Here it is, the second visit to the world of One Piece. For the sake of the story, I made my own twist on how Robin joins the Strawhat Pirates, among other things. Anyways, read and enjoy!
(I do not own Kingdom Hearts or Sword Art Online. All I do is form my imagination from both stories, and share it with the world!)
Chapter 1: The New Member of Team Keybladers?
The Gummi Ship was making its' way to the next world, which was the Straw Hat Pirates' world. However, Everyone was still thinking about what happened in the last world, and everything they learned about their enemy and themselves. Asuna was staring out the window, looking into the endless space.
"You doing okay, mama?" Yui asked, "You haven't talked for a while." "I'm doing fine." Asuna replied, "Just wondering." "It was pretty shocking to hear." Kirito stated, "I mean, my sister is the descendent of one of the protectors who created the Keys of Darkness, I hold a piece of Terra's Soul inside of me, and Asuna has Aqua for a sister." "And that Sugou feller's Heartless is the one responsible for the Heartless and Unversed here." Goofy pointed out.
"Hey, I was wondering about something." Sora said to Asuna, "You said you fought her in your heart at one point. What did she look like?" "Well, she was mainly dressed in armor." Asuna remembered, "But I could tell she was tall and slender. When I cracked her helmet off, I did see her face. She was very pretty." "Like you, mama?" Yui asked. Asuna nodded in response, and she blushed a bit. Even Kirito started to get curious about what Aqua looked like.
"We've arrived!" Donald told the crew, and they looked down. The pirate world where Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates were at was beneath them, and the central point was Alabasta Kingdom. "Alabasta." Sora named the country. "I wonder how Luffy and the other fellers are doin' down there?" Goofy asked. "Well, we won't know by standing around up here." Kirito stated, "Yui, set the coordinates for Alubarna. That's where we last saw them." Yui tapped in the coordinates as the rest of the crew readied themselves on the transporter. She climbed aboard, and the team descended.
They arrived down at one of the vacant streets of Alubarna. It was early morning. The sun had barely started to rise. Most of the buildings seemed to be in repairs after the destructive war that was here before. "Look! We're back in our desert attire." Yui stated, seeing that she was wearing the desert robe and sandals she wore before. Everyone else was wearing their desert attire as well.
"It looks like the capital is in repair." Kirito stated, seeing the buildings, "All these buildings must've taken heavy damage from the civil war." "I wonder where Luffy and the others are at?" Sora asked, "We should search for them. They're our best chance at finding that next Keyhole of Bond."
The team nodded in agreement, and were about to move out when a bunch of Heartless surrounded them. "Why does this always happen to us?" Donald moaned as the team pulled out their weapons and charged at the onslaught. It was composed of the local Heartless that they dealt with before, such as Luna Bandits and Fat Bandits, but now there were Silver Rocks, Neoshadows and Fire Plants as well. And no matter how many they took down, they just kept coming.
"Move out of the way!" Sora shouted to the group of Luna Bandits and Fire Plants that remained. "Just how many are there?" Yui moaned. "Look out!" Goofy cried, seeing them ready to attack. Just then, numerous hands appeared from out of the ground, spiking and slapping the Heartless in one go, and making them disappear. The hands vanished in a flurry of flower petals.
"Wah!" squawked Donald. "Where did they come from?" Sora asked. Kirito recognized the hands, and he looked around. Instantly, he noticed Nico Robin walk out of one of the alleyways. She wasn't wearing her fur coat anymore, showing her skimpy purple cowgirl outfit, which consisted of a cleavage-exposing corset, a miniskirt with white ornaments, her white cowboy hat and high-heeled boots. She also had a gold arm band with white strings and a N on it.
"Long time, no see, Keyblade wielders." she greeted them. "You!" gasped Asuna. "Mrs. All-Sunday!" gasped Goofy. "Actually, her name is Robin." Sora corrected him. "Did you just defeat those Heartless for us?" Kirito asked her. "Of course." she replied, walking over to a wooden barrel and sitting onto it, "And besides, you owe me for what you did to me."
The others gave puzzled expressions as they turned from Robin to Kirito, who was also confused. "What are you talking about?" he asked, "I didn't do anything to you." "Wrong. And what you did to me was unbearable." she said slyly, crossing her legs together, "Go ahead. Admit it." She's making it sound like I did something either painful or perverted to her. Kirito thought to himself.
He suddenly felt Asuna's eyes close behind him, and he tensed up. "Kirito, what did you do to her?" she asked with deadly warning in her tone. "I didn't do anything, promise!" he panicked, turning to her and waving his hand away, "I swear! Yui and Sora were with me when we met Robin before. Back me up, guys!" "He's right!" Sora agreed. "Papa didn't do anything like that to her. I made sure of it!" Yui added.
Asuna turned coldly at Robin as she asked, "So tell me; what did Kirito do to you anyway?" "Why do you need to ask? You saw it as well." Robin told her, which caused even greater confusion, "I wanted nothing more than to die down there in that tomb, but Kirito made me live. That's his crime." The team recalled the time before, when Kirito picked up Robin, despite her wishes to stay and die, and brought her out of the tomb.
"How is saving someone a crime?" Kirito asked, "You're not making any sense here. What do you want from me?" Robin leaned forward, placing her head on her hand. "I want…to join you." she said simply. There was a moment's pause from the team, then Asuna, Donald and Yui cried out in surprise, "WHAAAT?!"
"Wait, when you say you want to join us, you mean just as long as we're here in this world, right?" Kirito asked. "No. I mean I want to join on your journey, going with you from world to world." Robin replied, "There's no where else for me to go, and I don't have a place to return to." Asuna has a sudden flashback. Those words reminded her strangely of Helen's words from the Pretty Cure world. "I don't a place to go, or a place to return to. I don't know what to do."
"This isn't some fancy cruise were on." Kirito warned her, "There are Heartless, Unversed, and plenty of other nasty villains out there. It might be too much for you to handle." "I've learn to take care of myself." Robin replied, "Besides, you noticed how well I was able to dispatch those Heartless. And it could be quite fun to see new places I've never been to before."
"Just give us a second, okay?" Kirito told her, and he gathered everyone else together to huddle up. "She's definitely serious about doing this." Yui told the group. "Yeah, but is it alright to have her join?" Asuna asked, "I mean, we were enemies once." "But she seems to be okay now." Goofy replied. "But what if she turns against us like she did before?" Donald asked.
"What do you think, Sora?" Kirito asked. "She did save Luffy's life. And we did save her before." Sora recalled, "Maybe we should trust her to join us." "I don't know." Kirito responded, thinking for a second, then he said, "Let's have her tag along with us until we find the Keyhole. Afterwards, we can make a final conclusion on what to do next. Agreed?"
The team decided that was the best idea for now, and they broke the huddle. As they dispersed, Asuna could've sworn she saw an ear sticking out on Goofy's back, but it disappeared in a flower petal. Asuna blinked, then looked to Robin, who was slyly grinning at them. Was that her?
"Okay, we'll have you join." Kirito told her, "But we still need to do stuff here." "And what would that be?" Robin asked, standing up onto her feet. "We're trying to find something called a Keyhole of Bond." Sora explained, "If we find it, we can stop the Heartless from gaining access to this world." "But we need to find some folks who can open it." Goofy told her, "That's why were lookin' for Luffy and those other pirate friends of his."
"If you're looking for them, they had already left for their ship last night." Robin told them. "We're too late!" Donald squawked. "But I heard they were gonna be near the east harbor of Alubarna by noon today." Robin continued, "We can catch up with them there."
"And you know all this how, exactly?" Kirito asked. "I've learned to listen." she responded, walking past the group and going along the street, "East is this direction. We should go now if we want to meet up with them." The team followed her in response, and they set out towards their next destination.
All the while, Asuna watching her cautiously. If you learned to listen, then that really was your ear that I saw listening in on us. She thought to herself, Was that to see if we were trustworthy, or was that your own whim? What's your real story, Nico Robin?
Chapter 2: Operation: Princess Delivery
Getting to the outskirts of Alubarna wasn't easy, since it involved avoiding some marines that were still within the capital, and taking down Heartless. Unlike the time Kirito, Sora and Yui were with Robin before, she started to fight alongside the team against the Heartless, and she was quite the fighter. Her Flower-Flower Devil Fruit granted her strong attacks, making her hands appear along the ground or on the Heartless' bodies, slapping them, spiking up at them, or even clutching them and snapping their necks. Kirito wondered how was that possible since, as far as he knew, most Heartless didn't have bones to begin with.
