4 Weeks (1 Month)-
"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Bing you're expecting!"
Neither Monica or Chandler had been able to contain their happiness until in the safety of their own home. The 2 had just finished up at the hospital to check Monica was in fact pregnant and the 3 tests she had taken yesterday weren't just faulty. Obviously they weren't.
Both had been taken by surprise when Doctor Long had announced Monica was in fact already a month gone and was due to deliver early May 2017. Along with the good news came the slightly bad news too- Monica's chances of miscarriage had increased dramatically after the yet unmentioned incident from February 2013.
This however had failed to put a dampener on their moods and they now sat curled up on the love seat back home discussing housing plans.
"So you want a house like something you grew up in?" Chandler questioned. Monica was laying between his legs, both their hands resting comfortably on her stomach.
"I don't know" Monica whined "Just something that feels homey. Not with the big iron gates and the thousands of rooms"
"I'll get in touch with the guy who built my old house and see what he can come up with" Chandler stated.
"I love you" Monica smiled tilting her head back to look at him.
"I love you too" Chandler smiled before kissing her lips softly.
8 Weeks (2 Months)-
"I'm fat" Monica whined as she stood in front of the mirror- completely naked, in the walk in wardrobe.
"Honey, you're not fat. You're just pregnant" Chandler stated coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist "They're 2 completely different things"
"And I'm gunna get fatter!" Monica whined.
"All for a good cause" Chandler stated.
"Stop being all mushy or I might throw up on you" Monica stated before pulling on one of Chandlers shirts and returning to their bedroom where she collapsed back on the bed, "I'm so tired" She yawned.
"Why don't you get some rest then while I'm out sorting the house?" Chandler questioned.
"I can't sleep if you're not there" Monica stated.
"Now who's all mushy?" Chandler smirked.
"Don't push it" Monica stated "I might just lie here and watch a movie. It's to much effort to move- my back is aching like hell and my boobs are to heavy" She complained.
"I'm sorry sweetie" Chandler smiled enveloping her in a hug "Well for everything except the boob thing" He smirked.
"I hate you" Monica pouted collapsing backwards onto the pillows.
12 Weeks (3 Months)-
"I have good news for you both" Dr Long smiled as she led Monica and Chandler into an examination room "You've officially reached the end of you first trimester which means you're officially out the danger zone" She smiled "Now, how have you been Monica?"
"The morning sickness stopped a couple weeks back and I feel a lot better than before" Monica stated as she climbed up onto the bed.
"That's the good thing about the second trimester- it gives you a break while you're body adjusts to the baby" Dr Long stated as she wheeled an ultrasound machine closer to the bed "You have the opportunity to hear the heartbeat today" She smiled.
"This early?" Chandler questioned.
"The heart is one of the first things to develop" Dr Long smiled as she squirted gel onto Monica's stomach before moving the wand across the still flat surface "Have you told anyone yet?"
"We didn't want to until we were shore everything was definitely okay" Chandler stated.
"In a few weeks time your stomach will start to grow so it will become harder to hide the pregnancy" Dr Long stated as she continued to move the wand. She was about to talk again when the imagine on the screen flickered and a strong beating echoed throughout the room.
"It's really fast" Monica stated "Is it okay?" She questioned slightly panicked.
"Everything's fine" Dr Long smiled "Everything's progressing like it should be. Congratulations. At the way your pregnancy is going you should start to notice the bump maybe within a few weeks. I'm going to book you another appointment for 2 months time"
14 Weeks (3 & A Half Months)-
Chandler sat on his laptop on the couch downstairs emailing the builders about the updates on their new home.
A house had already been built similar to the one they'd described and after several negotiations Chandler and Monica had bought the house. The 5 bedroom house was only 15 minutes away from their current location and Monica had immediately fell in love with it. Her hormones overcoming her until she was crying.
The couple had hired several designers to decorate and furnish the house to their standards and it was due to be completed a month before Monica was due.
They still hadn't revealed to anyone about the baby and the new house but they were slowly preparing themselves for the somewhat inevitable that would come sooner rather that later, especially considering-
"Chandler!" Monica shrieked rushing down the stairs and into the living room.
"Mon? What's wrong?" Chandler questioned holding her still in front of him.
"Nothing" Monica smiled a huge smile playing on her lips.
"Then what?" Chandler questioned but Monica didn't reply just unbuttoned the shirt she was wearing before moving Chandlers hand across her stomach.
"Can you feel it?" Monica questioned continuing to move his hand.
"A bump" Chandler smiled and Monica nodded before jumping up and down on the spot.
"It's our baby" She smiled excitedly peering down at the tiny bump.
18 Weeks (4 & A Half Months)-
"Mon that was gorgeous" Ross stated reclining back on his chair. Everyone was over at Monica's and Chandlers for poker and Monica's homemade pizza.
