Alright welcome back once again everyone, thank-you all for joining me on this lovely day, it really means a lot that you are all here so thank-you again.
Alright quick note: The first chapter of my new story "Of Flesh and Stone" Has been uploaded and I would ask you all to please go and read and review it, it would make me incredibly happy so yeah... Please do that.
Anyway on with the story.

RWBYs Dorm Room... Rubys POV.

I woke up in a rather awkward position this morning, it wasn't uncomfortable... Just odd.

I was laying on my bed with Blake curled up under one arm, Yang nestling me between the two pillows she calls a chest and Pyrrha was sprawled out on the foot of the bed nibbling on the tip of her thumb while she slept.

I was trapped, I wouldn't have complained but I could hear the bathroom calling my name.

'Ruby, it's morning... Don't you need to relieve yourself?' It called.

'Of course I do mister toilet, but if you couldn't tell, I'm kinda trapped over here.' I complained back.

'But Ruby... If you don't relieve yourself soon, you'll have another little... Accident, And we wouldn't want another one of those anytime soon now would we?' He was trying to manipulate me.

'Try all you want mister toilet, I have everything under my control... I am the master of my bladder, I control it, it does not control me.' I replied triumphantly.

'Is that so?'

The sounds of dripping water rang from the bathroom.

*drip... drip... drip...*

It got louder... and louder, until my heart rate began to beat in the same tempo as the drops.

My leg twitched, my hand clenched into a fist, I took in a deep breath... Or I would have if Yangs, mufflers were not suffocating me.

*Drip... Drip... Drip...*

'Oh god, I don't think I can hold out... Please... No...'

I yanked my arms and legs out from there shackles as forcefully as I could, I leaped from my bed and sprinted to the bathroom, slamming the door behind me.

After relieving myself I opened the door once again stepping into the room.

It turns out when I shot up for the bathroom, I may have woken the others, Pyrrha was on the floor rubbing her head, it seems I flung her off the bed in my scramble, Yang was sitting wide eyed near the top of my bed, clearly startled by my sudden actions... Blake however was still sound asleep, curled up near the pillow.

I walked over and placed a hand on her arm, I ran it up and down trying to muse her awake... Nothing.

"Blake?" No response, now I was scared. "BLAKE!" Thankfully that got her attention, but from how groggy she acted I could tell she wasn't all there.

"Blake are you ok?" I worry filling my voice as I spoke.

All I got in response was a half hearted sigh and her rolling over again.

I placed my hand on her forehead.

"Not good." Her head felt like a furnace, My hand had even turned red from contact.

I picked up my scroll and started frantically tapping on the screen.

"Ruby, What are you doing?" Yang asked sounding concerned.

I didn't even have time to answer before someone on the other end of my call answered. "Beacon Academy infirmary, what is your emergency?"

"Yes hello, this is Ruby Rose, leader of team RWBY, one of my team mates is running a burning fever, and she is very unresponsive, please send a nurse and gurney to the RWBY dorm room right away." I spoke as professional as I could, trying not to freak out mid-call.

"Right away mam, A nurse shall be there shortly, but for now make sure your team mates fluids are up and keep her stationary as much as possible." The woman spoke back.

"Thank-you." I ended the call o my scroll and quickly ran to get some water, I came back and forced Blake to at least take a few sips.

A few moments rolled by before there was a knock on the door.

I opened it expecting to see the nurse but instead...

"Professor Ozpin?" The grey haired man stepped into the room.

"Good morning miss Rose, I understand miss Belladonna isn't feeling to well?" I nodded in response.

"Well I'm sorry to say this was to be expected, after having such a strain on your body and mind, it is only natural that she would feel some side effects." He continued.

"Side effects? Strain on her body and mind? What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Well on the night we resurrected Summer Rose, We pulled her out of Blakes sub-conscious and through her heart, this of course would inflict massive strain."

"Wait then why am I fine?"

"Ruby you have lived with the grief of loosing your mother for almost your entire life, Somewhere in your mind Summer has always been, Your heart has gone through the same strain as Blakes has, but yours has been numbed over time."

I nodded for him to continue.

"Blake had never met Summer before that night, so all the pain you have felt over your life, has rushed through Blake in one big shock, it is only natural that her body would need to rest." He stopped and took a sip from his ever present cup.

A moment of silence fell upon the group.

"So is there anything I can do for her?" I asked feeling helpless in the matter.

Ozpin looked at the ground for a moment, adjusting his glasses as he thought.

