I have started a poll for the chapter after the next, go check it out in my profile.

So things were looking up and we found out that Santana knew about Kurt all along. Adam is in New York but will he try to see Kurt? Are there any more secrets to be revealed?

I own nothing.

Santana was anxious and relieved at the same time. She knew where Kurt was or she would soon know if she could figure out what KTEB meant. It sounded like a radio or TV station or maybe it was a motel or something. Santana sighed, thinking about it was getting her nowhere then she had an idea, rolling her eyes at not thinking about it straight away. There were some things only modern ways could solve and with that she pulled out her phone and went to the search engine.

Damn it all! His research was at a standstill and they were moving out in a few hours. It would go so much faster if the subject were parturient. Then a thought struck him, maybe he could get what he needed and wanted at the same time. After all the subject was not only easy on the eyes but seemed like he would be enjoyable too. He couldn't let this golden opportunity go to waste and it would all be in the name of science of course.

No news. It was now well past 24 hours, it was nearing the two day mark, and there was still nothing, not even a phone call. Blaine was at Kurt's apartment with Burt, who was taking a nap or trying to, Finn and Puck. Blaine had refused to go home after being discharged from the hospital the day before. His mom had tried to get the men to eat something, especially Blaine since the teen had not eaten since being sent home. Mercedes and Rachel had had to go back to Arizona, albeit reluctantly, to prepare for the new school term with Finn promising to keep them updated. It wasn't like they could do anything anyway. The police had interviewed Adam and had told them they were following leads after Kurt's picture had been posted on news sites and news channels.

Santana had called Blaine a couple hours ago and had sounded a little strange but not worried assuring Blaine that Kurt would be found soon. Blaine just prayed he WOULD be found. He felt like he was going mad with the waiting and that dream he had had in the hospital was super weird. They were miles away from any airport and planes didn't fly low enough to be heard were they lived so why had Kurt said the planes were keeping him awake? Did the dream even have any meaning? Blaine stood up from the sofa and walked over to the window by the dining table. He closed his eyes as memories washed over him.

He remembered the conversation they had had the day after Mercedes had surprised Kurt with a visit and found out Blaine was in Chandler and everything else. They had resumed their game of twenty questions but then Kurt had asked a really serious question.

"Ok next question."

Blaine watched as Kurt thought for a while. There were so many things they both wanted to know about each other.

"Ok here goes…" Kurt took a deep breath.

"If Adam hadn't done what he did and I had somehow convinced myself that I should be with him even after our kiss, would you have ignored your 'no poaching' rule you told me about and fought for me?"

"Oh wow…wow…that's a big question."

Blaine didn't know what to say, how to answer. He paused as he thought about the question and about what his brother had suggested. He had struggled with his no poaching rule with Kurt.

"Just tell me honestly Blaine."

"Honestly?...Honestly…Kurt I didn't think you existed to begin with. You had just been a fantasy in my dreams for as long as I could remember and I thought that was all you were ever going to be. Then I met you and WOW! It was like my world was suddenly filled with colour after years of being in black and white. I – I – I…I was so….stunned by you when I walked into the kitchen on your birthday. I mean there right in front of me was my dream come to life."

Blaine paused and chuckled to himself, giving Kurt a smirk before continuing.

"I can't tell you how many times, how I struggled to keep my hands off of you before, during and after the party. When I saw Adam hug and kiss you, I felt so irritated, so jealous that it wasn't me kissing you and I had only met you that morning. It was crazy the emotions that had been running through me. At that moment I had wanted to snatch you away from him and kiss you myself which I did do later. After telling myself all day to keep it together, you totally shattered my usually rigid control. Kurt that kiss in the kitchen…I'd never kissed anyone like that. I just had to, no needed to do it. If Cooper hadn't come in when he did, I know your parents would have gotten a shock."

Kurt had giggled at the image and Blaine had smiled at Kurt's cuteness. He remembered the emotions he had felt that night. He had felt wild, primitive, out of control but yet still had felt the need to take care of Kurt.

"I had been so angry at Cooper for tricking me when I came back here to spend the summer with him. He knew that I was confused about you and conflicted with everything and he even suggested I go after you, talk to you after I told him how I felt before and after the kiss. To tell you the truth I was going to wait until you came to New York, was putting together a strategy I had hoped, somehow, would convince you to give me a chance even as a friend and I was going to build on that. I was counting on the connection we had, the kiss we shared and our similar interests to help me. So yes, the answer to your question is yes. I would have fought for you even with Adam in the picture."

As soon as one memory faded another took its place. The first time they had made love, the night they had made up after Eli had caused so much trouble. Kurt had repeatedly stunned him with things that had melted his heart and deepened his love for the blue eyed beauty. Blaine leaned his forehead against the window. His heart still hurt a little.

