Christmas Part 2
Santana Pov
"Mami, Mami wake up it's Christmas!" I woke up to Spencer banging on the door shouting to wake us.
"One second Babygirl." I looked over at the clock as I pulled my self away from Britt who was already awake with a big smile on her face. I grabbed my bra quickly putting it on before slipping on a black tank top and some joggers, noticing that Britt had done the same whilst I walked over to the door making sure Britt was ready before unlocking it. It was half five, I knew I probably wouldn't need that alarm. I winked at Britt before pulling open the door to see my beyond excited daughter.
"Mami, it's Christmas." She shouted at me even though there was less than foot between us. I bent down slightly putting my hands under her arms as she moved closer to me with her arms out stretched helping me lift her on to my waist.
"It is baby, how about we go make some gingerbread pancakes and ring Abuela so she can come round and see you open all your presents from everyone and Santa."
"Okay Mami but Santa already brought me Magic and you Rizzoli so can we give it to someone who didn't get any presents."
"Well Santa must have thought you were extra good and that it's your first real Christmas so he wanted it to be extra special. But if you really wanna do something like that I'm sure we can got to one of the shelters and take some cookies or something." I smiled at her caring heart, after the life she had before me and the effect it had. I could only wish that the scars and memories would fade and that she would be able to keep her kindness.
"Please Mami." I kissed the top of her head turning to look at Brittany who was stood behind us in the bedroom doorway, she had a tear in her eye and a soft smile on her face I kissed her quickly before we walked to the kitchen.
"Babe can you ring my mom and let her know that we're awake and she can come over whenever?"
"Of course San, but are you sure she won't get upset if we wake her." She asked as she took my phone.
"I think she would be more upset if we didn't wake her and she missed her granddaughter's first Christmas." She nodded before walking out the kitchen.
I pulled out a chair for Spence to stand on whilst she helped before grabbing all the things I would need for breakfast and a few extra things for everything else I would be cooking other than the main dinner. Spencer stood waiting as I weighed out the flour and measured the milk so that she could add them to our mixing bowl before she mixed them.
Britt walked back in the kitchen just as we finished making the batter.
"Your mom should be here in twenty minutes." She kissed my cheek before dipping her finger in the batter and poking the tip of Spencer's nose making her giggle. Britt grabbed the red and green M&Ms we bought for buttons and the bag of chocolate chips for the face, She poured them into bowls.
"So Spencer, have you seen the tree yet?" Brittany asked as she bent down feeding the cats.
She shook her head slowly as her eyes widened with realization of what the living room held. I giggled at her reaction before turning off the hob and turning to my daughter. I picked her back up leaving the pancake batter behind and walking into our living room. Our tree was surrounded by dozens of presents and our stockings were stuffed. Spencer wriggled to get out my hold so I put her down for her to stand in the middle of the room in awe.
I bent down and whispered in her ear ."Go have a look."
She slowly walked towards the pile of gifts looking at the different sized gifts and all the different papers in which they were wrapped. She turned back to look at me.
"Mami, What do we do now."
Britt was stood leaning on the door frame watching us so I motioned with my head for her to come join us, we crouched down on either side of Spencer.
"Well baby most people would open all their gifts as soon as they wake up but we were hoping if we could wait until Abuela get here, she doesn't want to miss seeing you open your presents, but how about we all open one gift now and then have some pancakes with Abuela.
"Does Abuela have presents?"
"Yeah sweetheart, she has some." She thought about it for a few seconds before nodding. "Okay well, go find a present with your name on it." I told her to do whilst Britt and I moved over to our two small piles taking off a present each before moving to sit in the middle of the carpet waiting for Spencer to join us. She came back to us pretty quickly with one of her smaller presents.
"Okay now we take it in turns to open our gifts." She nodded and waited for one of us to go first. I ended up going first and opened my gift to find a bottle of Paco Rabanne lady million from my brother. Spence opened a small plush of stitch and Brittany opened a framed picture of her and Spence I had got framed from Spence. We all smiled and were happy with what we opened, it may have only took a a few minutes but I knew I would never forget that moment.
"Okay lets put these on the couch to show Abuela when she gets here and we will go make our pancakes." Spencer put the gifts in a neat pile proud of her first Christmas gift.
