"I can't believe you used to me blonde." Rachel exclaimed as she looked at the picture. It was Sunday afternoon and she, Brooke and Haley were sat in the living room looking though Haley's old photo albums

"Well believe it." Haley laughed.

"Who are they?" Brooke asked, holding a picture up to Haley.

"They're my brothers." Haley replied, "What?" she asked when she noticed Brooke staring at her.

"Uhh, why didn't you tell us your brothers were hot?"

"And twins?" Rachel said, leaning over to look at the picture.

"And I thought you had three brothers?" Brooke said, noticing there were only two in the picture.

"I do. They're the twins, Brian and Brody," she said, before showing them another pictures, "and that's Matt, he's the oldest."

"Oh he's so hot." Brooke said.

"Eww, can you not talk about my brothers like that!" she said, with a small laugh.

"Oh, please you and Nathan practically have sex in front of me." Rachel said, shivering with disgust.

"We do not!" Haley defended, trying to cover the blush that was rising.

"You kinda do." Brooke said, not looking up from the album.

Haley opened her mouth to say something but closed it quickly, "shut up." She scoffed, throwing a cushion at her friend.

"Where is Nathan anyway?" Brooke asked.

"In bed" Haley answered.

"Seriously? It's like 12 o'clock" Brooke said, checking her watch.

"I know."

"I'll go wake him." Rachel said eagerly standing up from the floor.

"Don't annoy him." Haley chided.

"Whatever, mom." Rachel mocked dodging the cushion Haley threw at her, "so violent, gosh." She laughed, running out the room.

"Knock. Knock" Rachel said softly as she opened the bedroom door, to see her brother lying on his chest and his arms under his pillow, "rise and shine butterfly." She said, walking more into the room.

"What?" he grunted burying his head deeper into the pillow.

"Wakey, wakey" she said, moving to stand next to his side of the bed.

"Go away. I'm sleeping." He mumbled sleepily, turning his head away from her.

"Nathan, it's like 12 o'clock in the afternoon, I don't even sleep this late, so up." She said.

He ignored her.

"Okay that does it." She huffed, her fingers curling around his comforter pulling it off him quickly.

He didn't even twitch.

Climbing onto his bed, she stood above him, a foot either side of him as she jumped up and down.

She let out a squeal when he quickly flipped onto his back, and grabbed her knee making her fall on the mattress next to him.

"Sleep." He mumbled after pulling the comforter back over the bed covering the both of them.

"Nathan you need to wake up." Rachel groaned in irritation when he pulled her close.

"Shush." He whispered, his arms tightening around her when she started to wriggle.

"Let go" she said sternly.

"Go to sleep."

"Are you mad at me?" she muttered in a quiet voice.

"What? Why would I be mad at you?" he asked confused, his body finally starting to wake up as he turned her to face him.

"That I agreed to go to dinner tonight with Dan?" she asked, avoiding eye contact.

"I kinda wish we didn't have to go" he said, noticing she looked up at him with sad eyes. She hated when he was mad at her, "but I understand why you did it."

"You do?"

"Well yeah. You obviously want answers and I'm fine with that."

"Are you sure? Because we don't have to go if you don't want to." She shrugged shyly.

"No. I want to go, well sort of… not really" he said, both of them laughing, "but I will go for you."

"Thank you, and we won't be alone because I kinda forced Haley into coming." She said with a laugh.

"I know she told me" Nathan chuckled.

"I was wondering if you could tell Cooper. I mean I would but I have plans with the guys." She said, patting his chest and jumping out of the bed.

"You're ditching me?" he asked, feigning shock and hurt as he placed a hand over his heart.

"Relax yah big girl." She smirked, "Be ready for 6. We're meeting him at that Italian Bistro on the river front." She said pressing a kiss to his cheek, "I love you."

"Are you really leaving me to tell Cooper? You know how angry he can get." Nathan shouted after her.

"You'll handle it." She shouted back as she made her way down the stairs.

"Oh come on." Tim shouted, throwing the controller to the floor.

"I win… again." Nathan smirked, "pay up." He said, holding his hand out as Tim handed him the 20 dollar bill, "sweet."

"Whatever." Tim pouted, "Stupid game." He mumbled, standing from the floor before sitting himself down on the couch sullenly.

"No you just suck at it." David laughed.

Before Tim could reply the sound of the front door opening before being slammed shut was heard.

"Stupid fucking boys." Was heard before the sound of an aggravated girlish scream and a crash emitted through the hall and into the living room.

