A few months had passed since the Pridelanders had discovered what had happened to their previous king. Each day, Vitani got larger, anxious but also excited at the same time. Shupavu was ready to be a father, for he had already mastered the skills of being a good friend to the pride.

Kiara was now an expert at hunting, but she was determined to find out who it was that had caused them so much pain. Sukari and Anara were now part of the pride, along with Giza, Mapenzi and Ayo. Ayo grew fast, and she had developed a nice tawny color for her fur. Her personality had changed also, from being a good little cub that always kept herself clean, to a rough and adventurous cub who wouldn't mind a bit of mud on her coat.

Mapenzi was always the same, but had developed a bit of mane that he seemed to brag about everyday, and everyday it got worse. Nyota and Angu were also developing quickly. Angu had taken the personality of his father, hostile to any cub or stranger he didn't like, developing arm-tufts and always mocking the younger ones. Nyota was always up for an adventure with her brother, she had resembled Nala and Kiara. It was a rainy morning when Vitani had left to give birth.

"Why do you have to go?" Shupavu inquired, afraid of what would happen to his mate. "I don't like it."

"But I don't want to give birth here." replied the fringed lioness. "I need to do this on my own..."

She slinked away into a warm and sealed den, preparing for the exhausting labor that would soon control her body. Niobe had recently spent a lot of time with his mother and Namiya whilst Nieera taught the younger female cubs how to hunt. She still had some flaws, but she'd be like Nala.

Namiya gulped as she approached her mate, watery eyes filling her orbs. "We have to tell them, Niobe... We have to." she sighed, nuzzling into his mane with furrowed eyebrows.

"Your father will kill me for this - both of them," Niobe predicted. "Come on, we have to go through a lecture."

So Namiya and Niobe went to tell the rest of the family their secret. They were too young, but it had to be told some day and not to be left to the very last minute.

"WHAT?!" gasped Kovu, some meat falling from his mouth as his jaw dropped. "But you're too young!" Kiara came upon them and elbowed him with an eyebrow raised.

"Quit it, dear." she mumbled before turning to her daughter. "This is great, honey. You're going to be a mother!"

"Y-You're not mad?"

"Of course..." Anara was about to say something negative when Sukari interrupted him.

"...not! I'm going to be a grandmother!"

"And I'm going to be an uncle," said Giza emerging behind them.

Namiya nuzzled Niobe before being congratulated by her sister.

The rain's current slowed down as the pride prepared for their morning hunt. Sukari was the best hunter - possibly better than Nala and all the younger lionesses were learning to hunt for the first time. Nyota would often sit on a little canyon and observe the lionesses chase the herds and would try to immitate them with something small. Angu was out at the waterhole playing with Simba and Niobe, but also with Ayo, Giza and Mapenzi.

"So you're gonna be a dad, huh?" he asked, tackling Mapenzi to the ground. "I guess so... I'm sorry, Simba," he turned to the old lion. "I ruined your granddaughter's future..."

"Niobe," Simba chuckled. "This is good news - though you are both very young. Now you don't have to worry about having cubs in the future."

"But Namiya had always admired cubs - what if she wants more?"

"You two are going to be very busy then," Simba joked, laughing but stopped when the three cubs - but Giza - stood in front of him, beaming.

"I think I know what you mean by that, Papa." Angu chuckled.

Simba and Niobe both blushed. "I think it's time we take you home," they both suggested.

When the cubs were condemned in the den, Simba and Kovu decided to go for a walk and discuss the past. They talked about Sarabi, Mufasa, Scar, Zira and many other recent kings and lions. They suddenly heard cackles behind them. "I recognise that laugh," Simba gasped. "It was the same laugh from when I was captured."

The two lions looked in front and there was a brown lion with green eyes and a scar on his left eye, accompanied by a pride of grey lionesses behind them, one in particular had bi-colored eyes. She was blind. "Scar!" Kovu yelled, horrified.

"Well, if it isn't my son," Scar said, moving up to them.

"I'm not your son! You're dead! No!" Kovu gasped.

"I'm not, I'm right here, see? I was the one who kidnapped Simba and because you betrayed me, Kovu, you will suffer the same consequences." he warned.
Out of the blue, a lioness tackled Scar, shouting to the lions.

"Run!" her husky and cold voice alarmed them, before they galloped back to the kopje. The lioness was immediately attacked by the lionesses behind Scar and pulled to the ground.

"I think I know her!" said Kovu as he looked back.

Vitani had struggled through a hard and exhausting labor and she was happy to see her three new cubs. She named them Mvua, Gazeri and Doa - the names her and Shupavu had decided on. Mvua was a female, with a small tuft - smaller than her mother's, with beige pelt and green eyes. Gazeri was a male with a small brown tuft on his head, blue eyes and a pink nose and finally Doa, the youngest, was a tanned color and had a headtuft like her mother. It was her that resembled Vitani the most.

Thank you guys for the names! I haven't uploaded in AGES! I decided to take a short break from fanfiction, and as soon as I came back, Internet stopped working! But now it's fine, and I'm back again to post more. Yay!

Meet Vitani's three cubs: Mvua, Gazeri and Doa (Doa was named by me but the other names were suggested!)

Next chapter coming on Friday! Enjoy! And... Scar is back! Who is that Lioness that saved them though? Hehehehe... *Evil laugh* OK Bye! :D Missed this website so much :'(