"Well... There is one thing that can speed up the process exponentially... However there are risks." He eyed me... almost like he was looking for any hesitation.

I stared him down and stood my ground. "Anything Professor."

He let out a sigh, as if he knew that would be my answer. "Come with me."

We all went to follow but he held out his hand, stopping us in our tracks. "Just you miss Rose." We all looked at him but the others looked to argue with him.

"Guys I need you to stay here and look after Blake while I'm gone, make sure she's hydrated and watch for any change in her condition." They looked to argue with me now, but Yang could see the pleading in my eyes and agreed o stay behind.

I followed Ozpin out of the dorm and down the hall, we walked in relative silence, only broken every now and then by the sound of his drinking, finally we arrived at his office.

Ozpins Office.

The room was dark, the lights were off and the curtains were already pulled shut, the only source of light was a glowing on the Professors desk, a small blue circle, glowing on top of his desk, he walked over to the desk and placed his hand over the circle and grasping his hand shut, he made a motion for me to come over to him.

I walked over and stood next to him. "Are you sure about this?" He asked one final time.

I nodded in response, he looked into the abyss of darkness which was his office due to the lack of light and suddenly threw the little glowing circle into the darkness...

The room suddenly exploded with light, every inch of the floor being engulfed in blue lights, seemingly forming what looked like a 3D map, but I didn't recognize the layout... In fact it looked like it was impossible... Like those famous M. C. Escher pictures.

Ozpin must have noticed my confusion because he decided to speak up. "Intriguing isn't it." I simply nodded in response, not able to for words. "What you see before you is a place you have never been, a place only one person has ever been in fact, This may not seem like a possible place to exist to you Ruby but I assure you it is, Because what you're looking at right now... Is Miss Belladonnas mind."

Silence fell upon the room... Did he just say what I think he said...

"This... This is... Blake's mind?" I asked still unsure of my own ears.

"That is correct, every year the staff at Beacon Academy conduct a series of scans through out their classes, students tend not to notice the scans because they are performed in secret, during a class the instructing teacher will activate a small hidden Neural scanner which is placed somewhere in the room, It scans each student individually by first locking onto their Aura signature, then reading their psychological state." As this was a lot to take in he paused allowing me to catch up.

"In doing this over a long period of time and multiple scans of the same mind we are able to make a complete map of a students or teachers mind, the one you see before you is Miss Belladonnas."

I stood there for a moment still processing what was happening. "So... Why do you do it in secret?"

"Well if the students knew about the scanning they would think about them, when you are aware that your mind is being monitored it automatically builds a defence to it, making it near impossible to get the information we require." He took another sip from his mug.

"Professor Ozpin... Why do you need this information?" My curiosity peeking.

"We gather as much information as we can on every student so we can see where they're struggling in classes and provide more attention to those areas, for example, Miss Xiao Long is striving in her combat lessons, but she needs a lot of work in Professor Ports Grimm studies, so I have asked Port to try and make his classes more interactive, for example when he had miss Schnee battle against a boarbatusk." He stopped.

"Professor... Why are you showing me a map of Blakes brain?" My voice dropping to a serious tone.

He let out another sigh. "There is a way to help miss Belladonna... A way to rapidly increase the speed of her recovery... With the help of Doctor Oobleck, We are going to send you into her sub-conscious mind and you are going to retrieve her conscious state and bring her back... Normally she would have to make this journey on her own but with you there, I think the two of you will be able to get out a lot faster than she would alone."

"Wait like that movie with the layers or something?" I asked.

"Yes but better, We are going to give you and Blake a sedative, once you're both under we will begin the link and you will be plunged into her mind, she will most likely react to you one of two ways, one way is she will either not recognize you and you will have to convince her to go with you, the other way she could react is that she will think you are part of her own sub-conscious and wont believe you are trying to get her out, again you'll have to convince her." he let out a sigh, suggesting the bad part was coming next.

"The reason I have a great deal of concern is that Blakes conscious mind is stuck on the memory of your mother, now she is stuck there because the traumatic event that has fallen on her still has all those years of pain you felt, pulsing through her, making it difficult for her to escape, the only way to get her out of there... Is to pull her out yourself... The problem with that is..."

"I will have to re-live the pain of losing my mother..." I interrupted, only for him to nod in response, I took a deep breath. "Let's do it."

"Are you sure Ruby, this will be a very difficult task and should you fail... You could lose your own consciousness in Blakes mind, effectively rendering you both either insane or brain dead." He said not sugar coating it at all.

