DISCLAIMER: I DON'T OWN GRAVITY FALLS

Tyrone awoke with a massive headache. As the pain subsided he found himself in a dark empty area. "Where am I?" he panicked not being able to see anything. "Somebody help me!" he called out. Just then an iris like window opened up illuminating a limited area around him. That's when he saw some strange strings tied to his arms and legs connecting to something above him. Following the strings, he found that they were attached to a giant hand. Judging by the pudgy fingers, Tyrone figured they must be Gideon's. Tyrone struggled to get free, but he could only move when one of the fingers moved, pulling on his strings. "I'm like a puppet? NNNNOOOO!" Tyrone screamed, but his voice was lost in the endless void. Never making it to his mouth in the real world.

"Tyrone dear, is something the matter?" he heard his mother's voice say. Looking at the iris window he could see his mother still in costume and still at his birthday party. Tyrone suddenly remembered Gideon's plan to kill Pacifica and frame his father for the crime. Struggling with his bindings, Tyrone managed to break one of his arms free. He then reached out and touched the iris. This for some reason gave him back limit control of his body.

"Mom please don't this," Tyrone pleaded.

"Oh Tyrone, we're doing this for us. So that we can have the life we deserve." Tracy said enthusiastically. Tyrone swears that he could almost see dollar signs in her eyes right now. "So go make mommy proud, my little peach dumpling." Tracy whispered into his ear. Tyrone was a little confused since he's never heard his mother call him that before. But the reason became apparent as even more strings appeared, snaring his arms and legs and pulling him back away from the iris, causing him to lose control of his own body again. Tyrone cursed as he tried to break free again only to find that these new bindings are much stronger than the old ones. The weird thing is that the new strings seem to be attached to a different another source from the first batch. Tracing the new strings back, Tyrone was shocked to see that they were not coming from a Gideon's hand, but his mother's!

"Excuse me, but are you Tyrone?" a strange garbled voice asked. Inside his mindscape the iris moved around until it caught sight of a strange girl(?) wearing a pretty pink dress and sitting in a wheelchair. The strangest thing about her is that even with her mask (which only covered half her face) the girl looked like a walrus or a manatee. Plus when he looked at the bottom of her dress he could swear that he saw a fin instead of feet. Though in retrospect he should be used to this kind of thing by now.

"Um yes," Tyrone answered rather monotone.

"HEY NEPHEW!" Mabel jumping out behind him, causing both Tracy and the new girl to flinch. Normally Tyrone would have reacted in the same manner, but due to the mind control he just stood there.

"Why hello there auntie, enjoying the party?" Tyrone greeted again in monotone.

"Uh yeah," Mabel feeling a bit confused by Tyrone's mannerisms. "I see you met my God-daughter Mabelando." Mabel introducing the new girl in the wheelchair. "I hope you don't mind that I invited her to you party."

"No it's alright. Any friend of yours is always invited." Tyrone responded. "Mabelando, that almost sounds like that one boy you told me about Mermando. That one boy you lost when he got sucked into an arranged marriage." Tyrone recalled.

"Yes this is his daughter," Mabel said grinding her teeth. Her past with Mermando is still a touchy subject for her since he was her first kiss and the one that got away. "Anyway Mermando asked me to be her godmother and even named her after me." Mabel said proudly but wistfully.

"I hope, ack.." Mabelando choked. Pulling out a bottle water, she took a drink to help clear her throat. "I hope we can be friends," Mabelando said with a far more eloquent and beautiful voice. Tyrone remembered how early sailors used to believe that manatees were mermaids and sirens. If their voices were as beautiful as hers, he could understand why. At least when her throat is nice and wet.

"I'm certain that we will get along well, fair princess." Tyrone said rather charmingly kissing Mabelando's hand(?) flipper(?) whatever, causing the young mermaid/manatee princess to blush.

"Okay Mabelando, come I want to introduce you to my Twin Grunkles." Mabel said pushing the wheelchair away. Truthfully Mabel was getting a bad vibe from her nephew and wanted to get her godchild away from him. Also to hurry and consult with Dipper about this.

"Okay bye, I hope to see you again soon Tyrone." Mabelando said bashfully waving at Tyrone.

"Bye," Tyrone waved back.

"My you are quite the ladies man. I'm starting to see why Amelia calls you Kirk." Tracy teased. "But don't get distracted by any of your girlfriends. Remember what you are here to do."

"Yes mother," Tyrone said rather obediently. Reaching down into his pocket, checking to make sure he still had the vial that Gideon gave him. Inside his mindscape however, Tyrone's consciousness was struggling to break free.

The party continued on as normal, Tyrone under his mother's instructions began mingling with his guests as to not draw suspicion. Pretty soon in addition to playing party games, he also started recounting some of his adventures, including how he ended up being engaged to almost every girl he met. However it didn't take long for his friends to notice that something wasn't right. The first people to notice was Granita and Mar-ble when Tyrone was on the Dance, Dance, Dance, and more Dancing game; he kept missing steps even on levels he'd played before. Knowing his photographic memory, he should have perfect those rounds. When they asked him about this, he humbly and under mind control said that he simply wanted to give others a chance to win. Mar-ble was somewhat offended since letting someone win is an insult to the warrior's code of competition. Granita was equally taken back by this because that didn't sound like something Tyrone would say.

Rainbow Brite also began suspecting something as well when they were near the pool and one of the guests from school did a cannonball. Making a big splash. As the wave approached, Tyrone hid behind Mabelando getting her all wet. When asked why he didn't shield her, Tyrone simply said that he was about to but slipped and fell behind her. He also added that he knows she is a mer-princess so she most likely needed some water anyway. Mabelando did support his statement by saying that her skin was getting a bit dry. The real reason he did it was because Tracy ordered him to stay safe and clean even at the expense of others. Most were willing to drop the subject after that, but Rainbow wasn't convinced because the Tyrrific she knows would sacrifice himself to protect others even if they don't need protection.

