Hi there Reader LeafeonLover is back ^-^

So close to 500 reviews already seems like it was only last chapter I got to 400

Anyway this chapter doesn't have many of the movie scenes

I basicly made up half (if not more) of it

and I'm surprised none of you noticed anything strange about Isis last chapter

other than her thrust for revenge it seems :D

oh well it wasn't that obvious anyway

but this chapter I'd say it gives her centre away completly

so I hope your all still looking for clues ;)

When the Lights Go Out

-At Pitch's Really Creepy Lair-

Jack leapt from cage to cage like a damn green tree frog and flung the cage doors open, for some reason they were no longer locked. Okay the reason was 'cause there was no reason to lock them.

"Come on let's go" Jack yelled trying to get the Baby Tooths out of the cage.

The Baby Tooths twittered franticly twitching they're wings in an attempt to take off.

"None of them can fly" I yelled to Jack from the ground "Just like how I can't" I added in a low tone while blowing a strand of hair out of my face.

That's why the cages aren't locked if the things inside can't fly they can't escape no matter what. I sighed deeply; you know that saying about how you don't know what you have until you don't have it anymore, that's how it was for me and flying.

I had forgotten how it felt to have gravity dominate you, and let me tell you it wasn't a good feeling. On top of that I have this annoying ringing noise in my ear that won't go away like a mosquito was stuck in my ear canal or something.

Jack flew down to me hovering just off the ground "What's wrong Isis" he asked worriedly taking my hand.

"They can't fly Jack…" I trailed off taking a deep breath "And neither can I".

Jack floated there for a moment his eyebrows knitting together "Why, Why can't you guys fly" he asked gripping my hand tighter as the temperature in the room dropped a few degrees.

I struck a thoughtful pose "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell I'm not certain myself but I'd say it has something to do with that" I told pointing at the globe successfully directing Jack's attention to it.

The lights fizzled out faster and faster and that ringing noise in my ear became louder and louder. With each passing moment more disappeared each like a little knife being imbedded in my heart. Jack leapt over to the globe and still having a vice like grip on my hand brought me along with him.

"They're all going out" Jack realised, thank you captain obvious.

"Almost all of them are gone" I added as the noise in my ear grew softer and stopped only to be heard again when a light went out.

Then everything was quiet all the lights were gone well all accept one right on top of the globe. Jack climbed on top of the globe to get a better look the golden glow lighting up his face with happiness.

I smiled too grabbing onto the globe with both hands "Jamie" we both cried with joy knowing there was still hope.

Then Jack looked at me all serious which was so weird it make me want to giggle "You, stay, here" he instructed before walking away toward the exit staff in hand.

"WHAT" I shouted "NO WAY" I ran after him.

"It's safer for you here besides you can't fly" Wow Jack this is a great moment to be protective of me.

"Just 'cause I can't fly doesn't mean I can't fight" I told him confidently.

Besides the best part of the movie was coming up and I do not want to be the one to miss it.

"Maybe so but your still more vulnerable now" I hate it when he actually has a point but still.

"SO WHAT, we're a team you and me and I know you'd be eating dirt if I weren't there to look out for you" I said smugly folding my arms.

"It's different this time" Jack mumbled looking away.

"LIKE HELL IT IS, I'm going whether you like it or not and that's final" That put him in his place.

Jack's face twitched with a crooked smile then he chuckled "That's what I always liked about you Isis you're fiery, sarcastic but at the same time fun and caring, but unfortunately for you it isn't your choice" then he took off into the tunnel that lead outside and out of sight.

"Jack, JACK YOU GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE" I ordered angrily, I can almost envision the steam coming out of my ears and a train whistling.

"I'll come back and get you when it's safe" and that's the last thing I heard from him. Now pacing the cave I was mostly thinking 'When I get out of here I'm gonna kill that winter spirit'.

'How do you kill an immortal though' also 'How the heck am I gonna get out here'.

I didn't have enough magical energy to teleport myself or even fly out so I was stuck until I thought of a better way. 'Why did Jack have to leave me here' I sighed.

'He's way too overprotective for his and my own good and no matter how smooth talking and handsome he is, he's gonna pay for this'.

-One Minute Later-

'He's so dead when I find him, I'm gonna snap his neck like a twig snap. Okay enough ways to kill Jack thoughts and more how to get out of here thoughts', I told myself.

