Hi everybody! It's almost summer!

Praise the Lord!

I'm sorry for what I did last chapter… I couldn't help myself. I hope you guys like this one. It will be a bit more backstory for one of the characters.

We are almost in the final stretch! There are only two non-Disney worlds left, five Disney worlds left, and two other worlds left. There are more chapters than worlds but still.

I would like to thank Miguel22, Surretuns, and cgrozelle2 for favoriting. Also, Miguel22, Spartan719, Trutown, and cgrozelle2 for following.

I own nothing!

Chapter 28: Twilight Town visit 3

Roxas headed towards the cockpit, just waking up from a long nap. As he drew nearer to the door, he heard Lea's voice, "No… I haven't found him. Even if I had, I wouldn't be happy about it!"

"Lea Matthias Fahrenheit," it was Cissnei's voice, most likely over the communications channel. "You don't know why he didn't return. Give him a chance; aren't you worried that something happened to him?"

"If something had, we would've gotten one of those stupid condolence letters. He did not come back, and it's as simple as that!"

"Please Lea, actually try and look for him!"

The pyro scoffed, "I can't understand how you forgive him after this long! I'm not going to purposely look for him, but if I find him, I'll send him home."

"Lea…"

"Bye Mom…" He turned off the screen and laid back.

Roxas opened the door, "Family trouble?"

"You have no idea… and I don't want to talk about it!"

"Ok…" Roxas looked up at the screen silently. "Lea," the former Nobody said, "We're coming up on Twilight Town do you think we should stop?"

"There's probably no better place to stop right now, we really need some time to relax after the thing with Eraqus, and I need to do something there anyway."

"What?"

The pyro smirked, "That would spoil the surprise." He turned on the intercom and said, "We're gonna stop at Twilight Town. Get ready to disembark."

The group landed and Ven smiled, "This is nice… a little time to relax."

"We need it…"

"Well," Lea stretched, "I'll let you guys hang out. I'll see ya'll in a couple hours."

"And where do you think you're going?"

"None of your business, Princess." With that, he walked away.

The entire group stared after him, completely confused. "What the heck is he up to?"

"Who knows...? He told me he wouldn't 'spoil the surprise'."

Xion grabbed his arm, "Oh just leave him alone. Why don't we go find Hayner, Pence, and Olette? We can hang out with them for a while. You wanna come, Naminé?"

"Sure!" The trio walked off. The others decided to spend the time in different ways.

Mickey, Donald, and Goofy treated Ven and Aqua to ice cream to try to ease their suffering, if only a bit.

Kairi dragged Riku and Sora around to the different shops, against their will.

(A Few Hours Later)

Lea walked into the sandlot after his 'thing'. Standing there was Seifer, Fuu, and Rai. Seifer walked up to the pyro, "What do you want?"

"I'm just passing through; don't get your beanie in a twist." He passed him but stopped as a group of Nobodies and Unversed appeared around. "Aw, come on!"

Some Dusks tackled the three discipline committee members. Lea batted them away with his Keyblade. "Back off!"

(With the Others)

The rest of the group stood in the Station Square. They were waiting on Lea to arrive. "Where is he? He should've been here by now."

"You waiting on Lea?" They looked up and saw Olette's boyfriend, Jeremiah, sitting on a lamppost.

"Yep, would you happen to know where he is?"

"Well," the boy examined the tip of one of his crossbow arrows, "I saw him in the sandlot, battling a horde of those Nobody things and some blue critters."

"WHAT! And you didn't help!?"

Jeremiah shrugged, "He had backup so I didn't need to."

Xion cocked an eyebrow, "What backup?"

"Some old dude with a baton."

Roxas and Xion dashed off to help and figure out who this 'backup' was, with the others following. As they came into the sandlot, they stopped in shock.

There was Lea, hacking the Unversed and Nobodies with his Keyblade, but another man was there too. As Jeremiah said, he was older; his fiery red hair, streaked with gray, spiked up slightly on the top and the rest pulled back in a long ponytail. In his hands, as Jeremiah said, was a baton. He bashed the monsters, destroying them with ease.

"Is it just me," Goofy cocked his head, "Or does he look like Lea?"

"He does…"

The two, it seemed, had not noticed one another. Sora looked up and noticed a group of people across the way, also observing the battle. They were all dressed in suits like Cissnei, back in Radiant Garden, wore. One was a bald man wearing sunglasses. Another was a woman with short blonde hair that swept around one side of her face. The last was a man with black hair pulled into a short ponytail and he had a small dark red dot in the middle of his forehead.

