Now I'm not sure about the rest of you but I've been waiting a very long time for this chapter, I've tried to do this before but it didn't work out how I wanted so I've been putting it off up until now. Fidelis is finally gonna have the fun he's been waiting for. Enjoy.
"Our fight is in five minutes, where is he?!" Kain demanded pacing back and forth in the locker room.
Jin sat on a bench watching the current fight between two foreign schools and Clef was leaning against a set of lockers surprisingly not holding a guitar but instead texting with Winter. "The boss would never miss a fight like this, he'll be here soon." Just as he said this the door was kicked open and Fidelis entered wearing his full Nobody outfit. "See." Clef pointed before going back to his scroll.
"Where have you been?" Kain asked walking up to him looking suspicious of him.
"I was just talking to a friend of mine about stuff, don't worry about it. What you should be worrying about are our opponents, I set this match up specifically." Fidelis grabbed Kain by the collar and started dragging him out the door. "Come on, it'll be fun."
In the ring
"Welcome back everybody, and to those of you just joining us we are about to begin another exciting match for you!" Oobleck spoke into the mic at impressive speeds. "This match should prove to be particularly exciting as it is between one of Beacons top teams and the surprisingly popular dark horse of the tournament. Lets welcome to the ring team Nobody!"
Fidelis and Kain walked out into the ring, Fidelis waving to everyone cheering. Oobleck was correct in saying that they were surprisingly popular, apparently people liked a group of total unknowns, who may or may not be linked to a notorious crime group, taking on those who are meant to be the best and brightest of the four kingdoms and winning. Kain was somewhat uncomfortable with the attention but Fidelis was loving every second, which was odd for a guy who wears a mask constantly to hide his face.
"So who are we going up against?" Kain asked as he looked over his weapons, he was determined not to give as shameful of a performance as last time.
"Oh you'll see." Fidelis replied as his grin grew ten times more feral looking, Kain couldn't see behind his shades but he could tell there was bloodlust in his eyes.
"And from Beacon Academy, one of the last remaining members of the Alto family, Nick Alto!" Kain's eyes widened when he figured out who the second person would be. "And his team mate, one of the most brutal fighters I've ever had the pleasure of teach, Rideat Dente!" Port announced and the two walked out into the ring, Fidelis's face was at risk of splitting in face if his smile got any bigger, and surprisingly Rideat's own smile was almost as wide.
In the stands
Team RWBY sat in there seat watching as the teams were announced, when Rideat's name was called Blake choked on the drink she was drinking. "Oh no." She said as she recovered from choking.
"Whats wrong?" Yang asked her handing a napkin to her.
Blake wiped her mouth with the napkin. "Fidelis and Rideat are going to fight, that means this is gonna get savage. Those two never pull their punches against each other." She explained knowing this from experience, she'd seen the two take a simple sparring match and end up destroying several buildings before Adam and several other people were able to break them up.
"So your saying this should be good!" Yang shouted getting pumped.
Blake sighed. "I hope no kids are watching."
Back in the ring
"Kain, I doubt I need to tell you this but just to be safe I will anyway. This goes for you to headphones!" Fidelis shouted towards Nick who removed his headphones and shifted them into their combat forms. "If either one of you get in the way of mine and Rideat's fight, I will personally send you across the river sticks." Fidelis then pulled out his scroll as the environments were selected, half was high grass and the other half was just a large pool of water.
"3,2,1, BEGIN!" Nick and Kain both nodded to each other and ran into the high grass.
Rideat and Fidelis remained in the center as Fidelis fiddled with his scroll. "So bro, any preference on music?" Fidelis asked Rideat who chuckled.
"Make it something worth fighting to."
"Infinity by Stradivarius it is!" He said as he clicked play and the stadium speakers began blasting his chosen song. "Now lets make some history." He drew his gunbai from his back and pointed it at Rideat as Rideat readied his metal arm by shifting dust vials in the wrist.
"It would seem that we are having difficulties with the stadium speakers, we shall fix that as soon as possible." Fidelis and Rideat remained in the center unmoving for several seconds before Fidelis made the first move.
Using his wind Fidelis dashed forward covering the gap between the two instantly though Rideat expected this. Fidelis Swung his fan at his brothers side but Rideat leaned back just out of reach before kicking his leg upwards towards Fidelis's chin making contact with his aura. Flipping backwards Rideat landed and brought his metal arm up blocking the attack he knew was coming. The edge of Fidelis's fan slammed into the arm hard enough to throw Rideat out of his defensive stance long enough for Fidelis to slip in and clamp his free hand around Rideat's throat lifting him off of his feet and bringing him back down into the ground head first.
Fidelis stood straight up and raised his leg to stomp down on his brothers face but was surprised when he felt Rideat's legs ensnare his right leg and pull him to the ground himself as Rideat got back to his feet and placed his metal hand on the back of Fidelis's head which was now against the ground. "Start taking this more seriously!" Rideat shouted as the red dust in his metal palm activated and exploded point blank against Fidelis's head, creating a massive crater in the middle of the ring.