SWAT teams arrived at the building across from Teterboro Airport exactly forty four hours, twenty two minutes and eight seconds after the abduction of Kurt Hummel. The building had come back registered to a shipping company, Roma Inc., had turned out to be bogus. As soon as the building was surrounded the recovery unit moved in. The tip had said that a person matching the description of Kurt Hummel had been seen being taken into this building at gunpoint so they were not taking any chances. The lower floors were quickly cleared and with a prayer of thanks for the minimum security, the team moved up to the sixth floor.

Finn watched Blaine for a little bit before going over to the teen. It had surprised him how quickly Blaine and Kurt had connected and during this past week he had seen how much his little brother cared for the curly haired boy. Now Blaine was clearly having as hard a time as him and Burt with this kidnapping thing. When Kurt had first told him about the 'Blessed' and 'Chosen' ones he had had a hard time processing it all. His first thought had been for Kurt and what this would mean for him. Kurt had assured him that he was coping and that Blaine was being very supportive. Finn knew Blaine was as protective of Kurt as he was, maybe even more so, from the display of anger he had seen the morning after the 'Adam incident' so he was accepting of Blaine though he would still keep an eye on him as Kurt's big brother of course.

Blaine froze suddenly as a wave of fear washed over him. Something was wrong. Was it Kurt? Had he been hurt? He opened his eyes and turned around when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"You ok dude? You haven't really said much since you arrived."

Blaine gave Finn a slight smile. What was there to say? Half of his soul was missing and he had no clue how to get it back.

"I'll be okay Finn…I just – "

Blaine was cut off by the sight of Burt on his cell phone struggling to put his jacket on with one hand.

"Yes…Ok…Yes Officer and thank you, thank you so much!"

Thank God. Thank you God! Burt's relieved mind kept repeating the same words over and over again. Thank God. Thank you God! Kurt had been found and rescued and he would soon be with his baby boy.

"Burt? Was that news on Kurt? Have they found him? Is he ok?"

Burt opened his eyes to look at the three faces in front of him, filled with a mix of fear and expectation and smiled as tears of relief rolled down his cheeks. He closed his eyes once more and tried to get a hold of his emotions before he answered.

The three younger men had become worried that something had happened to Kurt when they had seen the tears but Burt's smile had relieved their fears considerably. Finally Burt spoke, his voice gruff.

"Yes to all of the questions. They found Kurt and he is being airlifted to Ticsh Hospital. The officer in charge of the investigation called to inform me of the recovery and that he is sending a patrol car to take me to the hospital."

As soon as the words were out of his mouth, there was a knock on the door and all heads turned towards the sound. Finn, Blaine and Puck looked at the older man as he hurried to the door and opened it to reveal two uniformed officers.

"Mr Burt Hummel?" Burt nodded.

"Can you come with us please?"

"Yes of course."

Burt slowly and silently entered the hospital room where his son lay. Kurt looked so small and pale, so young laying there on the hospital bed. The doctors had told him that there was no evidence of trauma, even the rape kit had been negative, thank god. Toxicology screen, X-rays, ECG and blood panel showed no trauma or any lingering side effects of any of the sedatives and drugs given to him. Burt took a seat in the chair next to the bed, reaching out to take his youngest son's hand. They had been lucky to find Kurt when they did. Who knows what could have happened if they hadn't. Burt continued to look at Kurt, on his mind was what would Kurt be like when he woke up and what were they going to do if their secret was found out and how would they cope, Kurt especially. Heaven only knew how he would be accepted, how he would be looked at.

Burt had had to answer question after question from the doctors and police. The police had shown him pictures of the men they had arrested and asked if he recognised or knew any of them personally. The answer had been no, none of those men were the least bit familiar and he knew of no reason they would want to take his son. Of course he couldn't say what he now suspected.

"Mr Hummel? Mr Burt Hummel? You asked to see me?"

Burt had been so engrossed in his thoughts that he had not heard the door open. Turning around he saw a woman in a white lab coat who he supposed to be Dr Ylena Pierce, the Five Star doctor, so called because she had studied and completed five different areas of medicine (Andrology, Gynaecology, Endocrinology, Obstetrics, Perinatology). When Blaine had given him her name weeks ago he had been dubious and had hesitated to call her but after Kurt was abducted he had made the call and explained why he had contacted her. She looked much different than he assumed. The woman before him looked to be in her early fifties with greying blonde hair and gray eyes. She was tall and gave off an air of confidence and her smile was reassuring and bright.

"Is this your son? Is this Kurt?"

Burt came out of his daze and quickly answered the woman.

"Oh!...Er yes, yes he is. I umm... I hope our conversation and association can remain as confidential as I asked on the phone. Kurt is – "

"He is so beautiful…a real live unicorn! Wow!"