They went down the long stairs that led outside to where they saw the endless desert ahead of them. "How long will it take us to get to the east harbor?" Kirito asked Robin, who pulled out a pocket watch. "It's just past eight." she told them, "On foot, we won't make it there in time."
Just then, they heard a quack from the top of the stairs, and the team turned to see someone rushing down the steps on an oversized duck that had a chullo with goggles on it. As the figure came closer, they noticed that the person riding on top of the duck was actually Vivi, but she was dressed in white and pink garments that showed more royalty. Her hair fell down her back in waves.
She slowed down the duck as she noticed the team. "Vivi!" greeted Asuna. "It's you guys again." she replied, then she saw Robin and panicked, "And…Mrs. All-Sunday?!" She pulled out what looked like a series of sharp-edged jewels on a wire, ready to use it.
"Hang on!" Sora halted her, stepping in front of her line of fire, "Robin's not a bad person! She can be trusted!" "He's right." Robin agreed, "I don't have any grudge against your kingdom or yourself, Mrs. Wednesday. Or I should call you Princess Vivi now."
Vivi glared down at Robin, not able to trust her fully, even if Sora was protecting her. "How do I know you can be trusted?" she asked her. "You trust us, right?" Kirito asked, "Besides, we've got our eye on her."
"In any case, what are you doing here?" Asuna asked as Donald walked up to the duck, "I thought you were with Luffy's crew." "I was." she answered, "But now that my kingdom is no longer a threat to Crocodile, I'm finally its' princess again. But…I'm kinda stuck. I'm wondering if I should join them and be a pirate with my friends, or stay here and help restore Alabasta as its' princess. So I'm going to the east harbor where I'm suppose to meet them, and make my final decision there."
"We were just going to see them as well." Yui told her, "Mind if we join you? We'll make sure the Heartless won't get in your way." "I would, but Carue can't hold all of you." Vivi replied, indicating her duck which quacked at them, "And it'll be impossible to reach there on foot." "Then what can we do?" Donald asked. Sora and Asuna looked to one another, with no suggestions coming to mind.
"What about that golden alligator we were on before?" Kirito asked, "Or we can ask Pell for a ride." At this, Vivi's expression fallen. "The Bananagator is long gone by now." Robin told the group. "And Pell…he sacrificed himself to save our kingdom from a bomb Crocodile planted." Vivi muttered, causing the others to be shocked at this.
Vivi glared at Robin. "You and Baroque Works were responsible for so much suffering in this kingdom." she snarled, "For three years, my kingdom has suffered, and you did nothing but add to it! How can I forgive you for something like that?! How can you even gain the trust from my friends?!"
Robin looked away from her and from the group's gaze. "I won't deny that I helped Crocodile in his plot. I was only interested in this land's Poneglyph." she told her, "But don't worry. As soon as we find what these six came for, I'll be leaving this land, and you won't see me again." Vivi wasn't convinced at her words, but she was surprised.
"But back to the topic at hand." Kirito stopped the argument, "How are we all gonna get across the desert in time?" That was a tough question for all of them, especially with the tense moment between Robin and Vivi.
Just then, a camel came to the team's side. "Eyelash?" Vivi was surprised to see him here. "Isn't that the same camel we saw on the giant crab?" Goofy asked. Eyelash walked further out into the desert, and called out loudly into the desert. There was a pause, then the team heard a familiar trampling coming their way, along with the ground shaking beneath them. They saw a dust cloud, and with it came the same gigantic crab that they saw before, crawling sideways at a quick pace.
"It's that moving crab again!" Yui noticed. "Nami named it 'Scissors'." Vivi told them. "She couldn't had picked a more original name?" Kirito stated in amusement. The crab came to a stop in front of the group, its' cheeky grin displayed as it looked down at the group. "I think Eyelash called it for us." Goofy suggested. Vivi patted Eyelash's side. "Thanks, Eyelash." she thanked him. Eyelash's eyes became hearts.
"With this moving crab, we should be able to reach the east harbor in time." Robin told them. "Well then, let's ride it!" declared Sora. A few at a time, the group got onto the crab's massive claw, and it raised them up onto its' back, getting them on board. Then once everyone was set, Asuna and Eyelash walked up to it. "Excuse me, but can you take us to the eastern harbor as fast as you can?" she asked. Eyelash whinnied in approval. The crab turned around towards the east direction, and it ran off at a fast pace, going towards their next destination.
The team settled themselves on the crab's back as it moved across the endless desert. Sora, Yui and Donald were at the front side of the crab, looking out. Asuna, Kirito and Goofy were nestled in the middle of the crab. Vivi, Carue and Eyelash were near the head of Scissors, and Robin was on the back side of the crab, watching the trail it was leaving behind.
While Sora, Donald and Yui were watching the path they were taking, Asuna and Kirito were looking from Vivi to Robin. "I feel like we're in an awkward situation right now." Asuna stated. "Those two were once enemies with one another, so to have them traveling together like this…" Kirito told her, "Then again, she was also an enemy of ours, but Vivi didn't notice all the things she did for us before, so we can at least trust her a little."
Asuna looked to where Robin was at, and saw her arms crossed, and her eyes closed. She realized she was using her powers once more, and looked at the group. She saw an ear on Kirito's back this time. "Robin! Give us some privacy, please!" she cried out at the ear. Kirito was surprised and tried look behind him. Goofy noticed the ear as well. The ear disappeared, and Robin un-crossed her arms, looking back at Asuna, who was glaring at Robin.
"Robin, if you want to gain our trust, you're gonna have to learn to let us have private conversations!" Asuna warned her, walking over to her. "It's an unfortunate habit of mine to listen in on people." Robin responded in a simple tone, "I've learned never to put my faith in one group a lot." Everyone looked back at her. "You should at least have a little faith in us, since we decided to let you come with us." Asuna told her. Robin didn't respond to this.
Just then, a bunch of Heartless appeared on top of Scissors back, startling everyone. "Guys, get ready!" shouted Kirito, pulling out his Keyblade. Everyone followed his line of thought, Carue and Vivi readying themselves for combat as well. "Get off this back, now!" Sora shouted to them, and they begun fighting the Heartless.
It seemed like they were gathering up Heartless from all around as they crossed the desert, but the team quickly knocked them out, making sure not to put too much strain on the crab's back. At the same time, the team had to make sure they themselves didn't fall off the back of Scissors either. Kirito ended up taking on his Hylian Soul Drive, repeatedly slashing down the Heartless as they came.
They cleared up the last Heartless, and everyone relaxed for a bit. Sora turned to Vivi, and saw an X mark on her arm. "Hey, what's that?" Sora asked, noticing that Carue also had a X-mark on his wing. "Oh, this?" Vivi asked, looking to her arm, "It's something Zoro suggested all of us draw since we were dealing with a person who could imitate someone's body and voice, so we made this our secret mark. It's not just a secret mark, however. It also is a sign of our friendship with them." "Oh, I see." Sora understood. The others heard what she said as well.
Carue made a panicking quack. The team looked to the direction he was looking at, and found out why he was panicking. A sandstorm was in their path. "Where did that come from?!" Sora cried out. "Ever since Crocodile's defeat, these weird sandstorms have been going throughout the desert." Vivi told the group.
Scissors ended up going through the sandstorm, with everyone else clinging on for dear life on its' back. They could barely see or hear anyone while in the storm, but they did their best to hold on until they passed through.
Asuna and Vivi were close to one another at this point. Vivi was struggling to stay on, but the wind picked up, and Vivi was suddenly tossed off. "Vivi!" shouted Asuna, getting up and jumping after her. She grabbed her hand, and the two girls ended up flying off Scissors, falling into a large hole in the ground. Robin pursued them, and her hat flew off her head as she made a dive for them.
As soon as the crab passed the sandstorm, the team looked up and around. "Vivi and Asuna are missing!" Kirito exclaimed. "So's Robin." Goofy pointed out. "Did they fall off during that storm?" Sora asked, looking at where the sandstorm was still at. Carue cried out loud at the storm, calling for Vivi. "Asuna!" cried Kirito alongside Carue. Everyone hoped that the three girls were still okay.
