In the spirit of Valentine's Day, here ya go! More to come don't worry guys!
Rapunzel held tight to her two Care Bears as she sat next to Jack on his bed, both watching a few YouTube videos under the light of his stars. She leaned into him and giggled as she watched all the animals acting very silly. He was just as giddy and had to really work hard not to completely lose it as he laughed. She liked seeing him this way; young and carefree. And even though she was ecstatic that she would get to move in with Miss Ana that spring, she would miss these times with Jack.
Jack had been so happy for her and even spun her around excitedly when he heard the news. But a part of her wondered if he too would miss her being in his home constantly or if he was actually glad to be rid of her. She had to kick that last thought or Miss Elsa would scold her for thinking like that…or at least tell her to tell that voice to shove it.
"Jack?" she asked softly as he looked for another video.
"Yeah?" he smiled, his teeth practically glinting from the light of the screen.
"Um…will it be weird…when I'm not here anymore?" she asked him.
He stared at her for a minute and then nodded, his gaze softening, "Yeah, it'll be weird. But…I'm just glad you aren't going so far away. If anything you'll be a couple of blocks away and we get to still go out and do things together."
She nodded and then looked back up at him, "Will…will you miss me not being here?"
"Yeah." He said quickly, nodding, "It'll be kind of spooky seeing your room empty and sneaking you in here to watch movies and stuff." He smiled.
"I'll miss it too." She admitted, "I'll miss North and Flynn, you and Max…even my room."
"Hey! We're dating!" Jack laughed, "You can still come over anytime you want! Besides, I'll need your help making some stuff for the Fourth of July party at Merida's."
She grinned up at him, looking hopeful, "Do…do you still think we'll…I mean do you…will we still be together then?"
He frowned for a fraction of a second before bringing back that confident look and nodded, "I hope so…and I plan on keeping you so…yeah!"
She smiled and relaxed, "I hope so too."
He wrapped his arm around her and had to look away before frowning again. What if something happened and Rapunzel didn't want him anymore? What if that room of hers was going to feel like a painful memory? What if something happened to her?
"Hey Jack?"
He turned, quickly putting on a smile for her.
"What happens on New Year's?"
He almost laughed. New Years was days away and it would be at Hiccup's house. Luckily, Hiccup had a really cool basement, all finished and with a huge TV and comfy couches. Not only that, his dad made sure there was a locked wine cellar hidden off of another room that held their laundry room. Jack loved going down there with Hiccup because it was actually a pretty epic room, filled with Viking memorabilia and his dad's college stuff. It was a total man cave and whenever Hiccup had parties, he'd have a huge sound system with lights. New Years was always a blast at his place; unfortunately Dagur usually attended because their fathers were good friends. Not only that but other people showed up that Jack and Hiccup weren't huge fans of. Normally Dagur wouldn't bother Jack but Rapunzel was going this year with them and he didn't want him bothering her in any way.
He was so lost in thought he almost forgot to answer Rapunzel and she stared at him expectantly. He rubbed his eyes and smiled apologetically at her, "Well...at Hiccup's, we just sort of hang out downstairs and dance or something…maybe play games. Anyways, around midnight we countdown and then watch the ball drop on TV and then people hug and sing or…you know kiss…" he started turning red wondering if maybe Rapunzel would want a New Year's kiss? What if she didn't and Dagur saw that? He turned to her and noticed she too was turning a shade of pink and looking away nervously but then looked back at him, "Have you ever had a New Year's kiss?" she asked shyly.
He shook his head and shrugged, "Never had a person to kiss."
"Me neither." She shrugged, "Of course…I've never celebrated New Year's or anything. But one time I turned on the TV and watched the ball drop. I used to think it was just a couple of people dropping a bouncy ball or something but then I realized it was just some disco ball!" she giggled.
Jack laughed and nodded, "To be honest I never really got the whole New Year's thing. But…I think there's a lot to look forward to this year."
"Like what?" she asked him.
"Well…you get a new home and…and I have you…" he smiled at her.
She nodded, "It is going to be pretty nice, isn't it?"
He nodded as well, "Best year ever."
"So much has happened…" she frowned a little, "I lost a lot but…I also got a lot too." She smiled sadly as she looked at her Care Bears.
"Which one is your favorite?" Jack smiled at her, still glad that he had successfully managed to hide the other five Care Bears for future holidays. He'd given her Wish Bear for Christmas and of course she almost always carried Funshine Bear around. For Valentine's Day he was saving the pink Love-a-lot Bear for her. He was hoping around that time they could get closer in their relationship. He knew she'd love it no matter what but he was hoping she'd see the deeper meaning behind it as well. He felt nervous and excited just thinking about it; of course that alone made him a little dizzy.
