I only own Bethany and Roger.
Suddenly, there was a loud incantation and the door got blasted several feet away from its' hinges. The gargoyles growled as Aang immediately went into a defensive position while Leo took out one of his katanas, still holding Bethany protectively with his free arm. In the next moment, Batman ran in, a batarang in each hand with Gandalf holding his sword close behind.
"Oh it's just you guys," said a relieved Aang as both Bethany and Leo let out sighs of relief.
"Okay, who's in charge of the gargoyles?" asked Batman, as the gargoyles were still growling and looked like they were just about to pounce on Batman and Gandalf.
"Oh down boys!" ordered Bethany. Immediately, the gargoyles stopped growling and sat back on their hindquarters.
"You created these? Your power is growing," commented Gandalf. The memory of how that came about made Bethany winced.
"Yeah, so it is," she mumbled while biting her lip. She saw that both Gandalf and Batman and gave her questioning glances. Please don't ask me…
"Are you all alright?" asked Batman as he put his batarangs back. Bethany let out an inward sigh of relief. They weren't going to ask her…
"Well…physically we are. B-but…" Aang started to explain.
"We know what happened to our loved ones," stated Gandalf. Renewed grief washed over Bethany like a waterfall and she felt she couldn't breathe. Pooh…Minnie...Suddenly Bethany gasped.
"Mickey! Mickey's in trouble!" Bethany cried, managing to put aside her grief for the moment.
"That's right! Roger was going to give him a present!" exclaimed an alarmed Leo.
"Roger? Certainly not Roger Rabbit, he was…" Batman left his sentence hanging in the air. Bethany felt a new pang of grief as she realized that Roger from Who Framed Roger Rabbit had been dipped as well. But she also put that aside, grief wouldn't help save Mickey.
"No, he's…an unanimated imaginer like me. He's the one who put the spell on the door so you guys wouldn't come through…though I think the only reason you guys could come enter was because.." Bethany couldn't finish her sentence. She might be able to face the shame of admitting that Roger was from her world and had the same powers as her. But she couldn't say the priest's name. Not yet.
"The villain from the Hunchback of Notre Dame died," said Leo, finishing Bethany's sentence for her. Bethany gave Leo a grateful glance. Then she saw the shocked faces of both Batman and Gandalf. Then their faces became calm and serious.
"We can talk more about this later. Right now, we have to save Mickey," stated Batman as he headed towards the doorway.
"Wait! I think I got a faster way…" said Bethany as she gently got out Leo's protective arms and took out a stone out of her pouch.
"Bethie, are you sure you can…?" asked a concerned Leo. Bethie nodded as she closed her eyes, concentrating.
"Don't worry about me. Mickey's more important at the moment," she replied as the stone became a small, round dark blue object with a small, round dark purple button. She held up the object up high.
"All of us to the front of the castle," Bethany said.
"Wakko and Dot stop pacing! You're making it worse!" exclaimed an agitated and anxious Timon.
"But I will go crazy if I don't!" exclaimed Dot.
"You're already crazy!" cried Timon.
"No we're not. We're zany!" corrected Wakko.
"Isn't that the same thi…WHAT THE HECK?!" yelled Timon. Mickey looked up and gasped when he saw what Timon saw. A dragon had risen up from the back-left tower.
"How did we not see that?" asked Dot.
"Either that tower has a very high wall or there was some type of door that the dragon flew out of…is someone riding that dragon?!" cried Mickey, his eyes widen as the dragon flew closer to them. As it flew closer, Mickey could see more clearly that there was indeed a figure on its back.
"Yep," answered Dot. Oh gosh…this can't be good. Mickey took out his rapier, and adjusted his musketeer hat, while preparing his mind for battle.
"It's one of the dragons from The Black Cauldron!" Wakko pointed out.
"Okay, is it just me, or is that guy an…" Timon left his sentence hanging in the air. Mickey squinted at the figure and gasped again.
"An unanimated," all of them said at once. How…unanimated people haven't been here since 1995 but now we have two of them? And this one is riding an evil dragon? Does this mean that this man is…evil? Suddenly, the dragon rapidly dove towards them.
"Watch out!" Mickey warned his friends as he dove to the side, performing a somersault when he hit the ground. He quickly turned around and felt a brief moment of relief when he saw that Timon and the Warners dodge the dragon safely, and were by his side. The relief was quickly replaced by tension when he saw that the dragon and its rider had landed on the same exact spot Mickey and his friends were before.
"Ah Mickey, finally we meet," said the man, not getting off the dragon.
"Hey, we're here too!" pointed out an offended Timon.
"Oh sorry Timon and Warners. But as the Master, I felt it is proper to talk to the leader first," said the man. What…did he just say?
"You're…the…"
"Yes Wakko, I am the Master. How much do I have to repeat it in order for your stupid mind to register it?"
"Hey, my brother is not stupid!" defended Dot angrily. Before Mickey could react, Timon was standing in front of Mickey, his arms held out like he was going to shield Mickey from an attack.
