1 year later...
The sun was shinning through the trees as a cool summer breeze made the trees as a cool summer breeze made the trees dance in delight. Back on the ground, Tauriel's veil fluttered in the wind as dozens of elves looked on. And what were they there for, you ask? They were they to witness the joining of two very special elves in front of them. Yes, today was the day of Tauriel and Legolas' wedding. Now, come readers, let us witness this joyous day...

Tauriel's heart was thumping wildly in her chest, and she had begun to sweat in her long white wedding dress that was flowing in the breeze. It also didn't help that she had decided to have sleeves. Legolas, who stood opposite to her, was also very nervous, but perhaps to a lesser extent.
"We are gathered here today," the priest began. "To witness the joining of these two elves of Eryn Lasgalen." He turned around, then turned back holding a tree sapling.
"This tree sapling has been blessed by the powers of Valar," he declared, placing it on the ground. "Plant it where you live," he added. He then waited for a moment, as if expecting something.
"Please join hands," he finally told them.
Legolas and Tauriel both obeyed, then the exciting part of the ceremony came.
"Now, do you, Legolas Greenleaf, son of Thranduil, swear to stand by Tauriel's side, in life and in death, through sickness and in health?"
"I do."
"And do you, Tauriel, swear to stand at Legolas' side, in life and in death, through sickness and in health?"
"I do."
"Then by the power if Eru, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
Like every human wedding, Legolas lifted up Tauriel's veil, and the two kissed. And though they weren't aware of it, as they kissed, they were beginning to start the next chapter of their lives. Together. What they also didn't notice at the time, was a familiar blond elven princess sitting in the audience, watching every minute of this joyous celebration.
But even though Legolas and Tauriel were starting a new chapter of their lives, that didn't mean danger wasn't awaiting in the future. Dark things were beginning to emerge from Dol Guldor, and thought the elves weren't aware of it right then and there, they would play a major part in the fate of Middle-Earth.

Sorry if the chapter was too short. I tried to recherche elven weddings, but they were all so confusing. In the end, my good friends Aldalin and Mithorn helped me. I should have the next book up in a few days, but I will post the title and summery in here. Finally, before I end this note, I just want to say thanks to all my wonderful followers and everybody who has supported me through this fanfic, it really helped a lot. Hopefully I will see you all in the next book! -Mallowbloom
