Annabeth
From reports the scouts have given us, it seemed like our forces were pushing Octavian's off our borders. This was good. If we wanted to enact our final battle plan, we needed to be at Octavian's castle.
To push the enemy back, Clarisse and I decided to switch troops every 8 hours. This way soldiers could eat something, get some rest, and do whatever they wanted for 16 hours. When they are placed back in the battlefield, they are well-rested and ready for battle. So far, it's been working.
The three groups of soldiers were being led by Percy, Jason, and Nico. Currently, Jason's group was in the battlefield. My group, meaning Percy's group was going to be switching in 2 hours. Until then, Luke and I were directing orders to the non-combat troops. Our citizens were kind enough to offer their help to us. Since many citizens don't know how to fight or know very little about combat, they have been helping us in different ways.
Doctors and nurses from around our lands have gathered at Apollo's kingdom. If any soldier is injured he or she is to report to there. Blacksmiths in the region have come to Hephaestus's kingdom. They create weapons that fit well with the user, making it the right size and weight for them. People who do want to participate in war go to Ares's kingdom and are taught combat training there. People who are farmers or good at gardening go to Demeter's kingdom. Supplies were being transferred through a trade system that the Hermes's and Aphrodite's kingdom were managing. It was all a big help.
"Annabeth. Time to get ready" Percy said, walking over to me, as I gave out some orders to a woman.
I looked at a clock nearby. I had one hour until I headed into the battlefield. I sighed it was time to get ready for battl
I walked over to Luke and told him that we had to go in an hour. He nodded, appointing someone to lead the non-combat Personal, until Clarisse got back.
Piper
When I first found out I could charmspeak, I was a little doubtful about its usefulness. Now that I'm using it in battle, I have to say I love it.
"Leo duck!" I yelled. He bent over, dodging an axe to the head by an inch.
"Thanks beauty queen!" He yelled back, resuming his fight. I went back to mine.
"Rude of you ignoring me" snarled a storm spirit, who introduced himself as Dylan.
"Sorry I didn't know you were offended" I replied sweetly. He shot lightning at my right arm; I dodged.
"Glad to know you're giving me some attention now." He grinned. He shot a blast of wind, tossing me back a few feet.
"Too bad our time was so short" He said, a smiled spread across his face" I resisted an urge to puke and dodged the bolt of lightning he sent at me. He growled.
"Stay still" I ordered with charmspeak. His eyes widened as his body froze. I stabbed Katoptris into his chest. His body exploded into golden dust.
I sighed glad that I didn't have to deal with him and more. I looked around. There were still a ton of monsters left and more monsters coming. I attacked the enemy closest to me.
Jason:
"Die son of –"He exploded into golden dust before finishing his sentence. Piper held out her hand, I took it pulling myself up.
"How much longer, until the next rotation?" I asked looking around the battle field. It seemed like our forces were holding out fine. A few were injured, but nobody was in a serious state.
Piper looked at her watch, "15 minutes. Festus should me dropping Percy's squad off in a few minutes."
I nodded, "Thanks."
Leo came over, "What's with the chit chat? Anything I should know about?"
Piper shook her head, "Just wondering when the rotation will end."
Leo looked up and grinned, "About now". Festus flew behind where our troops were fighting. Percy jumped off of Festus and grinned.
"You guys seem to be holding out fine. Think we can come back an hour later?" He asked.
"Not a chance Jackson!" Clarisse yelled.
He held his hands up in surrender, "Alright, alright."
I looked back at the fresh troops. Leo created chariots to be pulled my Festus. This way Festus could carry a lot more people than just three. They were coming out one by one.
I looked at Percy, "You ready?"
He grinned, "I've been through much worse. This is nothing compared to that."
Annabeth rolled her eyes, "You only lived this long, because I had your back seaweed brain."
"True…" He admitted, smiling sheepishly.
Clarisse gagged, "Don't get all lovey-dovey on the battle field. It's gross."
Percy and Annabeth turned faintly pink.
"Let's just go battle" muttered Annabeth, heading into the field.
"Yea, let's go" Said Percy walking after her.
I looked back at the chariots. They were empty.
"Rotation complete!" I yelled.
Our group stopped fighting. I watched as they all wearily headed towards the chariots. Eight hours of non-stop fighting can wear you out pretty quickly. When they got in the chariot, some of them collapsed.
Leo ran towards Festus. He started petting him, when he reached him, "Good boy. I'll treat you with some oil when we get back."
Festus responded back with a series of sounds. Leo seemed to understand them perfectly and grinned, "Yea, I thought you'd like that."
Leo checked to see if everyone was in the chariots, before looking in our direction, "Looks like everyone's ready. Let's get on" He said.
Festus knelt down so we could get on. Leo got on first. Piper ran towards the giant metal dragon. When she was getting on, Leo helped her up. Lastly I got on. When we got home I was going to have a long rest before doing anything…at least I hoped.