My mother arrived just as I was finishing up on the 8th and last pancake, Britt and Spence had decorated them all and we had 2 to each plate. The knock on the door sent Spencer racing to the door with the taller blonde on her tail. I heard Spence tell her about the events of the last half hour and caught first hand her enthusiasm about Spencer's gift, and her pyjamas. Britt came to hold me from behind as my mother took a seat at the breakfast table beside Spencer, Spencer picked out her best two pancakes for her to eat while she decorated the new pancake Britt kissed my cheek before grabbing Spencer's 'helping chair for me to sit in while she grabbed the cinnamon coffee's and Spencer's orange juice. Spencer sat asking us about our childhood Christmas's and I haven't seen my Mami laugh and smile so much in a long time, she may have always worked long days and long hours but when it came to certain days and certain events she was always there, something I never took for granted.
"So mija what else did you get for Christmas?" My mother asked Spencer whilst side eyeing me.
"I dunno, we didn't open nothing else. Mami said we wait for you and we did." Spencer told my mother seriously before turning to me. "Mami can we go open presents now."
"Yeah baby we can. How about you, Britt and Abuela get ready in the living room and I'll just clean up in here quickly." I started stacking everyone's plates when Britt's hand was a top of mine stopping me.
"Baby, you guys go ahead and I'll do this." she took the plates off me kissing me quickly before starting on the washing up. "Oh and babe can you bring the cats in we still need to socialize Rizzoli and I'm meant to be keeping an eye on the two of them."
"Sure baby, just load them in the dish washer I'll have more to wash later." She nodded at me and I went and got the cats like she asked they weren't bothered about me moving them, Magic really didn't mind as soon as she was put on Spencer's lap.
"Spencer sweety, I'm gonna leave your gifts under the tree and put ours on piles on the couch so we can see everything you get. " I told Spencer who was content just stroking magic to hear her purr louder, giggling when she would push her head in to her hand. I just smiled and continued what I was doing placing three piles on the couch in our respective seats hoping that Spencer had taken in what she had said. I quickly checked behind the couch to where Spencer's bike was hidden thinking about when to tell her it was there I settled on it being her last present.
I let out a yawn as Brittany walked into the room instantly catching the contagious motion. She smiled as she sat down next to me on the couch whist my mother was sat in the closest single seat.
"Spencer sweetie are you ready to open your presents?"
"Yeah Mami but you go first."
"Sorry sweetie but you gotta go first it's the order the youngest always goes first." I smiled as she eagerly moved Magic gently off her knee before crawling to the tree picking up the closest gift to her. She pulled off the wrapping paper almost as slow as she did last night with her pyjamas, she opened it to find the Disney princess DVD collection that Brittany had bought her. I watched as her face lit up with happiness, I looked to the other two women in the room realizing we were all wearing the same happy content smile. I picked up Rizzoli who was a little scared of the wrapping paper so we sat close top my feet. she settled quickly on my lap.
"Mami, look what Britty got me." She called to me from her spot on the floor.
"Wow Baby that is so cool make sure you say thank you." She quickly put her gift down running the tiny distance to jump onto Britt's knee hugging her. I quickly put on the TV looking for the music channel knowing it would be playing Christmas songs all day. I turned it down so that it was just background noise.
"Thanks Britty." Brittany hugged her tighter.
"No problem Kiddo, lets see what else you got." She jumped of Britt's knee going back over to the tree to open more gifts.
The present opening went on like that with us opening our presents in between watching Spencer learn to rip the paper off faster, and discover all her new things. Britt and I got new clothes from my Mami which were exactly our style, Brittany also got her favorite perfume from my brother and we got books, DVDs and other small gifts in our stockings. My mother loved her photo album of Spencer and others, the winter coat I bought her, the scarf and gloves Brittany had gotten her. She also received a bottle of Chanel from Carlos. Brittany got new dance shoes, sports bra's and Itune's gift vouchers from her family. I opened an unexpected locket with a picture of Spencer inside that Brittany bought but Spencer picked out for me. We were all happy with what we got and more so watching Spencer open each of her gifts, her smile lit up the room, her hugs and thank yous made us giggle. It took a little over an hour for every present to be open.
Spencer was surrounded by stacks of books, DVDs, coloring gifts, a new dance leotard from Ivy with some glitter clips, lots of clothes and some plush toys. She seemed happy, she couldn't decide which she was going to play with first.
"Spencer sweetie you have one more present from Uncle Carlos."
"Really Mami, buts there's no presents left."
"I know it's not under the tree, it wouldn't fit but how about you come here and check behind the couch." She pushed herself up and skipped over to us, she used mine and Britt's knees to push herself up on to the couch peering over the back. She let out a happy squeal when she saw her bike.
