Yugi and Joey set out early the next morning for Parrot Island, the trip was made easier since one of the merchant vessels was already making ready to head there. Yugi had attempted to let Atem know they were heading out but a brief look in on the ex navel captain had shown him dead to the world, apparently Ryo had to give him a sleeping tonic late into the night because his heart was to worried about his friends. Yugi had left him a note then had set off with Joey in tow, both wondering were to even begin to look for the White Dragon and his two fellow fugitives.

When they docked Yugi spoke quietly to the merchant letting him know the he needed to be ready to set sail at a moments notice since they had no idea how long it would take to find them, or what condition they would find them in. The merchant nodded gravely and sent his oldest son to drum up customers to come to the ship and by their wears.

"So, should we split up, it's just passed noon, and with all the people about it's possible that we would walk right passed them, but on the other hand I'm not sure what I'm looking for." Joey said thinking over the conundrum.

"Well the other two should be with Bakura, who looks striking close to Ryo, but harsher." Yugi explained and tried his best to give a description of Mahad and Mana as he remembered seeing them threw Atems eyes. "We'll go ahead and split up and meet back here in three hours hopefully well find them before that." Yugi decided before picking a random street and starting down it.

Yugi was making his way back to the docks just passed the three hours he had set as a time limit and as he had feared finding the trio was proving more difficult than he had thought. He had looked there every inn, shop and back ally it felt like, and talked to any people who he knew was on there side, even the children on the streets, leaving them a bit of coin to take to there families for the trouble. And still no luck, they had to be here otherwise the remaining option was a grim one, no they had to be here, Yugi refused the think otherwise. Atem would be devastated if something were to happen to them.

Running a hand threw his spiked locks, feeling a headache brewing in his temples, he caught sight of a startling pink skirt hidden under a brown cloak. Spinning around he stared and caught sight of the pink fabric again, of a shorted figure walking beside a much taller one also hooded in dark brown. Yugi dashed after them as they rounded a corner afraid of loosing them in the crowd again. As he rounded the corner he had to dodged several people heading in the opposite direction, but he kept his eyes on there location determined not to loose them. He raced around an abandoned stall into the back ally behind it only to have instinct pulling him down and into a forward roll as the sound of thick wood splintered against stone.

"Really glad I wasn't there." Yugi couldn't help but sat as he crouched on his hands and knees looking at the broken splinters of a rather thick board. A terrified face of a young girl peeked out from under her hood as she cowered behind her older brother, his eyes cold and determined to do anything to protect them. Yugi defiantly didn't want to be on the receiving end of his protective instinct and so he raised his hands in a non-threatening manner.

"I'm not your enemy, I've been searching for you all day." Yugi stated and watched as the girl gripped her brother's arm.

"Brother, I think he's

"Hush now." Her brother interrupted harshly but she fell silent. "Who are you?" He demanded.

"A friend, I'm known to most people as the Magician, but my name is Yugi, and I'm a friend of Atems." He said clearly but quietly glancing around to make sure there was no other that had overheard him.

"Prove it." Mahad stated, Yugi frowned how the hell was he supposed to prove he was who he said he was, he wasn't even sure what all Atem had told them about himself. Then it came to him, he distinctly remembered Atem telling him once in their conversations that he had told Mahad about there first meeting.

"Alright, but to do that I need to remove my coat." Yugi said and slowly began to slide the heavy material from his bare shoulders revealing his tattoos and the long scar on his arm. He turned slightly so they could see the extent of the mark. "Atem told you of our first meeting yes?"

Mahad studied the man in front of him, inclined to trust the man, Atem had indeed told him about there meeting and of the tattoo that had caught his eye that the man named Yugi had born, and the fact that they looked so alike wasn't something one could fake easily.

"Why are you here?" Mahad finally asked extending a little bit of trust out to this man.

"First where's The White Dragon, where's Bakura?" Yugi asked using both of the names the man was known by hopefully further proving his identity, but Mahad stayed silent.

"He's hurt." A hesitant voice finally said stepping forward a bit.

"Mana wasn't it?" Yugi asked and she nodded looking a bit surprised. "How badly is he hurt?"

"Bad enough, he's been running a fever the last two days, I fear there's infection." Mahad finally said, trusting his little sisters instincts, she wouldn't have given out that information if she wasn't willing to trust him. His little sister was no fool and she could read people well.

"Show me please, he can prove to you completely I am who I say I am." Yugi said and watched as Mahads blue eyes shifted with his thoughts but he finally nodded and gestured for him to follow. Yugi followed behind them down a few more allies into the very pits of the town where they ducked into a house filled with coughing and drugged men, who grinned at there passing and held out shaking hands for scraps. Yugi obliged even though he knew it would only go to fuel there next drug dose. Finally they ducked under a curtained alcove to a rather clean room where Bakura laid his face nearly the color of his hair. Glassy brown eyes opened and immediately landed on him.

"Y-Yugi? What on earth are you doing here?" He asked sitting up though he swayed.

"Finding you." Yugi replied and watched as those eyes focused finally on him and sharpen.

