OMG NOOOOOOOOOOEEEESSSS! Will thiefshipping survive?! Who knows?!
A quick recap: Yami Bakura and Marik take Marik's motorcycle to the alleyway they met in to talk about their relationship. Marik reveals that he actually did have feelings for Yami Bakura in Battle City, but acted in a certain way to manipulate how their relationship turned out and to make it more interesting, especially for the fangirls. Yami Bakura takes this to mean that Marik didn't care about his feelings and cared more about the fangirls, and he leaves they alleyway abruptly after giving Marik a kiss goodbye.
Okay anyway at first I had wanted to split this chapter in two. Then I decided not to because I thought it was it necessary. But then I changed my mind and did split it. I am trying to go back to the original style of how I was doing this, starting with the POVs based on whether Ryou was called "Ryou" or "Bakura, and also trying to give you more chapters by splitting them where appropriate.
This story officially has more reviews and follows and faces than Flattening Down the Bunny Ears and 14YGOPTID(R)S, once again. Thanks again to everyone who has followed and stuck with this story from the beginning, thanks to the fans of my other stories who decided to read this one, and thanks for all the newcomers who are here for the first time! Love you all and you are the reason why I keep writing!
R&R
ENJOY~!
Marik stood there silently and stared at the end of the alleyway, where Bakura had been only moments before.
He sighed loudly and bowed his head. His shoulders sank. "What the [EFF!] have I done...?" he asked aloud in a pained whisper. If only he had given me a chance to explain...
Marik knew it would be a bad idea to follow him or try to call or text him. It would only make things worse. Marik enjoyed pissing Bakura off most of the time. But if there was one thing Marik knew about the spirit it was that when he was in an angsty mood and wanted to be left alone, you left him alone or else blood would be shed.
He sighed again. He moved over to his motorcycle and leaned against it.
So...what now? he wondered.
Well, you could always do something with the Rare Hunters while you wait for him to talk to you again.
"What would I possibly have to do with them right now? And at such a distressing time like this?!"
Talk with that new Steve chick. She needs brainwashing.
"She can wait. There are more important things to worry about right now."
Well she isn't going to Mind-Slave herself, that's for sure.
"I've got hat taken care of. I already told one of the Steves that I'll meet with her at a later date. Today shall not be that date because there are more important things to worry about!"
Like?
"Like Bakura, obviously!"
Well what are we going to do about him? Like right now? There isn't anything to be done at the moment. He totally hates you right now and won't talk to you.
"Bakura would never hate me...would he?"
He wouldn't. But he's not going to see or talk to you anytime soon.
"So...what now?"
I don't know. You think of something.
"You think of something!"
But I'm you. You're having a conversation with yourself.
"If I'm you, then telling you to do something is the same as me telling myself to do it."
Then go do it!
"Maybe I will!"
And with that, Marik turned around, put his helmet on, mounted his motorcycle, and started it.
The only option that seemed like a good idea was heading back to the hotel. That was the option Marik was choosing.
He made a perfect U-turn, expertly done considering the size of the alleyway, and drove back the way he came. Once he exited the alleyway, he drove in the direction of the Toki-Cari hotel.
~Meanwhile...~
As he walked, he passed by an internet café with free wifi.
He took his iPod out of his pocket and went on the internet to his FF.N account. He went into his story alerts. He checked "ThiefSlipping" and removed the story from his story alerts.
He put his iPod back in his pocket. Then he turned off his phone and also put it back in his pocket.
He walked on.
Just to clarify, Marik WAS having a conversation with himself. He wasn't talking to Melvin. He also did this when he was on the way to the pet store, which was about a bajillion chapters ago.
(Speaking of which, just to put things into perspective... Chapter 11 was when Marik kissed Ryou. Look how far this story has come.)
Next chapter gets a bit interesting in terms of who shows up in it. It also gets a bit confusing, but the confusion should sort itself out by the end of the chapter.
See you next chapter!
BYEEEEEEEEEEE~!
