Ana

I slowly wake from a deep sleep and leave my eyes closed for a moment. I am engaged. Oh my god! I am going to be Mrs. Anastasia Grey. After his romantic proposal, Christian has given me the most beautiful engagement ring and we talked about a wedding date. We both agreed that we don't want a long engagement. If it was up to me we could just go to the next chapel and get married today, but Christian's parents and Elliot and Kate are not here, so that's not an option.

I can't help the huge smile on my face. There were times where I thought I would never get married, that I would spend the rest of my life alone and now I am going to marry the man of my dreams.

... Goin' to the chapel
And we're gonna get ma-a-arried
Goin' to the chapel
And we're gonna get ma-a-arried
Gee, I really love you
And we're gonna get ma-a-arried
Goin' to the chapel of love

What on earth? I open my eyes when I hear this song getting louder and suddenly the door to the bedroom opens and in comes Mia, Ireland, Nina, Melody, my Mom and Grace. What?

"Grace? Wait what is going on here?" I ask still a little sleep drunk and sit up, blushing as I do because the sheet falls down to my navel exposing my boobs, so I quickly pull it up to cover myself.

"Wow, damn girl, that's some rock your hottie has given you!" Melody whistles and jumps on the bed to inspect my ring closely, while all the girls including my Mom and Grace follow her onto the bed.

"Mel, what is going on here and where is Christian?"

"Oh we kicked him out of the sky villa right at midnight." She giggles and I gasp.

"What? Why would you do that? Oh my god, where is he?"

"At the other sky villa, darling. Don't worry all the men have slept there." Grace explains.

"Okay, please someone enlighten me, why would you kick Christian out?"

"Well, baby girl, the groom is not supposed to see the bride on their wedding day until they meet at the altar." My Mom says and I blink.

"Huh?" Is the only response I can form.

"Okay, here's the deal." Ireland jumps in all giddy. "When Gideon asked Christian if you two want to tag along on the Vegas trip he called back the next day and for the last week all of us have planed your wedding. You are going to get married today." She explains and claps her hand excitedly.

"Wait... so ... oh my God! The wedding is today? But I need a dress and shoes ... and what about the vows and ..."

"Relax, Ana. You have a dress, shoes, and everything, that is why we brought you to the bridal shop yesterday. There is nothing you need to worry about and now you have two hours to yourself to have breakfast, take a shower and then you can sit down and write down your vows. Christian has written his already."

"Two hours? Oh my god! I need to get going." I panic and jump out of the bed not giving a hoot that I am completely naked and dart into the en suite bathroom to take a shower in record time. Holy crap, this is really happening, I am going to get married... today!

While I'm brushing my teeth, it occurs to me that we don't have a marriage license. I rinse my mouth quickly and hurry back into the bedroom where everyone is still waiting for me.

"What about the license? Don't we need one?" I ask still slightly panicked, not because I'm afraid to get married so quickly, but because I am afraid that we will not get married today.

"It's all taken care of, Gideon has cashed in some favors and two people who work at the Marriage Bureau Clark County will stop by around noon. They will first meet with Christian and then with you." Mia explains and I sigh.

"Good... shit I wish Kate could be here, she would have loved this." I murmur.

"Did I hear my name?" I spin around and sure enough there she is, Kate Grey, nine months pregnant and smiling like a loon.

"Kate!" I gasp and start to cry when we hug.

"How? I mean, you are three weeks away from giving birth. How did you get here?"

"Well, I couldn't fly, just too risky, so your soon to be husband rented an super luxurious RV for Elliot and I. We even had a driver who drove us all the way to Vegas. It was great and hey... did you think that I would miss your wedding?"

"No, I didn't and... I hope none of you girls will be upset, but I would like to ask Kate to me my matron of honor." Shit, I hope Ireland is not upset about this.

"As long as the rest of us can wear the gorgeous bridesmaid dresses we got all is good." She says and I sigh.

"Okay, so umm... what's next?"

"Breakfast and then you have to write your vows. The hairstylist and make up artist will arrive after lunch." My mother explains.

"Is it possible to get extensions?"

"Sure, I give them a call, but your hair looks so gorgeous." Mia says and I smile.

"I know, but Christian loved my long hair and since this is our wedding day, I want to have at least one little surprise for him."

"Okay, so we give you a couple of minutes to get dressed before breakfast, oh and here, Christian asked me to give you this. He said this could be your something new and something blue." She says and hands me a beautifully wrapped present. I open it and gasp. It's the most beautiful necklace, it almost looks like the one from the Titanic movie, but on closer inspection, I notice that it is a locket. I open it and it makes me cry. On one side, the words Always in your heart are engraved into the locket and on the other side is a miniature picture of Ray and myself when I was about five years old.