"Timon, what are you…"
"Mickey, I don't know why this unanimated guy is here, or why he is calling himself the Master but I do know one thing. For some reason he specifically wants you dead, but there is no way I'm going to let him do get to you!" cried Timon, sounding more determined than Mickey had ever seen him.
"Timon," Mickey said softly, shocked that Timon would go this far to protect him. Suddenly, the Warners were in front of Mickey as well.
"You see Master, if you want Mickey…" said Dot.
"You have to get through us!" cried Wakko. Guys, what are you doing?! I'm supposed to protect you, not the other way around!
"Ha ha…what lovely followers you have Mickey. But don't worry, because it is true that I want you dead, that moment has not yet come. First, here's a present." The Master took a leaf from the branch above him and suddenly the leaf changed into something that Mickey recognized as an IPad.
"You're...an imaginer too?" asked Mickey in shock. What is going on here? First off, why is an unanimated, let alone an imaginer, the Master of all the villains, the ones who kidnapped Minnie and the others? I thought…imaginers were supposed to be good guys…
"Please, call me Roger. And don't compare me to that amateur Beth," said Roger as he tossed the IPad to Mickey. Mickey automatically caught it, right before what Roger said registered in his mind.
"What…what have you done to her?!" he cried, anxious for his friend's safety. Mickey also felt a bit of anger in his stomach. If he has hurt Bethany in any way…
"And her name isn't Beth, it is Bethany or Bethie!" exclaimed Wakko angrily. Roger laughed.
"My, quick to jump to conclusions aren't we? Well, I guess I can't blame you…but your friends are alright…more and less." Before Mickey could ask what he meant by this, Roger pulled on his reins and the dragon lifted itself up from the ground and started to hover above them.
"Push the button and you will see your darling wife in her best moment." Then Roger pulled on the reins again the dragon flew into the sky, leaving Mickey and his friends behind.
"HEY! COME BACK HERE YOU CREEP! WE GOT QUESTIONS YOU NEED TO ANSWER!" demanded Dot, but to no avail because in the next moment, Roger was out of sight.
"Don't worry about him Dot. We don't need answers from him," said a stern Timon.
"But…are Yakko, Uncle Pumbaa, and the others okay? And why is an imaginer the bad guy?" asked Wakko.
"I bet our loved ones are okay they are just being moved to the Black Cauldron land. And…I guess to contrary belief, not all imaginers are heroes," answered Mickey.
"Then…why did he give you that? What did he mean by Minnie's best moment?" asked Dot, pointing to the IPad. Mickey looked at the black square object, with its one button and black blank screen. Why did Roger give him this? What did he mean by Minnie's best moment? Mickey desperately wanted to see Minnie again but…would he like what the object had to offer?
"I don't know…and I guess the only way to find out is to push the button," he answered. Mickey gulped before putting his rapier back in its sheath. He lifted his finger till it was above the button, praying that Minnie would be fine, that other than being kidnapped, she would be fine…
Then Mickey pushed the button. Immediately, the screen showed Mickey his darling wife, tied up in a dark, dreary dungeon. Mickey felt anger that his wife was tied up and put in such a horrible place, but he also felt relief that she looked fine as well. There were no bruises on her, or any other signs of maltreatment.
"WHOA! Where did you guys come from?!" exclaimed Timon. Mickey looked up and saw, with a huge rush of relief, that everyone who had entered the castle was right there in front of them. As well as four gargoyles.
"Where's Roger?!" said Batman, looking around urgently.
"He left after giving that thing to Mickey," answered Dot, pointing to the object in Mickey's hands.
"Yeah, he said it would show Minnie's best moment...now, aren't you going to tell us how you appeared out of nowhere?" said Wakko.
"Best moment?" asked Bethany. Mickey was to reply that Minnie was fine when a movement on the screen caught his eye. Fear and alarm entered his heart when he saw that two men had entered Minnie's cell.
"Why…why are Frollo and Two-Face doing in her cell? Wait…what was that coin toss for and…where are they taking her?!" cried Mickey, his heart pounding as orcs entered the cell and roughly picked up Minnie.
"NOOO!" cried Bethany. Before Mickey could react, Bethany rushed right up to him and hit the IPad, making it fly sideways out of his hands and crash into the tree with a huge crack.
"What was that for?!" exclaimed Mickey a bit angrily, as he saw the huge crack on the IPad screen. Now he will never know what happened…
"She wouldn't…she wouldn't want…" Bethany stuttered, her body shaking and her hands clenched into fists.
"Minnie wouldn't want what?!" asked Mickey, wanting to know the reason behind Bethany's behavior. Though the way Bethany was acting now was making him afraid of the answer…
"MINNIE WOULDN'T WANT YOU TO SEE HER GET DIPPED!"
Uh Bethie...was that the best way for you to break the news to Mickey? But then, you have just been through a lot...Anyway, please review and I will update as soon as I can.