"Whoa. Watch your language!" Nathan shouted, turning his head to watch to door.

"Relax, dad." Rachel snapped, storming into the living room and throwing herself heavily on the couch in between Tony and Tim.

"Hey, what's with the attitude?" he asked, turning to face her.

"Nuthin'" she mumbled.

"You and Finn fighting?" Clay asked.

"Something like that. Me, him, Jack, Caspar and Sam were over at his and then like half of the guys from the basketball team came over and it was like I wasn't even there."

"That just what some guys are like, little lady." Tony said from beside her.

"You haven't called me little lady since I was like 7." Rachel laughed.

"No I haven't, but it put a smile on that pretty face of yours." He smiled.

"Why don't you have a girlfriend yet?" she asked, "your so charming." She cooed, pinching one of his cheeks.

"And she aint so little anymore." Tim mumbled.

"Do you like being able to see, Tim." She asked turning to him.

"Well yeah. What sort of question is that?" he said with a scoff.

"Then I'd suggest you keep your eyes to yourself." She threatened, shooting glares to the other when they all laughed.

"Jeez, relax." Tim said, holding his hands up in surrender, "it was a compliment."

"And you're a pig." Rachel said, "Is Haley home? I need some girl advice you guys are terrible."

"She, Brooke, Peyton and Lauren are upstairs." Nathan answered, turning back around to the television.

"Great" she said, slapping her knee, "I'll see you boys later." She said standing up.

"See yah." They replied.

"Goodbye my little Lady." Tony winked.

"Bye my little stud muffin." She said, pinching his cheek walking past him, making her way out of the room and up the stairs.

"It's really weird that you all flirt with my sister." Nathan said.

"Relax; it's just a bit of fun." Tony shrugged.

"She so wants me." Tim said, "I don't know why you're laughing, Haley wants me too." Tim said turning to Nathan when he laughed.

"You wish." Nathan scoffed.

"I do wish." Tim replied with a goofy smile.

"So what time's this dinner with Dan?" Clay asked, moving to sit next to Nathan in front of the television and picking up the controller.

"6 o'clock." Nathan answered, pressing the buttons to start a new game.

"I take it you still need to tell, Cooper?"

"Tell me what?" The voice sounded through the room.

Nathan turned to see Cooper stood in the door.

"Uhh…"

"Tell me what, Nathan?" Cooper asked, his voice rising slightly at the sound of his nephews cautious voice.

"Uhh, why don't we go and talk in the kitchen?" Nathan asked rising to his feet and leading Cooper into the kitchen.

"So, what do you need to tell me?" Cooper asked, placing a hand on the counter and throwing his duffle bag on the counter.

"I'll tell you but you have to promise not to get angry."

"If you don't want me to get angry don't tell me something that's gonna make me angry."

"Right well, you're not gonna be happy with this-"

"Just get on with it" Cooper interrupted.

"Okay…"

"I hate boys." Rachel announced, walking into the bedroom.

"What happened?" Peyton asked.

"I was over at the twins house and then like half of the basketball team came round and it was as if I wasn't even there." She huffed out, flopping down on to the bed with anything but grace.

"That sucks." Haley said.

"I know. I just don't get why he acts like that around other guys, I mean he's fine when Caspar and Sam, but if anyone else from the team is there he acts like a complete…"

"Dick?" Haley filled in for her.

"Yes. He's such a pain in the ass." She huffed, with an aggravated scream after.

"But he's your pain in the ass?" Haley offered.

"How'd you know?" She asked turning to look at Haley who was stood by her dresser.

"Because your brothers my pain in the ass."

"But that's for a completely different reason." Brooke spoke.

"Brooke." Haley scolded, whipping her head round to glare at her.

"I think my ears are bleeding." Rachel said shaking her head.

"So what do you want for your birthday?" Haley asked.

"Subtle." Brooke coughed earing an elbow from Haley.

"I don't know. It's not like for another 4 weeks." She shrugged, sitting upright on the bed.

"You got anything for Finn? His birthday's in like 2 weeks isn't it?" Brooke asked.

"No. He has to be the hardest person to buy for." She groaned.

"What about Jack?"

"I've just bought him a load of video games."

"Just get Finn video games?"

"What so he can ignore me even more? No thanks."

"Just have sex with him." Brooke said nonchalantly.

"Brooke." Haley scolded again.

"What?" she replied innocently, "At least it's free."

"I'm sure his parents would love that when we're giving presents at the dinner table." Rachel quipped sarcastically.

