Just to let you know, in chapter 5, Shintaro and Ayano were still in elementary school, so they're going back there.
"Ayano-nee, can you climb over the fence?" Kido asked while sitting on the rim of the fence as Kano and Seto jumping down on the other side of the "don't enter" fence.
"Uh-um..." Ayano played around with the rim of her skirt.
"Is something wrong, Ayano-nee?" Kano asked.
Kido sat there, thinking for a bit, then got a light-bulb. She jumped down to the same side that Kano and Seto were on.
"Ayano-nee, on the count of three, climb over the fence the fence as fast as you can," Kido said.
Seto and Kano looked at each other, clueless on what Kido was about to do on 3.
"1...!"
She puts a hand on the fence.
"2...!"
She puts a foot on the fence.
"3!"
Kido turns around quickly, raised both of her hands in a peace sign, and-
*DOUBLE-DOUBLE EYE STAB!*
"OOOOWWWW!"
Haruka stopped once he exited the market.
"What was that?" Haruka asked.
"OW! Kido! Why did you do that?!" Kano yelled while holding his eyes in pain as Ayano jumped down from the fence.
"I don't trust you," Kido huffed.
"Then why me too?" Seto sweated as he blinked his eyes in pain.
"You can read minds and by putting you in pain you won't read minds."
"You do know that I barely do it by will unless if I lose control right?!" Seto sweated more.
"No exception!" Kido stated as she walked ahead.
"That idiot is taking his time," Takane murmured as she got up.
"I'm gonna go check on him before he buys too many snacks," Takane says as she walks off.
"Ah! Lemme come too!" Momo said as she went after Takane.
*Ka-chack*
"Well, I guess it's just you and me then," Mary smiled at Hiyori but then realized Hiyori was in a somewhat grumpy mood.
"Hiyori?" Mary asked.
"Maybe I should go with them..." Hiyori murmurs.
"E-Eh?! You're leaving me too?!" Mary panicked.
"No! That's not the thing!" Hiyori said.
"It's just after the whole Hibiya incident I'm worried about them..." Hiyori murmurs.
Mary blinks a bit before sitting back.
"Me too, let's just watch the television for now..." Mary says as she gets the remote and turns on the television.
Ayano tried opening the door but it was locked as expected though.
"What should we do?" Seto asked.
"Guys, I got this," Kido said as she took a bobby pin from her hair and puts it in the keyhole and twists it around for a bit until it made a 'click' sound.
Kido suddenly stopped when she remembered about opening the door and seeing Shintaro.
"Kido...?" Ayano asked which made Kido snap back to reality.
"S-Sorry, zoned out for a bit..." Kido murmured as she opens the door while taking out her bobby pin.
The siblings walked around the empty hall until they found the classroom.
Ayano slid open the door and went inside followed by her siblings.
She walked around the small desks until she found Shintaro's desk which was in the back of the classroom.
"This it?" Kano asked.
"M-hm," Ayano pulled the desk open to see that the inside was flooded with a diversity of paper cranes.
Small ones, big one, normal ones, white ones, red ones, new ones, old ones even a couple of sticky notes that had no particular message on them, some of them even had random emoticons! \(OAO)/
The siblings stared at it with a few hair strands sticking up.
Was this what he did once he figured out how to fold a paper crane by unfolding mine?! Ayano gaped.
"Um... now what do we do...?" Seto murmured.
"Read the ones we can get to...?" Kido said, unsure if one day was even enough to read all of them.
"Uh... Ayano-nee...?" Kano turned to his sister only to see her like this: orz.
"Why Shintaro... why?!" Ayano murmured.
"Uh, we should probably start now if we want to get this done with," Seto sweated as he picked up a fairly old (paper slightly yellow and dusty) crane and unfolded it.
EH?! Seto sweated even more at the ":P" that Shintaro had put on the paper he unfolded.
Kano picked up a white one which seemed fairly new and unfolded it to see that it was just a folded up homework sheet that had the name Tateyama Ayano at the top with the score .05% at the corner of the paper.
Kano stared at the score in a dumbfounded way to see that his sister somehow got 1/20 of a score on her homework.
Kido unfolded a crane made out of red tissue paper to see that, well, there was nothing written on it.
". . . wut?"