"Yugi, you have to help. Atem he's in trouble, its all my fault they found out and he tried to cover for me. But if Dartz gets his hands on his power- Yugi you have to-

"Easy Bakura." Yugi soothed pulling his water skin from his hit and uncapping it to give to the pirate who gulped it down greedily. "Atem is fine, at least he will be in a few more days. Why do you think I came looking for the three of you, he told me that you had fled here on his orders. But considering the condition he's in he wouldn't have been able to come even if he wanted to, so me and my first mate came to find you."

"You found him? How?" Bakura asked confused, it wouldn't have been possible that his captains arrest would have been announced.

"That's a bit of a longer story and much more complicated, one that can wait until were safely boarded on my ship headed for Purgatory. You need to be seen to." Yugi said already glancing around for a cloak to cover him with, Mana handed him one, which he tugged around the now shaking pirate. "Come on we need to get you guys out of here, guards will be patrolling more heavily the later it gets." Yugi said swinging an arm over his shoulders and pulling the other to his feet with him. Bakura grunted holding a hand to his side and placing a great amount of his weight on him. Mahad moved to take his other side but Yugi shook his head.

"No, don't we will appear less suspicious if I support him, one says drunk two says suspicious." Yugi replied then began to half carry half stagger back out onto the road he decided the most direct route to the docks would be for the best, but it was still a good half of the town away. They'd have to be careful.

Thankfully they met no resistance as they began to approach the warehouses that stored the goods there were loaded and unloaded, but the sun had already began it's decent and the shadows were creeping further, and the guard ever thicker.

"Almost there." Yugi whispered to the group Bakura was nearly passed out and sweating freely from the strain and the fever. Yugi gritted his teeth and moved faster nearly running into the dark figure the suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Well who we have here?" a gruff voice said as a dock guard walked forward.

"Forgive me sirrr." Yugi slurred drawing out the 'r' in sir as he swayed a bit more. "Just heading back to our cabins we are, a bit to much ale." Yugi giggled and ended it with a hiccup for good measure.

"Is that right, what about you two?" the guard asked of Mahad and Mana who were trying to stay quiet and unnoticed.

"Just fellow crew mates, our captain ordered all of us back on the ship before nightfall, and these two," Mahad said a bit annoyed and jabbed a thumb at Yugi and Bakura. "Decided to go get drunk at the last minuet, I should have just left them to face Captains wrath." He grouched. "Would of saved me the trouble."

"Aye, the wrath of a Captain can be harsh off ya go, quickly now." The guard gestured and the four of them moved off, breathing there sigh of relief only to have Yugi cursing again when another guard crashed into Bakura making them stagger back and his hood fall off.

"Hey! You lot that's the traitor!" the second guard yelled causing the others to converge on there spot. Yugi cursed again more foully this time, nothing could ever run smoothly, could it.

"Run!" Yugi shouted and drug his companion along as he made a break for it.

"Captain!" yelled a thankfully familiar voice, and Yugi changed direction accordingly tossing his burdens at his first mate as soon as he saw the sandy hair.

"Go!" Yugi yelled, Joey didn't hesitate scooping the slumping man over his shoulder he ran with the other two following behind him.

Yugi summoned up several fire balls and launched them at the where house he knew contained nothing but nets and old supplies that could be easily replaced, setting the whole place ablaze. He turned and followed after his friends not waiting to see how many would come after them with a building on fire.

At least a few gave pursuit he noticed and tossed two more small fireballs at the men making them dive for cover as Yugi wove his way threw the buildings and to the dock where the merchant vessel they had taken to get here was already floating out to sea. Yugi never slowed his stride as he leapt from the pier and into the fridged water his breath nearly freezing in his lungs, but he forced his body to move forward toward the ship until his hands felt the thickness of rope, sighing in relief he latched on and tugged on it. A second later he was being hauled threw the water and up onto the boat, standing Yugi sighed as Joey patted him on the back.

"Never can go easy can it?" Joey laughed.

"Never." Yugi agreed then looked to where Mahad and Mana were feeding some fever few herbs to Bakura who grimaced at the taste but took them. "Are you guys alright? "

"Yes, were fine. Thank you for coming for us." Mahad said smiling gently at the young man who had bravely came for them.

"You one of mine, and I never leave mine behind." Yugi said. Smiling at them.

"Atem you have Atem?" Bakura asked again.

"Yes, he's just fine-" Yugi gasped as pain ripped threw him forcing him to his knees and over onto his side as he clutched at his chest, his body convulsing. Somewhere several miles away Atem bolted up from sleep clutching at his own chest feeling the echo of the pain. He struggled up out of his bed stumbling as he made his way forward alerting several of the other house occupants.

"Yugi, oh god that was you!" Joey shouted anger and fear in his voice. As he knelt next to his idiot captain and tried to help him threw the pain.

"What, what wrong with him?" Mana's concerned voice asked as she watched the man Atem had talked about so often convulse before her.

"Magic Shock…again." Joey explained as Yugi finally stopped convulsing and merely laid passed out. "Idiot should have known it was to soon to use any magic." Joey groused irritably.
