Hello, everyone before I start, I'd like to acknowledge that after almost a year long wait, Gravity Falls Season 2 premiers this Friday, August 1st at 9pm on Disney Channel. To celebrate, I am doing my own little fan fiction event that will go through Thursday when I update EVERY ONE of running my Gravity Falls Fan Fictions and crossover. Monday, July 28th, I updated the 1st Annual Gravity Falls Awards and published a new fan fiction I've been working on called Lost at Sea. On Tuesday, July 29th (yesterday), I updated Norrisville Lockdown, my Gravity Falls Crossover with Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja. On Wednesday, July 30th (today), I will publish the last chapter of Lord of the Falls before its two part finale. And finally, on Thursday, July 31st (tomorrow), I will update Digital Falls and Abduction. I will not update on Friday since that's the day season 2 premiers. So with that being said, here's the next chapter of Lord of the Falls. Enjoy!:

Twenty Eight: A Fight with Some Old Friends

"What are you saying?" Candy asked.

"Uh, are you deaf?" Robbie said. "He just said that if we fight the Ghoul, we'll lose."

Candy scowled at Robbie. "I know that!"

"Why are you saying that to us?" Dipper asked Mason. "I thought that when you were alive, we were allies."

Mason closed his eyes for a few seconds before re-opening them. Dipper noticed that even though the ghosts bodies were light blue, their eyes were all midnight black.

"I was your ally and I still am," Mason assured. "But as your ally, I have to tell you to turn back."

"Do you mean to tell us that The Ghoul is unbeatable?" Wendy asked.

Dustin and Mason nodded.

"That's impossible!" Gideon snapped. "Dipper, didn't the prophecy say that light and dark can bring him down?"

Dipper nodded.

"But you have to remember, now that The Ghoul is in the portal, he's stronger than he ever was before," Dustin said. "So light and dark won't be enough to defeat him."

"But that's why I brought along Mabel, Wendy, Candy and Robbie," Dipper said. "I have an idea for a new attack and if it goes as planned, The Ghoul won't even know what hit him."

"Besides, The Ghoul is just some overgrown goth with powers," Robbie added.

"Well, I have a question for you," Mason said. "Have you ever won a battle against The Ghoul?"

Dipper thought for a second. "Well…we did…I think…there was…he did…maybe…no, not really."

"Exactly," Dustin said. "If you couldn't beat him in the alternate dimension, what makes you think you can beat him now? Especially since he's more powerful now than he was before."

Candy tapped her chin. "I know we can trust Mason, but can we trust Dustin? I mean, he tried to start a rebellion to get rid of us 'freaks'."

Dustin put his hands together. "Look, I know we've had our differences, but trust me on this one. Don't fight The Ghoul."

Dipper sighed. "I don't know. It's actually very likely you two are right."

"It's because we are," Mason said.

"But even if that's true, I still don't think we should back down from The Ghoul," Dipper continued. "Even though he may be 'unbeatable', I still think we should at least try and fight him. I'd rather die trying than run away like a coward."

"Speak for yourself!" Gideon tried to run away, but Mabel grabbed him by the collar.

"I can't believe you're not listening to us! I'm trying to save your—" Suddenly, Mason squeezed his eyes shut and when he re-opened them, they were light blue like the rest of his body.

"Mason, are you okay?" Mabel asked.

"No, you need to ignore everything Dustin and I just told you!" Mason said as if struggling with some internal force. "The—The Ghoul is controlling us and trying to…psych you all out!"

Dipper slammed his fist on his palm. "I knew it! Do you know where can we find The Ghoul?"

"About 100 yards in that direction," Mason said as he pointed behind himself. "And one more thing…run. RUN!" His eyes turned back to black.

Wendy frowned. "What's that supposed to mean"

All of the ghosts surged forward in an attack mode.

"Oh no, what do we do?" Mabel panicked.

Robbie smiled. "Calm down, guys. They're ghosts. They can't touch us, let alone hurt us."

Suddenly, one of the ghosts punched Robbie in the stomach, causing him to double over.

Wendy smirked. "Man, this is not your day, Robbie."

Gideon began to zap at the ghosts with his black beams of energy, but they all just regenerated after being blasted back twenty feet.

"Guys, I won't be able to hold them back forever!" Gideon said. "What are we gonna do?"

Candy thought for a moment. "Okay, when I count to three, everyone jump!"

"What good will that do us?" Robbie snapped.

"Just trust me!" Candy snapped back. "One…two…three!" She, the twins, Robbie, Wendy, and Gideon all jumped up simultaneously and they landed on a cloud that formed beneath the six of them while they had been in mid air.

The cloud then flew over the ghosts.

"Uh, Candy, you're cloud is going the wrong way," Gideon said. "The way out of the portal is in the opposite direction you're taking us."

"We're not leaving the portal!" Dipper snapped.

After twenty feet, Candy landed the cloud and it disappeared.

All the ghosts turned around and ran towards the six of them.

"They're still coming for us!" Wendy said. "How do we stop them!?"

"Let me try something!" Robbie put up his hands and a line of fire that stretched a mile long appeared between the six kids and the ghosts.

Upon seeing the fire, all the ghosts stopped and looked around nervously, as if they didn't know what to do.

Mabel nodded with approval. "Congratulations, Robbie! You finally did something."

Well, there you have it. Chapter 29 (aka part one of my two part finale) will be published next week. But until then, I wanna know what you're favorite part of Lord of the Falls was up until this moment. You can let me know by submitting a review. But until next time…