"What the hell do you mean he came round?" a loud voice emitted up the stairs.

"I take it Cooper's home." Haley said.

Brooke shushed them before opening the bedroom door.

"What're you doing?" Peyton asked.

"I'm listening to what they're saying." Brooke said in a 'duh' type of tone.

Downstairs

"He came round Friday and I agreed to have dinner with him because I want answers and so does Rachel."

"So he just came by and you invited him to dinner? Why the hell would you do that?"

"Because we want answers and if this is the only way to do it then I don't really have a choice." Nathan said.

"And that's it you didn't do anything apart from agree to have dinner? Why didn't you beat the shit out of him?" Cooper shouted angrily.

"Because Nathan didn't agree to anything, it was me." Rachel said, walking into the kitchen to stand next to her brother.

"What?" Cooper said.

"He came around Friday while Nathan was still in work. He asked if he could talk with us and he wanted us to meet his fiancé so I said we'd have dinner with him."

"My God. Are you stupid?" Cooper shouted.

"Don't talk to her like that!" Nathan said, taking a step forward.

"Look, we" pointing between her and Nathan, "are going tonight. Haley's coming too, and I would like for you to be there but if not then leave… now. You came here because we need you but if you're not gonna be here for us then just leave."

"You're kicking me out?"

"No I'm giving you a choice."

"Then I guess my choice is made. I'm not going to stand around here while you let him get what he wants." Grabbing the bag off the counter before leaving.

"Are you okay?" Nathan asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm fine." Rachel said, shrugging his hand off before, making her way to her room.

Nathan threw his head back letting out a long sigh before walking into the living room to find the guys staring at him with sympathetic looks.

"Do you -"

"We should be going." Clay cut him off, knowing what Nathan was going to say.

"Yeah, we'll see you tomorrow." David said.

After saying his goodbyes Nathan made his way upstairs, stopping at his sister's door to hear nothing. He knocked lightly on the door; there was no answer so he opened the door to find her lying on her bed asleep.

Walking over to her bed, he picked up the throw that was over the end of her bed and gently placed it on her.

"I love you, little one." He whispered, placing a kiss to her forehead before tip toeing out of her room and closing the door gently behind him before making his way to his room.

Walking into the room he walked over to the bed before throwing himself down on his chest, ignoring everyone in the room.

"Hey." Haley said softly, climbing on to the bed and leaning into him, with one arm holding her up and the other running a hand through his hair and one leg thrown over him.

"Hi." He whispered turning his head to look at her, "did you hear everything?"

"Yep." Brooke answered.

Haley sent a warning glance at the brunette, mouthing 'leave' to her, Peyton and Lauren.

"Why do we have to leave?" Brooke asked, folding her arms.

"Because we do" Peyton answered, pushing the smaller girl out of the room and Lauren following.

"But we were there first" Brooke's voice travelled down the hall as she was pushed away.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Haley asked.

"I don't get how he could just walk out on us like that."

"I'm sure he has his reasons." Haley offered.

"I guess but you didn't see her face when he walked away. She looked so disappointed and hurt, everyone keeps walking away and turning their backs" he took a breath, "and I'm scared."

"Why?"

"I'm scared of how it's affecting her, she doesn't talk to anyone and she needs to."

"Then maybe you should talk to her."

"I try, but she shuts me out." He closed his eyes briefly.

"You need to break down her walls and you're the only one who can do that."

He turned on his side and hugged her too him, pressing a kiss at the top of his head.

"Can you promise me something?"

"Anything" Haley replied, craning her neck to look at him.

"Promise me you'll never leave us." He said, the vulnerability shining through his eyes.

"I'm not going anywhere, you're stuck with me. Both of you." She said, craning her neck more to kiss him.

"I love you." He whispered after breaking the kiss.

"I love you too."

Leaning up she kissed him again, this time longer. She let his tongue past her lips, she moaned at the contact.

Rolling over onto his back, he pulled her with him, settling her so she was straddling him. Not once breaking their kiss.

Nathan pulled away reluctantly to look at her. Her hair was slight messed up from his hands running through it and her lips plump and swollen from their kiss.

"You're it for me." He whispered hoarsely, his deep voice sending a shiver through her body.

Blushing, Haley ducked her head, tearing her eyes away from hers.

"I'm serious. Look at me," Nathan said; tilting her chin with his finger, "You're all I could ever want. I don't know how I lived before you."

She didn't speak, she didn't need too. Leaning forward she joined their lips again.

"Rachel?" she muttered against his lips.

