Jack seemed to have forgotten Dark's comments over the next few days, as he visited her several times, each one getting a little more passionate. She still didn't love him anymore than she would a slightly annoying friend, but the was no complaining about being kissed by an especially hot boy every day. His visits were the only thing to keep her occupied in the dull room.

The chains stayed on, and she resisted making any dirty jokes about them, resigned to the fact that Jack probably wouldn't get them, being practically a child in a teenagers body. Where as the dark had led her many places, and into some especially awkward situations, mostly involving bedrooms.

About a week into her imprisonment, she once again found herself pressed up against Jack Frost, legs wrapped around him as he kissed her, exploring her mouth while running his hands down her back, making it arch into him. His lips were cold and soft against hers, like ice, but more malleable. She broke it off suddenly, twisting her head to the side and kissing his cheek softly, her body shivering.

"Take it off," she whispered, and he pulled away, looking at her in confusion.

"What?"

She sighed impatiently. "Your shirt, take it off."

He looked at her, blue eyes unreadable as he grabbed his hoody and pulled itoverhishead. He wore a plain, old fashioned tunicbeneath it, brown as mud. She gave a small smile to see him looking so different. Brown was most definitely not his colour. She lifted its hem with her toes and he shrugged it off too, leaving him bare chested in front of her. He smiled awkwardly and she piled him closer with her legs, rekindling the kiss with the feel of his cold chest against her.

Dark wasn't sure what she had expected to see beneath Jacks shirt, but if it was rippling abs she was to be disappointed. He was incredibly thin, with only the smallest traces of muscles, and his skin was as white as his snowy hair. He was so incredibly cold that he teeth began to chatter as he kissed her, making him look up on surprise.

"Is it too much?" He asked her and she shook her head, but he pulled back anyway. His hand stroked her hair softly, and she found herself very distracted by his chest. As if he could tell what she was thinking, he grinned wickedly at her and leant forward again, resting on her chest.

"Is everyone else getting little visits like this?" She asked him jokingly, and he laughed.

"Would you be jealous if they were?"

"Of them or you?"

"You tell me."

Dark was the kind of girl who thought about those things, and she bit her lip while he watched her with a worried expression. "Them," she decided finally. "Though I'm sure you and Piper would get on swimmingly."

Jack smiled and nipped at her nose, living up to the saying. His mouth moved down to her neck, and she gave a small gap as he bit her again. She tried to imagine what Pitch would say of he were there and laughed. Jack looked up at her. "Should I be worried?"

"No," she replied, "Just thinking about what Pitch would say if he could see me."

"Oh yeah?"

"Mmm, he'd blush red as a rose. Not being kissed for a millennia will do that."

Jack grinned mischievously. "You'd know all about that, wouldn't you?"

"Just as well as you." He lay his head on her chest, and she felt herself getting slightly angry. "So this is how is works, is it? I stay locked up in here all day, and you come and kiss me whenever you want."

"Are you complaining?" Asked Jack, and he gave her nose another nip. "Because I do remember you telling me to take my shirt off.".

Dark rolled her eyes at him, and kissed him full on the mouth, which shut him up remarkably well. "I want to see Piper," she told him, and he broke off mid moan.

"Why?" He asked, giving her a hard look.

"or Jak; anybody. You have no idea how boring it is when you're not here."

"Then I'll stay here," he replied matter-of-factly, leaning in to kiss her again, but she put a foot between them and pushed him away gently, her toes curling into the cold of his chest. He looked at her with his blue puppy eyes, but she remained resolute.

"I'm sure the Guardians would be pleased by that- what do they think of this as it is, anyway?" Jack looked away shyly, and she cocked her head. "They don't know?"

"I'm fairly good at sneaking unnoticed," he replied, giving her an evil smile. "Though I think Bunny knows..."

"How is he, by the way?" Dark asked, getting side-tracked. "Healed? I hope Piper didn't hurt him too much."

Jack looked at her in confusion. "How do you know it was Piper?"

Damn, she'd forgotten he'd lost his memories from that day. She searched for the most plausible lie. "Piper told me- you don't take down a giant rabbit and not boast about it."

"And you want to go see him..." Jack gave her a searching look and she met his eyes fearlessly. "What would I get in return?"

"My undying gratitude?"

"But not love..." Jack sighed when she shook her head. "But you're fine with me kissing you?"

"I didn't have much choice in the matter," Dark replied. "Anyway- what can I say? You're pretty cute for an icicle. Now, can I go see my friend? Either of them?"

Jack looked towards the door, where the yetis had moved to the outside while he visited. She could tell he was worried about the Guardians finding out, it wasn't hard to imagine that Bunny would try to kill him if he knew. Then he turned to her and gave her a mischievous smile. "Okay, but you're going to be handcuffed..."

"And?" Dark asked, knowing there was something more.

He didn't reply, only tossed his hoody into her lap.

They found Piper in his cell, far away from Dark's. She wasn't sure why on Earth North even had cells in his place, but Piper was definitely maximum security. She had grinned at that, seeing his legs in chains as well as his hands, with four yetis watching over him, she hoped he took the compliment on how dangerous he was. He sat with his back to the wall, eyes shut tightly as he tapped a continuous tune into the painted wood with deft fingers. The rhythm echoed around the room as she and Jack slipped into the room.

Dark was shivering in Jack's hoody- it was full of ice and frost, and when she'd tried the hood on experimentally a bucket full of snow had fallen down her neck. Jack was still staring at her with wide eyes, as he had since she had put it on, waving away her black coat.

"You look so different," he had told her in awe. "When you're wearing something colourful... God, you look so different- in a good way. It suits you, I should get you one."

