cream, our treat." Dean said.
"No, Ed, Ed,Ed, look at this. Honest to god proof." A girl said typing on the computer.
While they were talking about it we went to talk alone.
"Think we were off on this? That was just a death echo." Sam said.
"Yeah, but what is it doing here? Was someone shot here?" Dean asked.
"Not that I could find." Sam replied.
"What's a death echo." Another guy asked.
"Look, we have a problem here and that ghost ain't it." Sam answered.
"What's a death echo?" He asked again.
"Echos are trapped in a loop, okay? They keep replaying how they died over and over and over again usually in the place they were ganked. It's about as harmless as a scary movie." Dean answered.
"Maybe the echos aren't dangerous but something else is." I said.
"You're right. All right, we need to get out of here guys. Come on, let's go, let's go, let's go. Pack it up." Dean said.
We all started talking and yelling.
"Wait!" I yelled. "Where's Corbett?"
Then we heard him scream from upstairs.
They all started yelling his name and running upstairs.
"Fuck." Sam said.
We followed them upstairs and quieted them down as we kept hearing his screams for help. Once the screams we quiet we pushed them toward the stairs as they were protesting. We calmed them down and got them to their 'eagle's nest' as we tried to open the front door.
"It's 12:04 Dean. Are you happy?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, I am happy." Dean said sarcastically.
"Let's go hunt the Morton House' you said, 'It's like our grand canyon.' Sam said.
"Sam, I don't want to hear this." Dean responded.
"You have around two months left, Dean. Instead, we're gonna die tonight." Sam said as he picked up a chair and threw it against the door.
"What's going on here guys?" Spruce asked.
"I'll tell you what's going on. Every door, every window, I'm guessing every exit out of this house they're sealed." Sam answered angrily.
"Why are they sealed?" Maggie asked.
"It's a supernatural lockdown okay?" Dean replied. "Whatever took Corbett doesn't want us to leave, and it's no echo. It's a bad mother and it wants us scared."
"Or it just wants us?" Maggie asked.
"Woah, guys, the camera's frizzing again." Spruce said.
"The EMF is spiking." Harry said.
"Okay, guys, stay close." Sam said as he pulled me into his chest and wrapped an arm around me.
Then a guy in a dirty coat appeared in front of us.
"Is this the same guy you saw earlier?" Dean asked.
"No, it was a different guy." They said.
"Multiple echos? What the hell is going on?" Dean asked.
"Beats me." Sam answered.
"All right." Dean said before walking toward it. "Hey! Buddy! You're dead! Hello!"
"What's he doing?" Harry asked.
"It's rare, but sometimes you can shock an echo out of it's loop if you can talk to the part of the ghost that's still human." I answered.
"But usually you have to have a connection with the deceased." Sam said.
Then the guy turned to us and we heard a whistle.
"You guys hear that? What's that sound?" Ed asked.
"A train." I said before a light shined on the guy and he flew away.
"Where the hell did it go?" Harry asked.
"There aren't any records of this here. No one got shot and no one got run over by a freaking train." Dean said as we walked upstairs.
"Did the echos take Corbett?" Maggie asked from behind us.
"Yes. No. I don't know." Dean answered. "We don't know what's doing what here and that's what we're trying to figure out."
"Look, ghosts usually haunt the place where they died-" Sam started.
"But there guys didn't live or die here." Dean finished.
"So what are they doing here?" Maggie asked.
"Hey, give the lady a cigar." Dean said turning to her."Okay, seriously, does looking at this nightmare through that camera make you feel better or something?"
"Yes." She answered.
We walked into this room that was filled with papers and files.
"Freeman Daggett. Served 20 years at Gamble General Hospital." Sam said holding up a certificate.
"He's a doctor?" Dean asked.
"Janitor." Sam corrected.
"This place looks like his den. When did you say he died? '64?" Dean said.
"Yeah. Heart attack." Sam replied.
We looked around until Ed blurted out, "Look guys, how is this suppose to help find Corbett?"
"Hello lock." Dean said as he banged on it.
He broke it open and looked inside. He took out a box and opened it and went through the papers inside.
"Crap, crap, crap. Taxidermy. You said Daggett was a hospital janitor right?" Dean said.
"Ew. We have three toe tags here. On death by gunshots, train accident, and suicide." Dean said.
"Ew." Sam and I said at the same time.
"What?" Ed asked.
"Well, that explains why the death echos are here." Sam said.
"They're here because their bodies are here." I said because they were still confused.
"He brought the bodies home to play." Dean said.
Then there were a series of ew's in the room.
"Wait a minute." Dean said looking up and leaving the room.
Dean brought Maggie back int the room just as Harry said there was an EMF past 11.
"Nobody move." Dean ordered.
"It's really cold in here." Spruce said.
"Sam?" I asked.
I looked to where he was last and there was nothing there but the flashlight he was holding.
"Sammy!" Dean yelled.
We walked into each room calling for Corbett and Sam. Dean and I were in one room when we heard yelling.
