I am still reeling from all the Outlaw Queen goodness we got last night. It inspired me to finish the next chapter. This is a transition chapter for the "Final Act". Not as much action and a little shorter than past chapters, just setting things up.
Hope you enjoy!
The sun shone through the window casting a light across Robin, illuminating the lion that was etched on his wrist. Regina's stomach fluttered at the image, her finger lightly grazed it. Her eyes traveled up to the face of the man that slept peacefully beside her and she smiled softly remembering the night before. He remembered. Her finger left the tattoo trailing up his arm and over his shoulder, caressing his cheek. She felt his cheek twitch and a slow smile graced his face. His eyes fluttered open as he softly hummed. "Good morning beautiful," he whispered, his eyes were full of love and they were directed at her. Her heart picked up pace from his look, her finger lingering over his dimple. God he was so handsome.
She leaned forward to meet his lips in a soft kiss. "Good morning," she breathed into his mouth as their kiss deepened. As they slowly parted, Robin's hand settled in her hair, his other sitting lightly on her bare hip. They laid there staring at one another, both in awe of the other.
After a moment Robin broke the silence, "Did you sleep well?" he asked softly, his finger twirling gently in her hair.
"What sleep?" she questioned dryly. Neither one of them had slept much that night, both of them involved in quite a different sort of….activity.
Robin laughed and shot her a cocky grin, "Ah yes, last night was a very memorable night," he told her, his voice taking on a deeper, sexier quality. "How about another encore?" he suggested. She felt a warmth travel through her as his hand slid from her hip to her behind pulling her closer to him. She felt his hardening arousal pulsate against her thigh.
Her blood began to pump more erratically, "Do you think you can handle it?" she purred.
He answered her by flipping himself on top of her, causing her to shriek in surprise, "Handling you is something I am always up for," he whispered seductively. She felt the tip of his arousal brush against her entrance, and her breath hitched in anticipation. He was taking far too long, she wanted him now. She sighed in frustration and dug her nails into his ass, urging him to give her what she wanted. "Patience, my love," he whispered.
"Patience was never one of my virtues," she gasped as his mouth feasted on her breast. He chuckled huskily at her words and finally he began to fill her. She arched her hips needing him deeper, faster. He moaned in pleasure at her antics, burying his face into the crook of her neck
"Papa?...Regina?" came a soft voice startling them both. Robin pulled out of Regina and rolled off of her as if he had been shot. Regina immediately pulled the sheets over herself, covering her naked form. They both looked upon the sweet, wide eyed face of Roland.
"What are you doing?" he asked innocently.
"Ah...we...um," she heard Robin stutter beside her, clearly having no clue what to say to his son.
Before he was able to stumble over more of his words the young boy continued. "Why are we at Regina's house?" he wondered.
She heard Robin sigh in relief at avoiding the previous topic and a smile broke out over his face, "I remember," he simply told his son.
Roland's eyes lite up at his father's words, "You remember?" he asked, his voice excited. "You remember the 'Chanted Forest."
"I do," Robin confirmed. It took Roland only seconds to reach his father, jumping onto the bed and wrapping his small arms around his father's neck. Robin returned the hug with equal fervor. Regina couldn't help the smile that formed on her face at the father and son reunion. Her heart rejoiced at seeing the smile on the young boy's face. A smile that had not been present for the last few long days.
Roland caught Regina's eyes with his own, still snuggled into his father's shoulder. "You remember too Regina?" he asked, his small voice hopeful. She smiled and nodded her head yes. His grin widened and he launched himself at her. She did her best to catch him while keeping the bed sheets wrapped around her. She let out a small laugh as he grabbed her cheeks and kissed her on the nose. "Today is the best day," he said.
"It is a great day," she agreed, glancing over at Robin, a smile on her face. Robin had an echoing smile on his face as he watched the two of them. Regina couldn't help herself as she buried her head into Roland's hair, smelling his boyish scent, outdoors and cinnamon, just like always. She had missed this, being with Robin and Roland.
She felt Robin get out of the bed and when she looked over he was dressed in his boxers. He reached out his arms towards his son, "Shall we go make Regina breakfast?" he asked him.
Roland nodded his head vigorously, "Yes! Can we use the bread machine?" he wondered.
"Of course," Robin told him. Roland jumped in his father's arms, excited.
Regina thought of her toaster and wondered briefly if Robin had ever used one before. "Perhaps it would be best if you waited for me to come down to lend you a hand," she told them.
"But it's for you Regina," Roland exclaimed.
"Exactly," Robin said, "How hard can it be?" he smiled mischievously at her, winking.