Fidelis laughed from his position on the ground before forcing himself to his feet by causing a quick surge of aura around him that pushed Rideat away. After steadying himself he removed his hat, glasses, and bandanna which were all ruined by the blast. After taking a second to run his hand through his hair he looked around at the crowd, many of the women were now cheering at his rather handsome appearance, though most of them were faunus.
"And the leader of team Nobody has taken a direct blow from Rideat deadly prosthetic arm." Port exclaimed into the mic.
"Yes, however it seems that the attack did not do as much damage as he had probably hoped. I've witnessed a blast like that from his arm, when detonated at close range, take out nearly all of an opponents aura at once. The leader of team Nobody however was only taken down by a mere twenty percent." Oobleck explained.
"Actually according to our readings the young man in question has an astounding amount of aura. Our sensors are registering him at about five times the average amount for a person of his apparent age. Truly fascinating Bart."
Fidelis quickly gave his neck a quick crack before readying himself for the next attack. "Alright, enough warming up." Fidelis charged forward again and swung his fan towards the side of Rideat's head who leaned back dodging the the attack but was taken by surprise by the huge gust of wind that followed the swing and knocked him off balance. Fidelis capitalized on this by going in for a second strike this time making contact with a devastating blow directly to Rideats gut causing him to bend over as spit shot out of his mouth. Before he could recover Fidelis slammed elbow down in between his shoulder blades sending him down to one knee before he finished the assault with a wind and aura infused kick to the side of the head that sent Rideat sliding across the arena floor and into the large pool of water. "Is this serious enough for you little bro!? Come on, there is no way in hell I'm letting this end yet, THIS IS JUST FUCKING STARTING!"
With Kain
Kain laid low within the tall grass holding his weapons at the ready as he listened for the slightest shift in the grass. He had to be careful if wanted to have even the slightest chance of winning this, he wasn't and idiot, he was well aware of how outclassed he was. A third year Signal student had little to no chance against a second year Beacon student.
If Kain was honest with himself then he'd admit that his real goal was just to get this guy low enough for Fidelis to take him out after he himself was knockout of the match.
All of a sudden there was a bone shaking boom that went off near him that made him jump from his spot and reveal himself. "There you are." He heard from several feet away causing him to turn and open fire in the direction of the voice. Nick threw both of his yoyos into the air and they went flying towards where Kain was standing, though Kain was able to dodge at the last second before getting hit by the shock wave. Nick on the other hand just decided to tank the damage he received from the shots Kain fired. "Come on kid, this is to far above you. Give up, I hate the dingo not you so if I don't have to I'd rather not beat a kid senseless." Nick called out.
Kain grit his teeth before he charged through the grass, almost invisible within it, and jumped out in front of Nick before surprising the Alto by grabbing him by the arms and wrapping his legs around his waist, effectively latching himself onto Nick.
Nick was expecting an attack of some kind to follow but it never came. "It would appear that the younger of the two Nobody's has taken to hugging Nick Alto." Port analyzed. Nick just stood there not really sure what to think about this situation until Oobleck chimed in.
"What is this?! It would seem that there is more to this than would first appear! If you look to the aura boards you'll see the Nick's aura is steadily dropping while the young Nobody's is rising, he appears to be leeching aura from Mr. Alto!" Nick's eyes widen at this and he began trying to pry Kain away from him.
"Get off of me you little shit!" He shouted as he continued to try and remove the boy from his person but it was useless, Kain has a strong hold on him, even his long tail was wrapped around Nicks leg. "Fine, then tag!" he shouted before placing a hand on Kain's back where a small mark appeared and soon Nick's two yoyos came flying towards the two before letting out a powerful sonic boom upon impact.
Back to Fidelis
Fidelis stood at the edge of the water as Rideat surfaced and tried to climb out but was stopped by Fidelis planting his foot on Rideat's normal hand. Rideat yelped before grabbing with his metal arm Fidelis's leg and pulling him down into the water with him. Instantly after entering the water Fidelis began flailing in panic which Rideat took advantage of by pulling him deeper and grabbing his baton off his waist and started beating Fidelis with it.
Fidelis barely even noticed that he was being hit by something as he tried to get to the surface with all of his strength but couldn't with Rideat on his leg. Sense it was Rideat's metal arm he knew that there was very little chance of him prying it off his leg. Fidelis didn't have many choice left to him here but if he didn't do something he was going to pass out from lack of oxygen. Even if he were able to get Rideat to let go he still couldn't swim.
Fidelis reached into his jacket and grabbed his last resort, if he couldn't get to the air then he would bring the air to him. Rideat immediately knew what Fidelis had grabbed out of his and instantly let go before darting for the surface and climbing onto dry land leaving Fidelis in the water.