"I don't know…" she said in the most adorable voice, "I love them both!"
"Okay…when you watched the show which one did you like?" he asked her.
She pursed her lips a little in thought and then smiled as she seemed to go back in time remembering, "I really liked Grumpy Bear…but I also liked Cheer Bear too." She giggled.
"Seriously? You liked the grumpy one?" Jack laughed.
She continued giggling, "He had the most character!"
"True, kind of like the villain or something." He shrugged.
"But he was just misunderstood I think." She sighed.
"Aren't we all." Jack nodded.
She leaned into him, "Do you think my mother is just misunderstood?" Rapunzel asked aloud.
Jack stared at her and felt his own stomach drop, "No…I don't." he said tersely.
She looked at him nervously, noting his change of tone, "Y-you don't?"
"No…but then again, I'm biased against anyone that hurts you." He admitted.
"My trial will be soon." She said forlornly.
"I know." He sighed, "Try not to think about it, okay?" he smiled encouragingly.
"Will you…will you be there?"
"Do you want me to be there?" he asked her.
She seemed to think about it for a moment and then nodded, "I think I'd feel better if you were there."
He reached for her hand in the dark and entwined his fingers with hers and squeezed tight, "Then I'll be there. I promise." He whispered, closing his eyes as his forehead met her temple gently in the dark. He really wished she'd turn her head so he could kiss her, but she didn't. She seemed lost in thought as she stared at his computer screen and leaned into him.
"Thank you Jack." She whispered back, obviously holding back a sob.
He released her hand so he could wrap his arms around her instead and was glad she returned the hug and buried her face in his neck.
"I wish I'd known you years ago…" she mumbled into his neck.
He smiled sadly, "You may not have liked me then."
"Would you have liked me?" she asked, breaking from him and looking into his eyes.
He smiled, "Something tells me I would have fallen head over heels for you then too…only I may have been either a recluse or just a plain nuisance." He chuckled.
"I used to wish that someone would save me…like some sort of prince charming. That sounds so weak and pathetic I know but-"
"No it's not. I used to wish I could turn into a superhero and laser beam bullies and throw refrigerators on my parents." He laughed.
She smiled sadly, "That still sounds better than being some weakling waiting for some handsome guy on a horse to rescue her."
"Nah, that's just romantic." He shrugged, "And you aren't weak, you're anything but."
"Still…sometimes when I have nightmares…I dream that you save the day."
His chest nearly puffed out in pride he couldn't have been more excited, "Was I wearing a cape?" he asked her.
She finally laughed; a sound he always enjoyed no matter the time of day, "No…but you had on this leather jacket with spikes and you were riding a motorcycle…and you still had your piercings. You wore these crazy sunglasses and just sort of gave a mean look at the nightmares and next thing I know I'm riding behind you and-" she realized she was rambling to her boyfriend about the most random dream that really should have stayed personal until she saw his face; she'd evidently made his night.
"I knew I was meant to own a Harley!" he cheered excitedly, "What happened after that? Oh! Did I beat up the nightmares?"
She was stunned at how excited he was but couldn't hold back her smile as she nodded, "Sometimes you'd kick them to the curb and you'd sweep me off my feet…" she giggled, turning red, "And we'd ride off together. I looked so pretty too." She whined, her hand going to her hair self-consciously, "pretty enough to kiss at least." She muttered.
Before she could continue he grabbed her chin and brought her lips to his for the swiftest and most gentle kiss.
"Like right now?" he grinned.
Her eyes widened and she put her fingertips to her lips in shock…that was her first kiss! Was that all it was? Was there more? Whenever couples made out they took forever! But that was so fast and yet so…beautiful. She felt lighter than air and swore if Jack wasn't holding her she'd float away.
She stared at the blanket, everything a swirl of colors and her face heating up as she felt his eyes on her. Little did she know how much he stared at her for fear of her rejecting him and yet in elation for having kissed her for the first time and feeling as though he could conquer the world.
Her eyes finally met his, and damn, she just had to bite that beautifully pink bottom lip of hers. Was she doing that to taunt him?! He had to keep it together or he swore he'd just grab her face and kiss her senseless again. He nearly slapped himself for even thinking that!
He swore both of them were heaving breaths like they'd just run a mile. Rapunzel twiddled her fingers nervously before leaning up nervously. That was all he needed to lean down and capture her lips with his again.
