Aeroplanes and Discussions
Chapter Summary: Sherlock, John and Flynn have been on aeroplanes before. Flynn's even jumped out of one. Harry, Luna and Draco are all ignorant of the fun to be had. Will their friends clue them in?
Harry huddled as closely as he could to his wife. He hated crowds. There were so many people milling around. He could feel panic rising and focused on the shell of Luna's ear. It was a pale pink color. He loved to play with her ears. It always made her giggle.
"You're staring as though you'd never seen an ear before, Potter," Sherlock sniped from right beside Harry. He hated being forced around all these people. The crowds were pushy and loud.
Luna shot the tall man a hot glare. "Be quiet, SherlockHolmes. Harrymine may look at my ear all he wants. It's a far better solution than him snapping and cursing everyone in this aeroport."
"I am not going to snap, Lunalove," Harry's gaze didn't leave Luna's ear while he spoke but his hand did clench just a fraction as though wrapping around his wand.
Luna noticed the way his hand trembled and took it within her own. "Of course you aren't, Harrymine. You are perfectly fine. I am here. You know what would take your mind off of the crowd?"
Harry paused for a moment before answering her. Sometimes her ideas were a bit…odd but they normally turned out exactly how she had wanted them too. "What?" He finally asked.
Luna's bright smile shone. "Sex," she said simply in an overloud voice. "Sex is a great way to relieve stress and it forces a person to ignore their surroundings in favor of their partner. So let's have sex, Harrymine. I like having sex with you. It makes me see stars and scream my joy to the world. So the crowd won't mind if we have sex here. They can share in our joy."
Silence fell around the six companions and then the crowd slowly started to back away. Harry stared at his wife for a moment and then put his free hand over his eyes. "Lunalove…I'm going to have to say…no. I love you but…no. Not in an aeroport. Not in front of a crowd. Just…no."
Luna sighed as though disappointed and then turned her attention to her husband. "Oh well, doesn't matter anyway, I guess," she said and then took his chin in her free hand. "They all ran away like cowards anyway."
Four of the five men stared around in wonder. Sherlock only grinned at Luna. "Utterly brilliant," he praised and then grabbed John's hand and tugged him towards their gate. "Come along or we'll be late."
Draco followed suit with Flynn and Harry smiled down at Luna. "Thank you, Lunalove. You are a miracle, you know."
Luna leaned up on her toes and kissed his cheek. "I am your miracle, my love," she whispered into his ear. She backed away a step and tugged on his hand. "We need to get on the plane now."
Harry grinned. "Right behind you," he assured her. He would follow her anywhere. She'd never led him wrong and he didn't believe that she ever would.

The companions settled into their seats with Sherlock, Flynn and Luna claiming the windows. Sherlock and Luna chose the window seats because they wanted to look out and Flynn because Draco adamantly wouldn't. As soon as they were seated though Draco leaned over Flynn's lap to stare at the activity of the ground crew.
"What are you doing, Dray?" Flynn asked with an amused snicker.
Draco shot him an exasperated look. "Making sure they load our bags on this plane, Carson." He turned his attention back to the window. "I've heard the stories about lost baggage and I refuse to lose all my things simply because they messed up the tags."
Harry chuckled a bit. "You mean you didn't put a tracking spell and a proximity spell on your luggage, Dray?"
Draco glared at him and sat back in his seat with an angry huff. "No. Why is it that a Muggle-raised remembers these things and I always forget? You suck, Potter."
Harry eyed him for a moment and then smiled easily. "I can always take the ones I put on your luggage off if you wish, Dray."
Draco's head whipped around to face him across the aisle. "You wouldn't do that to me, would you Harry? Please?"
Harry heaved out a put upon sigh and shook his head. "Lunalove wouldn't let me anyway," he assured the blond.
Draco sent the back of Luna's head a grateful look. Then he blinked. "What's a proximity spell? I've never heard of it."
Luna somehow spun in her seat and then leaned over Harry to talk to her cousin in an excited voice. "Harrymine invented it! He fiddled with Accio and the Portkey spell and made it timed. Now our luggage or whatever we put the spell on will come to us at a preset time. In this case I think he set it for when we get to the luggage claim at the end of our flights."
Draco's gray eyes widened and he leaned closer to Luna. "Incredible," he breathed. "Do you know what he did? What's the incantation?"
Luna leaned back into her seat and looked out the window again. "Harrymine, instruct my cousin," she ordered.
