Chapter 28: Two Worlds Separate

So here it is... the last chapter of Two Worlds Collide. It's been a fun and yet stressful time working on this story, and yet I'm glad that I finished it. Do please put a review down for what you have thought of this story and how I could have made it better. I know I could have made it longer, but I stuck to my old 2 thousand word rule for the most part of this story. And if I'm up for it, I might even do an Innocent Souls Fanfiction. Do also tell me if you want me to make an Innocent Souls story. Well with this out of the way, I wanna say it's been a pleasure for you all to be reading this and let me hear some feedback. Goodbye until next time.

Mato opened her eyes to the sound of her phone's alarm, she quickly turned it off and moaned a little before sitting up in her bed. Her hair was a mess as she yawned and blinked with tired eyes. She stretched and images of her dream flooded into her head, the sudden images gave her a sudden boost to wake her up.

"Man… what a strange dream…" Mato thought as she opened her window and looked outside, and smiled.

Later

Mato walked up the stairs to her favorite spot, the one that let her have a view of the city and the trees. She had time before school started so she decided to see the best view around.

She walked up the last step and stopped to see someone standing there, looking out to the view. She slowly approached the person, they were wearing a jacket with the hood pulled up, but she could tell they were female from the short pants they were wearing and the developed parts on their body. She looked to be in her early 20's or mid 20's at most.

"Umm… hello…" Mato said as she walked up towards the person, grabbing their attention.

"Hello, beautiful morning isn't it?" The woman said, her voice sweet to the ears.

"It is… I guess you came up here to see the sight too?" Mato said before looking out to the scenery.

"Yes, I've heard this is the best spot when the sun rises and falls… they weren't lying… It was a bit hard to find though…" She said before she also looked out at the view.

"I guess you're not from here then?" Mato asked.

"No, I'm actually from America…" The woman said before she looked to see Mato looked a bit surprised.

"America? But your Japanese is perfect, I can't detect any accent!" Mato said surprised.

"Well, I was raised in America, by my main language is Japanese, as my family originally came from there. I just moved here so I'm still getting used to the area…" She said smiling.

"My names, Mato Kurio by the way." Mato said, introducing herself.

"Katna, Katna Niji." The woman said, removing her hood to reveal her multi-colored rainbow hair.

"Your hair is so beautiful!" Mato said, the vibrant colors seeming to shine in the sunlight.

"Thank you, its my natural hair color…" Katna said before Mato's jaw almost hit the floor.

"No way! That cannot be your natural hair color! The red and blue and all the other colors just look so lively!" Mato said.

"It is, I'm very lucky to have this hair style. You could say I'm the opposite of an albino person with their hair genes…" Katna said with a warm smile.

"I wish my hair was like that…" Mato muttered before Katna chuckled.

"You'd have a hard time with the boys making fun of you in your early years of school. But when you go through high school… all boys want to date you…" Katna said.

"You seriously didn't get every boy in high school…" Mato said.

"I did, I even took their photos and started an album of all the boys I have dated so far…" She said.

Counseling Room

"Y-You want to run that by me again?" Saya said as she blinked her eyes at Onmyō's words.

"I said I'm done working here… I've already got a replacement. She's from America and her main language is Japanese, you'll love to work with her…" Onmyō said as he drank his coffee.

"Well what made you quit? This is totally unexpected…" Saya said as she straightened up in her chair.

"I just think it's time to go out and explore. See the world… maybe even slay a dragon." He joked, smiling as Saya chuckled a little.

"Do you think you could save me a ticket to someplace nice on your travels? Like, Italy, France… Hawaii…" Saya said, giving hints she wanted to go to those places.

"I may be a bit rich, but I'll see what I can do…" Onmyō said as he set his coffee down, straightened his black suit, and tightened his white tie. "Though if I get you a ticket for France… I'd expect something from there as a gift…" Onmyō said as he walked over to Saya.

"What would you want me to get?" Saya asked, smirking with a raised eyebrow as Onmyō had a grin on his face too.

"Oh… maybe some french bread, french fries… or one of those little The Thinker statues that tell the time when you twists its head." Onmyō said as got closer.

"That last one was oddly specific…" Saya said.

"Well… I just heard from a friend they sell them…" Onmyō said, "But I think I know the best gift after you come back from France…" He said

"What's that?" Saya asked as Onmyō suddenly leaned into Saya's ear.

"A French kiss when you get back…" He whispered.

"In your dreams!" Saya said with a smile as she laughed while she gently pushed Onmyō away from her seat with a smile on her face.

"Hey… you never know when you might come across a dragon… they are allergic to French Kissing, they're like waning charms to them…" Onmyō said as he chuckled after Saya pushed him.

"You come up with some of the most stupid things ever…" Saya said shaking her head with a smile.

The door to the room opened and Mato stepped in with Katna who had a warm smile on her face.

"Hello senseis!" Mato said as she sat down on the couch, soon to be joined by Katna.

"Good morning Mato… I take it this is your replacement?" Saya said as she looked at Katna who nodded with a warm smile.

"Pleasure to meet you mam, I bet Onmyō has already told you about me…" Katna said before Onmyō set down some coffee in front of her, and some coffee for Mato, with cream added in her's.

"You're replacing Onmyō-sensei?!" Mato said surprised.

