Hello to all my readers, I am deeply sorry to inform you that I will no longer partake in the completing of this fanfic. I have just finished War For The Planet Of The Apes and it has moved me so much that I do not have the heart in continuing this story after learning what happened in the newest movie. I know I have left off at a cliff hanger and have left you all at a crucial moment within my story and I deeply regret to say that I will not finish it…
However in reconciliation, I will post brief summaries of what happens in the next few supposed chapters along with small "dialogues" or "sign languages" to spice things up. So here it goes…
Caesar and Nickles battle it out within Caesar's home. The other ape seems to have an advantage over Caesar until Rocket barges on in and battles with the other traitorous chimp. During the fight Rocket manages to knock Nickles off the balcony of Caesar's home, causing the renegade chimp to fall to his death as he landed upon the stones below instead of the soft mud like Blue-Eyes did. After witnessing the death of their leader the apes whom were following Nickles lower their weapons in surrender.
…
In the following morning Caesar, Rocket and the others assess the damages done to the colony before sending out a small troop to gather the rest of the apes that went into hiding. Numb from all that has happened a familiar call caused both Caesar and Rocket to turn around, seeing Maurice making his way towards them. The three greeted one another but something else caught Caesar's eyes, causing him to turn his head slightly to see two figures approaching him.
As the morning shone brighter and the figures finally came into focus, Caesar's eyes widened slightly. He watched as both his sons made their way towards him, the younger of the two supporting the elder. Once they got close enough the father and two sons stopped from each other and merely stared in silence.
"Father…" Blue Eyes finally breathes out.
Right after Blue Eyes says those words, Caesar quickly rushes in and enveloped both of his boys into his arms, holding them close and firm.
"I thought. I had. Lost you," Caesar responded, tears streaming down his red puffy eyes as he looked at Blue Eyes.
Blue Eyes merely smiled back tiredly at his father while Milo offered a toothy grin at the older apes.
A bit later the apes from the forest joins the rest of the colony and embraces their loved ones. The youngsters from Milo's and Rain's group separates off towards their family to rejoin them.
…
A lot of the ape traitors and followers of Nickles who attacked the colony decides to abandon the colony out of fear of what Caesar will do to them. The ones that had felt remorse at what they had done were grateful that Caesar had allowed them to stay, albeit under close watch from many of the others. Others felt that they didn't deserve to be allowed back into the colony and decided to leave on peaceful terms. One of these apes was Pimu whom was leading the large band of troops.
Before Pimu left, he turns his gaze back upon Caesar and the rest of the apes whom he once had called friends…
"For what it is worth Caesar… I am truly sorry," Pimu signed to his former king whom only stared down at him with a hardened glare.
"Where. Will you. Go?" Caesar simply asked.
Pimu instead merely took a deep breathe, stared up at the sky for a long moment before turning back towards his king.
"Somewhere far. Far. Away," Pimu responded before turning away from his king and lead the ape traitors southward.
Caesar and the rest of the apes only watched in silence as a few hundred of their kind left the colony, never ever to be seen again.
…
A few days passes, showing Blue Eyes sitting by the river who is then quietly joined by Xuě, whom perches right next to him.
"Ash," Blue Eyes suddenly spoke after a long quiet moment, causing the white furred female chimpanzee to glance up at him with a quizzical look. "That was his name… He was my friend… My brother. He died protecting me and protecting what my father believed in," Blue Eyes explained eyes still looking upwards at the sky before slowly glancing down at the white chimp at his side.
"Then he was good friend. And valuable brother," Xuě responded in a soft voice before placing her head upon Blue Eyes' shoulder, glad that he was finally opening up to her and was telling her what was wrong.
(Later that Evening)
Milo patiently waited outside of a large tent structure with a bowl of food in his hands, anxiously shuffling from one feet to the other. His green eyes glancing to and fro as apes slowly made their exit from the tent. Eventually one female emerged while taking off her mask ornaments, exhausted from all the patchwork she had to do from that day. Glancing up the female then noticed Milo eagerly staring at her while standing awkwardly with a plate of food. Offering the male a serene smile the female chimpanzee made her way towards him.
"That is a lot of food you have there, you will get pudgy if you eat all that," Cinder joked.
"Well… that is why I thought we should eat… Together?" Milo responded as he held the plate up towards the female.
"I think I like that," Cinder answered in a soft voice as she picked out two small fruits and placed one into Milo's mouth before eating hers.
Once the two found a secluded spot within the colony and ate silently with one another both Milo and Cinder stared at each other a long while with loving eyes before they both slowly placed their foreheads together.
…
A week passes on by and Rain stands at the foot of two bed of flowers deep within the woods. Maurice was kind enough to point out where they had buried his parents to him and he had decided to visit them. He didn't even know why he was here, all he knew was that he had so many questions that probably would never be answered. With a huff the young bonobo closed his eyes and tried to imagine what his real parents there beside him.
Suddenly Rain felt a presence to his left and gentle hands slowly wrapping their arms around him. Surprised by this the young bonobo opened his eyes and was quite surprised to see his adoptive mother, Ari, hugging him. Next thing he knew another pair of arms wrapped around him from his right and this time is was his sister Cinder whom leaned her head upon his shoulder. Followed by that they were all embrace by one strong outstretched arm that belonged to Rocket whom stared at the two bed of flowers before making eye contact with the young bonobo.
As Rain stared into the faces of his adoptive family he looked back slightly and noticed many others off in the distance, watching and patiently waiting. The others of course were the families of all of his friends, even Maurice whom patiently waited with the others. It was at this moment that something clicked in his mind. The answers that he had been looking for has been with him all along, acceptance, love, friends… and family were all there for him. It never waned or wavered but stood strong and proud even though everyone knew where he came from.
"We. Never. Meant to. Hurt you." a deep voice spoke up, causing Rain to look up towards Rocket.
"Know that we always. Love you. No matter who. You came from," Ari chimed in.
"Because. You are. Our son," Rocket finished causing Rain breathe to hitch a bit before tears started to stream down the younger male's eyes.
"I'm sorry," Rain whimpered as he quickly wrapped his arms around all of his family members whom in returned only held him tighter yet still.
And just as that as if a fog was lifted from the young bonobo's mind he felt more happier that he's ever felt before in the arms of his adoptive family whom he now knows, loved him dearly with every fiber of their being.
As Rocket held onto Rain, he glanced down at both Koba and Zira's burial mound. He will keep his promise and raise their son right. He will not allow their child to follow down the same destructive and dark path that Koba was mercilessly put through.
After a brief more spoken words Ari and Cinder had left the two males together. Rain stared up at Rocket for a long while before the older chimp placed their foreheads together.
"Father…" Rain whispered in a genuine voice.
"My… son," Rocket responded with a smile as he lifted his head away from the younger ape and placed one arm around Rain's shoulders.
"Lets go back home," Rocket gestured.
"Home," Rain repeated as the two made their way back to where all of their friends and family waited for them.
