Hello, everyone! Hope life's treating you guys well!

Okay, so one of my friends thinks that this story will be able to reach 100,000 words by the end. Anyone else think I can do it?

Thanks so much for all the reviews, they're my motivations to keep on writing.

Um, some parts are going to be a little crappier than others, so just bear with me. (Lack of imagination is all I can say.)

Yeah, I think that's it.

Disclaimer: I do not own Ninjago

(Jay's POV)

"A storm's brewing," Josh said, turning his head to look out the window. I followed his gaze, and sure enough, there was a large gathering of ominous dark gray clouds.

"Fun, fun, fun," I replied, a little sarcastically.

"Jay!" Someone suddenly yelled. Josh and I jumped, whirling around as Nya barged into the room.

Her ebony black eyes were blazing with anger as she stormed across the room. I instinctively began to back up until I felt the wall pressed firmly against my back. I glanced at Josh, but he was hiding under the blankets on his bunk, his eyes the only thing visible.

"Hey, Nya," I began, but she silenced me with a stinging slap across the cheek.

"What made you think that you could go into my room and start rummaging around in it!" she yelled. I was puzzled. I didn't go snooping around in her room.

"When did this happen?" Josh climbed out of his hiding place cautiously.

"Twelve minutes ago," she said. Josh and I exchanged puzzled looks.

"Nya," Yang began, "Jay has been here for the past twenty minutes. I know that because I have been here for the past twenty minutes as well." Nya looked suspiciously at me, then at him, and then back to me.

"What were you two doing in those twenty minutes?" she inquired in a voice that matched her facial expression exactly.

"We were talking about food," I answered, still confused at why she would accuse me of going through her room.

"Marshmallows," Josh said with a slight dreamy look on his face. I waved my hand at him, accompanying the motion with, "See?"

Nya paused, her ebony gaze flickering from the two of us back and forth. I could tell she didn't exactly believe me, but then she said, "Fine. But if I ever find out that it was you, expect a return payment from me." And with a disdainful sniff, she turned around and marched out the room, leaving Josh and I in a confused silence.

(Cole's POV)

I was lying on my back on the couch in the game room, my right arm thrown across my eyes and my head resting on the arm rest. My temples were pounding from a headache, even though I had taken a Tylenol one hour earlier. And I felt absolutely bored.

There was nothing to do, especially with my headache. I mean, yeah, we still have to learn how to do that elemental bending stuff, but frankly, at the current time being, I could care less about that. I could care less about everything in the state I was in.

I must have fell asleep, because whenever I sat up, the sun was setting, painting the sky with cotton candy pink, lavender purple, cream orange, pale yellow, and blood red.

I stood up, running a hand through my rapidly growing hair and bangs. Jordan hadn't shaved me (nor scalped me, thank goodness), but she did chop off the ends of my hair and completely destroyed my bangs. But they were coming back, and I'm happy about that.

Yawning, I wandered into the hallway, following my nose to the kitchen. It was Sam's night to cook, and I knew that because I could smell the savory chicken broth, mixed with rosemary and thyme, and the chunks of chicken she was using. I could also smell the delicious, mouthwatering smell of fresh bread rising.

"Have a nice catnap?" Sam asked, not turning her head to look over her shoulder as I walked into the kitchen. My answer? Another yawn.

"Taking that as a yes." She reached for the wooden spoon that was lying on the counter, dipping it into the pot and stirring slowly.

"So, why are you making chicken noodle soup, exactly?" I questioned her.

"It's a comfort food," she explained, this time turning her head to look at me. "And I think we need a little bit of comfort right now, don't you think? Oh, can you check the bread to see how much longer it has until it's ready to be pulled out?"

Since I was sitting next to the bread machine, I just turned my head to look down at it.

"One minute," I answered.

"Great! And the soup's done. Would you mind getting the bowls and spoons out, please?"

Since I was sitting in front of the cabinet that housed the bowls and plates, I just merely turned around and opened the cabinet door.

"Small, medium, or large, Sam?"

"Medium," she said, and the timer on the bread machine went off.

A loud, shrill noise filled the kitchen, and since my ear was next to it, I think I went slightly deaf.

"Dinner's going to be good tonight!" Sam said happily as she removed the steaming pan from the white rectangular machine.

"It sure is," I agreed. "And since it is cold outside, chicken noodle soup is the best thing for it! Plus homemade bread," I added after a second's hesitation.

Sam nodded before yelling. "Hey, guys! It's chow time!" A few seconds later we heard the thundering footsteps.

(Sam's POV)

"I love your soup, Sam!" Kai announced before spooning another large mouthful into his mouth.

"It was a common dinner at my place every winter," I said, "especially during middle and high school."