"Oh god," she groaned, thinking of the many disastrous results that could come forth from this mini adventure. Robin simply laughed. Before the two went any further, Roland had a question for his father, "Papa, why were you on top of Regina when I comed in the room?" he asked, still curious about earlier and clearly not having forgot. Regina had to stifle a laugh at Robin's horrified face directed at her. Instead of answering he threw his son over his shoulder, causing Roland to squeal in delight. He rolled his eyes and blew Regina a kiss, then proceeded down the hall with his boy allowing Regina to get dressed.
About twenty minutes later Regina finally came down stairs, freshly showered and dressed. She entered the kitchen to find it unharmed. Roland was sitting on the counter and Robin was standing close beside him, their heads were close together giggling about something. It warmed her heart to see the two so relaxed together again. She felt tears invade, she was just so incredibly happy that the three of them were together again. She cleared her throat, "I see that my kitchen still stands," she said, waltzing into the room.
Robin turned towards her, an easy smile lighting up his face. "Oh ye of little faith," he told her. As she reached his side, he wrapped an arm around her, pulling her to him gently, giving her a small kiss on the lips in greeting.
She looked at Roland sitting on the counter, a wide grin gracing his face as well. She held her arms out and he happily accepted her invitation. She wrapped her arms tightly around him, spinning him around, giving him a proper hug that she had been unable to do that morning. The young boy backed up slowly and leaned into whisper something to her, "Papa didn't know how to work the bread machine….and the bread was on fire," he exclaimed quietly. It was still loud enough for Robin to hear and he groaned softly.
"Oh really?" Regina drawled, raising her eyebrow in Robin's direction.
Robin come closer to them, "My boy," he exclaimed, "That was suppose to stay between you and I." His hands reached out to tickle his son causing him to laugh and squirm.
"I'll never keep secrets from Regina," he told his father earnestly.
"Good," Regina answered, rubbing her nose against Roland's.
"Yes, good," Robin agreed, wrapping his arms around the both of them, kissing Roland's head before finding Regina's lips. "We did still make breakfast," he told her indicating the cut up berries on the counter. "Berries I can do," he said with a grin.
"It's perfect," she told them snuggling in closer. It truly was perfect.
As the three sat eating the doorbell rang. "Are you expecting someone?" Robin asked. Regina couldn't remember and then it dawned on her…..Emma. The blonde and she had made plans to meet this morning.
"I'll be right back," she told them.
She opened the door to an impatient woman on the other side. "What took you so long?"she asked walking past Regina into the house.
"I forgot you were coming," she answered her, her own irritation rising slightly.
"Forgot I was coming?" Emma said, her voice high in disbelief. "You demanded that we should search for the Wicked Witch all night, it took some convincing for you to wait until now….and you forgot I was coming?" she said.
"Is everything alright in here?" Robin asked as he entered the room, concern in his blue eyes. He stood only in his boxers.
Emma stared at him, her mouth hanging slightly open, surprise written over every inch of her face. She was speechless.
Regina would have laughed if she didn't feel slightly uncomfortable. She still did not like people knowing her business and the picture in front of Emma now clearly read that Robin had spent the night.
"Ah, Emma this is Robin. Robin this is Emma," she said making the introduction.
Robin looked over at Regina, "Henry's….," he trailed off. Regina nodded her head to confirm his question. He immediately went to Emma, sticking his hand out, "It is a honour to officially meet you," he told her sincerely.
"Yes, you too," Emma said slowly, still finding the entire situation awkward.
Robin's eyes glanced around searching for the other person Regina had often, always, talked about. Her heart broke as his eyes found hers, his sadness for her clearly written on his features. Henry wasn't there, he may never be there. She cleared her throat to keep the tears at bay.
"You remember everything now," Emma asked. Robin nodded. "How?"
Robin smiled and glanced at Regina, "True loves kiss," he told the blonde, his eyes never leaving Regina.
Emma also looked at Regina, her eyes wide, shocked.
Regina coughed, slightly embarrassed.
Robin diverted the attention from her by clapping his hands once, "Roland and I will go get dressed, allow the two of you to talk. I will be back down in a few moments so we can discuss plans for the Wicked Witch," he told them. He walked passed Regina, his hand lightly grazing hers and once again she was overwhelmed with gratitude that he remembered.
"Wow," Emma stated, once Robin had left.
"Shut-up," Regina mumbled, not really wanting to hear the blonde's comments on her relationship.
"If someone had told me a year ago that you would fall in love with Robin Hood….I would have never believed it," she said, disbelief still in her voice.