"Asleep." He answered, rolling them over so he was on top of her. His eyes opening briefly to check the time, thankfully it was on 4 o'clock. Plenty of time- he thought.

Sliding her hands down his back, she pushed up his shirt, enjoying the contours of his it. Breaking away for half a second, he tore his shirt of his head, before re-joining their lips. Moaning when Haley wrapped her legs around his waist, causing him to press into her harder.

"I want you so much." Haley panted as he kissed his way down her neck.

"I always want you." His hand smoothed over the bare skin of her stomach under her t-shirt before inching it higher.

"Wait." Haley said, her hand catching his wrist before it could reach her breast.

"What?" He asked.

"Can you hear that?"

"I can't hear any-" he was cut off when she placed a finger over his lips, "okay, I heard that."

"What is it?"

"I have no idea." Nathan said, grudgingly climbing off her, following the sound of the noise and coming to a stop at his window, sliding it open he lent out on his forearms, surprised to see what he found.

"What the hell are you doing?" He shouted.

"What does it look like?"

"Seriously throwing pebbles at her bedroom window?" Nathan asked, starting to become more amused than annoyed at the sight of a fifteen year old throwing pebbles at his sister's bedroom window "Why didn't you just use the front door?"

"He's trying to be romantic." Jack shouted from the car laughing along with the other guys.

"Nobody asked you." Finn shouted back.

"What is with all this damn shouting?" Rachel said, appearing from her window.

"I think Romeo here has something to say to you." Nathan said with a chuckle.

"Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ignore you, it's just the guys came round and I got carried away I guess. I promise to spend more time with you. Just you." He promised.

"You know I have no problem with them. Some of them are my best friends. It's just you bring them everywhere." Rachel said.

"That's not true," he said pausing when she pointed over to the car, "Okay maybe that's a little true. But I really am sorry, I've been a dick lately and I know that and I'm sorry."

"You've said that already." Nathan pointed out.

"Get back in your room." Rachel shouted.

"You're not my mom." Nathan said with a scoff.

"I never said I was but this is none of your business."

"It is my business because I wanna know if my baby sister's being pushed around by some douchebag teenager."

"I'm still here." Finn said waving his hand.

"He's not a douchebag, you are and would you put a shirt on."

"I'm not a douchebag."

"Haley." Rachel shouted.

"Real mature." Nathan quipped with a smirk.

"What?" Haley shouted from the bed.

"Would you get your damn boyfriend in?"

Sighing, Haley got up from the bed she walked over to the window.

"Move." Haley said.

"What?" Nathan said.

"I said move." She said more sternly, "Thank you." She said after he moved unwillingly.

"Is that better?" Haley asked leaning out of the window.

"It is thank you." Rachel winked.

"Wow. Hello beautiful." One of the guys from the car shouted with a long whistle.

"Oh shut up Tyler. She's not interested." Rachel shouted at the dark haired teen.

"No need to get jealous baby." Tyler replied blowing her a kiss.

Ignoring him, she looked back down at Finn, "Why don't you come up for a bit? I've got that dinner at 6, but that's for another few hours."

"Sure I'll be up now." He winked.

Moving back into the bedroom and shutting the window, Haley turned around to find Nathan staring at her.

"What are you looking at?" she joked.

"What?" He asked coming out of his daze and his eyes returning to her face.

"I said what are you looking at." She repeated slowly.

"Well I was looking at your ass but you turned around." He said nonchalantly with a pout.

"You're such a perv." She shrieked, hitting his chest.

Nathan took a step forward and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her flushed against him.

"Well what do you expect when my extremely hot girlfriend, who has a serious ass…," taking a moment to pause while he cupped her ass for emphasise, "is bent over in front of me, wearing an iddy biddy, teeny weeny pair of shorts."

"Iddy biddy, teeny weeny. Seriously?" she asked with a giggle.

"Uh-huh." Nathan said nodding slowly.

"Well if they were iddy biddy, teeny weeny then I guess it's okay?" She asked, quirking an eyebrow in his direction.

"Most definitely." He smirked, leaning down to kiss her when a finger to his lips stopped him.

"Don't start something you won't be able to stop, Scott." She said slapping away his hands and moving around him.

"Tease." Nathan shouted after her as she left the room.

"You ready for this?" Nathan said looking down at his sister. Him, Haley and Rachel were currently stood outside of the restaurant.

"Not really." She said with a nervous laugh.

"We don't have to do this. We can turn around and walk away, it's up to you."