He noticed that Lea's older look-alike was dressed similarly, but in a sloppier fashion.

Finally, the two redheads finished off the monsters. They each turned to their respected friends and said, "What are you just standing there for?" Their voices were almost the same.

They each grabbed their throats trying to figure out why they sounded weird. At the same moment, they turned and saw one another. The older man's face turned to one of shock and joy.

Lea's face was different; it was an expression of shock and anger. "You? What are you doing here?"

"I… I can't believe it! You're here!"

"Yea… whatever," Lea turned his back on the man.

"Lea," he grabbed the pyro's shoulder, "wait!"

Lea turned and pushed him away, "You should just go back home and leave me in peace!"

"Lea…"

The two groups approached their respected person. "Lea, who is this guy?"

"Do I look like I want to talk about it?"

"No, but we have a right to know since he's here."

Lea sighed, "Everyone, meet Reno… my Father…"

"YOUR FATHER!" They all saw how Lea had just treated this man, and this was his father… "Why would you treat your own father that way?"

"You would too, if you knew." He turned and glared at Reno, who just looked sad. "He works for Shinra; they sent him on an assignment and he promised me and my Mom that he would be back in two weeks, tops. Isn't that right?"

"It is…"

"What does that have to do with anything…?"

Lea's eyes glowed with rage, "He promised to be back in two weeks… I haven't seen him in TWENTY YEARS!"

There was a stunned silence as Lea's words sunk in. Reno hung his head, "It's true… I said I'd be back but I never did come…"

"You admit it! That's all I need… now you should go home, Mom is worried." With that, Lea stomped off.

Reno whirled around to face the man with the black hair, "THIS IS YOUR FAULT!"

"Reno, we need to get back to…"

"Tseng!" Reno's green eyes filled with the same fury Lea's held earlier, "Forget work for once! You told me that we would only be gone for two weeks, but those weeks turned to months and years. Every day I begged you to let me go back to my family, but you never allowed me! If I just left, you would've fired me and I wouldn't have been able to take care of my family! Even when Radiant Garden fell into darkness, you still wouldn't let me go find my wife and son! Now my son hates me! He might never forgive me!"

"Reno, calm down," the bald man held his fiery friend back.

"Let go of me Rude!"

The woman tried to calm him as well, "Reno, blaming Tseng won't help!"

"Maybe not in the long run, Elena, but it'll help me vent!"

Roxas heard enough, "Tseng right?" The man nodded, "I'm Lea's best friend, Roxas. If what Reno said is true, then this whole mess is partially your fault. I've never seen my friend so upset, except for once."

"Shinra cannot afford to lose one of our greatest fighters just for his family…"

Xion stepped forward, "Just for a day or two! You could spare him that!"

"Let's go find Lea," Mickey glared at Tseng, "Maybe we can help straighten things out."

"I'm coming too," Reno wrenched himself out of Rude's grasp, "he's my son after all… and it is partially my fault."

Tseng grabbed the man's shoulder, "If you leave, you forfeit your job."

"Leave Reno," Riku crossed his arms.

Kairi nodded, "My Great Uncle is Ansem the Wise, we can get you a new job if need be, no matter what Tseng says! And, we also know Rufus Shinra personally…"

He nodded and the group of them left Rude and Elena followed them, glaring at their director, knowing that he was responsible for all this.

Lea sat atop the clock tower, the ice cream in his hand melting. "Eat up, or it'll melt." He looked up and saw Reno, Roxas, and Xion. They sat beside him, "Lea… I'm sorry… let me explain…"

"Explain what? You left when I was five years old… I'm twenty five now!"

"Lea," Roxas touched his friend's shoulder, "Let him talk. We heard the full story, and you should too."

The pyro looked at his two best friends and saw that they were worried for him. He knew that he should listen and not carry this anger in him but he just didn't want to let it go. Finally, he gave in, "Ok, so what's the full story…?"

"I truly thought I would be back in two weeks," Reno began, "That's what everyone told me. After two weeks, Tseng told me there was an emergency and we couldn't go home yet. I asked him for just two days, so I could go home and see you and your Mom, but he said there was no time."

"Go on," Lea took a bite of his ice cream, listening.

"After that it was just one emergency after another, and every time I begged to come home, even if it was just for a day. Eventually, Tseng became fed up with my asking and I got tired of asking. I told him I was going to just leave for a day to see you. He told me if I did that, I would lose my job and he would send a petition to President Shinra to make sure I couldn't get another one. If that happened, I wouldn't have been able to take care of you and Cissnei. I know your Mom had a job too, but they would probably fire her just because she was my wife."

