"Can I walk you home after school?" Isa asked as we slowly made our way back to class.

"Um, sure…" I replied quietly.

Isa suddenly stopped walking and stared at my profile. Instinctively, I paused and faced him. He looked deep into my eyes, not even bothered by the few students watching curiously. I could feel my face grow hot.

"Isa. People are staring." I pleaded. Instead of releasing my gaze, he reached his hand and cupped my face in his palm. I could feel my heart race, I was sure it would beat right out of my chest. "Isa…" I muttered, unable to look away from his turquoise eyes.

"Change soon…" Isa muttered something but I couldn't quite make it out.

"What was that?" I breathed, caught up in the moment I wasn't even sure if I had said that out loud.

"You're very beautiful Namine." The way he said my name made my heart skip a few beats. Isa's serious face turned into a small smile as he lowered his hand back to his side. "Let's get back to class."

The rest of the school day went by in a blur, my mind was so preoccupied by thoughts of Isa's warm hand on my cheek, focusing on school was impossible. I was so relieved when the final bell rang before another wave of nervousness engulfed me. Walking home with Isa, would we have another moment like we did at lunch?

I tried to smile as natural as possible as I turned around and faced my tall suitor.

"Ready to go?" He asked kindly.

I nodded. As he led me out of the classroom, I made eyes with Sora and Kairi, who were watching eagerly. I gave an awkward wave as I continued forward. I knew I was going to be grilled with a thousand questions from those two later.

We passed the school gate, instead of going the direction of my home Isa was leading me towards town.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Somewhere different." He replied briskly.

My stomach churned and I couldn't help but feel the sensation that someone was watching. I stopped to look around. Isa stopped as well, but his body language seemed hurried.

"Why did you stop?" he asked.

"Something… something doesn't feel right." Isa gave me a forced smile.

"Everything is fine." I hesitated, still unsure. Isa took my hand in his and looked in my eyes. "I don't want our time together to end just yet."

His words felt so sincere, I let him continue holding my hand as he led me deeper into town.