A real what?! Burt looked incredulously at the doctor. Was she alright? He hoped to God she wasn't some quack doctor. Where had Blaine gotten her name anyhow? Maybe he should rethink this?

"Err…Dr Pierce? Dr Pierce?"

"Hmmm?…Oh! Sorry you were saying something?"

"Ah…er…yes. I was saying…this secret has been in my family for generations. I know that the story sounds unbelievable but – "

"Oh I believe you. I've been looking for unicorns – I mean the possibility of male pregnancy for years. I had heard that there were a group of scientists experimenting with a certain enzyme that I believe your family carries. I also think that is who took your son. You did not receive a ransom call or note did you?"

Ylena had long suspected that she wasn't the only one who was doing this kind of research but she had heard rumours that less ethical methods were being used. After confirmation to her question the doctor nodded and continued.

"At the moment the police think that these men are just a bunch of crazies and as the lab had been stripped clean prior to their arrival all documentation was lost so they have nothing suspicious. Now I was looking over Kurt's notes and I see that he has a fever that seems to come and go?"

"Yes all the other tests came back clean, only the fever is worrying."

"Ok. If you have no objections I would like to see yourself and Kurt tomorrow afternoon at my hospital here in New York, say around three, and don't worry all my staff have been vetted and are trustworthy."

Blaine was getting impatient. What was taking so long? They had arrived at the hospital twenty minutes ago and had been questioned by police then Burt had been taken to see Kurt (only family was allowed to see him right now) and Finn had gone off to make a phone call. Personally he believed that was an excuse, he had seen the unshed tears in Finn's eyes when the doctors had confirmed that Kurt was ok and would be able to go home in a couple of hours.

Blaine was just anxious to see Kurt and verify with his own eyes that he was ok, that his future was ok then he would be ok. As soon as Burt came out then he and the others would be allowed in to see Kurt. Finn didn't have to wait with them but had opted to give Burt some time before they went in. Damn it! What was taking so long?

Santana and Abuela Rosa shared a smile at the image that was displayed in the mirror. The 'Blessed One' was finally back with his 'Chosen One' and now all they had to worry about was keeping an eye on Kurt over the next three years.

"I'm getting too old for all this excitement."

The elder sighed as the image dissipated and turned toward her young apprentices. Santana smirked at the old woman. Anyone else would have just taken it as just another joke but only Santana and the other, scowling, apprentice really knew how old she was. Brittany had wanted to go see the unicorn but her mother had said no. Santana had been shocked when her best friend and fellow cheerleader, Brittany, had showed up at Abuela Rosa's, who they had known for as long as Santana and her family had, a year ago and immediately started cheering that now she had someone to talk to about unicorns. Like her the other teen had been sworn to secrecy. Brittany had always been strange and had been passed off as academically challenged but had stunned her high school teachers by passing the entry tests for MIT and Stanford. When Santana had met her mom, Dr Ylena Pierce, she had seen where Brittany's err…quirkiness had come from. She had explained that unicorns were supposed to be mythical creatures and to see one meant that you would have a life of peace and blessings. Ylena also stated that a grouping or herd of unicorns was called a "blessing" of unicorns and that Kurt was a 'Blessed One' so it should be logical or something like that but whatever Santana just wanted Kurt to be safe.

Dr Pierce was the one who had actually given Santana the research materials and who had given her permission to give Blaine her number although she had not explained everything to the older teen. All this was so complicated and crazy. She knew she may have to tell Kurt everything one day but that day was not today. Santana looked at the gold and silver watch on her wrist and frowned. It had been four hours since she had given the police the anonymous tip so she should have heard something by now. Even though she knew Kurt was ok, she had expected a call or something from Blaine by now. Then again he was probably busy fawning over Kurt.

"Never again. Never again are you walking the streets by yourself."

Kurt rolled his eyes at his boyfriend. Blaine had been saying the same thing since he had been discharged from the hospital two hours ago. It wasn't that he didn't understand why and to be honest he was a little apprehensive as well right now to walk around Midtown and Greenwich Village by himself but he was coping, unlike his father, his brother and Blaine. Noah seemed amused by the whole scene and was standing off to the side with Denyse Anderson. This was not how he had wanted to meet Blaine's mom but you can't always get what you want can you?

He snuggled more into Blaine. This is what he had missed, craved when he had been taken. Kurt breathed deeply and Blaine's unique scent, a mixture of cologne and the older teen, surrounded him. He was home.

Yay! Kurt's back where he belongs! Champagne for everyone! Now the question is - will he still go aboard after all this? Hmmm...

So Brittany is related to Kurt in some way; this should be interesting.

And did the police really get ALL the men associated with the kidnapping?

Parturient - pregnant