Even Giffany was starting to worry, especially when seeing him flirt with his fiancees. Not because she is jealous or anything. She doesn't get jealous anymore now that she has a new forever boyfriend, but she knew that this playboy attitude is not him. Tyrone always treated girls with respect and dignity, at least he did with her.

Sensing that something is amiss, the girls tried to confront Tyrone about his attitude. Inside his mindscape, Tyrone was touched that all his friends concerns and tried to tell them about Gideon; but alas his words couldn't reach his mouth. Instead his puppet self told them that he was just trying to enjoy the party and advising them not to worry. The girls reluctantly accepted his word and returned to the party, while Tyrone's consciousness was begging them to see the truth.

As the hour draws closer, Tyrone's consciousness still struggled to break free. While he can snap Gideon's strings easily enough, his mother's strings were a different story. "Please mother, I know this isn't you. You can't possible value money over someone's life! Gideon must have control over you the same way he does over me." Tyrone screamed in the darkness of his mindscape. Hoping beyond hope that somehow his words will reach his mother's ears. As he said these words however, the strings from his mother's hand kept getting stronger and stronger. Wrapping themselves tighter and tighter around his arms and legs.

"Hey Tyrone it's time," Pacifica announced calling him to the buffet table, or more specifically his cake. A seven layered cake with each layer being a different flavor. With that everyone started to gather around for the grand finale as well.

"No, NO! Not now!" Tyrone cried. Trying but failing to resist the strings control over his body as they reached down into his pocket and held on to the poison. As he and his mother joined Pacifica next to the cake, Dipper started mixing a special brew that created a rainbow colored punch.

"Cool, I've got to get that recipe." Rainbow Brite said admiring the colors. Dipper then filled everyone's glass with his special punch and personally handed to everyone, including Pacifica. Tyrone breathed a sigh of relief seeing that he just missed his chance to poison Pacifica.

"Now I propose a toast to the man of the day, Tyrone. Happy Birthday with many more to come." Pacifica proclaimed.

"HERE, HERE!" Everyone toasted as they raised their glasses, but before anyone could take a sip. An uninvited guest came bursting through the doors.

"Hold it right there!" Gideon said.

"Gideon what's the meaning of this?" Pacifica demanded putting her glass down right next to Tyrone.

"Please darling I have no intension of ruining this little soiree. Oh wait, I do." Gideon laughed as he pulled out several papers. "As of this second. Tyrone has been 13 for a full minute, that means he's legally old enough to sign these." Gideon informed them.

"Are you serious?" Dipper said in disbelief. It was one thing to try and steal his son away, it's another to try and do it during his birthday party. Even at his worst, Dipper never would have imagine that Gideon would sink so low.

"Quite serious," Gideon shot back. "Look let's be honest. He's going to sign them anyway, so why prolong the inevitable?"

"Because I won't have him signing anything without my lawyers present." Pacifica said sternly.

Looking over to the side, Gideon watched as Tyrone poured the poison into Pacifica's cup. "Fair enough," Gideon conceded. Truthfully it didn't matter to him when Tyrone signed the papers, he was just here to distract everyone so that the boy can do his part. "But please continue with the ceremony."

"Since you are here, why not join us for some cake and ice cream?" Dipper invited. No, it is not that Dipper is getting a change of heart for his old archenemy. But rather as the old saying goes: 'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer' and Dipper plans to keep a really close eye on his nemesis. Gideon naturally accepted because he wanted a ring side seat of his revenge plan coming to fruition. Since they were going to do the toast again Dipper poured a cup for Gideon. Which he graciously accepted, and again everyone raised their glasses to toast the birthday boy.

For the toasting ceremony Tyrone stood next to his mother. Inside his mindscape he hoped and prayed that his mother can break through Gideon's control and stop this before it gets too far. "Finally after all this time, I will get what I deserve. Man I wished I knew about this mind control stuff from the start. It would have made things so much easier with my ex-husbands." Tracy muttered under her breath, unaware that Tyrone heard everything.

This was a shot through his heart. For there was no compassion or concern in her voice, only greed. Opening his eyes to the fact that his mother was never under mind control and that she's perfectly fine with murder if she gets what she wants. His photographic memory started replaying all the warnings his family and friends tried to tell him about his mother. Warnings that he kept ignoring this whole time. Plagued with guilt of how he treated family and friends, Tyrone finally admitted to himself that his mother is not the person he thought she was. As he accepted this truth he felt the strings binding him loosen up a bit, but not enough to break free. Still struggling to free himself, Tyrone wishes that he had a fraction of his dad's knowledge of magic that might help him. That's when he remembered another long forgotten memory of when he was a child, his dad would come in at night to sing him a lullaby. Even when Tyrone was pretending to be asleep, so he can assume that Dipper sang it to him when he was asleep as well. It was a terrible song that didn't rhyme. In fact it didn't even have any real words in it. Tyrone once asked his father what that song was, and Dipper playfully told him that the song was to protect him from evil. Back then Tyrone thought his father was just making fun of him, or was he? "The protective spell that Gideon had to remove!" Tyrone blurted out into the void. Focusing his thoughts, he repeated Dipper's song word for word. To his surprise the spell worked as these strange but warm lights began circling him, cutting the strings. Finally free of the mind control spell, Tyrone made a mad dash, jumping thought the iris. As Tyrone passed through the iris, he could feel himself regaining control of his body, and before long he found himself back in the real world. With no time to waste, he ran as fast as he could to try and save Pacifica only to watch in horror as her body fell over, spilling the half empty cup of poisoned punch. The only thing going through his mind was that he was too late.
