Hey everyone!

So here is the last chapter that revisits the past and what brought Naomi to Japan. Hopefully you enjoy it:) I have non-Cannon and manga-Cannon plans for future chapter so I'm excited to move onto the new storyline where I can create whole new club escapades.

This chapter is a tad choppy, I know. I'm not entirely pleased with it since they are old work but with all the stories I have on the go I don't have the time to rewrite. Sadly this is a problem that I face for a good portion of my stories, since I usually write story chapters way ahead of time so I always have chapters in reserve for updating, then I grow in my writing and find little details to nitpick... anyway I really hope you enjoy!

Adoption

Naomi-15

Naomi accepted the call and her aunts face popped up on the screen.

"Naomi dear! Oh you have no idea how excited I am to hear from you! Did something happen to your grandfather and now your allowed to contact me and the boys again?"

Naomi tried to smile but her mouth trembled and she stopped trying.

"It's good to see you again auntie. No, grandfather isn't dead. I'm not under his control anymore though."

Her aunt furrowed her brows.

"Not under your grandfather's control anymore? Your parents let you break off from the family? Your father said that it would be over his dead body that he would watch his family implode because of your grandfather-"

Naomi watched silently as her aunt connected the dots between Naomi saying that there had been a family tragedy and Naomi suddenly not being under her grandfather's control.

"My sister..." She said in a choked whisper.

Suddenly the door behind her aunt burst open to reveal two identical boys Naomi's age. They were about to say something when they caught sight of Naomi on the screen. She saw them pause for a moment before clearly recognizing her.

"Cousin Naomi!"

Naomi gave a small smile and nodded.

"Hi Hikaru, hi Kaoru."

The boys grinned.

"Did your bastard of a grandfather finally let up on you and your family so your aloud to contact us?"

Naomi was about to answer when her attention was jerked back to her aunt who had made a choked noise.

"Tell me I'm wrong Naomi. Tell me that your mother isn't dead." Her aunt whispered.

Instantly the boys froze and stared at Naomi in shock as Naomi closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"Not just my mom. My dad and Jason to. There was a accident..."

Her aunt gave a choked sob and Naomi closed her eyes before forcing all the emotion that filled her into the back of her head before opening her eyes again. She watched as her aunt struggled to compose herself.

"Sweetie, did your grandfather kick you out? Is that why you aren't living with him?"

Naomi shook her head.

"No. I left. It's his fault their dead and there was no way I was subjecting myself to that hell when I had no reason to any longer. So I stood up in the middle of the funeral, told everyone what had happened, spit on his shoes and walked out. I own over half the company now and am running it from my foster home."

Her aunt stared at her in a mixture of shock and horror.

"Your living in a foster home?!"

Naomi nodded and her aunt began to shake her head violently.

"No. I left my sister behind to suffer under your grandfather because she refused to come with me. I won't let my niece suffer as well. I'm going to adopt you."

Naomi stared at the monitor in shock.

"What?!"

Her aunt gave a emphatic nod and Naomi looked up to her cousins who were giving slow grins at the idea.

"A sister and a toy all rolled into one! We're in!"

Naomi was silent. A chance to completely start over. No grandfather, no one knowing her past with her gang, a chance to just be a teen instead of running a crime syndicate.

But could she really leave behind the gang for the chance to have a fresh start away from her grandfather?

Yes.

But was it wise for her her to go live with people who barely knew her?

"Auntie, I would love to be adopted but this isn't the kind if decision you can make on spur of the moment. I'm not the easiest person in the world and I have more emotional baggage then you should have to deal with." Naomi said quietly.

Her aunt nodded and gave a soft smile.

"I know dear. I-I just don't want to pass up the chance to have my family back, or at least part of it back."

Naomi nodded.

"I understand."

It took two weeks to make the decision. Naomi wanted nothing more than to have a fresh start away from her grandfather, live her life without him messing it up.

Her aunts family were all for it, even her aunts mom even though she knew that Naomi would have some issues from her time with her grandfather.

Now Naomi needed to talk to her gang.

"Your leaving?!" They all shouted.

Naomi winced and nodded. There was a burst of voices as they shouted over each other to ask her why. Finally Naomi gave a shrill whistle, silencing them all.

"Enough. I'm leaving because for the first time in my life I have a chance at a normal family, with siblings that don't fight and resent me because my grandfather has poisoned them. I have a chance at a life free of my grandfathers grasp. I will miss you all more then I can tell you but this is something I need to do, for myself."

There was silence and the angry expression on several of their faces melted and she was engulfed in a group hug.

"Then we all wish you luck Neko. Keep in contact will ya?" Scarlet said with a smile.

Naomi nodded and hugged everyone goodbye before turning to Onyx. They were quiet for a moment before Onyx nodded and grabbed his jacket off the back of a chair.

"Let's go for a drive Neko-girl." He said.

They were quiet for several minutes as Onyx started the car and they drove away from the gang hideout.

"So your leaving."

"Yes."

"What about us?"

"There can't be a us anymore."

He was silent for a long time and Naomi watched him steadily.

"I figured. This breaking your heart?"

It was Naomi's turn to be silent.

"Yes, but not in the way your asking. It's breaking my heart to leave all of you behind. But not because I'm breaking up with you."

"Yeah?"

"I don't love you."

