It had been a few days since the kissing incident with Jimmy. I was glad to know that it was Beth that he was really in love with. He told Daryl that he was nervous and confused and that's why the kiss happened. Even though the issue had been resolved I still kept my distance from Jimmy. I didn't need another kissing mishap or for Daryl to think that I wasn't one hundred percent devoted to him.

Thankfully our event was unknown to our people. I was glad. I didn't want to deal with looks from people. A lot of the time our group still shunned away from mine and Daryl's relationship. It was still had for them to accept the two of us. It never bothered me though. Their opinion didn't matter to me one bit.

The camp was in good spirits that day. Hershel had finally decided that he was going to let us stay on the farm. Things were still tense with everyone and Shane. He still walked around like he was the victim of all the events that had transpired. The only one that stuck with him was Andrea. Of course that was no big surprise.

A lot of the rest of the farm just avoided him.

It was getting colder at night and Daryl and I had decided to pack the tent up and start sleeping in the back of the HHR.

I was taking inventory of things as I was putting them away. I was running low on shower items and razors. I was sure that with the time we had been on the farm that everyone else was probably running low as well. That meant a run into the nearest town. I knew that Glenn and Maggie had gone in a couple times, but one time went badly.

I grabbed my purse and pulled out my meds bag. Excedrine migraine, ibuprofen, and Benadryl were all still in good shape. My birth control pills on the other hand were not. I had less than a week left. Daryl and I had never used condoms, and I didn't want to but I also wasn't about to get knocked up during the end of the world either.

I sighed as I closed up the bag.

"What's wrong?" Daryl asked as he zipped up his bag.

"I'm almost out of birth control pills." I answered.

"Oh." He replied.

"And just about everything else." I laughed slightly.

"I guess that means we need to make a run into town." He stated.

"Yeah." I answered flatly as grabbed my bag and followed him out of the tent.

After getting our essentials loaded inside the car we tied the non-essentials to the top along with the tent.

We went up to talk to the group shortly after. I asked everyone how they were doing on personal supplies.

Everyone else was pretty much in the same boat as Daryl and I were.

"Ok so we all can't go to town so everyone is going to have to make lists." I informed them.

"Glenn and I will go." Maggie offered.

"Yeah." Glenn agreed. "We have already been, and we pretty much know the situation in town.

"Are you sure?" I asked. "That's an awful big list for just the two of you."

"Not a big deal" Maggie smiled. "We will take the horses and load up the saddle bags. We won't be gone long at all."

I smiled back at her. I was glad that she and Glenn had made up after the barn tragedy. They really were a completely adorable couple.

Within thirty minutes Glenn and Maggie were off with everyone's list. I worried about their safety. What a mess we would all be in if something happened to them because they had to go get shampoo. It wasn't like they hadn't encountered trouble once before when they went into town.

I worked on mine and Daryl's laundry while we waited for Glenn and Maggie to return. Daryl had disappeared somewhere with Rick. I wasn't told where, but where ever it was they took one of the cars.

Lori looked lost in thought and worried when I made my way to the clothes line with my basket.

"Something on your mind?" I asked as I grabbed some clothes pins.

"Nothing really." She replied. "I asked Rick to talk to Hershel about us maybe staying in the house with it getting colder out."

I nodded. "That would be wonderful. Do you think he will go for it?"

"I can't tell." She shook her head. "I know he has lightened up on everything around here, but that is still his house and he still has a problem with some of us." She finished as she looked in Shane's direction. He was down by the barn using his constant anger to chop fire wood.

"I know." I agreed as I hung up a shirt.

As I waited for the clothes to dry I decided to go for a walk. I had my gun and knife on me in case anything happened. I also told Lori where I was going.

"I really wish you wouldn't." she voiced her concern.

"I will be fine." I smiled. "If Daryl gets back before I do please tell him where I went."

"Will do." She sighed and went back to her work.

I walked the dirt road away from the farm. I was feeling a little stir crazy waiting for something to happen.

My walk was very uneventful and I returned to the HHR about an hour later. Nothing was different. Nobody that had left that day had returned. I was beginning to be concerned just as I heard the sound of horses coming up the drive. I could hear Glenn and Maggie laughing and I took that as a good sign that nothing had happened on their trip.

"Sorry it took us so long." Maggie smiled as she dismounted near me. "We had to go to a couple of different places to get most of the stuff."

"I'm just glad you guys made it back safe." I told her as she dug in her saddle bag for the things from mine and Daryl's list.

"I wasn't able to get everything." She confessed as she handed it to me.

"Let me guess." I looked in the bag. "No pills."

"Sorry." She told me sincerely.

"No problem." I smiled as I saw the box of condoms in the bag. "Thank you so much for going."

"No big deal." She started to lead her horse away. "I needed some things too." She smiled with a wink.

I laughed as I turned to put the stuff in the HHR.

It was close to dark and I was sitting in the back of the car watching a movie when Daryl and Rick finally returned. I was kind of pissed about being left all day without an explanation so I didn't run out to say hello.

Daryl asked T-Dog a question and he pointed at the car. I was pretty sure he was asking for my whereabouts.

The hatch opened and Daryl climbed in. I didn't acknowledge him.

"Come on Anna." He said rubbing his fingers down my leg. "Don't be like that."

I shivered under his touch. There wasn't a time when he touched me that I could ignore him.

"Where were you today?" I asked turning my attention to him.

"Doing a few things." He informed me. "Rick needed some help with a few things, he needed to talk about Shane, and we found a department store and loaded up the car."

My face lit up. "I'm mad at you, you know."

"I know." he smiled before kissing me.

"So." I asked after the kiss broke. "What did you find at this department store?"

Daryl smiled. "Guns, ammo, clothes, food, and some other things."

"That's awesome!" I exclaimed.

Daryl reached out of the back of the car and grabbed two bags, one for him, and one for me.

I smiled. There were some clothes, my size that were awesome, a bunch of ammo for my desert eagle, and a jar of pickles. I smiled like it was Christmas morning.

"I had to give up the food for the group, but I couldn't keep the jar of pickles from you." He smiled.

"Oh Daryl, you're the best." I squealed jumping into his arms.

I kissed him passionately. When the kiss broke I was still sitting on his lap with my hands on his chest.

"Oh yeah there is one more thing." He added as he reached into his pocket.

I couldn't imagine what else he could add to this wonderful night.

"Close your eyes."

I did as I was told.

"Open your eyes." Daryl instructed a few moments later.

What I saw blew me away. Between Daryl's fingers he held the most beautiful silver engagement ring. The Diamond set high in the center surrounded by purple stones on the band.

I tried to speak but I choked on the words. I looked from the ring into the eyes of a very nervous Daryl Dixon.

"Anna Shay O'Gowen, will you be my wife?"

I just stared at Daryl in disbelief. I couldn't speak. I was so far beyond shocked.

After a moment I started to cry all I could do was nod my answer.

Daryl smiled and put the ring on my finger before kissing me. We barely got the back hatch closed before we were both completely naked.