"Mami can we go ride and can you teach me how." she begged me whilst jumping up and down.
"Not today baby and I think Uncle Carlos wants to be the one to teach you." Her bottom lip jutted out as I told her. "How about if it's alright outside tomorrow we can all go to the park and you can ride your bike."
Her smile returned straight away before she jumped down and tried to get behind the couch.
"Hold up sweety, Britt will get it out in a little while after we've tidied up a little." She tried to pout but I was slowly becoming immune. Brittany and I quickly grabbed all the wrapping paper shoving it in a bag to put in the garbage later whilst Spence and my mom started reading one of her new books.
Britt and I went to the kitchen where I put the already prepared turkey in the oven and started on the rice krispie marshmallow bites, Britt just held me softly from behind keeping me calm as my head was already scattered about getting things done on time with enough time to keep Spencer involved. I ended up preparing twice the amount of bites, that I turned green, I added a few red M&Ms after stacking them into a tree style build covering one with clingfilm to take to one of the shelters like Spencer wanted. I carried the other stack into the front room.
We spent the next couple of hours watching Christmas films and getting dressed to look nice for Christmas day. The films were slightly disturbed with my mom and me slipping off into the kitchen every now and then to deal with preparing the trimmings and extra's that would be on our Christmas table. I had decided to make a chocolate cake with chocolate custard rather than a traditional Christmas pud as none of us were really a big fan of it, but I wouldn't be making the batter until after dinner. My mom had showed me how to make the perfect pigs in blankets and how to make her stuffing. It was almost twelve and everything was cooking perfectly to be eaten at half past, Carlos had text telling us he would be here after five and to save him a plate of which we would definitely doing. I had made extra of almost everything even with having 6 people eating there would have been left overs but with the intention of giving just the left overs to a shelter didn't sit right.
"Babe can you come here for a sec?" I called Britt into the kitchen, I heard her feet shuffle against the carpet and onto the lino in the kitchen before I turned to face her.
"What's up?" She asked as she held me close making me release a breath I hadn't realized I had been holding in.
"Do you know any shelter's or food kitchens round here."
"I know a few shelters for women and children as well as two group homes for kids."
"Do you think any of them would mind us dropping some food off."
"I can call one of my friends who volunteers at one of the group homes."
"That would be great babe thanks." I kissed her, playing with her hair as I did. A knock on the door broke us out of our little bubble. "I'll get it, can you ring that friend.
" I kissed her cheek before walking past her leaving her in the kitchen whilst I opened the door to reveal Sally and Devon, wrapped up in scarfs and winter coats.
"Hey guys Merry Christmas come on in."
"Merry Christmas." They both told me as I stepped aside welcoming them in as they took of their coats, I hung them up before ushering them through to the living room where my mom and Spencer were sat with the cats. Spencer looked up at Devon smiling before asking her to come meet Magic. I laughed at my mom who seemed a little unsure on how to move the tiny kitten so she could get up and greet Sally, I walked over and picked up my little bundle of fluff. I left them alone for a few minutes to start cooking the last bit of veg. Britt was just getting off the phone as I washed my hands.
"So, my friend Nia who volunteers at the children's home about twenty minutes from here says they would love for us to come across, they were supposed to have a Christmas dinner but they didn't have the funding so right now they're eating sandwiches. No one even thought to contact them to give them help. What's worse is they don't even have the right to show up at a shelter or soup kitchen so it really hasn't been the best day." She sighed before continuing. "I know Carlos is meant to be coming around five but do you think he'd be alright if we picked him up after going to the shelter or your mum can stay here because that's when they normally have dinner and she doesn't want to ruin their routine but also said she doesn't wanna upset our day."
"Of course Britt, it could be just us three if you want and Carlos can just come over when he's finished work. I'm glad Spencer came up with this idea."
"Me too." She kissed me with so much emotion effectively pinning me against the kitchen bench, we only broke apart by Devon clearing her throat.
"Sally wanted to know if there was anything you wanted us to do, to help you guys before dinner."
"Yeah actually can you sit with Spencer and ask your sister and my mom if they wouldn't mind setting the table."
"Sure." She left the room. I grabbed the serving dishes and spoons whilst Brittany turned off the cooker and boiled the kettle. We moved in sync, draining off the veg and putting it in the correct bowls, she mashed the potato while I moved the turkey from the roasting dish to the carving board. We carried everything through to the dinning room carefully until the table was filled with a turkey, bowls of vegetables and trimmings along with our plates and glasses. I made two boats of gravy and covered all of the extra food whilst Britt asked everyone to move into the dinning room.