Lea lowered his ice cream, now listening intently, "Yes…"

"I couldn't risk that… so I just kept working, hoping that I could go home soon. Then, Radiant Garden fell to darkness; I again took up my pleas to go back. I wanted to try and find you and your mother. I was again refused; they told me that you were most likely scattered and that I would have a better chance of find you by staying. I knew it was just a ploy to get me to stick around, but what choice did I have…?"

"You could've left then…"

Reno looked his son in the eye, "If I had found you, how would I have taken care of you without a job?"

"It wouldn't have mattered… I was already gone…"

"What?"

Lea took another bite of the ice cream, "By that time, my heart was already gone and I was a Nobody… You know that redhead girl down there? She was my friend, her parents were in trouble and they trusted me to get her out. I gave her to her grandmother, hoping to go back and help her parents. When I got there, they were already dead. I tried to find some help; I got to the computer room and the last thing I remember was turning around as a Heartless jumped me. When I woke up, I was Nobody; eventually I became a member of Organization XIII."

"You were in the Organization…?"

"All three of us were."

Xion sighed, "Yea, though that's where we met and became friends, that time ruined our lives."

"I'm sorry…" Reno looked at his son, "and the fact that you thought I abandoned you, probably didn't help very much." He put his face in his hands, "I should've just left Shinra!"

"Yes you should've!" Lea snapped, "We would've managed."

His father nodded and stood up, "I'm so sorry… You probably won't forgive me for this… If you're wondering, I just quit Shinra. About time, I know, and I'm going home to your Mom. I hope you will come home; I want your forgiveness, Lea, though I may not get it." With that, Reno turned around and left.

"Lea…" Roxas looked at his friend, "What are you gonna do?"

"I don't know, I really don't know," he admitted.

Xion touched her friend's shoulder lightly, "Lea… Axel… I think you know what to do; you just don't want to do it."

Without another word, Lea stood up and went after Reno. He ran down into the station and called, "Dad!" Reno stopped, he had not heard that word addressed to him in twenty years. "Wait…" Lea stood before his father, "I'm mad at you, yes, but… you're my Dad. Mom is so worried about you, and, I guess, I have been too."

"Really?"

"Yea… I wanted you to come back…"

"Lea," Reno grabbed his shoulders, "I'm so sorry; I don't know if there is anything I can do to make up for this but, I can try!"

"You won't have to…" Lea took a deep breath before saying, "I know that holding a grudge could destroy me. I don't want to be a man who let his anger ruin his life. Though we may still have to work on rebuilding our relationship…Dad… I forgive you."

"You do…?"

The pyro hugged him, "Yea, Dad… I'm sorry for the way I treated you earlier…"

"You're forgiven for that. Now, your friend's introduced themselves but I want to know what you guys have been up to." He looked towards the staircase that led to the tower, "And, you two can come out now." Roxas and Xion sheepishly appeared. "Son… you've got some wonderful friends here!"

"I know that!"

The foursome went outside where the others awaited them. "Is everything fixed?"

"We'll have some father-son relationship mending to do, but basically…"

Lea gave an embarrassed smile, "Dad…"

"Oh, how wonderful, a family reunion." They all turned and saw Sïax standing there. "I wondered how long it would take for your old man to reappear."

Reno stared at him. "Isa… is that you?"

"He's not Isa anymore," his son told him sadly, "Isa is gone… this is Sïax."

The group summoned their Keyblades and glared down the man. "I know you just found your father again, but sadly, it's your last meeting!" He waved his hand and a large Nobody appeared. The monster reached out and grabbed the pyro, lifting him up.

"LEA!"

The Past Haunter Nobody, with Lea in its talons, squeezed the older boy, threatening to squish him. "Goodbye, my old friend," Sïax had no remorse about this.

"I don't think so!" A baton and a gunshot hit the monster, though it retained its grip on Lea. The blonde lady and the bald man jumped down.

"Rude! Elena!" Reno pulled out his baton and stood beside them.

The man, Rude brandished his baton, "Let's save your son."

"That's right!"

"Hey," the red-haired man growled, "You just messed with the wrong family!" They charged the Nobody with the Keybearers following.

Sora reached into his pocket and pulled out a green summon gem with a yellow arrow on it. He held it high, "GREEN ARROW!"

Ven followed suit with his own gem, "STARFIRE!"

From Sora's gem came a man with blonde hair under a cap, his face covered by a green mask, and a bow in his hand.

From Ven's came a girl with orange skin, and red hair. She wore purple crop-top and short purple shorts.