"Hey! Hey Hey!" Dean yelled as he broke up the fight between Ed and Harry.
"What the fuck are you doing? Cut it out! We're down by two people!" Dean yelled before leaving the room and searching for Sam.
"Come on guys." I said as I followed him.
We started to walk back into the room where his files were. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and I leaned against a piece of wood.
"Ally, are you okay? Dean asked.
"Yeah, just a stomach ache." I said before standing up right.
"All right let's go." He said as he walked into the room.
"What are we looking for!" Dean yelled as I got in there.
"He was scared. He was scared." Dean said.
"Scared of what? Dean where are you going?" Harry asked.
We followed Dean downstairs where I felt another pain in my stomach.
"I bet he has a bomb shelter. And I bet it's in the basement." Dean said before he turned around and looked at me.
I let out a whimper and sat down on the last step on the stairs.
"Ally, what's going on?" Dean asked as he crouched in front of me and put a hand on my knee.
I held my stomach as another jolt of pain came. And I felt liquid soak my pants.
"M-My water broke. I-I-I-I think I-I'm in l-l-labor." I stuttered.
Dean's eyes widened, "Like have a baby labor?"
I nodded before I said in latin, "Fateor." Which showed my swollen stomach.
"Since when?"
"When you went to go find the djinn." I answered.
"And it's Sam's?"
"Who's else would it be!" I yelled as another came.
"Alright, okay." Dean said as he stood up and grabbed a container of salt from his bag. He made a circle and put me inside it.
"Um, I work part time at the hospital." Maggie blurted out.
"Have you delivered a baby before?" Dean asked.
"Yeah, a few times." Maggie replied.
"Great. You guys stay in that circle." Dean said before he went down the stairs and into the basement.
But not before Spruce followed him and the door slammed shut.
"Dean!" I called out.
"You guys, whatever you do, stay in the circle!" He said before we heard him go down the steps.
Maggie held my hand and she told me to take deep breaths.
"Guys! EMF's spiking." Ed yelled.
We heard whimpering and looked over to see a blood covered Corbett.
"Ed." Harry said.
"Yeah?"
"Corbett's a-a death echo, he's reliving his murder." Harry said.
"Over and over, forever." Maggie said.
"Unless, Ed. You guys know him. You need to try to pull him out of the loop." I said after the pain was gone.
"Corbett." Ed said as he cross the salt line and walked up to Corbett's death echo.
When the echo started flashing Ed ran back into the circle.
"I can't he's not hearing me." Ed said.
"I know how we can get him to listen." Harry said.
"How?" Ed asked.
"Ed, he had feelings for you." Harry replied.
"Huh?"
"He wanted you." Harry told Ed.
"Wanted me to do what?" Ed questioned.
"For god's sake, he loved you Ed! Sexually." I said.
"You're they only one who can do it." Harry said. "You have to go be gay for that poor dead intern. You got to send him into the light."
Ed slowly walked over to Corbett.
"Corbett, you-you meant a lot to the team... you meant a lot to me. You never back down, never say a bad word. I remember that Corbett. I-I remember that.I remember that because I love you." Ed continued, "I truly love you."
"Ed?" Corbett asked.
"Yeah. Corbett, you need to help us. PLease, you need to help us." Ed said.
I saw Corbett nod before disappearing.
"Ed, back in the circle." I said.
Ed ran back over to us.
"Good job." I said before I screamed from the pain.
"It's okay, breathe." Maggie sai das she squeezed my hand.
I looked over when the basement door opened and Sam ran over to me.
"You okay?" He asked as he held my other hand.
"Not really. I just went into labor inside an extremely haunted house." I said.
"Alright we're gonna get out of here." Sam said as he picked me up.
Dean kicked the door open and he went out first, then Ed, then Sam and I then the others. Sam walked over to the Imapla and placed me in the back seat.
"Dean's gonna talk to them for a few minutes. Then we'll go to the hospital." Sam said as he sat next to me.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked after a moment in silence.
"I was scared that you would leave me in a small town in the middle of nowhere with a baby boy growing inside me." I said as I winced in pain.
"It's a boy?" Sam asked with a smile.
I nodded.
"Did you really think I would do that?" He asked.
"I didn't want to take the risk." I said before Dean got into the car.
"Alright, let's get you to the hospital." Dean said as he started the car.
Once we got there, nurses put me in a wheel chair and pushed me down the hallway with Sam and Dean behind them. They waited outside as they change me into a hospital gown. Once the doctor came in they let Sam in.
"You aren't fully dilated yet. It might take a while." The doctor said.
"How long is a while?" I asked.
"It could take about twelve hours. Maybe more." He replied.
"Crap." I said as I leaned my head against the headboard of the bed.
"I'll be right back." Sam said before kissing my forehead and leaving the room.
A few minutes later Sam came back in and sat next to me.
"I told Dean to go buy a pair of baby clothes and diapers." am said as he held my hand.
"Good. Because I left his clothes at Ellen's." I said as I squeezed his hand.
"Is that what you guys did? Buy baby clothes?" Sam asked.
