A few hours had passed the storm was still occuring but further out so Angela and Lex had Lionel transported to Smallville General. Angela knew she wouldn't be able to handle dealing with Lionel much longer so she kissed Lex's cheek and took off to find her brother.
Deciding to use her speed Angela was happy she had left the heels at home and had slipped on a pair of ballet flats before they came here. Going easy Angela began with short distances focusing her hearing to see if she heard Clark.
As she got further out and closer to the storm she saw the debris of a truck that she recognized as Lana's.
"Clark! Lana!,"
"Angela over here," Clark responded getting Angela's attention.
Making her way over to him she was shocked with fear as she saw their spaceship away from the farm.
"Find the key it fell out I'll get this home,"
"Alright Clark, I'll take Lana to the hospital too,"
"Thanks sis," Clark said as he bent over and lifted the spaceship and super speeded home.
Angela spent a few minutes xraying the field and surrounding area and after finding the key made her way over to Lana and quickly got her out of there as well.
After dropping Lana off at the hospital Angela headed home as well and found Clark and their mother outside but no sign of their father.
"He went after Nixon, stay with mom I'll find dad,"
"Be careful Clark," Angela agreed knowing she wouldnt be able to handle being around Nixon with how much hate she had towards him right now.
Lex arrived about five minutes later and after hearing the story takes off to help Clark find Jonathon. Making their way out into the woods they find a car smashed into a tree.
"Nixon's," Lex says as he recognized the car.
Pulling his cell phone out Lex pushed call to see if they can trace the sound to where Jonathon and Nixon was.
Jonathon meanwhile was fuming he heard the phone rining and after snatching it out of Nixon's hands since he threatened to expose his children he grew even more irate when he saw it was Lex calling.
"So your in league with Luthor,"
"No I've tryed plenty of time to get him to be involved but for some reason he kept saying no what a surprise though when I realized it was cause he is living with your alien daughter,"
"Watch your mouth," Jonathon warned him as he smashed Nixon's phone against the tomb wall.
Clark and Lex had searched all night but unfortunatly there was no luck on findiing Jonathon and Nixon. Angela was staying at the farm helping Clark with the chores while Martha did all she could to try to find Jonathon.
The town had turned the Talon into a relief center and Martha had posted a missing flyer up on the board for Jonathon.
Clark blamed himself for not being able to find his father but Angela knew it wasn't his fault.
Lex had repairmen at the mansion fixing the windows and restoring the damage inside their home while he dealt with his father being in Smallville General.
Angela stood beside her brother in the Talon with her head on his shoulder comforting him knowing their bond would bring a sense of peace to them both.
"Clark?,"
"Hey Lana," Clark and Angela greeted her.
"Can we talk?,"
"Sure," nodding at Angela he took off to the side to speakto Lana.
Angela picked at a blueberry muffin not really hungry for muffins when all of a sudden a bacon cheeseburger was slipped under her nose.
Looking up Angela smiled at Lex giving her the I just knew look before kissing her temple.
"Thank you baby,"
"Your welcome love I know after all the stuff you been through rela food helps more the muffins,"
"So true, do you think we can have these like permantly in the mansion,"
"Anything you want baby," Lex laughed while wrapping his arm around her waist while she ate.
"Lex,"
"Clark, look Nixoncame to our house the other night he claimed he had some sort of proof of about the two of you I forgot about it cause I slammed the door in his face but I figured you should know,"
"It's ok Lex we knew but thank you for not getting involved,"
"Your welcome Clark," Lex nodded his head as Martha made her way over and gave Lex a quick hug in light of the situation.
"I have a map of cell towers that survived the storm Clark perhaps we can use it to pin point a search radius,"
"Good idea Lex," Angela said as she tossed the burger wrapper away.
Getting up they were joined by Pete and Chloe to search the woods.
When they arrived they spilt up Clark and Chloe went one way, Lex and Angela another, and Pete took the last direction. Angela hoped Clark would be smart enough to take the time to apologize to Chloe for the dance last night and his stupid idea of leaving.
Unbeknowest of them Clark and Chloe had gotten close to where Jonathon and Nixon were digging under to escape but never found them as the cave began to cave in around them under ground.
Angela and Lex made their way back meeting up with the others with no progress.
Later that day Pete made his way to the Kent farm a bundle of papers with him in hopes they helped.
Spreading the papers out on the table the yturned out to be maps of the country planners from long ago.
"Right there there's a church it has a underground refuge that Jonathon knew about it's possible he could have gone there,"
"Alright we will head over Pete stay with Martha please and continue reading these maps," Lex asked as Angela and Clark made their way to the door.
"Sure no problem Lex," Pete said agreeing that they should continue checking the maps.
As they pulled up at the church Clark sped downstairs just as Angela and Lex were getting out of the car.
"So impatient brother,"
"He just wants to find your dad love,"
"I know Lex but he doens't know what's down there,"
"Good point," Lex said as Angela made her way around the church to join Clark.
"Clark!," Angela yelled as she found her borther sick on the ground while her father fought Nixon.
"Stay...back," Clark gasped out but Angela shook her head and made her way over.
Watching the fight Angela held her borther close as she made sure to get any rocks off him, and away from him especially the one Nixon had slipped in his pocket.
Suddenly Nixon was standing over her father ready to kill him when a loud pop went off.
"Angela you ok?,"
"Need you to get the rock away Lex," nodding Lex walked over and grabbed the rock tossing it as far as he could into the church.
"Clark, Angela,"
"Dad," they replied as they wrapped their arms around their father.
"I'm so happy your both ok,"
"As we are you dad," Angela said as she look over seeing Lex standing over the body of Nixon.
As she made her wya over to him she heard the click of his phone being hung up and wrapped her arms around his wasit.
"Paramedics will be here shortly,"
"Ok love, thank you for saving my dad,"
"I would do anything to protect you and your family Angela,"
"I know you would," she replied leaning up giving him a small sweet kiss.
About twenty minutes later the paramedics showed up to check on Jonathon. As Lex spoke to Sheriff Ethan about what happened Clark and Angela kept their distance to avoid being too much involved. Clark on the other hand was discussing Lex to their father.
"Sheriff Ethan is going to handle it I gave him all the details so he won't nee to question either of you,"
"Thank you Lex," as Jonathon said that Lex's eyes widened in surprise.
"Your welcome Mr Kent," Lex said as he accepted the out strecthed hand of a tentative new friendship between himself and Jonathon.
It was late in the evening as Angela sat curled up on the leather sofa in front of the fireplace she was waiting for Lex to get back from checking on Lionel so she used the time to read some of her Grimm brother's fairy tale book.
Hearing the door open she placed the book down upon the table in front of her and turned to look over her shoulder at Lex as he entered the room.
"He hates me,"
"What why?,"
"The surgery failed, he is now completely blind,"
"That isn;t your fault Lex they said there was a risk,"
"I know but we know how Lionel is,"
"True," Angela said as Lex sat down beside her.
Leaning over Angela wrapped her arms around Lex's waist and lays her head upon his shoulder knowing it was the little bit of comfort he could use.
"It'll work out Lex,"
"I hope so," with that said they settled back against the couch to reflect on the days events.