'Okay think Isis think, I could try climbing out but that might result in a broken neck for me and not Jack soooooo no'.

'Maybe I can use these magic cards to get out of here' I thought playing with a card. I might have enough energy to change it into something but it'd have to be the right thing.

'Hmmm some rope no, a grappling hook gun no, aaaaa uuummmm JETPACK YES….. no'.

'I need something that can get me from here to Jamie's house not just out of the creepy lair hole'.

'Oh what I would give to be able to teleport right now…. Hey wait a second YES epiphany moment'.

I grinned happily yet evilly I'm sure old Santa Clause wouldn't mind if I borrowed something from him.

-At Jamie's house Jack's PoV-

I'm sure Pitch will be coming after Jamie soon and I know I must protect him. Pitch can't have one child spreading belief among other children now can he. I feel bad leaving Isis alone in Pitch's lair but it was for her own good.

Sure all hell will break loose when I go back to get her, but at least she'll be okay. I can handle Pitch by myself anyways; he's not that strong after all. I breathe in then out slowly the wind whipping past me as I fly; I'm the only one that can do this.

Then a thought crosses my mind, if Isis is in such bad a shape what will the guardians be like? My thoughts were interrupted when something flung out and whacked me right in the face just I came to Jamie's window and man did it hurt.

I rubbed sore cheek which was beginning to turn purple due to my not so common complexion. I looked up to see the form of Isis looming over me and she looked angry.

-Back to Isis's PoV-

"I-Isis how did you get out" Jack stuttered in surprise.

"You make it sound like I've escaped from Alcatraz or something Jack" I growled crossing my arms.

I feel a little better now having given Jack a little reminder of how we were a team in the form of a hand shaped mark on his face. "How did you get here" Jack repeated annoyed while rubbing his cheek.

"Let's just say North needs to keep better watch over his snow globes" I grinned deviously, well we knew that ever since a three year old got her hands on one.

"Okay new question how did you get your hands on one of North's snow globes" Jack asked obviously angry that his 'brilliant' plan to keep me safe had failed.

"Does it matter, the whole reason I'm doing this is so you don't get your ass kicked" I huffed still fuming.

"The whole reason I left you behind was so you wouldn't get your ass kicked" Jack mimicked me which is really annoying just so you know.

I narrowed my eyes "Listen here snowflake you were alone for a long time I get it, but you need to realise that when your part of a team you never fight alone" I lectured him and cursed myself for sounding rather motherly.

Jack glared back at me "You're right I was alone, for over 300 years in fact, but I still know what it means to be a part of a team and I also know what it means to protect someone".

"You can't always protect people Jack and like it or not, Pitch isn't someone either of us can fight alone" I reasoned.

Jack looked a little guilty "I know" he said quietly.

Man don't you hate it when people make that face that just makes you want to forgive them, well I know I hate it. I breathed in deeply my anger slipping "Tell you what; I'll forgive you if you promise never to do that again, got it".

'Cause he knows I'll just break out again anyway. Jack contemplated this for a moment "Deal" Jack agreed smiling lopsidedly.

"Alright…" I said looking at him suspiciously "Well Jamie's just inside and I'm sure Pitch will be here very soon" Jack only grins like that when he's up to something.

The very moment I turned my back on him he constricts me from behind and whispers something in my ear.

YAY!

Getting close to the end now aren't we *sad face*

oh well as they say nothing lasts forever

so Yeah Isis can't fly anymore which is sad

Everyone should remember they're dominated by gravity

so don't anyone go throwing themselves off building just so they can fly (or fall) like Isis ;)

and I know someone is gonna ask if she can't how'd she get to Pitch's lair

so I'll tell you now

the answer is you figure out a way

its movie magic people or rather fanfiction magic don't question it

I could (or have) think of a way but then you wouldn't get to use your imagination :D

anyway I tried to add a bit of humour to this chapter hope u liked it ^-^

and the question is

What do you think Jack whispered?

If you have any questions, suggestion or guesses just send them in on a review or pm me ;)

Also I hope lots of people will review and get me over the 500 reviews mark

and remember that lucky 500th reviewer will get a special mention in the next chapter

as well as cookies made by me with love and care :D (::)

SOOOOOOOO YOU'D BETTER REVIEW BETTERN'T YOU (LOL)

Until next time