I smiled, "And other baby necessities. Plus we went to the shooting range."
A few hours later of pain Dean came back showing up with a bag of my clothes, the baby's clothes and diapers. He showed me the outfit he picked out. It was a grey one-piece that said 'I just spent 9 months in the batcave', and he bought a few other funny ones like, 'Id' rather be with my uncle', and 'If you think I'm a stud, you should see my uncle.'
Sam and I laughed, "I love it, Dean."
I hugged him and he sat down by the window and told us he was late because the Ghostfacers wanted him to see the first episode.
"It wasn't bad. But I just don't think the world is ready for the ghostfacers." He said.
"So you put an electromagnet in your bag and left it there?" I asked.
"Yep. Wiped of any evidence of the video on their hard drive." He replied.
Sam stood up and stretched. "I'm in need of a large coffee. Dean, can you come with?"
"Sure." Dean said before they left the room.
After they left I sat there in silence until a felt a huge pain. I screamed and pressed the button for the nurses. They rushed in with the doctor.
"You're fully dilated. Get ready to push." He said.
"Wait, what about Sam?" I asked.
"Nurse, can you grab the father?" He asked.
She nodded before leaving.
"Okay, 1,2,3, push."
I pushed as hard as I could as Sam and Dean rushed in.
Sam came to my side and held my hand as Dean passed out.
"Push!"
And I pushed.
"Push!"
And pushed.
"Push!"
And pushed.
"I see the head. Keep pushing."
And pushed.
Pushed.
Pushed.
And pushed until finally, hours later, a baby boy came out crying. I sighed as a nurse cleaned him up and wrapped him in a blanket and let me hold him. The doctors left the room after putting Dean in a chair.
"So, what are we gonna name him?" Sam asked.
"Since I didn't tell you, I'll let you name him." I said smiling at my baby.
"Wow, okay." He smiled. "I have one in mind."
"What is it?"
"Jason. Jason Winchester." Sam replied.
I laughed. "Jason... Dean.. Winchester."
Sam kissed my forehead and played with Jason's hand.
"Jason Dean Winchester." He said.
"Excuse me. I need to weight the baby, and we need one of you to fill out the birth certificate." A nurse said.
"I'll take care of it. You rest." Sam said kissing me and taking Jason and giving it to the nurse.
He left the room to fill out the papers and I as left with a unconscious Dean.
"What did I miss." He asked as he jolted awake.
"The birth of your nephew." I answered as he stood up.
"Son of a bitch. So, is he as adorable as his uncle?" Dean asked.
"No, he even more adorable." I replied before the nurse came back in with Jason.
"I didn't think that was possible." He said.
"Here you go." She said giving him to me.
I smiled, "Thanks."
She left the room and Dean walked over.
"What's his name?"
"Jason Dean Winchester." I responded .
"Can I hold him?" He asked.
I nodded and I watched as Dean held Jason.
"Hey, Jason. Welcome to our weird, messed up family." Dean said.
Then Sam walked in holding a piece of paper.
"Hey, I need you to sign this." Sam said walking over to me, "It's his birth certificate."
"Alright." I answered.
I signed my name and looked at the information. Born on March 1st, 2007. 6 pounds and 3 ounces, 20 inches.
I smile and gave Sam the paper and pen.
"Alright. So how is this supposed to work out? I mean you have a kid now..." Dean started.
"I'm still gonna hunt. Not right now obviously, but I still want to." I replied.
"I'm gonna stay with you Dean. Ally, you're gonna stay with us." Sam said.
"No, Sam. It isn't safe. I'll be fine as long as you visit." I responded.
"Alright. first, we'll move Ally and Jason into a house. Then we'll go back on the road." Sam said.
"No. Dean only has two months. You guys will go hunt and maybe I could live with Ellen. She's been living alone since Jo went on the road hunting." I replied.
Sam sighed. "Okay. But the doctor told me that you need to stay in the hospital for another two days."
"Great." I said. "Can someone get food, I'm starving."
"Sure I'll get some food." Dean said handing Jason to Sam and leaving.
"We might need to call Bobby and Ellen." I said.
"Why?" Sam asked.
"Well, Ellen wanted to be the godmother, and I want Bobby to be the godfather." I answered.
Sam smiled, "Alright, here's my phone."
Sam gave me his phone and I called Ellen first.
"Hello?"
"Ellen, it's me. Ally."
"Oh, Ally. How's the pregnancy going?"
"Well, that's why I called you. I had the baby."
"And you didn't tell me?"
"Well I just had him Ellen."
"Alright. Where are you?"
"Gamble General Hospital in Nebraska."
"I'm on my way."
"Can you call Bobby and tell him to come, too?"
"Sure thing, after I call Jo."
"Thanks Ellen."
"Sure thing, hon."
I hung up and gave the phone back to Sam just before Dean walked in.
"Since hospital food sucks, I got us food from a diner down the street. Salad for you," He said handing it to Sam, "Burger for you," He said handing it to me, "And burger for me."