When I walked into the room everyone was sat almost drooling, the smell of the food as it floated through the apartment while it was cooking was amazing but now it was in front of us ready to eat, it was just mouth watering.
"Mami, do you wanna carve and let everyone plate up?" I asked as I handed her the carving utensils.
"So what does everyone want to drink? Champagne, Wine, Beer or non alcoholic?"
"Champagne."
"Champagne?" for my Mom and I nodded as she carved the turkey.
"Okay, Britt?"
"I'll have whatever you're having." I smiled before turning back to Sally.
"Before I ask her is she allowed alcohol, I have no issue giving it her but you are her legal guardian."
"I don't see why not, it's a special occasion but it's her choice." I looked at Devon waiting for her answer.
"Erm Champagne please." I nodded smiling.
"And Spencer honey what do you want to drink."
"Sprite please Mami." I kissed the top of her head before walking back into the kitchen with Britt who was grabbing five champagne flutes and I grabbed the bottle, as well as Spencer's can of Sprite. Britt placed all the glasses in front of everyone as I handed the bottle to my mother since she has the power to loosen and remove the cork without wasting a drop, I poured Spencer's drink in her glass and took the bottle from my mom to fill everyone's glasses.
Everyone's plate was full except mine by the time I sat back down, Britt had filled Spencer's plate for her. My mother was sat at the head of the table with Spencer and Brittany on one side of her and Devon and sally on the other whilst I was sat at the other end of the table. I quickly filled my plate with food as everyone was waiting for me.
"Hey guys, do you wanna do crackers now or after dinner." I looked around the table.
"Now I think." My mom answered. We had always done the crackers just before dinner, we always ate with our hats on and would sit at the table after eating doing the trivia/joke/charades card you get in crackers.
Everyone smiled picking up their cracker in their right hand and crossed their arms, everyone but Spencer. She was looking at us confused.
"Spencer sweety, you gotta pick up your cracker and do it like everyone is." She gingerly picked up her cracker and crossed her arms, she took a hold of Britt's cracker with her free hand and my mother held the other end of Spencer's. "Okay and then on the count of three you gotta pull hard." She nodded still confused about what was to happen.
"Spence sweetheart these are a little loud but there's nothing to worry about okay." Britt told her waiting for her to nod before we started the count down.
"One." Everyone got a tighter better grip.
"Two." The anticipation of winning the half of your cracker filled the room.
"Three."
BANG, POP, SNAP, RIP
Those sounds filled the room followed by a prize or two hitting the table and the smell of burning a match filled the table. Spencer ended up with both hers and Britt's crackers, and the rest of us held a half of a cracker containing a hat, gift and slip of paper. We all slipped a hat on, my mom got blue like Sally, Devon got purple, I got red and the two blondes got pink which made Spencer really happy.
I lifted up my Champagne glass. "Merry Christmas." We all toasted before digging into our dinner. We sat, we ate, we talked and we laughed. It was a little after one when we moved back into the living room.
"So does anyone want a drink?" I asked everyone.
"I'll have a glass of bucks fizz Mija." I nodded and looked at Sally and Devon.
"We will have the same if that's alright?"
"Absolutely."
"Spence?"
"I'm okay Mami." I smiled then looked at Britt she just shook her head but followed me into the kitchen. I hadn't moved anything from the table just yet, I made everyone their drinks and set to doing just that but going back to the kitchen Britt was already loading the dish washer with our plates.
"Babe I can do that I'm hosting."
"I know you can but you've got other things to do like make the cake I'm dying for, plus you cooked. Let me help you." she held eye contact as she leaned in only closing her eyes at the very last minute. I pulled my self away from my beautiful blonde to start making the cake, she left me to bake.
She grabbed all the bowls that contained food and the rest of the turkey there was more than half left, Brittany pulled out a 2 plates and carved up the rest of the turkey, she placed a portion on one of the plates along with a portion of all the veg and trimmings before wrapping it up with cling film. She then moved the half turkey she had carved onto a plate covering that too. Britt grabbed all the food container boxes I have filling them with all the left overs and the extras I had made there was more than enough for at least 30 children, Brittany wasn't sure how many kids lived at the home. She stacked the boxes and the plate of turkey on the bench ready to take later. I finished making the chocolate cake mix at the same time she finished up.
