Enter Luke, Han, and Leia, returned to their original forms.
Luke looks around, then notices Leia kneeling over an injured Han.
Luke. [alarmed] What happened to him?
Leia. Ripped.
Leia shows Luke where Han's arm is missing a chunk of flesh.
Luke, quickly. In my bag, there's a bottle labeled "bacta."
Luke. Bag, right.
Luke looks through Leia's bag.
Leia. Quickly.
Luke telekineses the bottle of bacta toward him, then heads back toward Han and Leia.
He's fainted. Unstopper it for me, Luke. My hands are shaking.
Luke unstoppers the bottle. Leia pours bacta on Han's wound, which immediately heals. Han stops bleeding, and the would looks several days old.
Luke. Bloah.
Leia. It's all I feel safe doing. The Art of the Small and curato salva would both put him right. But I dare not try them in case I do them wrong and cause more damage. He's lost so much blood already.
Luke. How did he get hurt? I mean, why are we here? I thought we were going back to the Negotiator.
Leia. Luke. I don't think we'll be able to go back there.
Luke. What do you . . . ?
Leia. As we Force Traveled, Suldar got hold of me, and I couldn't get rid of him. He was too strong. And he was still holding on when we got back to the Negotiator. And then . . . well, I think he must have seen the door and thought we were stopping there, so he slackened his grip. And I managed to shake him off, and I brought us here instead.
Luke. But then, where is he? Hang on . . . You don't mean the Negotiator? He can't get on there.
Leia. Luke. I think he can. I forced him to let go with Force Repulse. But I'd already taken him inside the White Current's protection. Since Yoda died, we're Infinite Spirits. So I've given him the secret, haven't I?
Luke. [aside] There's no pretending. I'm sure she's right. right. This is such a serious blow. If Suldar can now get on board the ship, there is no way that we can return. Even now, Workan could be bringing other Sith in there by Force Travel. Gloomy and oppressive though the ship is, it was our one safe refuge. Even, now that PROXY is so much happier and friendlier, a kind of home. With a twinge of regret that has nothing to do with food, I imagine the droid's busying himself over the dessert we will never eat.
Leia. Luke, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Luke. Don't be stupid. It wasn't your fault. If anything, it was mine.
Luke takes out Bel Iblis's cybernetic eye.
Daala had stuck it to her office door, to spy on beings. I couldn't leave it there. But that's how they knew there were intruders.
Han awakes.
Leia. How do you feel?
Han. Lousy. Where are we?
Leia. On a planetoid where they held the Smashball Galactic Cup, in the forest. I wanted somewhere enclosed, undercover. And this was . . .
Luke. The first place you thought of.
Han. Do you think we should move on?
Luke. I don't know. Let's stay here for now.
Leia rises to her feet.
Han. Where are you going?
Leia. Force protection. I don't want another visit like we had on Alderaan, do you?
Leia performs several Force illusions, a wall of light, words of banishment, and the disruption bubble generator.
You could get out the tent, Luke.
Luke. Tent? Where am I supposed to find a tent?
Leia. In the bag.
Luke. In the . . . Of course.
Luke telekineses the tent toward him, the same tent Jonash used at the Smashball Galactic Cup.
I thought this belonged to that guy Peckhum at the Imperial Palace.
Leia. Apparently, he didn't want it back. His lumbago's so bad. So Jonash said I could borrow it.
Leia uses the Force to set up the tent.
Leia. That's as much as I can do. At the very least, we should know they're coming; I can't guarantee it will keep out Sid . . .
Han. [harsh] Don't say the name.
Luke and Leia exchange looks.
I'm sorry. But it feels like a Force illusion or something. Can't we call him You-Know-Who, please?
Luke. Yoda said fear of a name . . .
Han. In case you hadn't noticed, kid, calling You-Know-Who by his name didn't do Yoda much good in the end. Just . . . just show the Emperor some respect, will you?
Luke. Respect?
Leia shoots Luke a warning look.
Luke and Leia help Han into the tent.
Han closes his eyes and does not speak for a while.
Leia. I'll make tea.
All drink tea.
Han. What do you think happened to the Pressors?
Leia. If the Force is with them, they will have gotten away. As long as Guardian Pressor had his wits about him, he'll have transported Madam Pressor by assisted Force Travel, and they'll be fleeing Coruscant right now with their children. That's what Luke told her to do.
Han. Minions of Xendor, I hope they escaped. I didn't get the feeling Jorad Pressor was all that quick-witted, the way everyone was talking to me when I was him. Kriff, I hope they made it. If they both end up on Kessel because of us . . .
Leia looks at Han tenderly.
Luke. So, have you got it?
Leia. [startled] Got what?
Luke. What did we just go through all that for? The amulet. Where's the amulet?
Han. You got it? No one tells me anything. Minions of Xendor, you could have mentioned it.
Leia. Well, we were running for our lives from the Sith, weren't we? Here.
Leia takes out the amulet of Exar Kun.
Han. There isn't any chance someone's destroyed it since PROXY had it? I mean, are we sure it's still a clone?
Leia. I think so. There would be some sign of damage if it had been destroyed.
Leia passes the amulet to Luke.
Luke. I think PROXY is right. We're going to have to work out how to open this thing before we can destroy it.
Luke has a sudden urge to throw away the amulet. Mastering himself, tries to open it with the Force, then passes it to Han.
Han. Can you feel it, though?
Luke. What do you mean?
Han passes the amulet to Luke, who feels the amulet, almost sensing a beating heart.
Leia. I hate it. It's like he's here with us.
Luke. That's why we're going to kill it.
Luke puts the amulet around his neck.
I think we should take it in turns to keep watch outside the tent.
Exit all.
