Surprise I'm alive! I can't apologize enough for the serious wait for this chapter but life got in the way of my writing for awhile there. A huge thank you to anyone who's ever taken the time to read this story and a special thank to everyone who left a review they all made my day. Anyway I imagine you don't care much about my rambling so without further ado the final chapter of The Flock Goes to camp. I was at a loss for how to end this and I didn't end up tying in The Mortal instruments like I'd originally planed so I apologize if it doesn't reach your expectations especially after the wait.

MAX

The ceremony's the next mourning were hard, I think everyone was blaming themselves in part so there was a pretty somber atmosphere about.

When they were over we got changed. I chucked on my usual jeans, blue tank top and now leather jacket ensemble and strapped on my belt and sheathed my knives.

When everyone was ready two of the older senate members jumped in the drivers compartment of the camps truck while the rest of us jumped in the back. We chatted and exchanged story's with the others senate members on the way.

Jason and Reyna got us to tell everyone about all the people that would probably be there as well. In the end we got there just before twilight. By there I mean it was a hill quite like camp half-blood with a bunch of Greek and Roman buildings scattered all over it though I doubt that's what the mortals would see.

We passed through a large columned entrance at the bottom that had a sign over top that read "The United War Camp." Some what tacky but i guess the gods can't always be original. It did however somehow manage to be in both Greek and Latin at the same time. ]

When we passed it and walked a few steps we were confronted with the hunters and the camp half blood cabin councilors. Everyone was understandably on edge unsure how this would go.

"Hey guys what's up," I said walking forward with the others and making the first move.

"Just about to start a war council, you know the usual," Percy said and there were some nervous laughs from everyone even the Romans. Not so much the hunters though being anti guy and all that.

We were getting some quizzical looks from the Greeks so I sighed. "Lets get this out of the way," I said shrugging my jacket off as did Fang. We spread our wings and after the astonishment and brief explanations we tucked them back in again.

Fang and I each got a punch on the arm from Nico and Thalia. "That's for not telling us," Thalia said with what I hoped was fake anger. "I guess we deserved that, by the way Thalia I found someone I think you should meet," I said gesturing for Jason to come over.

He walked over nervously and the Romans all tensed like we were going to jump him or something. Seriously and I thought we had trust issues.

The two came face to face and studied each other. They looked even more alike together I noticed. I smiled as surprise and recognition dawned on Thalia's face straight away. "Jason?" She asked shocked. "Thalia?" Jason asked more cautious, well I guess he was pretty young last time they saw each other.

Anyway this was followed be Thalia tackling him in a hug.

"It is you, you have that little scar on your lip from where you tried to eat a stapler," She said and we all laughed. "Seriously man? the tough Praetor beaten by a stapler," Frank said between chuckles.

"How is this possible? mum told me you were dead, I looked everywhere trying to find you," Thalia said letting him go though I got the feeling he didn't want to let go just yet. Aww who doesn't like family reunions? Not that I know too much about it but i'm not bitter or anything. Really i'm not.

"I guess your dads Zeus while mine's Jupiter, I got taken to camp Jupiter when I was about 5," Jason explained looking seriously overwhelmed.

"Oh well I guess Max explained the whole tree ordeal and that i'm a hunter?" She asked and Jason nodded. Everything fell silent again as they just looked at each other obviously soaking it all in.

The moment was broken when Thalia's fist collided with my arm, again. "Seriously? this isn't beat up Max day everyone knows that's in August," I joked earning a few laughs from both sides. Perhaps there's hope for this alliance after all.

We went on to introduce everyone and I smiled when Thalia and Jason didn't leave each others sides.

When the introductions were over we went up to the biggest building on top of the hill.

It was just a huge room with a massive round table, a bunch of chairs, some fountains for iris messaging and a computer with a projector.

The meeting that followed was actually pretty chilled, basically we just got to know each other. The different camps strengths and weakness's, numbers and such.

Annabeth then explained what we could possibly be looking at here.

Apparently after the first Titan war Gaea AKA mother earth sent her first lot of kids the Giants out to avenge her other kids the Titans. Each Giant was meant to be the perfect weapon against one of the Olympians for example Porphyrion is supposed to be the anti Zeus. They were also apparently unable to be killed unless a hero and a god worked together.

They almost made it to Olympus on their first try which is a big deal and after a long stint in Tartarus and their other various prisons they will probably be even harder to stop this time round.