"Theres no mistake, he's using his key." Rideat panted as he Nick walked up behind him panting as well, judging by the look of his aura Rideat would guess that Nick was around thirty percent while using his semblance he could see Kain off in the grass unconscious. Rideat himself was at around sixty percent. "Get ready Nick, this is about to get really ugly."
Right after he said this the water exploded upwards in a massive geyser before Fidelis himself burst out of the huge torrent of water that soon came crashing back down flooding most of the arena for several seconds before being drained away. Fidelis silently stood up from where he landed on his knees taking heavy breaths and getting into a fighting stance, his gunbai gone. He didn't have his cord on the gunbai he choose to use during the tournament and instead to use one of his spares that looked different, this way he'd be slightly less noticeable.
"Fuck water." He said sounding tired.
Fidelis cocked his arm back. "NICK RUN!" Rideat shouted but was to late. In a burst of incredible speed Fidelis lunged from his previous position and stopped just in front of Nick who was to stunned to react in time. Fidelis unleashed a punch with a massive amount of aura behind it but stopped it just before it hit Nick's face, a massive wall of air then slammed into Nick that not only hit hard enough to deplete his remaining aura but also send him flying through the air until his body slammed into the barrier protecting the audience and finally falling to the ground outside the arena.
Rideat had already jumped back at this point and gotten into a defensive position but Fidelis didn't attack, instead he fell to his knees and coughed up a mouthful of blood onto the arena floor. Fidelis took a moment to stand up before raising his key back to his chest and quickly sticking it in through the skin before turning it, after he turned it his aura calmed down significantly leaving him struggling to stay on his feet.
Fidelis slowing walked towards Rideat and stopped a few feet away from him. "Hey Riddy." He said sounding exhausted and having a small amount of blood still streaming down his mouth.
"What?" Rideat answered.
"Why don't we finish this the dad taught us?" He said holding out his left arm, Rideat was silent for a few seconds before nodding and stepping forward grabbing Fidelis's arm with his metal arm, both gripped the other by the elbow.
"A showdown?" Rideat said more as a statement than a question.
"A showdown." Fidelis confirmed.
Rideat took the first punch with his free hand, followed by Fidelis.
In the stands
"What are they doing?" Ruby asked wincing ever time one of the nailed the other in the face with their fist.
Blake was quiet for a moment as she watched the fight. "It's an old contest of strength that Rideat and Fidelis learned from their father. A long time ago in Vacuo there was a custom that if you had a issue with another person that couldn't be solved with words then it would instead be solved with a 'Showdown' where the two people took hold of each others arm like their doing now and they continue to beat each other until one either submits or is knocked unconscious." Blake explained having seen the two do this before when they were younger.
"How barbaric." Weiss scoffed as she pulled out her scroll and began browsing the web.
"How awesome!" Yang shouted as she had her eyes glued to the scene.
Ruby was less enthused over the match then her sister and was more worried about her boyfriend who was still unconscious in the arena. Ruby looked back at the two fighters before looking away again as the continued to beat on each other mercilessly, and what made the scene even more disturbing was the fact that both were smiling like they were having the time of their lives. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder and she looked over and saw Blake.
"It's okay, I know it's brutal. You don't have to watch." She reassured her leader who nodded sadly and pulled her hood down over her face and covered her ears.
Back in the ring
"This has got to be the most savage and tense battles I've ever witnessed in all my days as a huntsmen! These two young men have cast aside their weapons and abilities and have settled for merely using their fists to fight. This will truly go down in the record book." Port exclaimed as he continued to watch the endless exchange of punches.
"I agree Port, these two certainly are giving it their all, however I believe this fight is nearing its conclusion." Oobleck added.
Fidelis took another punch to the face from Rideat and spat out some blood before returning with his own punch. "This is it little bro, GOOD NIGHT!" He shouted putting all his remaining aura into his punch and nailed Rideat directly in the temple sending him to the floor. He heard a buzzer signaling that Rideat's aura had fallen into the red.
Fidelis looked up at the score board and then at the crowd where everyone was cheering though he couldn't hear any of it. Everything was muffle as he took in all the pain that was wracking his body, every one of his muscles felt like they were on fire after he unlocked his aura, the punch that sent the Alto flying had torn several muscles in his left shoulder, and he was pretty certain he had several concussions.
However, even with all the pain he was experiencing, he couldn't help but smile. "That was one hell of a match." He muttered to himself just before everything went black and he collapsed to the ground.
Finally! You people have no clue how long I've wanted to pit these to up against each other. I would have finished this sooner but I wasn't going to post anything until they had fixed the bug with the reviews. Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this because I'm pretty sure it's the longest fight I've ever written. Leave a review and tell me what you all think, also stay tuned, I can guarantee you all that I have some serious shit in mind that is still to come. Also I know I've practically begged you guys for this for about a month but still, it would mean the world to me if you guys would go check out my multi-crossover called 'The Outcasts' and leave a comment if you like it. LATER.