"Especially during the horrendous nightmares of eighth grade," Rachel added, "all the relationship drama, the viciousness of the girls in my class towards one another, the arrogance of the guys"-she glanced at the gathered males-"no offense to you guys, of course"-they all nodded at her to silently tell her that they weren't offended-"and then there was the brutality of bullying, not to mention the discomfort of being in a Co. Ed. P.E. class, and the fact that there were only eight girls including myself in that class, and then there was the awkwardness of all the stuff of-"

"We get it!" I said, interrupting Rachel's rant before it grew too uncomfortable. "Eighth grade was a living underworld for you. Well, news flash for you, Rachel, it was like that for me as well!"

"Eighth grade was fine for me," Josh said, "so why are you two making such a big fuss out of it?" I sighed and turned my head to look at the confused Life Ninja.

"Few women escape the gauntlet of the teenage years unscathed," I told him, "Rachel and I, however, were dealt a heavy blow with it." I turned my head to look at the Nature Kunoichi. "What names were you called?"

Her shoulders slumped forward, and she kept her gaze fixed on her bowl of soup. "Things I can't repeat." She suddenly got up and left.

As I watched her leave, I thought to myself, Rachel, you're not the only one. You're far from the only one.

(Rachel's POV)

I curled up under my sheets so that I was entirely covered, head to toe. I had changed into my PJs, but I wasn't that tired yet.

I tossed and turned, trying to find a suitable sleeping spot. I tried my right side, my left side, my back, my stomach. I tried having my head turned to the right while my body was facing left, and vice versa. Still no luck. I eventually gave up, and kicked my sheets back, suddenly hot. A few minutes later I was clawing them back up to cover me as I grew cold very rapidly. My frustration grew as my desire for sleep became stronger. Miserably, I told myself that I was in for a long, sleepless night.

It didn't exactly help with Jordan's door-rattling snoring (okay, so it's not quite that bad, but it's similar to a locomotive), and the hushed voices that Sam and Nya used as they were changing into their pajamas.

A lamp was turned off, and darkness immediately invaded the room.

I lay on my back with my hands tucked behind my head, staring up at the ceiling. (Jen slept underneath me, but since she had gone off, it was empty.)

Outside the wind blew gently, and masses of clouds blotted out the stars, while thin wisps danced in front of the cold November moon. It was only a faint, mere little scar in the dark sky of night; three days shy of a new moon.

I tried counting cute little bunny rabbits (I grew bored after two hundred thirty-seven), but that didn't work, so I tried singing myself to sleep, but that was a fail. Sighing, I rolled onto my left side, staring at the wall. I closed my eyes, and, surprisingly, I fell asleep.

(Jen's POV)

"Are you even trying?" Shard yelled at me as Mizu sent a huge jet of water at my direction.

"Of course I am!" I snapped, but then I got hit with a mini tsunami wave, knocking the breath out of me from the stinging cold of the water.

I was suddenly encased in a large ball of water, and hovering in midair. Furious, I felt a cold, tingling sensation in my fingers. I glanced down at my hands, and I noticed that they were turning a light ice blue color. Oh, great.

An explosion of ice caused the water ball to freeze, and lucky me, I was stuck in the middle of it.

Shard was laughing at my colossal fail, but then the ice holding me captive shattered as I released all the pent-up anger I had been holding in. His laughter changed into a loud yelp as I blasted him with icy winds, complete with sleet, snow, and ice.

He tried to run, but I caused an ice wall to rise up, blocking his path. I did the same on the other side, and I summoned a large piece of ice to be right in front of the Ice Dragon. Using the winds, I began pushing it back.

He started to change into his dragon form, but a five-foot diameter ball of water suddenly appeared over his head and landed on top of him. With him in shock, I made the water around his feet start to swirl, similar to a whirlpool, using the wind that was pushing the front ice wall back. But instead of the water going down, it went up.

The water was rapidly turning into ice that was threatening to cover Shard in a thick layer, and I could sense that he was beginning to panic. He may be the Ice Dragon, but he couldn't stop his own element from becoming his prison.

"Aren't you going to stop her?" he called to Kori and Mizu, who were looking quite interested at what was going on.

"Why should we?" Mizu asked, while Kori said, "Are you kidding? This is progress!"

I let the ice continue to crawl up Shard's body until it reached his collarbone.

"Laugh at me one more time," I threatened in a voice that was covered in a thick layer of ice (geez, I wonder why?), "and I will finish what I started." He nodded frantically at me, and he swallowed.

I slowly eased my hands down, the ice surrounding Shard melting and turning into steam, evaporating into the air, until he was left standing in sodden clothes that were plastered to his slightly built figure.

I looked at Mizu and Kori, and they nodded their approval. A flame of hope started in my heart, and I began to believe that I would be able to do this.

Yeah, bouncing around between POVs, but eh.

Q.T.:

1) Who do you think rummaged around Nya's room? (Which is also the Kunoichi's.)

2) Was this chapter terrible, crappy, bad, okay, good, excellent, awesome, or just downright fantastic? (I don't know how I should say it was.)

3) Was Jen's POV interesting?

4) Did I miss anything?

I know, this wasn't the most eventful chapter that I've written, but I'm working on it.

And I think that wraps this chapter up.

Remember to review, have a good week, and have a good day/night.