Harry shrugged and launched into a discussion on arithmancy and runic equations with Draco that carried the two of them and an eavesdropping Sherlock through takeoff and the flight attendant's instructions. The two men had their heads close together blocking the aisle between the seats and talking in low tones. Sherlock had twisted in his seat as much as the seatbelt would allow until the light went out and then he released himself and turned around, resting his knees in the seat and leaning over the back.
"Harry," Flynn interrupted them. "Switch seats with me will you? Preferably before Sherlock falls into my lap."
Sherlock scoffed wordlessly and Harry simply blinked his green eyes before unbuckling and standing up. Flynn did the same and pushed past Draco's legs. He sank down beside Luna with a grateful sigh and leaned his head back. He had no clue what anything Draco and Harry were saying meant and he was beyond glad to be away from the discussion that had left his head reeling. He hated not knowing things but they were so into their conversation they didn't have the time to explain it to him.
A heavy book dropped into his lap and he lifted his head and opened his eyes to peer at it. "What?" He asked fuzzily.
Luna blinked large silver eyes at him. "Beginning Arithmancy," she stated. "I'm right here if you have any questions and I have my Beginning Runes book somewhere in my luggage when you're finished with that."
"You take school books from what…third year? With you everywhere?" He asked her, bemused.
Those big silver eyes blinked at him in surprise. "Of course," she said. "You mean you don't?"
Flynn shook his head in amazement at her and then opened the book. He really would like to be able to understand the technical conversations that Harry had sometimes with the others. They looked and sounded interesting.

An hour later John was jerked from a light doze as his cell phone buzzed. He frowned. He could have sworn he'd turned it off.
He pulled it from his pocket and automatically steadied Sherlock when the younger man whipped around to stare down at him. "What is it?" Sherlock asked in a distracted tone.
John shook his head. "I don't know yet," he answered. "It's a text message." He opened the text and his frown deepened. The number was blocked and all the text said was: Overhead compartment.
"What?" John mumbled to himself as he stared at the phone. The text alert dinged again.
Now John.
"That's a bit creepy," Draco whispered from over his shoulder. "What's it mean?"
Sherlock scoffed and stood up. He pushed past John's legs and opened the overhead compartment. A perplexed scowl crossed his face and he pulled a black duffel bag from the compartment. "Why would-?" He handed the bag to John and retook his seat. "Well open it, John," he ordered.
"That might not be such a great idea, Sherlock," Flynn protested. "You have no idea what's in it. It could be…a bomb," his voice lowered to an almost inaudible hiss.
"It's not," came at him from four different directions. Draco simply stared at him horrified.
John opened the bag and pulled out a black laptop computer with his name on it in gold lettering. A yellow sticky note was stuck to the top above his name.
Turn me on.
John raised one eyebrow and followed the instructions. The writing looked vaguely familiar.
"Hullo my intrepid adventurers," A's visage greeted them after the laptop completed it's warm up processes. "This is a recording so don't bother replying. Judson and I cooked these little beauties up for the six of you. Flynn, your first priority is the Crumple Horned Snorkack but any other artifacts you find should be acquired and sent on to Judson and Charlene. The rest of you do what you do.
"I would suggest ditching your cell phones as soon as you land in New York before catching your connecting flight. They can be tracked and certain parties are most interested in your whereabouts. There are six I-phones in the bottom of the bag that are untraceable and already preprogrammed to only receive calls from each other, mine, Judson and the Malfoys. Use those. And Draco call your mother once a week or she'll track you down and drag you home and I'll help her.
"The laptops are also encrypted so don't worry about being tracked through them. Not to worry Judson and I have thought of everything. We've already rented you an RV once you reach your destination. There are credit cards in the bottom of the bag that should have enough of a credit line to keep you going for a while. But don't go crazy with them.
"I think that's all. If you have any questions give me a call and I'll see what I can do. If I am unavailable due to that certain person that we don't want to know about your whereabouts then call Judson. Be careful, be safe and have fun. Send me lots of postcards?"
"Wow," Harry breathed out. "Awesome."
There was a chorus of agreement as they each delved into the bag and pulled out the laptops with their names on them and the I-phones that also had their names engraved on them.
Luna wrapped her finger around her lilac phone and grinned. A was absolutely brilliant and she'd never been more grateful for the older woman. Now Mycroft couldn't ruin their fun with his ignorance and conceit and Jim was safely in prison so he couldn't ruin it either. This was going to be the adventure of a lifetime and she had wonderful friends to share it with. She couldn't wait to get to Seattle.