She'd laughed, thinking how odd it was to be in blue. It was far too big for her, but there was something comforting about the folds of thick cloth enveloping her, and the way it smelt of snow- if snow had a smell, it was in Jack's hoody.

Piper kept his eyes closed as they stood watching, concentrating on the beat of his fingers. Finally, Jack said, "You know, I'd always thought Piper was a girl's name."

"I've seen more girls called Jack than any Pipers," he replied, opening his eyes to stare at them. His sparkling brown eyes fixed on Dark's clothing and he raised an eyebrow. "I see you two have been having some fun."

Jack gave him a sarcastic smile. "That's what I'm for. Anyway, you have me to thank for allowing Dark to some see you."

Piper laughed. "Allowing Darkness?" He turned to look at her, tilting his head cockily. "You seriously hang out with this kid?"

"He has his moments," she replied, and Jack scowled. "How are you?"

"They took my pipe and chained me to a wall. How do you think I am?" He shook his brunette hair loosely, making him look as attractive as ever. Dark saw Jack giving him a death stare. "What do I owe the pleasure of your visit to?"

"I got bored."

"Of Jack? I'm not surprised."

"Hey!" Jack growled angrily, moving forward until his staff was pointed under Piper's chin, but all he did was laugh, fingers still tapping away at the wall, the beat changing every so often.

"Put your stick away, boy. Really, Darkness? This is the kid who's hoody your wearing?"

"It was part of the Terms and Conditions to freedom," Dark shrugged, then rattled the frosty chains around her wrists. "Though I wouldn't call it freedom. Jack, can you give us a minute alone?"

"No," he replied stubbornly, but retreated to the door none the less.

"Thank you."

"Have you come to get me out?" Piper asked her in a whisper.

"No," she replied. "Though I would if I could. You're staff is locked up in North's work bench, though."

Piper swore and Jack looked up, glaring. "Darkness, tell me the truth- whose side are you really on?"

She looked at him, this handsome man. A murderer, a fighter, a musician and a friend. "Isn't obvious. I'm on my side, and anybody who joins me is welcome to it."

"So that's why you've got the puppy following you around," Piper asked, nodding at Jack. "And what about Pitch."

"They're both on my side- just so happens I prefer one of them," she gave him a wicked smile, answer enough for anyone. "Where do you reckon Pitch is now?"

Piper shrugged. "Probably hiding somewhere. I hope he hurries up and burns this place- and everyone in it."

"That would include you," Jack said loudly, walking back over to them.

Piper gave him an evil look. "For now."

"Forever. You're not getting out of this, Piper. You don't look too brave now, in chains."

Piper gave him a cold look, and Dark watched with a smile as Jack recoiled slightly under his gaze. "Then unchain me, boy. Stop meddling in things you don't understand."

"I'm not a boy," Jack snapped, trying not to look afraid.

"Let's see- you're three hundred and seventeen years old, ten younger than Darkness, fifty less than myself. You're forever trapped in a body, not even a man. Your face is as soft and hairless as a girls and I could kill you in three seconds. Face it, Jack Frost, you're little more than a boy."

Jack kicked him, but Piper only laughed, blood still dried on his lips from when North had punched him. His fingers continued tapping away. Dark hastily stepped between them. "Woah there, guys. There's enough of me to go around. Just cool it."

"You're telling me to 'cool' it?" Jack asked, looking at her.

"Yes," she replied smiling. "And Piper, please. I came to see you, I can go and visit Jack if you're going to start fights."

"You do that," Piper replied unsmiling. "I'm busy, in case you haven't noticed."

At first Dark thought he was joking, but then her eyes dropped to his fingers, busily drumming into the wood with a quick tune. She knelt beside his hand, but he didn't break his rhythm. "Piper... what are you doing?"

"Finding the right frequency to shatter the wall," he replied, looking at Jack before closing his eyes in concentration. "Oh- almost got it then."

"You're lying," Jack told him.

"Not this time," Piper replied. "You can leave if you want. Dark, I'll come break you out soon, if I'm not interrupting you two."

She blushed and stood up, but Jack had to have the last word. "Have fun with that dream. I think the walls will crumble from old age before you breakout."

Piper didn't look up as they left, but as Dark was just moving through the door, he called, "See you soon."

"Do you think he's telling the truth?" Jack asked her as he took her back, holding her by the handcuffs. Dark was flattered byhis lack of trust in her.

"Most definitely, I would never doubt Piper."

He looked at her sullenly. "And why's that?"

"Because one day he's probably going to kill us all," she replied as he opened the cell door for her, pushing her inside and breaking the icy chains around her arms. If only his bracelet could come off like that...

"I'd like to see him try." Jack kissed her, hugging her tightly. She really wasn't in the mood for it, however, and she broke it off, sighing.

"Just tie me back up. I need to think."

"What ever you say," said Jack bitterly, and left her there, slamming the door bad temperedly again.

She sagged back, alone but still wearing his hoody. Damn him. Damn Piper. It wasn't fair- why did she of all people have to be locked up- she was Darkness. She was supposed to be impartial, but then she'd rescued Pitch and kissed Jack. Why couldn't things be simple? Darkness vowed that as soon as she got out, she would make it simple.

At least she had got to see Piper at any rate.

"Blue is definitely your colour... nice choice," a voice beside he said, and she jumped in alarm as an arrow flew through the air, snapping both chains easily and lodging in the wall beside of her. She stared at it, watching the shaft quiver, pinning a heart shaped note above her head.

Dear Jack,

I stole your girlfriend, sorry.

Love, C. xoxo

"You know," Cupid said, standing above her as a startlingly attractive boy, the one he had been when she first saw him. "I'm very hungry. Care to join me for dinner?"

Dark shook her head wearily at him as he helped her to her feet, bowing romantically and planting a kiss on her hand. "Oh God, not you again..."