Green Arrow jumped up onto the Past Haunter and began shooting it with arrows. At the same time, Starfire flew into the air and blasted it with some balls of green energy.

"Get me down…" Lea coughed, the monster's grip cutting off the air to his lungs.

Reno saw his son losing consciousness, "HANG ON LEA! I'M COMING!" He jumped onto the Nobody's arm, charging up it, trying to reach his son. Isa flicked his hand and the monster tossed the man into the air and caught him.

"No!" The others were blown back by an attack by the Nobody. Green Arrow and Starfire went back to their own worlds.

"How fitting… father and son, dying together…"

"Guess again!" a gun fired twice; the bullets ripped through both wrists of the Past Haunter. The father and son fell to the ground as Tseng stepped forward and shot repeatedly, the bullets ripping thought its chest; the creature faded into nothingness. He pointed his gun at Sïax, "You're next…"

The man summoned a dark corridor and stepped through. The dark-haired man helped Reno to his feet.

Reno pushed past him and ran to Lea. "Son, are you ok?"

"Yea," the pyro coughed, taking deep breaths, "Just peachy…" He looked up at his father, green eyes meeting, "You… you tried to save me…"

The others ran up, "Lea! Are you ok?"

Reno helped Lea to his feet, "Of course I tried to save you, you're my son after all."

"Thank you… Dad…" the two embraced.

"Tseng," Reno turned to the director, "why did you help, you didn't care about my family. You always kept me from going home to them, why would you rescue me and my son?"

"You are my… my friend. I couldn't let that man kill you, or your son. I'm sorry for letting my temper get the best of me. I should've let you go visit your son. I am sorry…"

"It's alright," the two Fahrenheits nodded, "Now; I'm going to go back to Radiant Garden to visit my wife. She's probably gonna kill me…"

Lea nodded, "Most likely…"

His father smiled at him, "Are you coming back to Radiant Garden with me?"

"I'll catch up with ya later," he summoned his Keyblade, "I've gotta help save the universe."

Reno smiled, glowing with pride. "My son… a Keyblade wielder… who would've thought." He wrapped his arms around Lea, "I'm so proud of you… now, you come home as soon as the universe is safe."

"Yes sir." The two separated. "I'll be home ASAP."

"You better… Tseng, I'm leaving for home. If you need me, that's where I'll be." The director nodded. Reno looked at Roxas and Xion, "If anything happens to him, I'm holding your two responsible."

They saluted, "Yes sir…" With a grin the father left, the other three Turks following behind.

"Lea…" Roxas noticed the large smile on his face, "Aren't you glad you found him?"

"Sure am…"

Mickey chuckled, "I think we're all rested up. Why don't we get going? Xehanort's still out there."

"Mickey's right. Lea's settled his family matter and the rest of us are calm and relaxed. We should get back to work."

"Riku…" Kairi looked at her friend, "What is it? You look troubled."

The Keyblade Master sighed thoughtfully, "I just noticed something. The last couple times we've run into Xehanort's men they've tried to kill one of us. Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz tried to get Lea to betray and kill us. Terranort attempted to kill Aqua and tried to take Sora; and now Sïax tried to kill Lea. It looks like Xehanort wants some of us out of the way… but why?"

"You're right…"

"That's strange. He needs us to create the χ-blade."

Aqua mused on this, "He needs seven of us; the rest are superfluous. But why kill us? If we have a few extra people it shouldn't change anything. Only seven can fight for the χ-blade."

"Maybe…" Ven's eyes closed thoughtfully, "that 'Switch thing' Loz mentioned, do you think it has anything to do with that?"

"It could…"

Sora cut in, "The best way to find these answers is to find Terra and Eraqus. If we bring them back, we can help them and get the answers."

"Sora's right… let's get to work…"

"Yea!"

A shorter chapter but what can you do…?

Guys... I'm sorry for making Tseng a jerk. I should've done some more research on how he truly acts instead of just using him for my own ideas... for all you Tseng fans, I apologize for messing him up...

Forgiveness

Lea's father, gone for twenty years… how would you feel, would you be able to forgive him?

It may be hard but we are told to forgive in God's word. We should forgive others since Christ forgave us. Daniel 9:9 says, "The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him;"

We, imperfect people who do wrong all the time, of whom no one is perfect… God forgives us our sins, and so we should forgive others.

Luke 17:3-4 says, "So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in a day, seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."

What does this verse mean? What Jesus is saying, is, forgive someone no matter how many times they sin against you. We're all human and we all mess up, but carrying around anger towards another in not a good thing.

If God can forgive us of a multitude of sins, why shouldn't we forgive someone of one?
