It was late in the morning, and we were just finishing breakfast. Albus and Scorpius were discussing quidditch, and their team line-up for the upcoming Slytherin verses Hufflepuff match. James sat on the sofa close by, he, and his father, were drooling over a Broomstick Monthly magazine. They would interject on Albus' and Scorpius' conversation whenever a suggestion came to mind. Lily was staring at me, like she had been all morning, and Mrs. Potter was scribbling down a letter, still sipping her tea.

I glanced over at my petite friend, who was currently scrutinizing me silently. "I know a good magnifying spell, if you'd like to check my pores." I smirked. "The ones on my nose are particularly interesting."

Lily shook her head, "Something's different. I know it. I just can't put my finger on it."

I chuckled, "Well let me know if you find whatever it is. I'd like to keep updated on my changes."

"What are you a butterfly, Di Napoli?" James interrupted. "Are you going through a metamorphosis we don't know about?"

"No one asked you James," Lily rolled her eyes.

I stood from my seat at the table and picked up my dish. "Play nice, guys," I said as I started to clean off the table.

Lily quickly joined me, collecting the dirty dishes and cups from the table.

"Azzura, sweetie, you're our guest. You don't have to clean up." Mrs. Potter looked up from her letter.

"I know," I shrugged.

"Hopefully, James will one day bring home a friend as polite as Azzura and Scorpius." She announced to the room.

"Hey, Lysander's polite." James chimed in.

"Yes, but we've known him since he was born." Mrs. Potter smiled. "I meant a friend from school."

"Well, technically, Azzura's everyones friend." Albus pointed out.

"That's true," I agreed.

"Yeah, but Azzura's not just a friend to me." James left the sofa.

Mr. Potter put down this month's issue of Broomstick Monthly, and adjusted his glasses.

I didn't know what to say, or do, for that matter, I just stood there - frozen. I felt that familiar, un-welcomed, heat spread from the back of my neck spread to my chest and face.

Mrs. Potter rested her quill on the table, and kept staring back and forth from me to James and so on.

"I thought you weren't a date this weekend?" Scorpius grinned, obviously enjoying this.

Lily shook her head at me slowly. "I knew something was different."

Merlin, give a girl a warning Potter!

I looked at him, he stood leaning over the back of a chair across the table from where I stood. He messed his hair, and smirked at me, his mischievous adorable lopsided grin that melted my heart.

"I didn't know we were telling anybody, so soon," I bit my lip.

"We've been putting off being official for so long, I just thought it'd be nice for everyone to know."

I smiled. I couldn't help it, he was so happy to tell everyone, I had to ignore my shock and embarrassment.

"Lily would've figured it out in another half hour." I shrugged, "Better it had come from one of us anyway."

I turned and put the stack of plates in my hands into the sink.

"So you two are dating, Azzura is your girlfriend?" Albus asked his brother.

"Yes, she is," James said in response.

"Azzura, care to verify?" Scorpius commented from beside Albus.

I stood by the sink, Lily still wide-eye staring at me. "It's all true; James and I are boyfriend and girlfriend."

"Oh, sweetie, it's okay don't be embarrassed." Mrs. Potter sent me a comforting glance. "We all saw this coming. My son is lucky to have you."

"Thank you," I breathed.

Mr. Potter got up from the sofa, and grabbed James' shoulders from behind. He smiled at me; a twinkle in his eyes told me he found this to be happy news. James turned around to look at his father. Mr. Potter guided James away from the table – the two of them disappearing upstairs.

Mrs. Potter stood up from the table. "How about we clean these dishes?"

...

After teaching me a spell to animate the sponges, soap dispenser, and faucet to clean and stack all the dirty cups, plates and silverware, Mrs. Potter sent her letter.

"We have a surprise outing today, so everyone wear a jacket or a sweater."

Lily and I sat at the table with Albus and Scorpius.

"Al, did you fill in Scorpius?" She asked her son.

"Yes, and he's sworn to secrecy," Albus nodded.

"You told Albus the surprise – but you didn't tell me?!" Lily guffawed at her mother.

"Yes, now close your mouth, dear." Mrs. Potter tucked a stray wave behind Lily's ear. "Albus is the best secret keeper out of all of us, and you know it."

"Yeah," Lily groaned. "Yah dammed Slytherin." She muttered across the table at the boy with the green eyes.

"Harry, let's get a move on," Mrs. Potter called up the stairs.

The two missing Potter men joined us quickly after she hollered up to them.

"Albus, you inform Azzura where to apparate you two," Mr. Potter instructed. "James and Lily, you're with me, Scorpius, you'll go with Mrs. Potter."

"Girls, go grab sweaters. Al get sweaters for you and Scorpius." Mrs. Potter told us. "Quickly please," She called after us.

I followed Lily into her bedroom, to fish the heavy grey sweater I packed, under Mrs. Potter 'pack warm clothes' advisement.

Lily grabbed me into a hug as the door shut behind me.

"What's this?" I asked.

"I'm so happy for you," Lily squealed.

...

Albus and I apparated into a large stadium, Mrs. Potter and Scorpius were there first to get there.

"Why does this place look familiar?" I asked Albus.

"Its mum's old home stadium, she got James a try out."

"Oh wow, this is a huge surprise for him."

"Azzura," Albus smiled at me.

"Yes," I responded.

"I think it's great, about you and James." He nodded at me.

