"KAI!"

"KAIDA!"

"WHERE ARE YOU KAI!?"

"KAI-KAI!"

Sakura sighed and looked around. Where is she? We've been at this for almost half and hour…

"KAI!" Syoaran stopped and looked over at Sakura. "Are you tired Princess?"

"No. I'm just worried. Do you think she's okay?"

"She had better be." Kurogane growled. "If not-." He left the threat hanging and looked around. "She couldn't be too far."

"Maybe she's asleep somewhere." Mokona supplied.

"Let's just keep looking." Sakura whispered trying to keep Kurogane from getting any angrier.

The group travel for a bit longer and were shocked when they heard noise coming from ahead. Kurogane and Syoaran drew their swords and Fye pulled Sakura behind him. They snuck forward silently and looked at the little clearing.

Kai was asleep in the middle of the clearing and she was surrounded by strangle little monkey creatures. They looked basically like monkeys only they had a two tails and big cat like ears.

"Oh! The feather is down there somewhere!" Mokona said, eyes going big.

"What are they doing?" Syoaran blinked, his curious side taking over as he watched the strange monkeys.

"I don't care." Kurogane growled. "Let's just go save Kai, get the feather, and leave!"

"We don't know enough about these creatures. They might be able to attack us. We need to plan before we go down-." Syoaran was interrupted as he noticed Fye already half way down.

The monkeys stopped as Fye entered the clearing. They bunched together and stared at him. They were slightly larger than normal monkeys, they went up to Fye's waist.

"Hey!" Fye smiled. "You happen to have my friend over there. Can you give her back?"

"Kai belongs here. She is she." One said hoping to the front of the group. "She from the wall."

"She is She!" The rest of the monkeys repeated in awe.

"She? What are you talking about? What wall?" Syoaran asked jogging up next to Fye.

"The Wall! The Wall!" The crowd chanted.

"What wall?" Kurogane growled griping his sword tensely.

The crowd parted and the lead monkey pointed his tail at a huge stone wall. "The Wall."

Syoaran walked forward and the others followed. "It's a prophecy of some kind… These pictures tell some story…" He froze as he saw an image of a feather. "Can you tell us what this says?"

"Once upon a time we lived in peace with the Tren." He pointed to the image of a wolf like creature and a monkey. "Then one day a mystical feather dropped down from the sky. Both of our species recognized its power and started to battle for it. But when one of our kind reached it, they were overcome by its power and died shortly after. But every one of them kept yelling out 'She is coming! She is coming!' So both of our species has laid in wait for the she that was coming. We worked out that only she could take the feather and give its power to us."

"And you think Kai is the she?" Fye asked frowning.

"Yes! Yes! Kai must be the she! She must be!" The monkey hopped up and down excitedly. "And soon the feather's power will be ours and we will be able to claim the whole forest for our own!"

"Ours!" The crowd chanted.

"But what if Kai isn't the one you are waiting for?" Kurogane growled.

"Then she isn't and we will keep waiting."

"She'll die though!" Kurogane growled.

"So." The monkey shrugged.

Kurogane growled and swung his sword at the monkey. It jumped back and dodged. The others started chanting, "EHAH!"

"GET KAI!" Syoaran yelled grabbing Sakura's hand and dragging her back to safety, while fending off the monkeys that were now attacking.

The group rushed towards the outskirts of the clearing and away from the monkeys.

"Darn it!" Kurogane growled. "They still have her!"

"And they are going to sacrifice her to the feather." Mokona wined.