"I don't need your opinions," Regina growled, becoming agitated and a little self conscious at Emma's bewilderment. Was she really so awful that Robin Hood was a fool to fall for her. She didn't want it to but Emma's opinion did matter to her.
"It makes sense," the blonde finally said, nodding her head, "Henry would be….ecstatic."
Regina felt some of the tension leave her body, "Do you think he would be happy with….this," she asked, unsure of herself. She always thought he would be but doubt often snuck up on her in the most unexpected times.
"Are you kidding me?" Emma exclaimed. "Robin Hood? Henry will be over the moon," she told her. Regina's heart beat quickened at Emma's use of the future tense when regarding Henry instead of the past tense. He will be, not he would have been. The thought of seeing her son again was overwhelming and much more realistic than it had been a year ago.
Robin arrived back downstairs and the three began discussing their next course of action regarding the Wicked Witch. They planned to meet in a half hour to go check out the bunker that the witch had kept Blue and the other fairies in. They needed to see if she had left any clues to her and Rumple's whereabouts. They were also going to search the woods to see if there were other bunkers or hideouts located there. Emma offered to take Roland with her to the Charming's since Snow would not be joining the investigations for obvious reasons and could watch him. Both Robin and Regina had hesitated feeling concern for his safety, not wanting to let him out of their sight but soon relented knowing he would not be able to come with them and could not stay by himself. Soon the two of them found themselves alone.
Regina was worried about the eventual showdown with the Wicked Witch. Would she have her magic to fight the fairy? Regina sometimes found it hard to know who she was without her magic, especially when it came to trying to defeat someone.
"Hey," Robin called to her, getting her attention. "What is the matter?" he asked, grabbing her hands and pulling her to him gently.
"What if I don't have my magic around her still? How will I defeat her?" she asked, worry lines creasing her forehead.
"You will find away," he assured her firmly, "We will find away." He pulled her closer, smiling slightly, "I recall finding it extremely attractive whenever you physically attack someone...other than me of course." He grinned widely when she looked at him strangely. His voice went lower as he continued, "Punching Mira….stabbing the Wicked Witch, those times made you very," he paused, gulping, "appealing," he finished.
She felt her breath become uneven as his hands lifted her shirt slightly stroking the bare skin there causing her to shiver. Her mind returned to their morning exercise, that had went uncompleted. Her mouth moved to his ear, sucking on it gently causing Robin to moan quietly. "Shall we finish what we started this morning," she whispered.
"You do not have to ask me twice," he answered breathlessly.
Regina pulled back slightly smiling, she turned her back to him and started quickly up the stairs, her hands already undoing the buttons on her shirt. She laughed as she felt Robin right behind her, his hands almost pushing her forward faster.
When they arrived at the bunker they were both not happy at the idea of being separated, but it made the most sense with Robin's archery skills. Robin, Charming, Granny and Red were going to patrol the outer parts of the forest, making sure no flying monkeys got past them. Regina, Emma,Tink and Neal were going to go explore the bunkers where the fairies had been kept. They kissed goodbye quickly with whispers of love surprising everyone but Emma. Regina ignored them all, she would tell Robin she loved him whenever she could, especially when there was a mad woman out to destroy them all.
Regina and the three others found the bunker and descended down into it. It was dark and cold, Regina felt a shiver run down her spine. Her castle had been dark and cold in the Enchanted Forest as well but this place gave her the….creeps.
There was a cage set up in the corner of the room where she must have kept Blue and the others.
"Regina," she heard Emma call her name wearily. Regina, Tink, and Neal walked over to where the woman stood and gasped at what they saw there. There was a hospital type like bed hooked up to IV's and a baby bassinet beside it, some disturbing toys surrounding it.
"My God," Regina breathed, horrified.
"We have to get back to Mary Margaret," Emma said. Regina thought of Roland there as well and agreed right away.
"I'll go get the others and meet you at the Charming's," Regina said to them.
Regina found Robin, Charming, Granny and Red and told them what they had found. They raced to the house. When they arrived Emma greeted them at the door, a strange look on her face. "Is Snow alright?" Charming asked, worried.
"Roland?" Regina added, panic started to surround her, she should have came right away with Emma, why didn't she?
"They are both fine," Emma reassured them. "Regina…..," she started. Regina glanced over the blonde's shoulder noticing for the first time the presence of Hook and then her world began to spin when she laid her eyes on the boy beside him. Henry.
Henry is back in Storybrooke...will he remember Regina? What will the witch's next plan involve?
I have an outline for three chapters left. Maybe four depending on how the next chapter goes. The end is near!
I love reviews! Let me know what you thought!