She closed her eyes, this time determined to really savor this kiss. She'd heard of students actually bragging about how long they could keep a kiss going and she wondered if she could top it. All of that went out the window; however, as thoughts of Jack kissing her consumed her entire being. She felt his hands wrapped around her, heard him release a breath through his nose and felt herself open her mouth for a breath before she felt it.
He didn't know if he should even take the initiative but couldn't stop from tasting that bottom lip that always teased him unintentionally. He heard her gasp and broke from her quickly to stop himself from going too far.
She stared at him, her eyes gazing longingly with a hint of confusion.
"T-too fast?" he asked her quickly, really hoping she said no so he could continue.
She stared at him for a second as though asking him what to do.
"I…ca-what?" she gasped, not sure what to even say.
"We can go slower if you want…I mean…" he tried.
"I've never…done this before." She said, feeling like such a loser.
"It's okay!" he reassured her, "We'll go slow…um…if you don't want me to use tongue…gah! That sounds so weird now that I think about it." He muttered to himself.
"We can…can you…can you just…you know…um…lead or…you know…" she tried, "I just don't know what to do." She moaned.
He nodded, "Okay…uh…just let me know if you don't like something okay?"
She nodded, "Can we try again?"
"Yeah." He nodded, feeling winded already but so ready for more.
She waited for a moment and he seemed to be waiting as well, hesitating.
"I'm sorry if I'm a terrible kisser." She suddenly whispered.
"What? No!" Jack gasped, "No! Rapunzel…I'm just…" he suddenly laughed, "I don't think I've ever felt more…incredible! I can't even think straight right now!" he admitted.
"Me neither." She admitted shyly.
He put his hand around her head gently, bringing her to him. Before closing her eyes, visions of blue snowflakes filled her head as his crystal blue eyes seemed to invade her entire being. Everything in that moment was Jack; his eyes, his lips, his hands, his torso, his stars, his kindness…his love.
As his lips met hers again she seemed to block the entire world out to simply enjoy this moment and this moment alone; Jack was kissing her…and a third time too!
Each time seemed to get better and better and she had no idea that was even possible. Of course she saw couples make out almost daily and wondered if it ever got old. Now she knew something like this could never get old! It was the most amazing feeling in the world. Like driving downhill suddenly it tickled her belly and made her breath hitch.
He took his time with her, refusing to go any further for fear of scaring her, but he desperately wanted to taste her lips again! She smelled like lavender soap and she tasted like North's cookies; best combination in his eyes. And as he opened his eyes to catch glimpses of her the near sight made his breath hitch; she was so beautiful! It broke his heart that she truly thought she wasn't. Well he sure as hell wasn't letting her get away with that kind of thinking tonight or ever again, that was for sure!
His hands moved through strands of her silky hair and he felt her hands finally find his torso and move up to his shoulders and at last around his neck. He kept one hand in her hair while his other hand wrapped around her waist to bring her closer to him to sit on his lap. She obliged and continued kissing him and he finally took a chance once more to run his tongue along her bottom lip before breaking apart. As he did his eyes shot open when he felt her tongue meet his!
She wasn't deterred as they kept going, and neither was he. He closed his eyes again and let her take the initiative, curious as to the sudden boldness. He could hear her soft moaning through his mouth and yeah it made him hard but it also made him feel incredibly heroic. A vision of him riding a Harley and her arms wrapped around him as they rode together filled his imagination and he suddenly found himself realizing he needed a license now. He almost groaned in frustration if it weren't for the fact that she was still tasting his mouth and getting closer to him.
He had to wonder what was going on through her mind and if she hadn't at least observed how this sort of thing was done before.
Of course she'd only ever seen couples briefly kiss before shuffling away nervously, but the scent of Jack's shampoo and soap, his toothpaste and hot cocoa filling her senses before wanting to taste, to feel more. Nothing else seemed to matter as she did this and no weird voices filled her head twittering about how bad she was. It was simply her and Jack and the feeling was powerful!
She finally broke for air, panting heavily and wondering if she'd done okay when she saw his eyes gazing into hers with something she'd never seen before; a look she didn't quite recognize but had seen in many different ways. Her head was so fuzzy she didn't know if she could even figure it out and didn't really care if she did; she just liked it and that was all she cared about now.
"Jack…" she breathed, staring at him.
"Yeah?" he smiled softly.
"I believe you now." She smiled.
He stared at her curiously before she answered him.
"I feel like the most beautiful girl in the world."
He grinned and hugged her close as he lay down holding her, "I knew you'd come around."
"Would it be bad to ask if we could keep kissing?"
"I thought you'd never ask." He sighed happily as he brought her in once more before both fell asleep next to one another, for once not afraid of the surrounding darkness.