I knew the cake had about twenty minutes to half an hour to bake so I took Britt's hand pulling her into the front room where they were watching frozen. We sat on the floor against the small bit of wall next to the couch, I saw that Sally and Devon's gifts were still sat on the side so I nudged Britt's side motioning to them.
"Oh guys we forgot." Britt stood up and grabbed the gifts to give them. "These are for you."
"Thank you, you really didn't have to you've done enough." We just shrugged as they ripped open their gifts. We got Sally a new denim jacket and a twenty dollar gift voucher for a bookstore she loves and for Devon we got her a small Ipod nano, an iTunes gift card. They had been really nice people that had a little spot in our hearts, Sally may have fallen into our lives through a really bad situation but we were no different, we had all had bad situations and Devon may have found herself a situation where we just wanted to help.
They smiled widely with joy but Sally showed guilt, guilt for not having something to give in return. But when she look at her sister seeing a real smile there, it left and was replaced with a smile of relief, a smile that showed her that everything was gonna be alright.
I smiled kissing Britt's cheek and looked back towards the TV. After twenty or so minutes passed I left them to watch the TV whilst I went back to the kitchen. My cake was almost done when I checked it so I quickly went back to the living room.
"Guys I know Dinner was huge so do you guys want cake now or do you wanna wait another half an hour?" They all agreed to wait, so I went back to the kitchen to check on the cake for the final few minutes before I turned off the oven. Brittany followed me holding me from behind, I leaned my head back against her shoulder which was apparently a go ahead for her to start kissing down my neck, she nipped softly at my neck knowing that it made my knees buckle.
"Please Babe." I moaned she new what I needed, She moved my jumper to the side on my collarbone giving her enough access but still enough room that I could hide the hickey she was about to give me. I loved when she would hickey and mark me, I loved that it made me feel even more like I was hers. So here I was at her mercy as she bit down on my collar bone hard before her tongue came out to soothe the slight pain it caused before she sucked hard in the same spot, heat spread through my body as soon as she started, I crumbled into her embrace yet I pushed myself further into her touch. She released my now bruised skin kissing softly over it and kissed her way back up my neck to my ear.
"Babe, I think the cakes done." With that she pulled away from me going to the fridge to grab a Dr Pepper. I turned the oven off but left the cake inside hoping to keep it warm for later.
"Let's go back to the living room before I eat something that isn't cake." she whispered in my ear before pulling me with her, she took the spot on the floor and guided me in between her legs to sit for the rest of the film, not long after sitting Rizzoli stumbled across the room to my lap.
We ended up waiting until the film finished to have desert so I went to the kitchen while they decided on what to watch next. I was standing at the hob stirring the chocolate custard when my mom walked in.
"Mami what's up?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to tell you I'm proud of you. I'm proud of who you are, I'm proud of you for how you've taken on Spencer and I'm proud of you for today for giving me the feel of Christmas again."
"Mom you don't need to say anything."
"But I do, I know that we haven't the best things happen in the last five years and I know how hard it was for you but I just don't want you to blame yourself for anything that has happened I know I don't and neither does Carlos. I'm just so very proud to call you my daughter." My mother told me with tears in her eyes. I turned the hob down low and hugged my mom.
"I know Mami. Thank you." She wiped away the stray tear that managed to escape before grabbing seven desert bowls. I cut up the warm cake putting a bit in each bowl and poured a bit of custard on each, my mother and I carried them through to everyone who were now watching the Chronicles of Narnia. We sat watching that film while we enjoyed our dessert which was perfect.
I looked over at the clock when it finished and realized it was quite a long film as it was already half past four. "Babe can you take Spence to the loo we need to leave." She did as I asked helping Spence get ready to leave as I explained to the others what was going on.
"Hey guys we have to go somewhere, you're welcome to stay as long as you want."
"We wouldn't want to impose."
"You're not my mom is staying here anyway to wait for my brother, stay have a glass of wine or a bottle of beer just relax we shouldn't be more than an hour and a half."
"If you're sure, we don't mind."
"Honestly stay, talk with my mom gossip and be merry." She nodded and looked over at Devon who was on her phone.
"Mom we're going out for a bit Carlos is gonna be here soon his plate is in the kitchen, you know where everything is."
"Okay mija." I walked out the room to my bedroom quickly using the bathroom. I grabbed our coats as Brittany tried to find a way she could carry all the food. I took 5 boxes from her putting them back down and she did the same as put her coat on. Spencer had her coat on and was holding the Marshmallow tree, I ended up bagging the boxes and the turkey.
