Hey, guys :) I'm back (unbelievable, right? I can't believe it either XD) Anyway, I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving and this week :) Just think about 2 more weeks and it's Christmas break and CHRISTMAS! Yes! Last push for school, right?

Please, don't forget to PM or review (either way is fine) me to tell me if you guys want me to create an alternative ending where Miyuki goes to Shitenhoji (which I can begin a "sequel" for this story).

Also, I was wondering what Christmas special you guys want. Do you want me to write about Shitenhoji or Rikkaidai? Or I can just not do an Christmas special (which I'll probably do if no one reply, since I don't really have an idea for a Christmas special this year so...)

Anyway, I hope you guys will like this chapter :) Please review to tell me what you guys think about it! P.S. This chapter does not link with last chapter, so don't get confuse in the beginning. The story will explain itself so...

"Where's Yuki-chan's room? Is she okay?" Shiraishi asked hastily, panting heavily after he finished his sentences. The rest of the tennis club regulars followed their captain closely. All of them were as panicked as their captain was.

"I'm sorry, who…? The nurse asked after finally understanding what Shiraishi had just said.

"Miyuki, Hayashi Miyuki," Shiraishi replied, realizing he was usually the girl's nickname when he talked to the nurse.

"I see, and you guys are?" The nurse questioned, looking at all the people who had entered with the ash-haired boy. She assumed they couldn't all be her family members. There were just… way too many of them.

"We're her friends," Kenya replied loudly almost to the level of yelling. Some of the people, who were waiting for their turn, were giving Kenya glares for raising his voice so loudly at a place like this.

"I'm sorry," the nurse apologized once again, trying to calm all the boys down. She did not want doctors to come by and blame her for all this. "But we don't have the results right now, and besides, the information is confidential. We can't say anything about it unless it is a family member."

"But…"

"Kuranosuke-kun, over here," Komatsu waved her hand to show her location when she saw the group of boys. She was currently standing next to a doctor discussing the condition of the girl. "Thanks for coming so quickly." As soon as Komatsu received a phone call about Miyuki's condition, she called the Shiraishi family, since she knew Miyuki is acquainted with their oldest child.

"Komatsu-san, how is she?" Shiraishi asked once the group walked to where Komatsu and the doctor are standing.

"We're still running some results, but she'll be okay," the doctor informed the group.

"Thank goodness," Shiraishi sighed in relief.

"What happened?" Kenya asked, joining this conversation.

"I think I can answer that," a voice replied behind the group, which caused everyone to turn around to see the owner of the voice.

"Yu… Yushi? What in the world are you doing here?" Kenya asked in shock as the blue-haired boy pushed his glasses upward. He was currently sitting in one of the chairs with his leg crossed and had a bag of grocery next to him.

"My parents are visiting, and they wanted to surprise you guys so," Yushi plainly explained.

"But…" Kenya wanted to ask further question but stopped when he saw Shiraishi's hand in front of him to cue him to quit talking.

"Kenya, you can ask those questions later. Right now, there's a bigger question at hand," Shiraishi reasoned. "Yushi-san, would you mind explain what happen?"

"Sure, but I can only give the information I know," Yushi warned.

"I can started it," Komatsu decided to talk. "It's my fault to begin with. If I haven't asked her to go buy grocery, none of this would have happen…"

Earlier that Day

"Oh, shoot," Komatsu put her hand on her face in shock. "We don't have any carrot." She realized when she was looking at the fridge for ingredients. "Miyuki, would you mind going to the store to buy some carrots?"

"Sure, what are you making?" Miyuki replied, curious about what was for dinner.

"Curry," her aunt replied. She knew curry wasn't the best meal to be served during a hot summer day. But she knew it was her niece's favorite, and she wanted Miyuki to feel as comfortable and welcome as possible here.

"Yes!" Miyuki formed her hand into a fist to cheer for the night's meal.

"Okay, Miyuki, here's the money for the carrots," Komatsu said as she opened her wallet and handed Miyuki 1,000 yen. "You can spend the rest of the money however you want."

"Even on ice cream?" Miyuki asked excitedly.

"Yes," Komatsu nodded, giggled a bit by how childish her niece acted.

"Yes!" Miyuki raised her hands in the air in joy. "Okay, I'll be going now," Miyuki started to put her shoes on.