"Thanks" Monica smiled before gathering all the plates into a pile and carrying them over to the sink, she'd just placed them down when- "Ow!" She shrieked her hands flying to her stomach.
"Mon what's wrong?" Chandler questioned immediately rushing to be at her side. Everyone else just sat dumbfound at the table still not knowing about the baby.
"The baby's kicking!" Monica shrieked forgetting about everyone else in the room and the fact they were still keeping it a secret.
"What?!" Everyone had questioned as Monica placed Chandlers hand on her stomach, both of their faces flickering slightly before breaking out into large grins.
"It's feels funny" Monica giggled before rising onto her toes to kiss Chandler square on the lips.
"You're pregnant?" Rachel questioned when their kiss had broken.
"We honestly didn't plan for you guys to find out this way" Monica stated as Chandler smirked again when the baby kicked once more.
"We were planning to tell you after the next ultrasound" Chandler added leading Monica back over to the table, his hands still placed on her bump.
"How far along are you?" Phoebe questioned the happiness in her voice clear.
"18 weeks" Monica smiled.
20 Weeks (5 Months)-
"Would you like to know the gender?" Doctor Long questioned moving the wand over Monica's ever expanding bump.
"Definitely" Monica smiled squeezing Chandlers hand tightly.
"It looks like- congratulations Mr and Mrs Bing your expecting a girl!" Dr Long smiled "I'll leave you 2 alone for a minute" She added before exiting the room.
"I hope to god she looks like you" Chandler smiled knocking away Monica's tears with his thumb.
"As long as she has your eyes" Monica smiled before leaning upwards to kiss his lips softly.
22 Weeks (5 & A Half Months)-
"Chandler and Monica Bing have officially revealed they are expecting their first child! In a number of pictures from friends Joey and Clare's wedding last week Monica was pictured with what looked to be a baby bump in the motion. Sources close to the couple have now revealed they are in fact expecting their first child due to be born early May! A huge congratulations to the happy couple!"
24 Weeks (6 Months)-
Monica climbed out of bed stepping out onto the balcony into the brisk February air. Hers and Chandlers daughter kicking away keeping her from sleeping. Pulling Chandlers shirt tighter around her body she allowed her mind to wonder.
Every news report on the pair had revealed they were expect their 'first' child. But they weren't expecting their first child. She was their second child. It didn't matter that they'd never heard his heartbeat or felt him move, didn't matter that they'd never found out whether 'he' was in fact a boy or that they hadn't planned him. He was still their first child. Always had been. Always will be.
Monica couldn't help herself in that moment as she let out a quiet sob, allowing her tears to fall rapidly down her flushed cheeks. It had been exactly 4 years since Monica had miscarried. As of this day which was still only a few hours in. This, adding to another reason of why Monica couldn't sleep.
She could only imagine how excited he'd be to become a big brother and to finally have someone to play with and look out for. Someone to chaise around the garden and to sit at the top of the stairs with on Christmas Eve watching and waiting to see if Santa would visit.
It was around this time 4 years ago that she had woken with the most blinding pain in her lower abdomen. Blood staining anything and everything she came in contact with. Never in her life had she cried so much within the space of a week. For 3 weeks she had been unconsolable. It was only when she had opened up to Chandler and Amber during Ambers second week in Banff that things had started to slowly improve.
Still 4 years later she couldn't get over the fact that her baby was an angel before her. No parent should have to witness their child die before them, whether that child had already been born or not. She'd already concluded soon after the miscarriage that she'd never get over the fact that her baby never got to live. Never got to meet his parents, who to this day still love and miss him more than anything. Will never get to meet his little sister or future siblings. Will never get to experience anything because he was sentenced to a life as an angel. One day she'd finally get to meet her baby but for now he'd be her angel. Her guardian angel. Their guardian angel.
A strong kick from her daughter bought her back to the real world, but didn't stop her from completely breaking down. Her tears fell faster than before, trailing down her face.
"Don't ever leave me baby" She whispered hugging her stomach tightly, as if in reply to Monica's statement her daughter began to kick at where her hand had come to rest "Don't ever forget how much me and your Daddy love you-" She cried lowering herself to the ground "I will never let anyone hurt you okay?" She added as her daughter kicked again, "I don't know what I'd do if I lost you as well" She sobbed as Chandler wrapped his arms tightly around her allowing her to sob into his chest "Don't ever forget how much your brother loves you, because he does and we do so, so much. Don't let anyone ever tell you different-" She whispered hoarsely before tilting her head to look at Chandler, kissing him softly on the lips, in comfort for not only herself but for him too.
28 Weeks (7 Months)-
"It's even more gorgeous than what I remember" Monica stated as they drove up the drive way to what would soon be their new house.