Brittany was right it did take us about twenty minutes to get to the home, it was a run down large house. We walked up to the door just before five and knocked. A young girl that was about Spencer's age opened the door.
"Hi sweetie, you're a bit young to be opening the door."
"Nu-uh I'm five." She told me with a bit of attitude.
"Well how about you go get and get an adult so we can come in."
"NIA!" She turned and shouted into the house. It didn't take long for a small middle age black woman to come to the door. Spencer hid behind my leg.
"Brittany hey, you guys are angels." She moved aside to let us in.
"Hey Nia actually it was little Spencer's idea." Nia looked down as Spence behind my leg, she bent down to her level.
"Well then, Spencer you are one special little angel." Spencer came out a little bit to Shake the hand Nia was offering. After a few pleasantries we walked into the kitchen area which was next to the dinning area, there must be at least twenty kids living here. We heat up the food which brought them all to the dinning area, it didn't take long until we were surrounded by hungry kids. We plated up twenty three plates for the kids here before we stood talking about why the home was in such a bad situation, this is why I was changing my major, to help change these things. The girl who opened the door was actually sweet she even let Spencer sit with her while she ate. We stayed for a little while watching all the kids demeanor change after eating, it was nice to see and it was nice to really start to see what I would be dealing with in the future.
My main reason for doing child law and family law will always be Spencer but she was one kid, one kid compared to the thousands that need help, kids that don't have the same luck as Spencer. I look at the younger kids and think that would have been Spencer f I didn't find her, I never want to think about what if I hadn't found her, where would I be, What about Britt and I but then I realize I don't need to think what if because it happened the right way, the way it was supposed to happen. It was one of those things where you think back and think it happened for a reason.
Looking at Nia and the work she does just volunteering shows how much needs to be done, no one should fall victim to the cracks in the system that they have no control over. We left a little before six, we needed to get back apparently this long day was starting to get to Spencer. we thanked Nia and told her we would be back. The kids all said thank you and goodbye as we left, I knew we would be back I wasn't sure when but I knew it would happen.
It was a quiet drive back to the apartment, Spencer managed to stay awake. When we home my mom was a little drunk and laughing with Sally and Carlos.
"Hey baby sis, Merry Christmas." He said walking over to me with a beer in his hand. He hugged me and then hugged Britt before crouching down to Spencer's level and opened his arms for Spence to run into.
"Hey little bug, I heard you and I are gonna go to the park with Abuela tomorrow and I'm gonna teach you to ride that bike. How cool is that."
"Super cool Uncle Carlos. Thank you for my bike I loves it."
"That's exactly what I wanted little bug. How about you show me all the other things you got while your Mami and Britt get a drink and take their coats off." I smiled at my brother who lifted her up over his shoulder and took her the living room.
"So does that mean we're gonna be alone tomorrow?" Britt asked me as she reached for two wine glasses.
"Yeah and I know exactly what I'm doing." I whispered to her.
"Oh yeah and what's that?" I poured the white wine into the glasses before whispering in her ear.
"You." With that I walked back to the living room.
I sat down on the floor watching everyone laughing, my brother and Dev both held a beer and my mom and sally were holding glasses of white wine. We ended up taking a few pictures to remember this Christmas. Spencer managed to stay awake until half seven when Carlos carried her to bed after she fell asleep in his. We ended up just talking and laughing, being merry for another hour or so before everyone left. Britt and I couldn't be bothered to clean up that was what tomorrow was for, we didn't even realize how tired we were until everyone left. We went to bed as soon as we said goodbye.
"Britt baby I have your gift if you want it now."
"I have yours." We both exchanged at the same time.
I gave Britt a spa membership that included 6 free full body massages along with 2 free facials and I also gave her a new watch.
She gave me two tickets to Shakira with VIP passes and a new leather jacket. I held her as we stood in the middle of the bedroom.
"Thank you." We both said at the same time causing us to laugh. I reached up and kissed her undressing her as I did, I pushed her against the door as I did and she moved her hand down to lock it. Once she was undressed except for her boxers she pushed me back undressing me just as I had done. She pushed us towards the bed after my shirt and bra hit the floor, I dropped on to the mattress and she proceeded to pull of my jeans before she slowed the kiss and got off me.
"I love you."
"I love you too beautiful."
We crawled into bed and cuddled, we slept that night again in just our boxers, a t shirt next to us on our side of the bed but we craved the skin contact. One thing for sure is, It was a good Christmas. A happy Christmas... A Christmas to remember.
