"You okay?" Aria asked her fiancé as he laid in bed beside her.

Pausing for a moment, almost as to gage his own answer. "I think so" he replied.

"It's a lot to take in, it might take some time, for both of you" Aria said with a weak smile.

Ezra reached over and pulled her close. "Just one more bump in the road" he whispered as he kissed her head.

"Thanks for everything you did today" he said looking her in the eye. "You were there for her, when most other woman would have bailed…given the situation. It really made a huge difference" he said sincerely.

"I just hope she'll be okay" Aria told him honestly.

"Rachel is with her now, and she's tough." Ezra tried to reason.

Facing each other, Aria reached up and stroked his face. "You know, miscarriage or no miscarriage, It wouldn't change anything for me. I wouldn't make that same mistake twice." She smiled up at him.

Ezra knew she was being sincere. "Aria, we've talked about this, it was more than Malcolm being my kid, it was A getting involved, and keeping him safe. Knowing what I know now, it makes me love you even more" he said before he gently gave her a kiss.

Aria happily kissed him back. "I've missed this the last few nights", she smiled up at him.

"Me too" he admitted, "but now we have the rest of our lives to make up for all of our lost time" he reminded her.

"I like the sound of that" she smiled. "I can't wait to be your actual wife. I mean I always pictured it, but it will be real and permanent" she beamed with a silly grin.

"What are we waiting for?" Ezra asked her, throwing her off.

"Huh?" she couldn't help but blurt out.

"I'm serious, your mom is feeling better, why wait?" he reasoned.

"I guess I just assumed we'd be engaged for a while, but I'm ready if you are" she almost dared.

"I was ready when I asked you" he quickly responded.

Ezra was a little uneasy at the weekend ahead of him. Byron and Ella wanted them to stay for the weekend at their house, as traveling was easier for them than Ella. He hadn't really spend a lot of time with Bryon since he and Aria got engaged. A part of him wondered when the traditional "Don't hurt my daughter, or I'll hurt you" speech would happen.

Pulling up the house Aria could not hide her happiness. She had been smiling brightly every since they woke up that morning. Ezra couldn't help but smile back at her. Her smile always did that to him. Catching him staring at her, she smirked and reached for his hand.

"You know there was a time, this would have been impossible. The grudges between us and them, they seemed insurmountable. And now, here we are, and it's perfect, I got everything I always wanted, them and you" she beamed.

"It was worth fighting for" Ezra agreed. "Though I'm not entirely convinced both of your parents are equally enthusiastic about this marriage"

"Oh, stop" Aria smiled waving off the thought. "My dad is very happy for us, give him time, you'll see it"

"Well, even if he's not, I'm fine with that too, I'm not marrying him" Ezra laughed.

Pulling into the driveway, Aria went inside right away to greet her parents, and Ezra went to the back seat to grab their bags. Walking up the house with a bag on each arm, he awkwardly nodded to Byron who held the door open for him.

Making his way into the house he could see Aria, Mike and Ella gathered in the living room. "I'm just going to get these upstairs", he told Aria.

"Okay babe. Mom says lunch is almost ready" she smiled at him.

Making his way downstairs he joined his almost family in dining room. Mike was setting the table. The food smelled delicious. Taking the seat next to Aria, he laughed when he noticed the bottle of scotch, sitting in a bucket of ice.

"Well we are celebrating aren't we?" Ella stated coyly.

"I remembered this was your favorite" Byron smiled to him.

"Thanks" Ezra laughed.

After eating the delicious meal, Bryon offered to open up the bottle.

"Now enjoy this now Aria, because as soon as you get married, I don't want to see another drink in your hand." Ella warned.

Aria looked at her confused. "What?" she asked her mother, "Where did that come from?"

"Hey I'm not getting any younger, I want grandchildren, and not in five years!" she smiled.

"Oh mom, we will definitely have to wait for a little bit, it would be way to soon after the baby…" Aria caught herself right away.

Ezra almost spit out his drink.

"What baby?" Ella asked shocked and confused. "Is there something you've been hiding?"

Aria wanted to kick herself. "No mom, we haven't been hiding anything, it just now happened." Aria clarified.

Ella still looked disturbed. "Are you okay" she asked worriedly.

"I'm fine, it wasn't me, it was Becca" Aria responded. While lying had been an option, she knew didn't want to be that girl anymore.

"Becca?" She asked even more confused.

Ezra didn't say anything, he just stared at the table and wished he could disappear.

"Becca is a girl Ezra was seeing when we were broken up" Aria clarified. "He wasn't cheating on me, and he didn't know about the baby until the miscarriage."

Byron's eyes almost bugged out of his head. Ezra breathed out heavily, there went the smooth weekend.

"Another child?" Byron stated. "Could you have handled that?" He asked his daughter.

Aria grasped Ezra's hand. "I am the reason we broke up, and I understand that us coming back together might not be squeaky clean. So yes, I want him, children or not" she smiled.

While Ezra appreciated Aria's honest answer to the question, he was annoyed at the question. The thought of Byron trying to come between them made him angry. He knew Byron would never fully accept him.

Becoming uncomfortable in the new found tension, Ella decided to change the topic quickly. "Well at least now we don't have to pretend that you and Ezra have been together all this time" she joked.

"Wait you knew?" Aria squeaked.
