A/N I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING! I ONLY OWN THIS PLOT! Most of you were able to guess pretty close what Tommy's plan was. That means I have to try harder to hide his 'real plan' ;) Enjoy this chapter. My hours at work went back to part time (YAY!) So hopefully more time to write and more update for you lovely readers :D

Out in the woods with Tommy. He had just taken down two full grown bears when he finally stopped and took a few deep breaths. He felt awful. He hated being so mean to the others but they couldn't find out what he was planning or they'd try to stop him. But he had to do this. It was the only way to protect the ones he loved, especially Kimberly. He was the fastest and strongest he'd be ok. But this was the only one sure way to protect everyone he loved, including Jason.

Tommy arrived home a few hours later. The Cullen's were still out and the ranger minus Kimberly were sitting on the couch watching TV.

They all looked up at him, but didn't speak. He sighed. "Where is Kimberly?"

Jason stood up and crossed his arms over his chest. "Depends, what are you planning to say to her?"

Tommy sighed. He deserved that. Jason was just protecting his sister. Despite being a vampire Kimberly was his baby sister and he'd always protect her. "I just need to explain some things."

Trini walked over and slapped him on the head.

"Trini! What was that for?" he asked.

"For making my best friend cry! Jason can't do it without hurting himself so I did it. I don't know what got into you Tommy Oliver but if you ever make Kimberly cry again I swear it won't matter that you're a hybrid. I will destroy you from the inside out!"

"You guys were fighting like children. I had to do something to stop it."

"You made your wife cry, Tommy. I hope you know that. Kimberly is upstairs locked in her room crying her eyes out because of you!" Jason told him. "Normally I wouldn't let you near her, but she asked me to send you up when you got home. So I'm letting you go up there. I swear if you hurt her anymore…"

"I won't."

In a flash Tommy was gone.

He arrived in the bedroom. His non-beating heart broke. Kimberly was curled up on their bed just crying her eyes out. He sighed. "Kimberly, Beautiful, I'm so sorry."

She ignored him.

"Beautiful, please, talk to me."

"I'm not upset because you're keeping secrets. I'm upset because I know what you're planning to do!" she screamed.

"How do you know?"

"It's obvious! It's the only way to protect everyone and that's your main goal."

"Kimberly, Beautiful, you have to understand…"

"NO! I was kidnapped and tortured and sexual assaulted because they wanted you on their side. The entire time they tried to blame it on you, saying it was your fault this had to happen. If you had just agreed to go to their side I wouldn't have been hurt. I didn't believe them and I knew it wasn't your fault and I was glad you didn't go to their side! Now that's what you're planning on doing, after everything I went through, after everything we all went through to fight against them so you didn't have to join their side! You're betraying us, Tommy! You're betraying all of us! You're betraying me." She whispered the last part.

Tommy sighed and squeezed his eyes shut. He should have known she'd catch on. She knew him better than he knew himself. "Kimberly I…"

"No. Just go away. Please. I don't want to get any closer or love you any more than I already do if you're just going to walk away from us at the end of this."

"Kimberly please hear me out I…"

"No. I've heard enough. You're the leader and what you say goes."

Kimberly rolled onto her other side, her back to Tommy. "Just go away! You're hurting me more by standing there!"

Tommy sighed once more and nodded. He could come up with a good lie, but she'd see right through him, even without using her powers even if he used the loophole. She'd see right through him so he turned around and left the room. He squeezed his eyes shut growing angry. He knew this was the best idea but why did he feel so awful about it? There was only one person he could talk to. He teleported himself out of the house.

He landed on the floor of the command center. He stood and looked to Zordon. "Am I doing the right thing?" he asked. "Kimberly is crying and it's because of me. I hate it Zordon. Please tell me I'm doing the right thing?"

"Tommy, I cannot tell you I'm happy with the choice you've made to join the other side. It's not who you are to give up so easily. But your reasons for doing this are very honorable."

"That doesn't answer my question."

"I cannot give you the answer you're looking for. Only you can decide that."

Tommy sighed. "Will you at least tell me…does my plan work? Does Jason come out of this alive?"

"I cannot say."

Tommy growled.

"Tommy, I understand why you're doing this but you must remember Rita and Zedd have always threatened the life of your friends and even Kimberly to get you back on their side and you fought back against them without giving in."

"Yeah, but Rita and Zedd are powerless without The Volturi, they are the ones who want me. They are the ones who have real power to hurt the ones I love and care about."

"You've got a strong team behind you, Tommy. Do not lose faith in them."

"Half of them are still human. Even with all the protection they have it won't be enough. I'm not willing to risk their lives. Especially not the teens, they have their whole lives ahead of them."

"Tommy, as I've said before. I am not happy about what you've decided to do. However the reasoning is very honorable."

Tommy sighed. "I know and I'm sorry. But it's the only way."

He teleported back out, but didn't go home. Nobody wanted him there, that much was obvious. Now to find a place to stay. He decided to camp out in the woods. It's not like he needed to sleep. He made a small fire for light and just sat in front of it trying to figure out what he was going to do.

After a few hours a smell caught his nose and he sighed. "I figured it wouldn't take you long. I can hide it from Edward and Kimberly but not you."

Alice walked over to him and sat next to him. "I saw the whole thing."

"And, how does it play out?"

"You're right, Jason doesn't die."

Tommy sighed in relief.

"But Kimberly does."

"What?" Tommy yelled. "How!"

"A broken heart."

"But she's…"

"With you gone she's become so depressed and so sad she stops living and she stops feeding. She's waits until she's so starving and she'll go out and kill someone."

"No." Tommy shook his head. "Kimberly wouldn't."

"Without you, Tommy she has no reason to live. She won't die physically but she won't be the Kimberly Hart Oliver you know and love."

