Author's Ramblings: Wow… I haven't updated since… August or September 2013 I think… will you all forgive me? Considering I'm continuing with the second part of this story I guess you can… Hopefully :D

When they returned home, Eun Soo started to get calls from the hospital.

Everyone had heard about her sudden marriage, and the weekend she spent away with her new husband, and for a while she thought it was to greet her and congratulate her… until emergency calls started to make their way through, and there were so many she could just say no to. So two days after their honeymoon Eun Soo had to leave the house for an emergency call; surgery was required.

Choi Young learned his way through the city by now; he walked every day, six o'clock in the morning, to practice for at least an hour, sometimes more if he knew Eun Soo wasn't home. Been the last week he was to spend with her for a while, only the fates knew how long it would take for him to return, Choi Young wanted to spend all the time possible with her; she also wanted to be with him, but those calls kept coming, and once she was in the hospital hours and hours would go by without sight of her. Choi Young had managed to finish his Hangeul lessons, his writing had improved a great deal and he continued to read to practice… but his thoughts were elsewhere. He'd been struggling with himself; all the decisions he's made and the effects, to drag Imja into marriage unsure if he'd ever come back.

"Don't be too hard on yourself," Said Tae Hyun, making Choi Young turn and place the tip of his sword against the boy's neck. "Alright then, go ahead and torture yourself. I won't bother you then." Tae Hyun's joke was not amusing, so Choi Young just lowered his weapon and stared at him in annoyance. With that ability of his, there was no way for the general to know when this kid would pop up, just waiting him out. Still Tae Hyun was capable of many wonderful things,

"When did you get here?"

"Oh, about a minute or so. I've been busy doing stuff, you know."

"I'm sure."

"I'm here to make some plans."

Choi Young sighed and lowered his sword. "Plans?"

"To get you to the right moment in time I'll have to cross the gate with you. So, when are we traveling?"

Choi Young stared at him for a bit and sighed, moving to gather his things. Tae Hyun pulled a bottle of water and handed it to him, while the man sat beside him.

"I was thinking this coming Sunday."

"Sure, that'll be great. What time?"

"Early morning."

"Why? You have to think of my beauty sleep." Choi Young considered hitting the man, but took a deep breath and didn't. The way the boy cowered slightly then laughed. "I was kidding, is Imja ready for your departure?"

"Yes, she took it better than I expected."

"She's been strong for your sake, she must be real sad about it, but I don't think you'll be gone that long anyway." The boy talked as if he were certain that Choi Young would be back in a few hours, but if the general was right, simply railing the WooDalChi, getting them ready for departure and simply getting to shore to fight off the Japanese riders Tae Hyun had talked about would take weeks if not months. With his luck he might be back in half a year, at the least.

"I think she is been too strong." Commented Choi Young, sitting beside Tae Hyun, who seemed curious about his words but didn't ask. Choi Young knew better; Eun Soo was suffering quietly, just as she had while they were in Goryeo. Soon there would be a breaking point for her and she won't be able to handle it if she were alone. It was the only reason Choi Young was glad both her parents and Hana were constantly around her, even if they were totally oblivious of his origins, they supported her fully. They trusted her to do the right thing, no matter what. He needed to trust her in the same way.

But he also wanted to be around her when this happened.

Tae Hyun smiled at him. "Imja is always too strong, that's normal. Don't be too strong yourself, one of your have got to be weak about this."

Choi Young turned to him amazed at how deep his advice was. "Do you usually say things like this?"

"No, this is a new one for me too." Choi Young had to chuckle at that, and actually padded the boy's shoulder. "You are growing up nicely, boy."

"I try. I really do."

.
.

"Did I tell you what the nurses are saying?"

Choi Young turned to look at her; Eun Soo had arrived late and was in the process of serving some of that dreaded soju into a small cup, Choi Young knew she liked to drink but he didn't want her drinking midweek, it wasn't good for her body to do so. Sure the woman could handle it, and after all it was a little alcohol, not the whole bottle, but still… she just came out of those dreadful pills that put her to sleep at odd times and he'd heard that mixing them with alcohol was dangerous…

"No, you have not."

"They said we got married because you knocked me up." She deadpanned, and swallowed her glass of processed wine (as she had explained). "They can't believe we simply love each other."

"Knocked you up?"

"That you got me pregnant."

"With child? Interesting."

"there's even talk that I had a natural abortion and that's why I had to take a sudden leave. Bastards."

"So?" He asked, without thinking, making her turn to him surprised.

"People think we don't love each other!" She cried out, pouting quickly afterwards. "They don't think I deserve such a handsome man, and they say you are too young for me! Why did you have to be younger?"

Choi Young smiled. "Imja, age is relative, is it not? I have lived more than you have, if you think about it. So I could be older than you."

"That's true, but they keep saying…"

"Since when do you care so much about what they say?" HE asked, Choi Young has never really cared about other's opinions, reason why he managed to kiss her in the middle of a crowded throne room, or why he dared touch her or address her in such personal matters from the very beginning… Crestfallen, Eun Soo just slammed the little clear glass on the counter, and looked down.

"I'm just stressed, that's all."