"I know. I don't love you either. I really like you, as a close friend that I would trust with my life and secrets, but I don't love you, at least not in that way."

Naomi leaned back with a long sigh.

"Yeah, that's how we ended up here. We love each other, but as friends. Nothing more."

"Do you regret there being a us?"

"No."

He smirked.

"Good. You were a pretty awesome girlfriend."

Naomi snorted.

"Gee, thanks."

Onyx laughed and Naomi joined in.

"We'll always be close. We had a connection." Onyx said quietly once they had stopped laughing.

"Yeah. Well, we never would have got together if their hadn't been attraction between us. I though you were hot, heck, I still think your hot."

Onyx's lips twitched and Naomi shot him a wicked little smirk.

"Helps that your a good kisser to."

Onyx gave a snort of laughter.

"Wow Naomi, you haven't flattered me this much in the entire time we were dating. Having second thoughts so soon?"

Naomi grinned.

"Not likely. Even if I did, my pride wouldn't allow me to voice them. You know that."

Onyx nodded.

"A prime example of why we aren't right together. If we truly loved each other we would push aside our pride and voice it."

Naomi nodded.

"Yeah."

They drove for about fifteen minutes in silence before he pulled up outside her foster home. Naomi undid her seatbelt and climbed out of the car, watching as Onyx did the same. They headed inside, waving to her foster mom before heading to her bedroom.

They stood just inside the doorway looking out over the room that was empty except for some boxes.

"So I guess this is goodbye."

Naomi turned to face him and nodded. He smiled and pulled her into a hug. She leaned her head against his jacket that smelled of smoke and metal.

"I'll miss you Neko-girl. You ever need to let off steam from stress in your new life my line is always open. And if you ever come back and decide that you'd be interested in going out again..."

Naomi leaned back and smiled up at him.

"I know. I'll miss having you around to hang with Onyx."

He shot her his trademark smirk before leaning down to brush his lips across hers before turning and swaggering out of her room. He sent a heart melting bad boy grin over his shoulder before leaving her house and peeling out of her driveway.

Naomi watched after him with a melancholy expression. She didn't love him but he was still a part of her life that meant a lot to her. She would miss the guy a lot.

Naomi sat in front of a computer screen staring intently at what was up on the screen as her fingers flew nimbly over the keyboard.

"Let's see what kind of dirt the Ootori company has on you grandfather." She murmured.

She shimmied past three different sets of firewalls and broke through the computer vault, accessing the Ootori files with a self satisfied smirk.

Then she began combing through his files carefully until she came across the one she wanted.

"Fujiwara. My, what a large file Ootori has on you. Whatever did you do?" Naomi muttered as she downloaded the file onto her computer and began to print it off.

Once downloading was done Naomi started leaving the Ootori database the same way she came in.

All of a sudden her screen flashed red and a chat box popped up on her screen.

"What the f-?!"

"Hacking and stealing files is against the law."

Naomi gritted her teeth and closed the chat window picking up the pace to repair as she went as she pulled her computer out of the database. Then the chat window popped up again.

"I know who you are Naomi Fujiwara, partial owner if Fujiwara Enterprises and black sheep of the family."

Naomi froze as she stared at the screen.

"What?! How did they know?! How did they find me?!"

"You are lucky that I saw what file you were going through and saw that it was the file on your grandfather. I know that your trying to do, your trying to ruin your grandfather. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't report you to the authorities."

Naomi took a long breath, her fingers hovering over the keyboard before she responded.

"Because if my grandfather is arrested for all the illegal things he's done I get full control of the company and you can only benefit from my grandfather no longer having any control over any of the Ootori assets. His goal is to take over every influential company in Japan and America right now, Ootori Group is near the top of his list."

She sent the message and waited edgily for a response.

"That's not enough."

Naomi growled.

"I will not pay any demands you give. I'd rather go to jail."

"I don't want your money. I want to make sure you won't put the Hitachiin's in danger when you come to Japan with your illegal activity."

Naomi stared at the screen with her jaw hanging agape before baring her teeth at the computer screen. This guy had just given her a valuable piece of information.

"Your going to regret challenging me." She hissed as she pulled out a second computer and piggybacked the signal onto her hacking computer before taking a back door and tracing the computer contacting her.

It took some work to make sure she was undetected but she got into the inside of the computer that was being used on the other side and sifted through the basic information available to her about this person.

When she got what she wanted she smirked and switched back over to her other computer.

"Don't worry Kyoya Ootori, fourth child and third son of the Ootori family, I have no intentions of continuing my hacking once I get to my new home. You can even keep a eye on me to make sure since I will be attending the same school as you."

There was a scary long pause after she sent her message before text popped up on her screen.

"Your good. I never even noticed your hacking my computer. It seems we are in agreement for the most part. However I'm not someone who is willing to simply trust a hacker to keep their word. So I have a ultimatum. You keep your word and I will not report catching you hacking our system. However you break your word and I will have you prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Naomi laughed.

"Very well, I'll abide by your rules."

"Good. A pleasure doing business with you Ms Fujiwara."

"The pleasure was all mine Mr Ootori."

The text box vanished from her screen and Naomi fully withdrew from the Ootori database before leaning back in her seat with a smirk.

It seemed that Japan would be more interesting than Naomi thought. She was certainly looking forward to meeting this Kyoya.