"No, I want answers and this is the only way to get them so let's go." She said stepping forward and opening the door to the restaurant, holding it for Nathan and Haley.

"Can you see him anywhere?" Rachel asked.

"He's over there." Haley said nudging her in the direction.

"Let's do this." Rachel said to Nathan.

"I'm glad you could make it." Dan said standing to greet them.

"There's nowhere else we'd rather be." Nathan said sarcasm lined in his tone.

"Great." Dan said, obviously not picking up on Nathan's sarcasm.

"Aren't you going to introduce me, honey?" said a sickeningly sweet voice.

"Oh right, of course. Nathan, Rachel this is my fiancé. Jules Chambers." Dan said, staring lovingly at his bride to be.

"It's nice to meet both of you." She smiled, holding her hand out to the two of them.

Starting to redraw her hand when she noticed neither of them were going to shake it, Haley stepped forward.

"It's nice to meet you." Haley smiled, shaking the older woman's hand sending a warning glance to Rachel and Nathan.

"It's nice to meet you too. I may sound awfully rude but who are you?" Jules asked.

"Oh right sorry. Haley James, I'm Nathan's girlfriend." Haley replied, letting go of the grip on Jules' hand.

"Well, I'm Dan Sco-"

"I know who you are. We've met briefly before, a few times actually."

"Right, of course." Dan said, "Why don't we take a seat?"

"Thank you." Haley said to Nathan as he pulled her chair out at the round table, not noticing Dan was watching with a proud smile.

"No problem" he winked.

"Sorry I'm late."

Turning around, Nathan noticed Cooper walking up to the table.

"Thank you." Rachel whispered as she wrapped an arm around him.

"Anything for you." He said kissing the top of her head.

"Cooper. How nice to see you again." Dan said with a forced smile of his face.

"I'd like to say the same about you but I can't." Cooper replied, earning an elbow to the ribs from Rachel who was sat next to him.

"I'm Jules. Dan's fiancé." Jules said holding her hand out.

"Cooper Lee. Nathan and Rachel's uncle." Cooper said smiling politely and shaking her hand.

"It's nice to meet you." She smiled.

"You too."

"So Rachel," Dan started, making the young girl look up from her gaze at the table cloth, "how's your arm doing?"

"Good," she nodded, "I should be getting my sling of tomorrow."

"Good, I'm glad you're doing well. So Nathan how are you doing?" Dan said turning his attention to his eldest child.

"Great," he said taking a nervous breath and then a sigh when Haley placed a hand on his knee under the table, "I've got a job at the high school. I'm the assistant basketball coach."

"Well, congratulations."

"Thank you."

"So Haley, do you work?" Dan asked.

"I'm a bartender at Tric, but that's just until I get a more stable job." Haley replied, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

"What is it that you'd like to do?" Jules asked.

"I'm not sure yet, but I'd like to maybe teach one day." She said with a small smile.

"That's great." Jules said.

"Hi and welcome to Giorgio's, my name's Perry and I will be your waiter for- oh hey Coach, hey Rachel." The waiter said, looking up from his notepad.

"Hey Perry, I didn't know you worked here."

"Yeah, I only started the other day. My mom made me get a job, something about needing to learn how to take care of myself because I'm a senior." He shrugged.

"Smart woman." Nathan chuckled.

"So can I start you off with any drinks?"

"We'll take two cola's, a vanilla milkshake and a cooper what about you?" Nathan asked.

"I'll have a beer." Cooper said.

"And one beer then please." Nathan said turning back to the teen.

"No problem. And for you sir?" Perry said turning to Dan.

"We'll take a bottle of your finest wine." Dan said.

"Red or white?"

"White."

"Okay. That's no problem I'll be back in a few minutes with your drinks." He smiled, before walking away.

"You not driving Dan?" Rachel asked.

"No, we took a cab here." Dan answered.

"Oh right."

"So how's school?" Dan asked.

"It's there." Rachel answered, "Anyway enough of that crap-"

"Rachel!" Nathan warned.

Ignoring his comment she carried on, "You wanted us here for a reason. Said you wanted to talk, so let's talk."

"Straight to it, I like it." He joked, "I just wanted the chance to apologise. For everything, I've been a terrible father, to the both of you. I'm sorry for not being there, but I want a second chance-"

"It's gonna take a lot more than an apology." Nathan said.

"I know which is why I want your sister to come and live with me and Jules in Arizona." Dan said, taking Jules' hand in his.

"What?" Nathan and Rachel shouted.