"What is it, Ana?" My mom wants to know and even she waters up when she sees the picture.

"Ray would be so proud of you, darling. I know he is, wherever he is right now and he will be watching you today, I just know it." My mom says and I hug her. I hope so, Mom.

After I had breakfast, I sit down on the bed and think about my vows. There is so much I want to say to Christian and I am a little afraid that I am going to forget something, because I only have about an hour to write them down, but in the end, I close my eyes, take a deep breath and grab a pen and sheet of paper.

I give you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, to stand by your side in good times and in bad, to share your joy as well as your sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals and dreams, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and to cry with you, to share my hopes and dreams with you, and bring you solace in times of need. And to cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

I re-read them numerous times, but in the end I feel that they are perfect as they are and so I memorize them and just when I'm done my Mom announces that the man from the Marriage Bureau has arrived.

Christian

"For the love of God, bro, sit down or so help me I will glue your ass to the next chair." Elliot groans, but I can't sit still. Fuck, I haven't heard anything from Ana all morning. What if she doesn't want to get married and has already left?

"Christ, Grey! That hardwood floor was fucking expensive, quit wearing it out." Cross chuckles and I ignore him.

"Why has no one called, fuck, I can't do this, I'm going to see Ana!"

"You will do no such thing; those women in the other sky villa will rip your balls off if you even try to see Ana before the ceremony. Now sit there and let me call my girl." Arnaldo says and I glare at him. Who the fuck invited him to the party? Oh yeah right, I did!

I watch him take his phone out and he puts it on speaker.

"Hi babe, listen, we have a nervous groom on our hands, just tell him that Ana isn't running."

"Running? OMG, don't be ridiculous, Christian. I have never seen her this excited, but man; did you have to cover her in hickeys last night? I swear the make up artist will have such a hard time to cover them, I'm tempted to get my ass over to your sky villa just to put a hickey on the middle of your forehead, dude!" She says and I can't help it, I start to laugh. Usually, women who talk like that annoy the hell out of me, but with Ana's friend Melody, it's somewhat charming.

"Hey, don't blame me, I'm just going with the flow, you can check the hickeys and scratch marks I have if you want to."

"Sorry, Mr. Hottie, but as long as you are not interested in a foursome at your wedding night, your hickeys and scratches are none of my business. By the way, you will love what's under Ana's dress H-O-T is all that I am going to say. So, gotta go." And she hangs up.

"There, she is still here, can you now stop to pace or do we have to put Valium in your water?" Elliot asks and I am so fucking nervous, I might just take him up on that offer.

I wanted to ask Ana to marry me for so long now that when Cross asked me if we wanted to come to Vegas with them, I just couldn't resist. At first I wasn't sure if this is the right thing to do, because I wasn't sure if Ana wanted a big wedding, but after talking to Ireland and Kate both told me that Ana absolutely hates big weddings and always talked about having a small intimate wedding with only her family and friends to witness, I decided to go through with it.

So, in less than seven days, I got it all together and in no more than four hours, she will be my wife. Mrs. Anastasia Grey... man, that sounds good... mine.

"See, she is not running, so chill, dude."

"I wouldn't be so fucking nervous in the first place if my own mother wouldn't have kicked me out of the room! Who came up with this stupid fucking idea that a couple has to sleep apart the night before their wedding?" I still can't believe that my Mom just walked into the bedroom and kicked me out while I was watching Ana sleep.

"Well bro, I have no clue, but I wasn't allowed to spend the night before my wedding with Kate either. By the way, if my daughter is born in Vegas and ends up working as a stripper I will blame you." Elliot says and I roll my eyes. As if between the two of us that would ever happen to his daughter.

"Since we are already on the topic, does my sister have a bun in the oven?" Cross asks and I frown.

"No, she is on the pill. Why would you even ask that?"

"Well, she hasn't touched any drink with alcohol in it the entire weekend." He says and that has me sighing.

"It's because of me; she thinks it's unfair for her to drink if I can't. I tried to explain to her that I don't care, but she just doesn't want to."

"Are you struggling?" He asks and I want to tell him that this is none of his business, but then again, Ana is his sister and I would ask the same questions if he was a recovering alcoholic.

"No, I don't need or miss it. It was an escape, one I don't need anymore. In addition, your sister would give me hell or worse leave me if I would ever fall back into that behavior and I will never take that risk."

