Epilogue: The Reflection of the Past Now Lost

On a traveling world, one secluded off from all known life save for those who inhabit it, there exists a room filled with nothing but darkness and a series of panels spread across the ground. Each panel is sized differently to hold the specific thing placed atop it. Recently, the crystallized statue of Thanatos has been placed on it's own tile, the pose having the same look of confusion that he had when he lost to Phosphora a while ago.

Standing before this statue is a titanic man wearing an exoskeleton armor made entirely out of the same crystal material as the statues. His face cannot be seen behind his shadowed out king's helmet, and the bulk of his gauntlets and grieves suggested a muscular being existed behind the armor. As the man stood before the statue of Thanatos, he remarked in a deep but rather tired sounding voice "Yet another piece is within my grasp…The fragments are very numerous, but my patience is unlimited…"

The man lifts one hand up and clenches his fist tightly, the bones being heard cracking underneath the gauntlet before he says "Eventually…I will succeed…And the 'higher-ups' will pay for what they did to you…They and the Elemental Overlord shall know a wrath far stronger than any known universe!" The man then turned around, swinging out his arm and causing his tattered black cape to sway out before it centered behind him as he walked through this desolate room…

It was then that one could see that Thanatos was not alone in this chamber. Spread out across this seemingly endless expanse were hundreds, maybe thousands of crystallized statues, all of them having different shapes and sizes, but the common thread relating them all together could not be recognized from just a mere glance. But if one stood in this room, they'd sense something very familiar…And that would be the repugnant air of death itself…

To be continued…

Author's Note:

And with that, Part 4 is technically done with. The reason I say "technically" is because the main story is done and over with, all that remains is the epilogue story. But before we get to that, there's one other tale that needs to be dealt with.

Coming up next is the second Special of Clash of the Elements. Not movie, mind you, I decided to rename that after realizing how stupid it was to call a written story a "movie". So yeah, for the first time since the end of Part 1, there'll be a special. What section is this going to be posted under, you may ask?

Well in a complete turnabout from the usual norm, I'm posting this one under the Marvel Comics. Yes, you heard me right. I hate revealing that considering what's going to happen in the Special, but if I didn't mention this most of you wouldn't have a clue about the next part and when it would be posted, and it's honestly going to be pretty important for the overall story arc of the series so...

But I'm not starting that story until the 2nd of next month, since I need to wrap up a couple things first. But it won't be a long special...I estimate it will be done within the month unless I get majorly sick. So yeah, see you all then.