Tommy sighed. "If you saw, you know everything."

"Yes, and you need to tell Kimberly your full plan. She will keep your secret but it will also stop her from going down that path of no return."

"She has to believe everything, otherwise her reaction wouldn't be real."

"Tommy, you don't want to see her reaction during the battle."

"Why not?"

"She tries to kill herself. We are able to stop her, but she still makes the attempt."

"If I decide to tell her?"

"She's a better actor than you think."

Tommy sighed and nodded. "Ok, I'll tell her my full plan. Can you convince her to come here?"

Alice sighed and shook her head. "It's part of the reason I'm here. Nobody can get through to her. She's gone back inside herself. None of us can reach her."

Tommy growled and punched the ground. He had caused Kimberly to go catatonic. "You have to go home and get her to come out."

Tommy nodded. He stood up and he and Alice took off running.

They arrived back at the house and Tommy rushed upstairs to Kimberly.

"Well?" Edward asked.

Alice nodded. "I did what I had to do to protect Kimberly."

"And Jason?"

Alice sighed and shook her head. "His future is the same either way. In the end it's up to Trini if he lives or dies."

Edward nodded. Everyone waited in silence wondering what was going on upstairs.

After a few minutes Tommy came back downstairs, Kimberly was with him.

"I know it's a lot to ask, but we have to trust Tommy. He's doing what is best for all of us. I don't agree with what he's doing but I love him and I'll support him." She said.

"What did he say to you?" Jason asked.

"Just what I needed to hear."

"Now looks it's been a long exhausting day. We need our rest. Let's go to bed."

Everyone nodded and headed to their rooms. Edward looked to Alice before they left. She just nodded to him. Kimberly's future was safe. Now to find a way to protect Jason's.

Things were tense the next couple of days. The rangers trusted Tommy but didn't approve of what he was planning on doing. The Cullen's, well they lost all trust and respect for Tommy. Even Carlisle and Esme started questioning his loyalty to them. Things were tense and stressful on everyone, but the most being on Kimberly, because she knew something they didn't and it was hard not telling them.

One afternoon Tommy walked into his room to see Kimberly sitting on their bed looking at pictures from their wedding. She was sniffling softly. Tommy knew she was crying.

"We all look so happy." She said softly.

"We were." He agree walking over to her. "But you know what, Beautiful? We will be that happy again. I can promise you that."

"Why can't we be that happy now?"

"Because things stink right now. The Cullen's barely trust me, the rangers are slowly starting to doubt me. Everyone is stressed because of what Rosalie did, they are stressed about the battle coming up. It's just stress and worry right now."

"Why can't you just tell everyone the truth?"

"Because Beautiful, in order for The Volturi to believe it everyone else has to believe it."

"Why does this have to be the plan?"

"Because it's the only way to keep Jason and everyone else we love and care about safe."

Kimberly just looked down at the book and sighed. Tommy rubbed her back when his eye caught sight of one of the pictures and a light bulb went off in his head. He smiled widely. "I've got an idea."

"What?"

"Remember right before we left for our honeymoon we talked with Jason, we agreed to do something after we got back?"

Kimberly was quiet for a minute as she racked her brain trying to remember. Her eyes lit up. "A DOUBLE DATE!" she squealed.

Tommy chuckled. He hadn't seen her excited in a really long time. "Yeah. A double date, what do you think?"

"I love that idea! Just you and me and Jason and Trini oh it'd be so perfect!"

"Why don't you go talk to Jason and Trini about it. They are still angry at me for hurting you."

Kimberly sighed but nodded and flew down the stairs excitedly. Tommy smiled after her. The least he could do is give her some happy memories to remember once he was gone. This date had to be perfect because deep down they both knew it was going to be their last.

Kimberly was back up giggling like a little school girl. "They said yes, they said yes!"

Tommy laughed. It was good to see her so happy again. "That's great where are we going?"

"Um…oh I forgot to ask, be right back." In a flash she was gone again.

Tommy laughed and shook his head. Kimberly came running back up. "We're going to Angel Grove The Youth Center, then to the park."

That's where Tommy sighed. "Beautiful, you know how risky that is for all of us, don't you?"

"Jason said it would be ok. He would talk to Ernie and pay him to rent the place out so we can have the place to ourselves and then at the park…well there are so many people there. I don't think we will be recognized."

"Yeah, that's the problem. We don't know who still lives in Angel Grove and who has moved away. If just one person we used to know spots us…Kimberly we are in a lot of trouble."

Kimberly frowned and looked to her feet. "It's supposed to be a double date where none of us use our powers."

Tommy sighed and walked over to her and took her hands in his. "I know, Beautiful but being what we are isn't a power. We have to go someone where people don't know us."

Kimberly sniffed softly.

"Beautiful, please don't cry."

"I'm not." Kimberly lied.

Tommy sighed. "Beautiful, do you really want to risk exposing us?"

"No, but I just wanted to have a double date like we used to before I left to go to stupid Florida. Just you me, Jason, and Trini!"

"We can, just not in Angel Grove."

"We can't go anywhere in Reefside either, people know you and think you're dead!"

Tommy sighed. She had a good point, they really couldn't go anywhere without being seen. Unless they are linked together and he had them turn invisible, but that would get really hard after a while. "We can still do The Youth Center, but the park might be more challenging."

"But I was looking forward to go to park! That's always where we had our dates!"

Tommy sighed. He gently took her chin and lifted her head to look at him. "Beautiful, you are 100% right. I don't know how, but I'll do what I can to make it possible. If that's really what you want I'll make it happen."

"Really?"

"Yep! If you want it, you got it!"

"Yay!" Kimberly squealed.

Tommy smiled they shared a deep kiss. Now to figure out how to make it possible.