He seems satisfied with my answer and I go back to have another look at my vows... just 3 hours and 43 minutes and my life will finally be perfect...

Ana

This is it, only twenty minutes until I am going to walk down the aisle and marry the man of my dreams.

"Ana, Bob will be here soon." My mother says and I frown.

"Bob?"

"Well, Geoffrey and Ray aren't here to walk you down the aisle, so I thought you would like Bob to do it." She says and I frown.

"Mom, I don't want to upset Bob, but ... well I would like Gideon to walk me down the aisle."

"Of course, sweetheart, I'll get him for you." She says and three minutes later, my brother comes into the room where I am waiting for the wedding to start.

"Wow, look at you. You look beautiful, sis."

"Thank you, Gideon and I mean for everything. You are the best brother a girl could wish for."

"Whoa Ana, this is not the part to get emotional." He jokes when he sees the tears in my eyes. "If you ruin your make up now, my girlfriend and your very pregnant soon to be sister in law are going to have my ass."

"I know, so are you ready?"

"Ready?" He asks.

"To walk me down the aisle." I watch his face as my words slowly sink in and if I am not mistaken then he is the one with tears in his eyes now.

"You want me to walk you down the aisle?" He asks incredulously.

"Yes, that is if you want to of course."

"Yes, I just didn't think you would ask me."

"Well, I want you to walk me down the aisle, so tell me since Mia and Ireland took over the decorating and everything, just how pink is it out there? Do I need sunglasses?" I ask and we both laugh.

"You are lucky they sent Christian an image of what they wanted to do. I think his reply was something like it's Ana and Christian who are getting married, not Barbie and Ken, try again. Lord knows when Mia and I get married I will probably have to wear a bright pink tux."

"You can pull that off, and I am sure Mia is not going to take your man card away completely."

"Really, because last time I checked she had my balls in her purse." He jokes and I giggle.

"Remind never to look into Mia's purse then... but I'm glad you found someone who is making you happy, you deserve it."

"And Grey makes you happy?"

"He does, he might be an ass from time to time, but he is my over protective megalomaniac ass."

"I think you are handling him well and you know, if he ever fucks up again, I'll fly down to Seattle and whack him for you."

"We both fucked up, Gideon. Yes, what he did to me years ago was cruel and not something I ever want to go through with him again, but I was to blame too. I never even stopped to sit down and really think about why he was acting out like that. We could have avoided a lot if I had been more mature back then and demanded for him to talk to me... but I don't regret it either, after all by moving to New York I found you and Ireland."

"And you will never get rid of us." He smirks and Mia comes in.

"It's time, Ana. Oh, we are going to be sisters!" She gushes and hurries away.

"Well, Miss Steele, enjoy your last second as unmarried woman." Gideon says with the biggest grin and we slowly leave the room and walk over to the meeting room that has been redecorated for the wedding. Outside I have to smile when I see Angus, Ryan, Reynolds and Raul all wearing tuxedos.

"Ready sis?"

"As I'll ever be." I answer with a nod and take a deep breath as the music changes to a beautiful song that I have never heard before. We step into the huge room and at the far end, I see Christian at the altar with Elliot, John Flynn, Taylor and Bob who must have jumped in as a groomsmen, because Gideon is with me.

But just seeing the way Christian is looking at me in this moment makes it hard to walk slowly down the aisle. All I want is to run towards him, throw myself in his arms and never let go, and then when I finally reach him and he takes my hand to help me up the three steps to the altar. When I look into his eyes, I can see that he has tears too.

"You look so beautiful, baby. I love you."

"I love you, too, and I can't believe you pulled this off without me finding out." He wants to answer but the reverend starts with the ceremony and the only thing I really hear are Christian's vows to me.

"I solemnly vow that I will safeguard and hold deep and dear in my heart our union and you. I promise to love you faithfully, forsaking all others, through the good times and the bad, in sickness and in health, regardless of where life takes us. I will protect you, trust you and respect you. I will share your joys and sorrows and comfort you in times of need. I promise to cherish you and uphold your hopes and dreams and keep you safe at my side. All that is mine is yours now. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love from this moment on for as long as we both shall live."

And when a little later the reverend says that Christian can kiss the bride he pulls me in his arms and smiles down at me.

"Mine." Is all he whispers before his lips seal mine and in this moment, I know that I am the happiest person on this earth, because the man that I love the most is now my husband and nothing is ever going to break us apart again...

The End

I will post the epilog for Broken tomorrow... and then there is one more little surprise left the day after that...