Chapter 3: The Cold, Darkened Path
Asuna and Vivi were on the sandy ground when they woke up, and they looked around. They were in some sort of large, sandy tunnel, with stone debris here and there, sticking out of the ground and sides. It was fairly dark in the tunnel.
"Finally awake, I see." said Robin, who was looking onward before. "Where are we?" Asuna moaned, getting to her feet again. "If I had to guess, I'd say we were in one of the holes that the Sandora Dragons made." Robin answered. "Sandora Dragons?" Asuna echoed. "It's one of the largest reptiles in Alabasta Kingdom." Vivi explained, rising to her feet as well, "I didn't expect us to go into one of its' holes."
"It might still be lurking around in here." Robin told the two, "Let's hope one doesn't come along and eat us whole." "That's a very pleasant thought." Asuna muttered.
She looked up at the top of the hole. "We're in pretty deep." she noticed, "I'm surprised we didn't get hurt from a fall like that." "I used my powers to cushion your falls." Robin told them. "You did?" Vivi asked, surprised. "Thank you." Asuna thanked her. "Anytime." she responded, walking away, "There's no chance of us getting out the way we came. If we follow this tunnel, I'm pretty sure we'll find another exit." Vivi and Asuna looked to one another, then they followed Robin.
The tunnel got darker as they went on, so Asuna ended up pulling out her Sisterly Bonds Keyblade and made the orange and blue waves on its' stem glow for the team to have vision. It was helpful for all of them, but there was also the fact that Heatless were lurking about inside the tunnel. The three girls stuck together near Asuna's light in order to have a better visual of fighting the Heartless. It felt like a while as they went down the sandy tunnel, climbing and falling as the tunnel dipped and rose.
"I wonder what the others are doing?" Asuna asked. "They're probably searching for us." Vivi replied, "Hopefully, we'll find the end of this tunnel so we can make it to Luffy and the others in time."
"Do you really want to join them?" Asuna asked her, "Shouldn't your responsibilities as this land's princess come first?" "I know that, but still…" Vivi started, stopping in her tracks, "I went to so many wondrous places with them, seeing so many sights that most others wouldn't have a chance of witnessing. If I don't join them, I might never have a chance like this again." "There are some places you'd rather not see. I think living the life you have here is just fine." Robin told Vivi, who glared back at her, not wanting her opinion.
Asuna turned to Robin. "What about you?" she asked, "You said you wanted to find this Rio Poneglyph before. If you come with us, you'll never be able to fulfill that dream." Robin looked down a bit. "I know that." she answered, "But there are too many enemies in my life. I feel like maybe it would be best if I would just escape from this world, go someplace else where I didn't have to face these enemies ever again."
Asuna and Vivi looked to her with a mixture of confusion and/or sympathy. Finally, Asuna asked, "You said before that you didn't have any other place to go or return to. I have a friend who said something like that before, but that was because she was under someone's control, and she betrayed her home and the people she was being controlled by. Are you in some sort of situation like that, too?"
Robin didn't say anything for a while, looking to one side, wondering if she should answer. Finally she said, "Twenty years ago, the island for which I was born from was destroyed." Vivi and Asuna gasped in surprise. "The World Government issued a Buster Call, which sent five vice admirals and ten large warships to it, destroying everything and everyone without the slightest mercy. It was a nightmare version of concentrated arson. My home island was wiped off the map."
She paused so that the two girls could take in the description, then she continued, "I was the only survivor of that assault. I was only eight years old then, and they issued a bounty on my head; 79 million berries. For twenty years, I ran from the World Government, finding refuge everywhere I went, only to be betrayed or to have betrayed someone in order to live. I alone walked this darkened path, facing the world and all it brought. That's why I wanted to join you. In this world, I am alone, and no one willing to let me accomplish my dream."
The two girls stared at her, seeing the solemn look on Robin's face. "I had no idea." Vivi mumbled. "I'm sorry I asked you to tell us." Asuna apologized. "It's okay. You didn't know." Robin responded, "Anyways, we should keep moving. You want to see the Straw Hats, so we should hurry." She started to walk off. Vivi and Asuna looked to one another, then followed Robin.
Asuna's mind was fluttering with what Robin said. She wanted to know her story, but she didn't expect something so tragic like that. No wonder she wasn't able to trust them, since betrayal was pretty much embedded into her life. If she were to join them, she would end up facing more dangerous situations like what happened to her. On the other hand, with something like that happened to her when she was just eight. Asuna just couldn't abandon her. She was confused as to how to help out Robin.
After a while of walking and fighting, the trio found themselves in an open area underneath the sand. It was wide, underneath a dome of some kind, and there was a small fragment of light coming from a small hole above them. There were columns and debris of what might've been a building that was either buried underneath the sand or it was made for to be underground.
"This must've belonged to one of the fallen buildings in Alabasta." Vivi stated, looking around. "The path onward is already caved in." Asuna noticed on the other side of the room, seeing where they might have gone before, but it was covered by fallen sand. "It looks like we're stuck." Vivi muttered, looking down in dismay.
Robin was looking around, and noticed something near the center of the room. It was a black slab of some kind, with writing of a different language on it. Asuna saw where she went to, and she led Vivi over. "What did you find?" Asuna asked her. "It looks like someone put this here after this building had fallen." Robin responded, "Let me read it out loud."
After examining it for a second she read, "To face the path for which seems bleak, face your fear in which you don't wish to seek. By reading this chant, your trial will start, and fight the darkness within your heart."
It was mere seconds after she read this when suddenly, the stone began to emanate a black aura. Robin stepped away in caution as Asuna had her weapon at the ready. "What's it doing?!" gasped Vivi. "I think it's doing as the poem said; it's creating the fear for whoever read it." Robin was frightened, since she was the one who read it. The aura became a blasting column of dark energy for a while, forming a dark barrier around the room, blocking them in.
The team then saw the slab with the poem on it take a new shape. It became a very tall man, maybe over nine feet tall. He was slim and muscular, and he had black curly hair and tanned skin. He wore a white button-up vest over a purple long sleeved shirt and yellow tie, white trousers and shoes to match. He also had a sleep mask on his forehead.
He stared down at the three girls. Robin's eyes went into shock as she fell on her butt. "Robin!" gasped Asuna, seeing her panic-stricken face. "Well, if it isn't Nico Robin." said the man before them, "Are you here to finally give yourself up?" "A-Aokiji!" stammered Robin. "Wait, as in Marine Admiral Aokiji?" Vivi asked, "One of the World Government's Greatest Military Powers?!"
"I'm too lazy right now to stir up a fight right now." Aokiji told the trio, "So do me a favor, and come quietly, Nico Robin." Robin was too petrified to answer. Asuna and Vivi looked down at her.
Asuna's face became serious. "Vivi, we have to protect Robin!" Asuna declared, getting into her fighting stance. "What?!" gasped Vivi, startled that she would ask her to do something like that. "This man is Robin's greatest fear." Asuna stated, "We have to defeat him in order to save her!" Vivi looked down at her, then reminded of the things she did before in Alabasta, then of the moment she told her backstory. Finally, she decided, and pulled out her weapons. "Okay, I'll help!" she stated, and the two girls got in front of Robin, who looked up at the two, shocked they would go through with this.
Vivi went up first, sending her weapon, the Peacock String Slasher, straight at Aokiji's head. It struck, and his head shattered into ice. "You got him!" Asuna cheered. However, seconds after she retracted her weapon, Aokiji's head reformed itself, going back to normal. "What the…?!" gasped Vivi as she and Asuna saw him heal himself. "He uses the Ice-Ice Fruit." Robin muttered, causing the two to stare back at her, "It's a Logia type." "So he's like Crocodile?!" gasped Vivi, turning to see Aokiji rub his neck.
Asuna stepped forward, "In that case, leave him to me." Asuna stated, "My Keyblade can damage him just like it did with Crocodile. Vivi, you step back. I don't want you to get hurt!" Vivi nodded in response, and she moved away. Robin was unable to move from her spot. Asuna noticed her petrified state, and she turned to Aokiji. "I'll be your opponent. So bring it on!" Asuna declared, ready to face Aokiji.
Chapter 4: Ice-Shattering Trust
She charged at him with her Keyblade, and Aokiji raised a hand. The two came in contact, and the man caught Asuna's Keyblade by the front. It begun to turn to ice right before her, and Asuna, seeing what he was doing, unleashed a Thundara spell, which electrified Aokiji, making him relinquish his grip onto her Keyblade.