"Wife," Said Choi Young softly, making her look up at him; her eyes were full of tears and the pain she'd been hiding for a while now. "Come here," He coerced, extending his hand but remaining in place. Eun Soo hurried towards him, and landed against his chest, allowing her whole body to drop over his, not carrying if she was too brisk. Her arms tightened around her husband, and Choi Young kissed the top of her head. "Imja," He whispered, kissing her hair again. "My sweet Imja."

"Why do you have to go?"

"I am not sure myself."

"Liar, you are just saying that so I don't worry." She said and closed her eyes, hiding against him.

"It could be." She whined softly, and hid further against his neck, while his hand wrapped around the back of her head, holding her tenderly. "It could also be that I am not sure myself.

She sighed, and closed her eyes, "There are very important things Choi Young has to do so history can take place, there are battles to be won and all that…" The man remained silent. "But right now I wish we could have a huge fight so you could just leave and let me be. I don't want to miss you too badly and I want to think I hope he comes back soon so I can give him a piece of my mind… But I don't want you gone, not one bit."

Choi Young couldn't answer, so he simply took a deep breath and held her close.

.
.

"I already told you, Imja. No white."

"No white. Have you tried it on? It's so expensive and I bought it for you."

"I didn't tell you to."

"Yah, is this to become our first fight? You wear this!"

"I will not!"

"You are been stubborn, you aren't in mourning anymore." She commented, moving towards the room with the white jacket, even when she found the perfect black slacks, undershirt and shoes… he refused to wear white. He followed, quietly, and watched her place the white coat in the closet, murmuring that he would wear it because she wanted him to. And she always got away with her way… He would probably wear it only because he was leaving the next morning and he wanted to make her happy; white wasn't a color for him, that was for sure.

It made him look too childish, for once. And it slimmed him down, and he hated looking thin. But also it was a personal thing; white was a pure color, something without sin or stained as he was.

He didn't deserve to wear white, never had.

"I will wear something else."

"No, I bought you this, you wear this."

"I will wear my uniform, it's elegant."

"That old thing? Forget it!" She announced, as if offended; Eun Soo was yet to find a dress for the evening and considering it was for tomorrow Choi young knew she would probably go into a scrambling search during the day. He was sure he would have to tag along, and approve to whatever dress she tried on… just like he did on their trip to the mall when they got back from the beach… "But if we do try a couple concept of Goryeo… we could bring real cheap presents and get away with it."

"What?"

"Oh, you know, rice cakes and probably some herbs… I did hear he suffers from back pains; I could make him a remedy. That would be cheap, since I already have the herbs home, instead of something more… I don't even know what we are bringing for gift."

"Let's just give him a piece of gold."

"What? No! We could get arrested for having such a precious artifact."

"The guy at the pawn shop was glad to have it."

"I bet he was; talking about pawn shops." She said, and moved to her wallet. "This morning, while you practiced, I got out of work and went to the bank." Choi Young sat on the bed, and looked up at her, blinking slowly like a cat, what for some reason had a weird tornado of pooling emotions ravage her belly. He looked so… un-avertedly hot just sitting there, staring at her like a big lazy dangerous cat… yet so innocent.

"Why are you blushing?"

"Oh, nothing, anyway. I got that pack of money you had in your pocket and opened an account for you." She pulled a few documents from her handbag and a notebook like item, handing everything to him. "In the bankbook it's your ATM, and in the documents you need to sign," She sat by him, holding her bag against her belly. She showed him were to sign and how to use the small book. "I had to open the account under both our names, but I didn't get an ATM, it's your money." She said softly, making him turn to her.

"Whatever is mine, Imja, it's also yours."

"Well I know but… still money is money…"

"By now you should know that…"

"Money is but stones, I know. I just wanted you to have something to back you up…" She swallowed hard, "Should you need it."

Choi Young took her bag and placed it on the floor, the papers in hand he set on the night table nearby, and he pushed Eun Soo to lay down on her back. Her heartbeat skyrocketed, her breathing intensified, and for a second she thought she was going to go through one of those crazy lovemaking sessions… but he lay down next to her, and pulled her closer.

"Let's take a nap." He sighed, and attempted to snuggle but she shot up, sitting beside him.

"I don't want a nap!" She exclaimed, louder than necessary. Choi Young stared at her amused.

"What do you want to do?" He asked, curious, looking innocent and smiling.

"I want to…" She hesitated and blushed, pouting cutely. "I want to make love." She murmurs, hitting her little fist against his chest, while her other hand covered her smile.

"Imja." He said softly. "I come from a time when women think of lovemaking as disgusting. Have you any idea how blessed I feel when you actually want to make love?" She smiled broadly and finally fell beside him, hiding against his chest. "Am I embarrassing you?"

"No, you are too cute."

"You haven't been sleeping well, take a nap, when you wake up…"

"Will we make love?"

"We'll see."

"Yah," She whined, and he smiled, kissing her face. His hands sneaked around her and ticked her sides, making her squirm and laugh against him, murmuring he should stop. "Yah!" She said louder now, and lifted her hands to take hold of his face, kissing him back.