"I'm sure Professor, If it means I can save Blake I'll do it."

He looked me up and down for a moment. "Very well, Before you is a three dimensional map of miss Belladonnas mind, when you to are linked then you should find yourself in her most recent memory of you, which should be about here." He pointed near the top of the map.

"So once I'm in hat do I do?" I asked.

"once you are in this memory you will want to arm yourself because parts of her mind are going to try and reject you since you will be a foreign object, now the severity of the attacks can vary from projections attacking you individually too the whole land trying to destroy you... Do not let either of those things happen and try to receive as little injury as possible, because if your consciousness takes to much damage it can damage your mind permanently."

"Good to know, I get scratched I might lose the power of speech." I chuckled slightly.

"Anyway after you land in her most recent memory of you, you will need to work your way through her memories until you reach her trapped sub-conscious."

"And then I just reach in and pull her out?"

"precisely... I you are ready... We can begin immediately." He suggested.

1 hour later.

"The final adjustments have been made and if my calculations are correct, then everything should go as planned" Doctor Oobleck confirmed.

"Are you sure about this Ruby?" Ozpin asked cautiously.

I was clamped down to a metal table, my arm and legs restrained 'hehe kind of reminds me of this morning' I had a thick metal helmet on my head with a see through glass visor attached, a cable connected the helmet to a machine roughly the size of a desk, another cable extended from the machine and connected to a helmet that was placed over Blakes head.

"I'm ready professor." I said, taking a deep breath.

"Very well... Bartholomew, when you're ready." Ozpin spoke seriously, Doctor Oobleck simply nodded in reply and flipped the switch.

My vision began to blur and all sounds started to muffle as I drifted out of consciousness... And into another.

I was drowning in darkness... No sight... No sound... No smell... No feeling... It was like I was suspended in a limbo... A realm between worlds, weightless, alone.

Light.

Wait... I'm back in my room? hm... This must be Blakes most recent memory of me... literally a few hours ago.

I jump up from the bed, both Yang and Pyrrha hitting the floor as I do, both rubbing their heads.

"Ruby what are you doing?" Yang asked getting to her feet.

I looked at the bed but Blake was gone. "Where is she?"

Pyrrha and Yang looked at each other confused. "Where is who?" Pyrrha finally questioned.

"DAMN IT WHERE IS BLAKE!" I screamed.

The two both had very dark expressions on their faces now, a gauntlet suddenly rocketed towards my face, luckily I was quick enough to duck, unfortunately not quick enough to avoid the kick that connected with my stomach.

I looked up and both Yang and Pyrrha were in their combat attire with their weapons drawn, Pyrrha thrust her spear forward, I moved as the blade pieced the floor where I had just previously been, another gauntlet swung at my face, I duck again, this time knocking the foot away as it came at me again, a gauntlet tried to collide with my stomach, but I grabbed a pillow off the bed and held against myself, greatly decreasing the amount of force that followed the punch.

A spear swung for my neck, I jumped back just in time when the spear folded into its rifle form firing off a few rounds, I used my semblance to stray away from the bullets as best I could but I needed to figure out a way to get out of here.

As I ducked and weaved I thought of what I could do, eventually it hit me, these weren't the real Yang and Pyrrha, so I didn't have to worry about hurting them, I looked around and spotted a small white case sticking out from under Weiss' bed.

I rolled over to it and looked inside, dust crystals, of all colours and elements, I grabbed the biggest red one there was and waited for my opportunity.

I stood back to the wall and both Pyrrha and Yang had their weapons projectile form pointed at me, no words were spoken, instead Yang let out an explosive shot that would have killed me... If I was still standing there that is, I used my semblance to get past them, leaving the explosive crystal behind and dove out the window, mere seconds after I did the room erupted with a boom and a lot of flames.

As my feet hit the ground I realized I should have been in the courtyard... But I wasn't, I found myself standing on the cliff where we had our initiation, I was stood on the metal plate, weighting to be launched into the forest below, I looked at the other students that stood beside me, but I was shocked to see there were no other students... Only Blake, standing about ten plates down from me.

"Blake?" No response. "BLAKE!?" Nothing, I left my pad and started running towards her, she wasn't moving in the slightest, as I got closer I saw she had a determined but calm look on her face, I reached my hand out and just as I was about to grab her arm... She launched into the forest, leaving me alone once again.

I stared out from atop the cliff. "This is going to be tougher than I thought."