Asuna jumped to one side and unleashed a Linear Rapier Skill, causing Aokiji damage and to be pushed back. He used his ice powers to create a saber, and he came as Asuna. The two clashed blades, striking one after another, ending with Aokiji knocking Asuna backwards. He was about to slash her, but Asuna put up her Firaga spell to protect her, melting the Ice Saber at the same time.
Asuna was aways from Aokiji, who decided to shift his attention to Robin again, who hadn't moved. He took a few steps towards her, but Asuna got in his path. "I told you: Your opponent is me!" she declared, and she thrusted her Keyblade at him, and he jumped away.
Asuna turned to Robin. "Robin! Stand up and get away from here!" she yelled at her, "You're just getting in the way right now!" Robin looked up at Asuna, who turned back to the fight at hand, and charged in. Robin got to her feet at long last, but she was still unable to move from the spot as she watched Asuna fight strongly against Aokiji, who despite his demeanor was a powerful fighter. He sent ice spears he called Phalanx, waves of ice pheasants, and even froze the ground, Asuna almost getting frozen with it.
"Why?" Robin asked herself as she watched Asuna, "Why is she helping me out like this?" She recalled the time Sora, Yui and Kirito defended her from Crocodile, from when they healed her, and from when they rescued her. "These wielders of the Keyblade. Why do they fight so hard for my sake?" she asked, "They fight as strongly as those with D in their names, despite that they won't get anything from helping me."
Asuna's Firaga attack seemed to do the most damage to Aokiji, who had a hard time avoiding her attacks. Asuna charged at him once more, and her eyes flashed blue like once before. She then put her fire magic into her Cartwheel, and performed a Firewheel, which burnt Aokiji as she flipped and slammed her feet against him. Asuna looked down at what she did. "Whoa! That new cartwheel…became an offensive move!" she stated, "I get the feeling Aqua helped me out there."
Aokiji was on his back from that attack, but he disappeared in a gust of arctic winds. Asuna saw this and looked around, wondering where he went. Robin looked around, then saw where he appeared and gasped in shock.
"Asuna! Behind you!" shouted Vivi. Asuna turned just in time to see Aokiji fall his whole body on top of her. She wasn't able to react in time. "No, don't!" shouted Robin, but too late. "Ice Time." said Aokiji, and Asuna's body began to turn into ice. "L-Let go of me!" shuddered Asuna, trying to break free, but the ice was going up to her waist, then to her chest, and finally, her face. Aokiji let go of her, revealing Asuna completely frozen in ice.
Both Vivi and Robin were in shock as to what happened. "And so goes another victim made because of you." Aokiji stated, turning to Robin, who was stepping back a bit, "You caused another person to suffer and die because you were with them." "That's not true!" shouted Robin, though she wasn't sure if she was being truthful.
"Every organization and group of some sort that you joined has fallen, and yet you seem to get away from every one of them unscathed." Aokiji continued, walking slowly towards Robin, "Any person in your path has suffered. I let you go twenty years ago, but you ended up becoming a nuisance to this world. It's clear to me now that you don't belong here with anyone."
He was directly in front of Robin, who was too overwhelmed by his words to speak or move. "I might as well do the honor of ending your life, here and now." Aokiji said, creating another ice saber, "Farewell, Nico Robin." He reached his free hand out to Robin, the cold chill coming from it showed he was going to freeze her as well. Robin closed her eyes, waiting for her death to happen.
Just then, they heard several cracks from behind, followed by a shattering of ice. The in a quick flash, Asuna came in front of Robin, knocking Aokiji's hand aside, and thrusting her Keyblade into his stomach so hard, it made a shockwave as Aokiji was sent hurdling back.
"Asuna!" cried Vivi, happy to see her there. "How did you…?" Robin started. "This wasn't the first time I got stuck in ice." Asuna stated, indicating her time in her heart when Aqua froze her in a column of ice.
Robin saw Asuna lower her Keyblade and look up at her. "I was able to hear what he said through the ice." Asuna told her, "And you know what? He is totally wrong. You were just trying to survive, but you were also looking for the right people to be with you. Well, you found me, Kirito, Sora, all of us. I bet even Luffy and his crew would be okay having you with them. And you also have Vivi." Robin turned her head to Vivi, who was behind a column, and the two made eye contact.
"You see? You aren't alone anymore." Asuna told her, "You have a purpose, and you have a dream to acquire. So long as you have those things, you will find friends who won't leave you. It doesn't matter who you are, no one was born in ANY world to be alone." Robin eyes were shocked. Those were the same words a good friend of her's said before she escaped her home island of Ohara.
Asuna glared back at Aokiji. "This man was made from that black stone; which resembles your nightmares. I'll make sure your nightmares are destroyed, and that your life will become bright once more!" Asuna charged once more at Aokiji, and Robin watched in amazement.
Asuna jumped up and unleashed her aerial Finisher, Crushing Blow, slicing at Aokiji and making him topple. He quickly got back up, sending four of his ice phalanx, to which Asuna used Magnega to attract them together, shattering each other. Asuna slashed at him again, but he used his Ice Saber to counter her strike.
Robin watched Asuna stern face as she and Aokiji clashed blades once more. She then recalled the words that the same friend told her twenty years ago. "The seas a vast place, so I guarantee...ugh...someday, you'll find friends who won't ever leave ya! No matter who you are, ain't no one born into this world to be alone! Share your life with them, and never let them go…"
She then recalled Sora and Luffy's words back in the tomb. "Helping each other out is what friends do!" Then she remembered overhearing something Kirito said when he left her. "That person has a dream. She can't let it go so easily." And finally, she recalled Asuna's words to her just now. She looked down, her eyes shadowed from view.
Asuna performed her Firewheel once more, but Aokiji caught one of Asuna's feet with a frozen hand, and the two elements canceled each other out. Asuna removed her foot, pulled out her Keyblade, and thrusted it towards Aokiji. He moved to the side, caught the stem of the blade, and placed his other hand on Asuna's head. "This time, I'll freeze you both inside and out." he said, and his hand was already making the top of her hair start to freeze. "No, not again!" Asuna moaned, feeling the cold go down her forehead, going into her right eye.
"Seis Fluer!" cried Robin, "Shove!" Six arms came out of Asuna's chest and waist, slamming themselves into Aokiji and shattering his body into ice. As the pieces of his body toppled to the ground, Asuna stumbled back, used a Firaga spell to warm up her head, melting all the ice off of her.
Asuna saw the arms disappear, then she turned to Robin, who's arms were crossed. "I know I can't undo the wrongs that I have done before." she muttered, "But at least I can do what I can now to protect the friends who are willing to protect me!" Vivi looked surprised that she saved Asuna. Asuna, however, smiled confidently.
"I want people to trust me once more, and for them to know that I will never betray them." Robin continued, walking over next to Asuna's side, "I will find the Rio Poneglyph, and I'll share it with my friends AND the world. As long as I have friends like Asuna and Vivi, I will remain true to that dream!" Asuna and Robin looked to one another, and Robin smiled at her. It wasn't her usual sly one, but a gracious one. A caring one. The ones that friends give to one another.
"I'll fight by your side." Vivi added, coming to Asuna's other side. "Vivi?" Asuna questioned "In fact, I think I already know what to do know." Vivi followed, "I know that someday, I will meet Luffy and all of you again, but for now, my country needs me. So I'll wait until all of them return, so that I'll have a kingdom that'll welcome them in." She turned to Robin as she finished, "And that includes you, too." Robin was surprised, then she smiled.
"Then let's not stand around her and wait for Aokiji to make the next move." Asuna told the two girls, witnessing Aokiji reform his body again, "Vivi, Robin, let's give this icy monster what it means when the three of us work together as a team!" "Right!" responded the two women.
Just then, a ball of light started to shine from Robin's chest. At the same time, Asuna's body began to glow brightly. Aokiji shielded his eyes. Vivi gasped as she saw the two.
From outside the hole, the team on Scissors saw the bright light shine out of the sand. "What is that?!" Donald gasped. "It looks like…the light of the Soul Drive." Sora noticed, "That must mean that Asuna is over there!" Carue quacked excitedly. "You ready to help them?" Kirito asked a figure behind him. "Of course." he answered, his white robe whipping in the wind, "I serve to protect the princess."
