Third POV

Night arrived. The three stopped their chitchat to look outside.

"Thresh is dead?" Katniss questioned. The other two shrugged.

"They didn't show Clove, which means one night has passed since the feast. Today, Thresh died. Which means that it is just the three of us and Cato." Ivy said.

"Should be easy. Three vs one." Peeta commented. "And then, we go home."

Ivy laughed. "I wonder how Gale will react." She looked up. "I have no idea if I'm facing a camera, but hi guys! We'll be back soon!" Katniss smiled.

"I doubt we need to watch tonight. Everyone, sleep tight." The three slid into their sleeping bags and closed their eyes.

The next morning, Ivy woke up first. She stretched and walked over to the others. After a slight moment of hesitation, she grabbed a water skin and poured the water into another half filled one. Then, she walked outside and filled it. Coming back in, she dumped everything on the two.

They woke up shrieking and found Ivy laughing.

"I'm going to kill you, Ivy." Katniss groaned. Ivy continued to laugh.

Peeta walked outside and shouted for the two. They raced out.

"The water..." Peeta said, pointing. Before their very eyes, everything was disappearing. Ivy acted first and started to fill the water bags. The other two followed her example and they filled up most of the water bags.

"That wasn't natural." Ivy said after they finished. Peeta nodded. "They want us to gather."

"The Cornicopia." Katniss finished, the sighed.

"Well, everyone, eat up." They grabbed everything they had left and split it. Swallowing everything with water, the trio was refreshed.

Ivy stood up and stretched. "Let's get going." The other two got up and together, they walked toward the Cornicopia.

After a bit, they were a great rumbling. Katniss turned around and shrieked.

"RUN!" Ivy sneaked a look backwards and then immediately followed the retreating forms of Peeta and Katniss.

In less that half the time they would have taken walking, they reached the Cornicopia. From the opposite direction, Cato could be seen.

Quickly, they scaled the side and ran up. Peeta screamed suddenly.

Katniss turned around to look at him and yanked him up. They crouched on the top panting.

"Cato." Ivy gasped out. Sure enough, he was standing there, but in the same condition as they were.

Ivy recovered first, quickly followed by Cato and Katniss. Peeta was ready a moment later.

Cato smirked as the others prepared their weapons.

"What?" Ivy asked. Cato's smirk grew larger.

"You can't win."

"It's three against one."

Katniss replied, and then let an arrow flew. To their surprise, Cato didn't dodge. He merely let the arrow hit his chest...and bounce off.

"What?"

"Nice try, but a puny arrow like that won't even scratch my armor." With that, he charged, swinging his sword.

The three scattered and Cato went after Ivy. He snarled.

"I have a personal debt with you I need taken care off. You killed Clove!" Ivy dodged the sword, and attempted to stab Ivy. Ivy dodged and swept her foot in attempt to trip Cato. He jumped over her foot and was able to stab Ivy when a hand grabbed his arm and pulled him backwards.

Cato pulled out a dagger from his belt and was able to stab the person holding him down when that person pushed him away. Stumbling, he steadied himself in time to block an arrow from Katniss.

"Like I said, you can't beat me."

"We may not be able to, but they can." A voice whispered. Cato was tackled to the ground by Peeta, who shoved him to the side. At the last moment, Cato reached up and grabbed onto Peeta's arm.

"Nice try, lover-boy." Slowly, Cato began to pull himself up. Peeta screamed as his arm popped out of its socket.

Cato laughed. Katniss readied her bow, and an arrow went flying, striking Cato's exposed hand.

He let go and fell down. The three stood in shock as they heard the beasts that had chased them roar and Cato shout.

"Shoot him." Ivy whispered. "Shoot him! End his misery!" Katniss raised her bow and took aim, then lowered her arm.

"I can't. There are too many beasts."

Suddenly, Cato whooped with glee. He had found the weak spots on a beast.

Twisting and twirling, Cato stabbed the eyes of the beasts, and then broke off their collar. Soon, many of them were dead.

"I'm coming!" He shouted, as yet another dropped. Sure enough, out of the original 11, 4 remained.

"Katniss, now!"

"Not yet. He knows we are trying and keeps hiding behind the beasts."

The final beast fell down. Cato grinned, exhausted, wounded, but still alive.

Ivy cursed. "When he climbs up, he is most vulnerable. We must use that time."

Cato had begun to climb. Slowly, one by one.

"Now!" As one, Ivy and Katniss attacked his hands with a dagger and arrow respectively.

Cato screamed and fell down. Peeta jumped down and held him down. Katniss and Ivy quickly followed.

"You fought well, but goodbye." Ivy whispered, before stabbing Cato's exposed neck.
