Dear Diary

Work was quiet today, I think the excitement of the reopening has died down. Unfortunately after work wasn't as quiet, Gabriel phoned while I was on my way home from work and told me that we were going out tomorrow, when I told him I couldn't, he hung up. I should have known that was too good to be true, because when I reached my apartment he was standing at the door waiting for me, luckily I saw him before he saw me.

So rather than get cross-examined by my brother I turned around, got into my car and drove off. I was barely out of the car lot when he phoned and demanded to know where I was. I told him I was at the store as I need to pick up some groceries (which was true, needed the ingredients to make Dean's pie) and I wouldn't be home for a while. I could hear him huff and puff on the other end of the phone, so I told him I couldn't talk and I would see him on Saturday and hung up.

Two seconds later my phone rang and it was Balthazar but I wisely decided to ignore that call. When I did get home there was a note on my door saying 'This isn't over baby bro, I am getting answers'. You have to love your family, right?