Robin touched the light in her chest, and pulled it out of her. "What is this?" she asked. "It's the light of your heart." Asuna replied, "A light that burns brightly so long as friends are by your side. That light symbolizes our strong friendship, and that in return grants new powers that can destroy any darkness."
The light shot upward, falling down in front of Asuna, who took it. The light around her became an orchid color. "You and I share the same heart now." Asuna stated, feeling the power, "And now I'll display it! Fluer Soul!" Her body burst with energy.
In a cutscene, Asuna's body and clothing were surrounded by pink flower petals, which masked her body until they bursted forth, revealing her once more in her new attire. Asuna casually walked forward, then came to a standstill. She twisted her left arm around, and multiple hands produced along her arm. "I'll unlock the true history with my Keyblade!" she said, holding her pose as she smiled.
Asuna's new Soul Drive attire wasn't as elaborate as her others, but her skin tanned a bit like Robin's, her hair smoothed down more, and her attire made her waist look a bit thinner. She now wore a short, black, cleavage-revealing leather dress with long sleeves over a white and lavender polka-dotted under dress. Her cross straps that covered some of her revealing cleavage were now orchid. She also now wore black thigh high-heeled boots with metallic soles on them. Her Wayfinder was now in her side pocket.
Asuna's eyes were half-closed as she stared at Aokiji. "I won't forgive you ever for hurting Robin." she told him calmly, "I'll make sure you suffer!" Asuna charged in, her Keyblade at hand. Aokiji made the floor icy again, but Asuna flipped over it. Despite being in high heels, this didn't affect her speed or balance in the slightest.
Asuna had her Keyblade at hand as she crossed her arms, and her arm with he Keyblade appeared from a nearby column, slamming him hard. The surprise attack made him tumble, and Asuna made two more hands with Keyblades appear from the ground, thrusting up at him, and sending him onto his back. "That…looks like my Flower-Flower Fruit powers." Robin realized. "This is quite the handy new ability." Asuna stated, landing neatly onto her feet again.
Aokiji got up and shot more ice pheasants at Asuna who jumped just as Vivi's two Peacock String Slashers came in, slashing all of the attacks away. Aokiji jumped to go after Asuna, but Robin produced hands from the ground, grabbing his legs and pulling him to the ground again. Robin's arms disappeared before Aokiji even thought of freezing them.
Asuna made four more arms and Keyblade appear, slamming onto Aokiji's back hard, followed by Asuna herself, thrusting her Keyblade straight down upon his head. She somersaulted away from him, and landed on either side of Vivi and Robin. Aokiji stumbled as he got up again, and as he showed his face, the trio noticed part of it crack, revealing the stone part which he was really made out of.
"I'm not finished with you." Aokiji told them and his body began to produce arctic winds around it. He then slammed his hand into the ground as he shouted, "Ice Time!" Everything in front instantly began to freeze before him, and it was nearing its' way toward the girl.
Asuna and Robin looked to two columns near them, and made hands produce themselves from the top of them, almost rope-like. Asuna grabbed Vivi, and the trio were pulled upwards by retracting the arms. The ice neared the columns, and begun to freeze them as well. The trio made it to the top of each column, and jumped off them just as it froze over.
Asuna, Robin and Vivi dove at Aokiji, who was surprised that they dodged his attack. He sent Ice Phalanx at them, but Vivi sliced them with her slashers. Robin had a clear view of Aokiji, produced eight arms on his body, and made him stay still.
Asuna landed onto the ground, placed her Keyblade away, and crossed her arms. "Cien Fluer!" she cried, unleashing her Finisher, "Big Tree!" From underneath Aokiji, a hundred hands instantly produced themselves into something like a giant tree. It shoved Aokiji upwards, still bound by Robin's attack.
"You're history!" Asuna shouted, and she dashed forward as Aokiji fell. His body flipped to see her get close, and Robin relinquished him just as Asuna pierced right through him. For a while, no one moved, then Aokiji's body began to crack, only it wasn't ice but the black rock he was made of, and he shattered away into little pieces, and a dark vapor left his body. He was finished.
Chapter 5: Intrusion at the East Harbor
Asuna put her Keyblade away and flipped back some hair that was out of place. She turned to the two girls, smiled and giggled at the enjoyment in their victory. Vivi and Robin smiled in response. Asuna's body glowed, and she reverted back to normal.
"Well, I feel cooled off." Asuna stated, walking up to the two, "Thanks for all the support." "No, it was you who beaten him." Vivi told her. "You're wrong." Asuna stopped her, "WE beat him. I wasn't able to beat him without your guys' help. Thank you." "It was no problem for us." Robin responded, and the trio giggled at this.
Suddenly, the place started to shake all around them, and the trio felt the sand falling from the ceiling. "What's going on?!" Asuna asked, looking around. "I think that fight caused the place to become unstable!" Vivi guessed, "If that happens, then the top of this place will collapse onto us!"
Asuna panicked, looking around for a way out, but just couldn't see one. "I don't suppose you have any good ideas, Robin?" Asuna asked as the trio gathered back-to-back with one another. "Unfortunately, I can't think of any that'll be quick." Robin responded, looking up at the ceiling, seeing rubble crash to the ground around them. The team was trapped.
Just then, something came rushing through the small hole of light towards the outside, which became bigger from the shaking. It swooped down towards the group, who saw it coming. Vivi gasped in shock as it dove in, quickly got all three of them on its' back, and took off through the hole just as the ruins collapsed onto itself. What save them was none other than an oversized falcon. Pell the Falcon.
"Are you alright, Princess Vivi?" Pell asked. "Pell!" cried Vivi, "But I thought you were…!" "I somehow survived the bomb blast." Pell replied, "I was stranded in the desert, too injured to move. I thought I was gonna die, but your friends down there saved me." Asuna, Robin and Vivi looked down to see Kirito, Sora, Carue and the rest of the crew on the giant crab's back. Sora, Donald, Goofy and Yui were waving excitedly up at them. Asuna and Vivi both waved back happily as they neared Scissors.
They landed onto the crab's back, and the team on it before rushed over to them. "You're all okay!" Sora cheered. "Thank goodness." Kirito sighed. "We were unable to find you before." Yui told them as Carue ran up to Vivi in order for her to hug him, "But we found Pell in the desert, then we saw a bright light, and found you guys as well." "I'm glad to see you guys are all okay as well." Vivi told them, turning to Pell, "Especially you, Pell." Pell smiled in response.
"About that flash of light we saw before." Kirito started to tell Asuna, "That looked a lot like the light from a Soul Drive. Does that mean you got a new Soul Drive now?" "You bet." Asuna replied. "Who did you get it from? Robin or Vivi?" Goofy asked. Asuna, Robin and Vivi looked to one another, smiled then Asuna responded, "It's a secret." "Okay, now I'm even more curious." Kirito stated as the trio of girl laughed at his and Goofy's expression.
Just then, three magic orbs appeared out of nowhere in front of Sora, Kirito and Asuna. "Those are Blizzard Elements." Yui analyzed, "Your Blizzara is now upgraded to Blizzaga." The three took the orbs, feeling the new power within them.
"Papa, shouldn't we get moving to the east harbor?" Yui reminded her father. "Oh, that's right." Kirito remembered, "We should get moving if we want to catch up with Luffy and the others. We're halfway there, and we haven't got much time left. Robin pulled out her pocket watch and looked at it. "We only have a little over an hour until noon." she warned everyone. "Then let's move!" cried Sora, "Onward, Scissors!"
The crab started to move east, and the team settled themselves down as Asuna told them in broad details about what happened, making sure not to tell them about who's Soul Drive Asuna got. "Facing your worst fear, huh?" Kirito asked, "That's quite a tough challenge." "I had no idea your home island was destroyed." Yui said solemnly. "Yeah, well don't worry about it." Sora assured her, "When you're in our team, we'll make sure you never face those situations again!"
"Actually, I don't think I'll be joining your crew." Robin told them, which surprised the group, even Asuna, "I think I'll join Luffy's group. He did, after all, assist in my escape from the tomb." "So he's a criminal in all of this, too?" Kirito asked in a bemused tone.
"I think you're making the right decision." Vivi agreed with Robin's choice, "Their crew has a way of making your wildest dreams come true." "And we can vouch for you as well." Asuna added, "If all of us assure them that you can be trusted, then I'm sure Luffy will be happy to have you on board." Robin nodded hopefully.