Which spells very very bad news for us.

It was about 2 in the mourning when we called the meeting to an end.

We didn't discuss any real plans for the moment but I think we formed the foundations of trust between the camps which was equally important, at least for now. Truthfully though those foundations were shaky at best.

Annabeth didn't think the Giant's would try anything for awhile anyway and she's usually right when it comes to this kind of thing. By that I mean pretty much always.

Anyway it turns out summers almost over which means we really have to get back to the whole Itex issue. Yeah this world saving gig apparently never stops but anyway we made plans to go back to Camp Half Blood with the others.

The last few days of summer flew after that.

We got back to camp, explained the whole Itex thing to everyone and they accepted it with a mix of anger, sympathy and pity much to our annoyance. Don't know if I've mentioned it but I hate pity.

Fang and I talked to Dionysus and Grover about filling in some of the spots on the council of the wild and they agreed so we're now honorary Lords and Lordess's of the wild or is it Lady's? I'm not really big on tittles.

That aside we spent some time working on a theory with Annabeth and the Hecate cabin that in the end proved beneficiary. We came up with a rune that when put on our weapons cases would shrink them down to about the size of a wallet when a demigod places their hand on the Greek Delta/sign of Daedalus etched on the top. Then when they put their hand on it again it would expand back to its regular size. It was pretty awesome really.

Oh we got Total back from Percy's mum then mum's friend John came and picked him up so he could go see Akila. Ah the sweetness of puppy love, or so Nudge tried to tell me honestly I thought it was kind of weird but really who am I to talk?

The gods gave the flock and I each a steel version of our weapons complete with the runes and the whole ring transforming thing as our originals. Apparently they figured we'll get into some un-mythology related trouble. Personally I was insulted by the assumption... Actually they were probably right.

They also gave us one of the watch's like Percy's that can turn into shields which will no doubt come in handy.

We started teaching sword work with Percy and hand to hand combat at the urging of the Ares cabin. So things had been going quite well for a change.

Which led up to today the last day of summer. The Flock, Percy, Annabeth and I were all chilling out on the beach.

"So this is it, the last day of summer, what's everyone doing?" Percy asked.

"I'm staying in New York for the year to make sure Olympus and the cabins get finished," Annabeth said holding his hand. Percy would obviously go back to his mums and school.

"Well we should probably go back to my mums for awhile then get back to thwarting Itex," I said. "I guess, just make sure you stay in touch and if you need any help you know where we are," Annabeth said seriously and we nodded.

"Yeah we'll probably drop by if we're ever around New York, it's not like we have trouble getting around," Iggy said and we all laughed enjoying the light hearted atmosphere for once.

"That's true and we can always iris message you or use one of the camps new messenger eagles," Percy said and we nodded.

"Yeah we can always shadow travel back here if anything happens anyway," Fang said.

Thanks to Nico's coaching we've pretty much got the Hades powers down which are shadow travel and the whole skeleton summoning thing and Percy taught us how to properly control water so we're getting better at it all.

"Yeah, we should probably get to the campfire I don't want to miss the fireworks," Gazzy said excitedly jumping to his feat.

We laughed and stood up as well.

The Hephaestus and Hermes cabins had made a huge display this time apparently it was going to rock, at least that's what I've heard.

We got to the campfire, Chiron made a speech and we and the rest of the new campers got our bead necklaces.

The bead this year was black with a pair of silver wings on it to represent us. We all humbly accepted the honor of course, well the younger ones cheered and the rest of tried to play it off but it was actually kind of nice. To be accepted, respected even for a change.

The fireworks were beautiful and I don't use that word often.

They depicted the start of the summer, our fist game of capture the flag, Gazzy and Iggy almost setting a cabin on fire, all the scenes from our quest and meeting the Romans.

The party started after that and it went on for quite some time until we all settled down for the last night in our cabins for the year.

The next mourning was filled with hugs and goodbyes but not forever because we'd definitely be back.

And when we are, well, the monsters better watch their backs.

THE END

Well that's it. I'm unsure of what to post next I have continued this story as a Maximum Ride harry potter X-over for the next installment and was planning to alternate between camp and Hogwarts for awhile until bringing the three together for some serious apocalyptic event. What do you think? Is there anything else you think I should tie in? Or any other X-overs you think I should try my hand at? Leave me a review and let me know.