The whole house had been decorated except 2 bedrooms- the other 3 for the master bedroom, nursery and guest bedroom. Everything they had bought for their daughter in place ready for when she arrived in 2 months time. When Doctor Long had heard they were moving she'd suggested not to move in until it becomes necessary because of all the paint fumes which could cause Monica to become ill. All 3 had eventually agreed on a month before giving them time to settle in before the birth.
"And it's all ours" Chandler smiled as he helped her out the car "Dr Long said we should open the windows and all the doors when we get in to remove the paint smell" He stated.
"I'm so excited" Monica giggled squeezing Chandlers hand tightly.
"Me too" Chandler replied smiling widely as he unlocked the door, leading them straight into the living room, "Where to first?"
"The nursery" Monica stated as they made their way upstairs.
Unlike their current house this place wasn't as big, just a simple landing space connecting a balcony, a bathroom and 4 of the bedrooms - all that would eventually become children's rooms depending on the number of children they had. Another staircase led upstairs to a recreation room, a balcony and finally the master bedroom- complete with a master bathroom both having opted out of a walk in wardrobe.
"If I remember correctly-" Chandler started leading Monica towards one of the white painted doors "-this one" He smiled before taking a step back.
Chandler had been more involved in the decorating of the house more so than Monica and had played a large role in the designing of the nursery for their daughter. Monica smiled excitedly before reaching forward and pushing the door open, she gasped upon seeing the baby pink painted room.
"Chandler, it's gorgeous" She whispered several tears falling from her glistening eyes as she surveyed the room.
The door opened on the left hand side, a white, wooden crib stood against the right wall against the freshly painted, baby pink walls. A matching changing table stood on the left hand wall. A white rocking chair placed in the corner next to the window on the opposite wall, looking out over the back garden. A chest of draws stood behind the door filled with hundreds of tiny outfits they would eventually dress their daughter in. A small dollhouse, a toy box and a small, pink play table scattered the room. Several teddy bears sat in the crib and on top of the changing table, dresser and a large, white, fluffy teddy sat in the rocking chair.
"I thought when we decide on a name we could get one of those things that hang on the door saying who's room it is and we could get all individual letters and spell her name out above the crib" Chandler smiled.
"Chandler- this is-" Monica started "- it's unbelievable"
"So you like it?" Chandler questioned.
"Like it? I love it" Monica smiled "Thank you" She added.
"No, thank you" Chandler smiled kissing her lips passionately.
"Can we see out room?" Monica questioned a large smile playing on her lips.
"Of course" Chandler smiled "Right this way" He added kissing she lips one final time.
32 Weeks (8 Months)-
"I'm actually gunna miss this place" Monica stated as she and Chandler gathered the last of their things.
Considering they weren't taking any of the furniture the only things they had to move from the house were personal items and so the gang were helping them move the final things. Everyone else had already left leaving Monica and Chandler with a box of photo albums, a separate box filled with the scripts from all the films or tv shows they'd stared in and the photo frame Monica had given Chandler for their first anniversary.
"Me too" Chandler sighed looking up from the box he had just finished packing the final things in, "We've had some good times here" He smirked.
"And we're gunna have loads of good times at the new house too" Monica smiled leaning forward to kiss him softly, their daughter kicking at the contact to Chandlers torso.
"Someone's excited" Chandler smiled leaning down to place a kiss on Monica's bump.
"Come on or we'll never get to the house at this rate" Monica smiled as Chandler helped her up. Chandler lifted the 2 boxes while Monica climbed on to the bed to take down the frame. Both stood in the doorway of what had been their bedroom for well over 4 years.
"I'm gunna go and put these in the car before I get all emotional" Chandler joked before leaving Monica alone with only the photo frame. Monica sighed before stepping out onto the balcony for one final time the photo frame still clutched tightly in her hand.
She glanced down briefly, all the pictures except one disappearing from her vision.
"I'm sorry we're leaving this place" She whispered looking up to the sky, "We have to more to the new house to make sure your sister grows up happily and safely" She added "We'll see you there" She smiled before returning to the bedroom where Chandler stood once again in the doorway.
"Ready?" Chandler questioned and Monica nodded allowing him to lead her towards a new start. In their new house together as a family.
May 2nd- "Any day now" Chandler smiled rubbing Monica's bump that had grown so much in the past 9 months.
"I just wish she'd come out already" Monica stated resting her head on his shoulder and as if on cue their daughter began to kick "And that's my bladder and now I need to pee" She sighed as Chandler helped her up. Making her way across the room she stopped suddenly.
"Mon?" Chandler questioned.
"Hmm?" Monica hummed obviously focused on something else.
"Did your waters just break?"