"I should be heading back to Alubarna." Pell told the group. "You're not coming?" Vivi asked with a surprised tone. "I don't think it would be wise for me to be seen with a group of pirates, despite that they are good friends." Pell responded, "Besides, I should tell your father that I am okay, and I can resume my duties as a guardian to the royal family. I shall be waiting for you in Alubarna." "Right." Vivi understood. Pell took a glance at Robin, then walked away, transforming into his falcon form, and taking off into the sky.
Vivi then suddenly gasped. "Hold on, I forgot to tell him we already put up a gravestone for him!" she recalled. "Woops." Sora muttered, with Donald and Goofy moaning at the thought. "It'll be interesting to see how he would react to his own grave." Robin wondered with a smile on her face. "Robin, let's just not." Asuna responded to her.
It took some time for the crew to get to the east harbor, during which Robin soothingly asked Scissors to move faster, to which the perverted crab replied by increasing his speed after seeing her figure. "This crab is really moving!" cried Sora. "I just don't feel comfortable with this." Asuna muttered. "It takes some getting use to." Vivi assured her.
It was five minutes before noon when the crew saw the harbor. "There it is!" cried Donald. "Scissors, slow down!" cried Vivi, with Eyelash calling to him. They slowed down near the shore, and everyone hopped off him. With that, Scissors left them and took off into the desert. "Bye, Scissors!" cried Sora. "Thanks a lot for the ride!" shouted Goofy. "Safe travels!" finished Yui.
When the crab buried itself underneath the sand and disappeared, the team turned to the shoreline. "Is this where Luffy and the others are suppose to meet you?" Sora asked Vivi. "It is." she answered, "Nami said they would come here at 12, on the dot." "We are a bit early, but they should be arriving soon." Robin told the group.
A couple minutes later, the team finally noticed a ship on the horizon. The figurehead of the ship was a sheep's head, and based on Asuna's knowledge, she deduced it to be a caravel. It had what looked like a tangerine trees near the back of it, and the main sail and flag had a skull and crossbones, along with a familiar straw hat on the skull's head.
"Is that it?" Goofy asked. "It has a straw hat on its' pirate flag." Kirito noticed, "That's got to be them. "That's it. The Going Merry." Vivi introduced them. "That's a pretty cool ship they have." Sora stated. "Look! That's them on board!" squawked Donald, pointing to where he saw them. The team had a clear shot of all six members of the Strawhat crew.
On the Going Merry, Ussop, Chopper and Luffy were looking out towards the shore, searching for Vivi. "Where is she?" Chopper asked, "She said she would meet us here now." "Forget it." Zoro told them, standing near the stairs to the upper level of the ship, "She's probably decided to stay back and take care of her country." "She may have been a beautiful member of our crew, but she has her reasons to stay." Sanji added, standing close to Zoro.
Finally, Ussop cried, "Hey! I see her! She's at the harbor shore!" Everyone went to the side of the ship and saw the shoreline, where Vivi and everyone else was at. "Vivi!" shouted Luffy, waving his hands fanatically at her. "Look, even those six guys we met before are with her, too!" Nami pointed out, seeing from the second level of the ship. "Yeah, and Carue and Eyelash, too!" Chopper added.
"Wait, hold on." Zoro stopped them, "Isn't that woman with them Crocodile's partner? What the heck is she doing with them?" "Whoa, what a hottie!" said the heart-eyed Sanji. "Oh yeah, we saved her after we defeated Crocodile." Luffy recalled. "You did what?!" Ussop and Nami shouted at him.
Back on the shore, some of the team were waving their hands at the pirate ship, signaling that they were there. "Go ahead, Vivi." Sora turned to her, "Call to them on whether you're going to join or not."
Vivi looked to the ship, and she was about to speak when suddenly another sandstorm came up from behind them, almost blowing them all into the sea. "Not again!" cried Donald. "Is this Crocodile's fault?!" Asuna cried within the sandstorm. "No! The marines have already arrested him, so it shouldn't be him!" Vivi replied, "But this sandstorm…what's causing it?!"
"There!" cried Yui, shielding her eyes as she pointed to a spot close behind them, "Sora! Blow this sand away with Wind magic!" Sora did what he was told, shooting an Aeroga spell within the sandstorm, which struck something. The sand died down, and the team looked up at the thing that cause the sandstorm. It was a Heartless.
Chapter 6: Straw Hats and Keyblades Unite!
It was a large humanoid-like beast that was mainly white, gold and brown colored, with six arms and and a golden cobra head. Its' body made it look like it wore a tunic and pants with a turquoise sash and curled toes. In its' middle hands on each side were two large silver crescent swords with gold-trimmed holes close to the front.
"What is that thing?!" gasped Asuna, stumbling back a bit as the team saw the monster. "Sora!" Donald squawked. "Yeah. I remember it." Sora responded, "We fought this thing when I first went to Agrabah, long before I met Kirito, Asuna and Yui. But I can't remember its' name. It was quite a weird one…" "The Kurt Zisa!" Yui analyzed, "It's a very dangerous and tricky Heartless to fight." While Carue and Eyelash ran away from the group, the eight remaining stood there, ready to fight it.
"Gum-Gum…" shouted a familiar voice, and Kirito turned to see Luffy pull back as he held onto the side of the ship closest to the shore. "Here comes the calvary." Kirito told the others. "…Rocket!" shouted Luffy, and he launched himself towards the team. Everyone turned, and Sora panicked as Luffy rammed into him, Asuna and Donald in a straight line. They were sent meters away when they crashed into the sand just past the Kurt Zisa. Everyone else was dumbfounded at what just happened.
When the sand cloud cleared, the three heroes were on the ground while Luffy quickly got to his feet again. "Hey guys! Let me help out taking this thing down!" Luffy shouted to the five remaining who didn't get hit by him. Asuna quickly rose and grabbed Luffy's collar as she, Sora and Donald fiercely glared at him. "I SHOULD KILL YOU FIRST RIGHT NOW!" Asuna yelled at him, shaking him sensless. "Why did you knock into us like that?!" Sora shouted as Donald squawked fiercely with a plethora of words. "Sorry about that?" Luffy replied with an innocent smile.
The Kurt Zisa made two orbs appear in its' bottom pair of hands as it glowed brightly, and the team were suddenly enveloped in a white-lighted prisms as well. "I'M GONNA MAKE YOU SUFFER SO MUCH, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO…" Asuna started to shout, but suddenly, she wasn't speaking, even as her mouth moved. Kirito became confused, and tried speaking up, but his voice was gone. What's going on? Kirito thought to himself, grasping his throat, I'm unable to speak. He looked to the others around him, who also realized they were unable to speak either.
The Kurt Zisa cam at Luffy and Asuna, who barely dodged it as it spun its' blades at them. Sora and Donald looked to one another, nodded, then they started to attack the orbs that the monster carried. Looks like they're attacking the orbs that the Heartless carry. Kirito noticed, That's probably what is causing our silence. Okay, then let's go! Kirito joined in with the attack, with Goofy and Vivi at his side, leaving Yui and Robin behind.
Since they were silent, they were unable to use their magic. However, they didn't need to speak to do their other skills. Luffy and Robin were still able to use their Devil Fruit powers, they just weren't able to declare them as they normally would. Asuna and Kirito were able to use both their Sword Skills and their Finishers, but none of the team were able to go into their Soul Drives. Sora may have been the weakest link since he didn't have a Finisher outside the Soul Drive, but his experience with fighting the Kurt Zisa a long time ago was well enough to make up for it, since he was able to predict its' sword swings and aim for the orbs it carried.
After a while, Sora and Luffy made the final attack onto one of the orbs, destroying it. The team could feel a healing wave from it that restored a bit of their health. A minute later, Kirito's Rage Spike Sword Skill destroyed the other orb, which healed the team a bit more. Suddenly, the team felt their voices come back again.
"Yeah! I can yell again!" shouted Luffy. "Not in my ear!" cried Sora. "Guys! The Kurt Zisa is down!" Yui called out to them, "Give it your best shot!" "Then I'll show you my best shot!" Sora declared, Since I know what it's gonna do next…Sky Pirate Soul!" His body bursted with energy, and he made the transition into his Sky Pirate Soul Drive. "Fly in the freedom of adventure!" Sora shouted, marking his pose.