"Thanks, Al; I think it's great too."

Mrs. Potter was talking to an older man, when a young man with teal blue hair walked into the stadium. She squeezed him tight, and fussed over what appeared to be piercings on his ear.

"Oh, cool, Teddy made it." Albus mentioned.

"Teddy?" I asked.

"He's like our older brother." Albus shrugged. "Dad's his godfather."

"Teddy Lupin?" I asked more knowingly.

"Yes," He smirked. "Is this a Psychic thing? Or do you recognize the hair? Apparently, his mother changed her hair like that."

"Well, I know your dad is his godfather." I eased him in slowly. "I saw Remus ask him in a vision."

"Psychic thing," He shook his head incredulously.

"He looks just like his dad, except for his style, that's all Tonks. She favored bubblegum pink hair."

Mr. Potter, Lily, and James, appeared in between us, Mrs. Potter, Teddy, the old man, and Scorpius.

"Can I have my glasses back?" James groaned.

"Not yet," Mrs. Potter beamed.

She handed a new broomstick to Mr. Potter, and the two of them stood in front of him.

"Lily, now give your brother his specs back." Mr. Potter prodded his daughter.

James put on his glasses and stared mouth agape at his surroundings.

"So we know you didn't want to go to the ministry event because your heart is set on quidditch, and you can't imagine doing anything else." Mr. Potter started.

"We are so proud of how you've been doing in school, and how much you've matured in the past year. We wanted to show you that we support your dream." Mrs. Potter added.

"So we had Albus sneak away your savings for the broom you wanted, and send it to us. We added the rest you needed and got you a broom you can fly for your scouted matches at school." Mr. Potter continued.

"And for your test today," Mrs. Potter went on. "Devlin can't make it to the school to watch you play, so he made this special arrangement with me, so that it'll be a surprise and he can watch you fly unannounced."

...

We watched James soar around the stadium, a few professionals standing in as keeper, beater, and another chaser for him to pass with.

He was faster than I've ever seen him, on his new broom. The beater had trouble finding a course to send bludgers, and the keeper already let the quaffle in twice.

Devlin, the old man, was Mrs. Potter's old manager. He watched intently from his seat in the manager's box. Occasionally writing down notes on a clipboard that rested in his lap, he seemed either impressed, or he was thinking extremely hard about writing down his grocery list.

He blew a whistle, order a lap around the stadium, and for the players to touch down to the pitch afterwards.

We headed down to the pitch.

"He just has to get recruited for a team," Lily whispered in excitement. "He's better than the other chaser and she's already playing for the Harpies."

"I know," I whispered back. "This guy would regret not giving him an offer."

"Will you two shut it," Albus hissed at us. "I can't hear what he's telling Mum."

"Sorry," We whispered in unison.

"Dammit, Mum's got her polite angry face on." He informed us.

The players, including James, were back on the ground. Devlin dismissed his players, and then took a look at his clipboard.

"You've got talent kid," He barked. "I'm not going to count this as a private trial - it wouldn't be fair to others who've been invited to try out. However, I'm inviting you to our formal trials in February."

"Thank you, Sir," James shook hands with Devlin.

"Now, as promised, you can use the stadium for an hour." Devlin told Mrs. Potter.

"Thanks, Devlin," Mrs. Potter replied.

James walked over to us, his new broom in hand.

"You were fantastic," Lily cheered.

"Thanks, twerp," He messed her hair.

"Tell us when your first match is, and we'll be there." Albus smiled at his big brother. "No matter the team you play for."

"Same," Scorpius added.

"Is that Jimmy the Jinx?" Teddy called over.

"Teddy," James clapped his hand on Teddy's shoulder. "What are you doing here?"

"Your old man told me about this, figured I take an opportunity to see my little brother in action."

"How's Victoire doing?"

"She's doing great, she bought the dress already." Teddy's smile grew wider. "Who's this?" He motioned his head towards me.

James pulled me close. "This is my girlfriend, Azzura. Azzura, this is Teddy."

"Girlfriend," Teddy sneered at James. "Surely there must be something psychologically amiss with you if you've fallen for Jim here."

"Teddy," James warned.

"Come on, Jimmy, she's gorgeous, exotic and seems smart. How the hell would she think you were a good idea unless she has a screw loose?"

"No screw loose," I smirked. "I promise. It's nice to meet you Teddy."

Teddy held out his hand, I took a quick look at his open palm before I shook hands with him.

"Congrats on the upcoming wedding," I added.

"How'd you? Did Jim tell you…"

"Azzura's a seer," James filled in the blanks.

"You mentioned Victoire bought "the" dress and your marriage line is very strong, and is close to the twenty-something age mark. So I figured it must be soon, since you look twenty-something." I explained how I got my findings.

"Jim, need I remind you that the imperio curse is forbidden?"

"Shut it, Ted," James smirked.

"I'm just trying to figure this out, because she's way too cool for you."

"That's just it," I interrupted. "I enjoyed picking on him so much in school that I ended up falling for him."

"And now she's stuck with me," James beamed.

...

"I can't believe how well you did with Teddy. He's even too much for some of our cousins." Lily zoomed past me on her 'loner' broom.

"I can," James flew up beside me.

"I never got to tell you," I reached out for his hand. "You were brilliant out there. You flew circles around those professionals."

He pressed his mouth to mine, and quickly flew off.
