Request from Disneynut,I would love to see a baseball game centered story. We know that Jim took Kate to games growing up. Now that she seems to be enjoying life, let's see them at a game.
She's not a little girl anymore, She's a beautiful, fully grown, successful woman. she's a bride, a step mother, a daughter in law. No longer his littler girl; no longer a Beckett. She was a Castle now.
(Flashback)
"Come on, daddy." SIx year old Katie called to her dad, her chestnut curls in two identical ponytails on top of her head. She was all dressed up in blue and orange, dragging her father as she walked.
"Slow down, sweetie. We have plenty of time." Jim chuckled at her eagerness.
"Do you see how long that line is? We need to get good seats!" She continued to tug at his hand as she trudged forward.
"And we will."
"She stopped for a moment and looked at him. "It's my first game and it has to be special." Her little eyes big and heart even bigger.
"It will be special because you're here."
"Dad." Katie shoved at his leg, a blush on her cheeks. "Not in public."
"Sorry." Jim laughed and hoisted her up on his shoulders to continue their walk.
"Hey dad, can we do this every year? Just us?"
"We sure can, sweetie."
Her excitement through the roof, she hugged her dads head from her seat on his shoulders. "Yay."
(Flashback)
"You may kiss the bride."
Jim snapped out of his daydream, focusing again on the ceremony. He watched as Kate swung her arms around Castle's neck and his around her waist as they kissed, smiling the whole time. He watched as she walked hand in hand with her new husband towards her new life.
Goodbye my little girl.