"Asuna! Let's do it!" Kirito shouted, signaling a Cross Burst. The two drew their Xs; one blue and one yellow, and the two melded together, forming an X with both colors on each half. It settled on the ground beneath them, enveloping them in a blue and yellow aura. They floated into the air, setting their sights on the Kurt Zisa.
"Starlight…" Asuna started. "…Shower!" Kirito finished. Asuna rose high into the air as Kirito rocketed forward in a bright yellow aura, his Keyblade out in front. Asuna raised her Keyblade high, and numerous stars started to shine around her. She then waved her Keyblade forward, and the stars started to rain down, rocketing forward alongside Kirito. The stars got in front, and started peppering away at the Kurt Zisa rapidly, ending with Kirito piercing right through before coming at a standstill behind it. Asuna floated back to the ground, the Keyblade to her side.
Luffy's eyes were sparkling and his mouth was gaping at the sheer awesomeness of what they just did. "It isn't enough!" warned Sora, and he was right. The Heartless recovered from being stunned, and it started to float into the air. "What's it doing?!" Vivi asked. "It's entering it's second defense." Sora responded.
Immediately. it formed a barrier around its' entire body, protecting it. "I got it!" Luffy declared, stretching his arm back. "Yeah, me too." Kirito responded, racing at it with Keyblade at hand. "No, wait!" shouted Sora, but the two have already struck the barrier, and their attacks were instantly bounced back.
"It didn't do any damage." Robin noticed. "That's an anti-physical barrier!" Yui shouted, "No physical attacks will work against it!" "Why didn't you…" Kirito started. "You're Mr. Quick-Strike." Asuna replied, "You and Luffy act on instincts, so don't go blaming it on us."
"Guys, we shouldn't be arguing." Vivi told the group, "It's making its' move." "We have to use magic to take down its' barrier." Sora told the group, seeing the Heartless on the move, "Vivi, Goofy and Luffy, you three stay back. Everyone else, target it with all the magic you got!" "Right!" Donald squawked. "Robin, your attacks can reach the Heartless from inside its' barrier." Asuna told her, "You should help on the assault as well." "Of course." Robin replied as Yui passed her to join the fight.
Sora, Asuna, Kirito, Donald and Yui all pursued the Heartless while Robin kept moving around, making sure that the Heartless was in her sights as she used her arms to slap it from the inside. Sora's Sky Pirate Soul Drive allowed him access to the Finishers he had in the form, which were all magic based. The beast sent fireballs at the group, but Sora and Kirito knocked them back at the barrier, weakening it.
The Kurt Zisa was getting tired of Robin's inner assault. It raised its' arms, and tornadoes surrounded Robin, startling her as they drew nearer, forming into one large tornado, tossing her high into the air, damaging her. "Robin!" Asuna shouted, breaking from the group and racing at her. She jumped up and caught her.
The Kurt Zisa targeted the two girls, and shot two fireballs at them. "Asuna! Robin! Watch out!" shouted Kirito as they noticed the attack coming their way. "Veinte Fluer: Calendula!" Robin chanted, and ten arms appeared on each arm, forming two circular shields made of her arms. She shifted in front of Asuna, and the fireballs made contact with her barrier. While it blocked the attack, it damaged Robin's arms with burns. "Robin!" Asuna cried, startled at what she done.
Luffy ran along the ground until he was underneath the place the two girls fell. "Gum-Gum Balloon!" shouted Luffy, puffing up his belly, cushioning the fall for Robin and Asuna. They bounced off him, and Asuna held Robin as she landed onto her feet. "Robin, your arms!" Asuna gasped, seeing how burnt they were." "I'll be okay, as long as you are." Robin told her. Asuna was startled at this, but she was gracious at Robin's sacrifice.
"I'll heal the burn." Yui cried, racing over as she and Luffy grouped with the girls. Yui raised her tessen. "Esuna!" she shouted, and an aura of energy surrounded Robin, and she looked down to see her burn marks fade away. "Let me add to it." Asuna followed, "Cura!" Asuna helped restore Robin's stamina. "Thank you." Robin thanked the two girls.
Robin and Luffy made eye contact, and Luffy stared blankly at her while Robin smiled back. "Robin's not here to cause trouble." Asuna assured him, "Actually, she was thinking about joining your crew. She doesn't have any other place to go, so please say you'll let her join."
Luffy paused for a second, then he said, "You did just risked your life to protect my friend." "And she also saved your life from that quicksand before. Remember?" Yui reminded him. "She's just someone who's looking for some friends to sail with while trying to reach her dream." Asuna told him, "Please let her join."
Luffy looked at Robin. "They are saying the truth." Robin told him, "I'm deciding to join your crew, since you were part of saving my life before. And it is as Asuna said; I don't have anywhere else to go." "I see your point." Luffy responded, "I guess there's no choice. Welcome." Asuna and Yui smiled happily at Luffy's agreement.
"Guys, if you're done talking, we could really use the help over here!" shouted Kirito, seeing that they broke the barrier from the Heartless, and it was dazed. Asuna turned to Luffy. "Hey Luffy, throw me at a straight line towards the Heartless." "But why?" Luffy asked. "Just do it!" Asuna told him, "Wrap your arm around my waist, and throw me hard, okay?" Luffy nodded in confirmation.
Asuna went aways from Luffy as Yui and Robin raced into the fight. Luffy stretched his arm back, wrapping around Asuna's waist. "Here we…go!" shouted Luffy, shooting Asuna forward at the Kurt Zisa. She rocketed passed Robin and Yui, pulled out her Keyblade, and unleashed her Shooting Star Rapier Skill, jabbing headlong into the Heartless, causing it great damage and to send it toppling back several meters.
"Amazing…" Vivi gasped. "Nice shot, Asuna!" cheered Goofy. Asuna landed onto her feet again, smirking at the crew as she gave a thumbs up. Robin, Yui and Luffy joined the group, and the nine fighters turned to see the Heartless stand up again. "It's gonna try to silence us again." Sora warned them. "Then I should change into my Soul Drive again." Kirito understood, "Hylian Soul!" His body bursted with energy, and entered his Hylian Soul Drive, giving a war cry as he spun his blade into battle position.
The Kurt Zisa unleashed its' Silencega spell onto the nine, muting them once more. However, since Kirito didn't speak while he was in his Hylian Soul Drive, it didn't matter to him. With the two orbs that sustained the silence spell on them in the Kurt Zisa's hands, the team made a mad dash for attacking the Heartless.
The Kurt Zisa jumped and spun like a wheel vertically with it's blades out. It dove at the crew, and all nine of them were unable to dodge it in time. They all scattered about as it spun right through the group, damaging every one of them. They all fell to the ground as it came around, this time in a horizontal spin, targeting Luffy. Vivi gasped as she saw him in danger.
Robin quickly crossed her arms, then using Kirito's body as an anchor, she produced several that attached to one another, grabbed Luffy's shirt, and pulled Luffy in just before the attack struck him. "Close call." Kirito thought to himself, seeing Luffy get to his hands and knees at his side. Kirito turned to Robin, "Nice save!" He said in his mind, giving her a thumbs up. Robin smiled and nodded in response.
The Kurt Zisa still spinning, going back towards them horizontally again, this time aiming for Robin and Yui. Just as it came close, however, a cannonball struck the Heartless dead on, redirecting its' path, and causing it to spin past Robin and Yui. On the Going Merry, Ussop was at the cannon, surprised he made his mark at first, then he laughed with his foot on top of the cannon.
"Hah hah! Did you see that?! No one dares hurt the comrades of the brave Captain Ussop!" he gloated. "Nah, you just got lucky." Zoro muttered, to which Ussop angrily yelled at him for being wrong. "Hey, where's Sanji?" Nami asked, looking around the top of the ship.
The heroes were back on their feet again when the Kurt Zisa was coming around for a fourth time, this time in a vertical spin. It was about to reach them when Sanji was just right above it. "Épaule Shot!" he shouted, slamming a heavy ax kick onto the shoulder of the Heartless, driving it into the ground and making it stop its' spinning. "How dare you target such a beautiful woman and child like that." Sanji growled, indicating Robin and Yui, "I'll make sure to beat some manners into you!"
Sora, Kirito and Luffy charged in once more, and while Kirito and Sanji targeted one of the orbs it carried, Luffy and Sora targeted the other one. "Armée de L'Air Hylian Shoot!" shouted Sanji as Kirito jumped onto Sanji's foot, and he launched Kirito at the orb, his Keyblade at the ready. At the same time, Sora readied a double slash while Luffy unleashed his Gum-Gum Bazooka. The two paired attacks made contact with both orbs, and shattered the orbs, causing the Heartless to become dazed, and for the heroes to talk again.
