The next morning, Dri woke up in her new bed. She had barely stretched before she realized that she wasn't alone in the house. Drake, Quina, and Benita were all at the table making breakfast.

"Good morning everyone," Dri stated as she stepped out of the bed, thankful she had worn her dress to bed last night.

"Good morning." They all replied back. After that, an awkward silence threatened to loom.

Quina spoke up, however. "Cos, I am so sorry about last night. Benita and I were setting everything up and Heral, I mean he, just showed up and asked what we were doing. I told him that you were coming home and we were trying to make everything nice for you and Drake."

Benita interjected, "I told him that I thought you two were getting closer and maybe you'd be together after everything was done. It wasn't just Quina's fault, the blame lies with me as well."

Dri just stood there and looked at both women. "Enough. The only one to have any fault in this is Heraldo. He's the one that reacted the way he did. If anyone has any doubt, there won't be after Adaro deals with him."

"That reminds me, the trial is set for midday today. Father wanted me to tell you." Quina piped up.

Dri nodded, her eyes starting to focus on Drake. To an untrained eye, he looked as though nothing had happened and he was perfectly content. To Dri however, she could see a battle of emotions waging behind his eyes. She smiled at him, knowing she'd need to talk to him privately after breakfast.

After a bit more of discussion, they all had a peaceful breakfast, with Quina dominating most of the conversation. Many topics were discussed, but Dri could feel the elephant in the room starting to place pressure on her friends. Once the dishes had been taken care of, the cooking bench moved back, and Quina and Benita left with promises to see them later, Dri sat on her bed, contemplating what to do about Heraldo.

"Master."

"Yes, Drake?"

"Have you thought about what to tell Krystal and Onyx?"

Dri sighed, and shook her head. "I'm just not even sure how to tell them. We were planning to leave today, and now we have no clue how long we'll be here. Hopefully the trial is short, but you never know."

Silence loomed in the room again, until a soft knock was heard at the door. Drake automatically went to answer it, which was great since Dri was lost in her own head. Dimly she heard voices in the hallway, but it wasn't until she felt Drake's hand that she came back to reality.

"Yes, Drake? Who was it?"

"It was Krystal and Onyx, Master. I explained the situation to them, and they will stay at the inn until we leave."

"Thank you," Dri yawned. She shook herself a bit. "I think I'm still tired. I'm going to head back to sleep for a couple of hours. You can join me if you want." Dri walked back to bed and crawled under the blanket for a well-earned nap.

A/N Woot! New Chapter up! I am super super sorry to all of my readers for not getting back to this story sooner! I could tell something was wrong, so I am replaying the game and writing side by side. This should quell any writer's block I get! Thanks for the patience!