"Relax Mato, I'm not fired… just heading to early retirement is all…" Onmyō said as he refilled his coffee cup before Saya's. "I'm thinking about exploring the world, seeing what's out there… I might even bring you some cool stuff when I come back to Japan…" He said to Mato who smiled at the idea of getting foreign objects from around the world.

"Oh, you should head to Greece or Rome! The architect there is amazing!" Katna said.

"I just might head there, but for now I think I might head to America and meet and old friend… or perhaps slice my way through the thick of the Amazon Rainforest…" Onmyō said grinning.

"Well when are planning on leaving?" Mato asked.

"Hmm… my ride is coming up soon, best to actually head out now." Onmyō said before he drank the rest of his coffee and walked over to Mato before rustling her hair a little just to joke with her. "I'll see you around kid, and from what I can tell, you'll grow up to be a fine beautiful woman the next time I'll see you." He said as he walked around the couch to shake hands with Katna.

"Take care of everything here and don't go getting crazy ideas like merging the dictionary with the encylopedia." He said to Katna who only giggled.

"Can't guarantee that'll be a promise…" Katna said smiling.

He walked over to the coat hanger by the door and took his black fedora off one of the hooks before putting it on his head, matting down the naturally spiked hair. He then walked over to Saya as she sat in her chair, waiting to say goodbye to him.

He walked up to her and smiled, holding his arms out for a hug, but Saya stood up and grabbed Onmyō's tie before pulling on it to bring his head down and started french kissing him, his eyes widening as the kissed continued.

Mato's jaw slowly started to fall open, but once it was as open as it could be, Katna pushed it back up without taking her eyes on the two kissing.

Saya finally broke their kissing and smiled at the surprised looking Onmyō, "In case you run into any dragons…" She joked, only getting a silent, shocked looking, nod from Onmyō. But after a few moments he shook his head like a dog and grinned at Saya.

"I'll make sure to run into one and cook up some dragon stew!" He said before grabbing his fedora and said goodbye to everyone once more, and then left the room.

Otherworld: Rock's Domain

Rock stared at the stars that glistened in her nightly world's sky. The only sound noticeable to Rock was the cool wind that whistled in her ear; it was dead silent otherwise from where she sat on top of an old giant cannon. Her eyes slightly widened as she watched one of the brighter stars suddenly disappear, it's bright twinkle showed no more.

"Sad isn't it?" A voice called down Rock before she snapped her head in the direction of the voice to see Onmyō standing there on the ground, looking up at her with his hands on his hips. "Do you know what just happened to that star?" He asked calmly, pointing up to the star filled sky before putting his hand back on his hip.

"A star vanished, so what?" Rock asked, her voice cold and filled with little care for the man's intentions.

"That wasn't just a star, it was a planet, probably even had living creatures on it. But do you know exactly what that means?" He asked, only getting a cold stare and silence from Rock. "It means that even the mightiest things fall, given time. That bright planet that we see as a star simply collapsed on itself; once a great kingdom, now brought down to rubble." He said, the aura he was projecting went against Rock's.

"It's a giant round rock floating in space that broke into even more rocks..." Rock said, her tone being bored.

"You remember a little of your childhood don't you? The Order and how they were said to be an unstoppable force... well look at what our leading fathers and mothers have done with that unstoppable force. A fallen kingdom turned into an apocalyptic world where it's everyone for themselves..." Onmyō said, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Now you're starting to really bore me..." Rock said before she raised her hand as her Rock Cannon formed before she charged it up, only for it to suddenly explode into piece. After the explosion she looked back down and was surprised to see that Onmyō was still standing in the same spot, calm by the look on his face.

"This will be how things end for you Rock, your kingdom, your world... will topple even more in the future than it has in the past. You are Black Rock Shooter, a name with a face and a Color, you hold an important meaning to this world and to Mato's own welfare. Remember that..." He said before turning around and started walking away.

"Where do you think you're going?" Rock asked.

"To work... This will be the last time we see each other." Onmyō said without stopping or slowing down. Rock was about to attack him for just casually walking away, when she saw two giant stone, engraved doors fade into existence. The doors swung open slowly and Rock's eyes widened as she saw billions and billions of stars just in the little view she had that was on the other side of those doors, not even a floor was there.

Rock suddenly felt something tug at her chest and her face suddenly felt really hot before she opened her mouth and shouted, "Thank you for everything, father!"

Onmyō stopped, just about to pass the doorway, when he turned around to see Rock's face bright red, she was blushing. Onmyō grinned and waved goodbye before entering the void filled with stars, the stone doors closed behind him and faded out of existence.

And with that, Rock's face went back to normal, her cold eyes and stare back like they never had changed in the first place. She dwelled on what just happened before realizing that years had passed before she finally stopped thinking of what happened that still felt like seconds ago to herself.

And like Onmyō had said, time passed and Rock was on the verge of having her domain collapse, along with her. Rock was now older than any other Otherself in the whole Otherworld; her enemies such as Dead Master and the others no longer were there to challenge Rock. So for the first time in the history of the Otherworld, the first death caused by old age was about to occur. Yet she was known by all the Otherselves, for centuries, as the daughter of the only Silver Member, Gin, rumored to have separated the worlds of Otherselves and Humans. And like father like daughter, Rock followed her father's footsteps and protected the two worlds from colliding