"It's time for me to introduce my newest Soul Drive to my friends." Asuna declared as she stood alongside Vivi and Robin, "Fluer Soul!" Asuna's body bursted with energy, and she entered the cutscene as she transformed into her new Soul Drive once more. She twisted her left arm around, and multiple hands produced along her arm. "I'll unlock the true history with my Keyblade!" she said, holding her pose as she smiled.
Everyone else saw Asuna in her new form. "Flour Soul?" Goofy asked stupidly. "It's pronounced Fluer Soul." Yui corrected him. Donald gasped in amazement. "So it was Robin that gave her the new Soul Drive." Sora realized. She actually look good in black. thought Kirito, admiring Asuna's new attire. "Wow! You look smoking hot, Asuna dear!" said the heart-eyed chef. " Luffy was too busy teaching attacking the cobra head of the Heartless.
"Robin, let's hold down this python." Asuna suggested. They nodded to one another and crossed their arms. "Veinte Fluer!" cried the two women. They sprouted four arms each in between each arm, grabbing hold of the others hand and gripping tight. Then the last four arms they each had were clasped around its' feet, binding them to the ground. They were preventing it to move its arms and feet as the Kurt Zisa recovered from its' dazed state.
Since the pattern was that it would float off the ground before conjuring its' anti-physical barrier, it was unable to move and started struggling. The two girls were feeling the strain in their arms as they tried holding it in place. "I don't know how much longer we can hold it." Asuna moaned, "Guys! Finish the job!" "RIGHT!" cried the rest of the group, and they charged in with all the attacks they got.
Donald unleashed Thunder. Goofy threw his shield. Yui unleashed her Whirlwind. Sora sent a 'Red Spiral' Finisher from above. Kirito unleashed his 'Skyward Storm' Finisher. Vivi launched her Peacock String Slashers forward. Sanji used his Anti-Manner Kick Course. Luffy used his Gum-Gum Gatling.
All eight attacks struck the Kurt Zisa at once, damaging it beyond belief, and making it soar high into the air, unable to move. Robin and Asuna unfolded her arms, and everyone watched the Heartless fall to the ground, the crystalized heart leaving its' body as it vanished before their eyes. It was all over.
Chapter 7: Keyhole of Dreams
The Going Merry docked itself along the shore of the harbor. Sanji joined the others on the ship as they stared down at the group, those in their Soul Drives back to normal. Carue and Eyelash came out of hiding, joining the others.
"So are you still gonna keep your word, and let me join the crew?" Robin asked Luffy. "Of course!" Luffy replied, "I'd said you can join, so you'll join." "LUFFY!" cried all of the other Straw Hats, excluding Chopper. Sanji was the only one of those who was thankful to have her on board.
"What about you, Vivi?" Asuna asked her. "Yeah, c'mon, Vivi!" begged Luffy, "You should join us!" Vivi shook her head at this. "Sorry, but I can't go with you." Luffy and the other Straw Hats looked disappointed at this. "Thank you so much for everything. I want to go on more adventures with you, but my duties as this land's princess come first. I hope you understand." "I see." Luffy understood, smiling at her.
"Guys, I see some ships coming our way." Kirito noticed, looking towards the direction where the Going Merry came from before. At least a half a dozen ships were rounding the corner of the island, heading towards them. They all had the words 'Marines' on their flags. "This is bad." Ussop moaned, "If we don't take off soon, those Marine ships will catch up with us!" "Not to mention if we stay with Vivi here too long, they might think she's one of us." Nami added, "We should hurry."
Vivi looked to Robin. "Mrs. All… I mean Robin. I hope we meet again someday, and hopefully as allies, and not enemies." "I'll be waiting for that day." Robin replied, walking over to the ladder to the ship, "Until then, take care of your kingdom, princess." And with that, she climbed aboard the Going Merry.
Luffy turned to Sora, Kirito and Asuna. "Hey, how 'bout you guys join my crew as well?" he asked them. "We'd love to, but…" Asuna started, turning to the boys. "There are still some things we have to accomplish." Sora told him, "And it is something only we can do." "But we hope to see you again someday." Kirito told him, looking up at all the Straw Hats, now including Robin. Luffy stared at the six heroes, finally saying, "I understand. Well, take care of yourselves!" And with that, Luffy stretched his arm to the railing of the ship, and pulled himself on board.
As the ship sailed away, Vivi started to cry. "I hope…" she started to call out through her tears, "That if we ever meet again, no matter how much time has passed, you'll still consider me a friend!" "Of course we…" Luffy started to say, but Nami slammed him into the ground, silencing him. It was for a good reason. If he responded verbally, the Marines would know she was friends with pirates, therefore considered a criminal.
The heroes looked to Vivi as she started to cry. For a while, they looked sympathetically at her. Then Goofy cried, "Hey look!", pointing towards the ship. They all looked and saw something. Besides Robin, all of the Straw Hats had their left arms raised, revealing the same X-mark on their arm. It took a second before the team recalled Vivi's words on them. It's not just a secret mark, however. It also is a sign of our friendship with them.
Vivi and Carue beamed at the sight, and raised their left arm or wing that had the X mark on it as well. The six heroes looked to one another, nodded in agreement, and despite not having the same X-mark, they raised their left arms as well, signaling their friendship with the Straw-Hats. Robin saw them do this, and waved her left hand up to them as well, signaling back their friendship.
Just then, Carue and Vivi started to glow brightly, and the trio turned to see this. At the same time, they also noticed, from a distance, the seven glowing lights of the Straw Hat Pirates as well. "This is quite the group." Kirito acknowledged as he, Sora and Asuna gathered together, their Keyblades ready.
Nine beams of light shot into the sky from their glowing bodies, forming a Keyhole. The Nine rings formed from Vivi, Carue, and the Straw Hats grew bigger as they moved underneath Sora, Asuna and Kirito's feet. They twirled their Keyblades around, directing them at the Keyhole. Their Keyblades shot a beam of light at it, locking it up and making a sparkling of lights shower down upon them. Then everything was normal once more.
As they fell, a new Keyblade Keychain floated down into Sora's hands. It was a silver-linked chain, with nine links in total, and it had the mark of the Straw hat Pirates at the end of it. "That's the 'Seafaring Thrill' Keyblade." Yui analyzed, "It has a strong offense to it, and it grants more chances of gaining munny and items." Sora pocketed the keychain, deciding to use it later.
As the sparkling lights fell, the team looked up at the sight, Vivi and Carue amazed at it. "This keyhole…it has a feeling of fulfillment." Asuna felt, "The feeling that although we might have different dreams, we help each other out, and make those dreams come true." "Even though Vivi and Carue won't join the Straw Hats, she does support their dreams." Yui pointed out, "And the fact that Robin is with them means she can have friends by her side, also supporting her dream."
"I know she'll find that history." said Goofy. "And I know Vivi will make this kingdom one of the greatest there are." Kirito added, looking at Vivi, who smiled with tears in her eyes as she watched the Straw Hats leave. Everyone on the shore heard Luffy shout, "Set sail!" And with that, they ran from the Marines.
"We should do the same." Asuna told the crew, who nodded in response. "Take care, Vivi, Carue and Eyelash." Sora told them. "Yeah, you too." Vivi responded, with Carue and Eyelash making their sounds in response as well. The six heroes walked away so they could find a secluded spot to teleport out.
Vivi got onto Carue's back, with Eyelash right next to them. "Let's go, Carue." she said, tying her hair back into a ponytail, "To Alubarna!" With that, Carue and Eyelash took off into the desert once more. Vivi thoughts trailed towards restoring her kingdom to its' full glory once more, bringing in the courage and strength to bind together the people as one, facing any challenge that came her way, and to continue fighting like the Straw Hats, and like Team Keybladers. And she knew that someday, she would see them all again.
Pretty cool, I hope. Asuna's Fluer Soul and now the Midna's Lament Keyblade are now on my DeviantArts page. I'll have the Seafaring Thrill Keyblade made eventually, once I figure out how to design it. Anyways, I hope all you One Piece fans are satisfied with this episode, including you 'kingdom cure'. As always, leave a review, tell your friends, and wait for the next episode.