"Alright, be careful on the road."

"I will, bye-bye!"

"It's not your fault, Komatsu-san," Shiraishi tried to cheer up the woman after she had finished her story. "That was just an everyday activity. It's just that this one didn't ended well, that's all."

"But if I have just gone with her, or go buy it myself, or… something, it wouldn't have happened…" Komatsu looked down at the ground in shame.

"At least hear my part of the story before jumping into that conclusion, ma'am," Yushi politely said. He then began his side of the story.

Later that Day (Yushi's Side)

Yushi was walking down the street, not very looking where he was going. He was too focused reading on a new romance book he brought at the train station when his family was heading to Osaka. He was, in fact, getting to the best part of the book when the main hero was rescuing his true love. He continued to read and walk until he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He turned around to find a dark-blonde haired girl standing behind him.

"Ano… The light just turned red," the girl pointed to the street light, which indeed had turned red and all the cars started to speed through the street. She was currently holding a plastic bag, indicating that she had just gone shopping.

"Ah," Yushi looked at the light and realized. "Thank you. I didn't even realize. I was way into this book." He raised the book to indicate what he was talking about.

"What are you reading?" The girl asked, tilting her head in curious.

"It's a romance novel," Yushi revealed. "It's my favorite genre."

"Cool," the girl smiled.

After a few moments, Yushi realized the girl had been staring at him intensely for a while, "Is there something on my face?"

"No," Miyuki shook her head. "It's… just that you look really similar to someone I know," the girl revealed. "Sorry, that was probably kind of random, huh? Anyway, I'm Hayashi Miyuki."

Yushi was kind of taken back by the girl's sudden introduction. He didn't really get the point of this introduction since they would probably never meet each other again after this encounter. But he decided to return the favor, "I'm Oshitari Yushi."

"Oshitari!" Miyuki suddenly exclaimed. "Are you related to Kenya-kun?"

"Um, yeah, he's my cousin," Yushi was surprised that the girl actually knew his cousin. "How do you know Kenya?"

"I met him a few days ago when…" Miyuki suddenly stopped when she glanced to her side and saw something. "Hold this!" Miyuki handed Yushi her bag and ran to the street.

"Hey, wait, what are you…?" Yushi was surprised by the girl's sudden action, especially when the light was still red. He realized that a child had run to the street, trying to retrieve a ball. Miyuki had hustled to the street trying to save the child from the upcoming traffic. Before Yushi had a chance to react, a car had already made an impact against Miyuki, who was holding the child in protection from the car. "Hayashi-san!" Yushi ran toward the now unconscious girl who had blood dripping along the side of her body.

All the cars that saw the incident stopped, including the one that had made the impact. The driver of that car had gotten out of the car and started to apologize to Yushi (since he was the only who kind of knew the girl), saying how he didn't expect a child popped out of nowhere and such.

"Quick, someone call the ambulance!" A man yelled. People were starting to gather around the place where the incident had taken in place. Most of them were just gathered wondering what had occurred. Yushi along with a lady was now checking on the injured girl. Not too long after, an ambulance came and took Miyuki and Yushi to the hospital to save the girl.

"And here's the grocery Hayashi-san was carrying," Yushi handed over the bag to Komatsu.

"Thank you…" Komatsu silently grabbed the bag after she expressed her gratitude toward the blue-haired boy.

"So is that kid okay?" Shiraishi asked.

"He's fine," Yushi answered. "He got a bit of scratches on him but nothing serious."

"That's good," Shiraishi sighed in relief. "Can we please see Yuki-chan now?" He turned to the doctor and asked.

"Um, well, it's up to the family member here to decide," the doctor explained after he received the result about Miyuki from a nurse.

"Yes, it's fine," Komatsu nodded. "You guys go ahead. I want to talk to the doctor some more. Her room is 205."

"Okay, thank you," Shiraishi bowed lightly to show his gratitude toward Komatsu. Everyone, after hearing that, started search for the room. Before Shiraishi left with the group, Komatsu grabbed Shiraishi's arm to stop the boy from advancing.

"Kuranosuke-kun, please, don't ever, ever leave Miyuki alone in that room, okay?" Komatsu asked with a serious look.

"O…okay…" Shiraishi replied not sure what the woman meant by that.

"Thanks, Yushi, for helping Yuki-chan out," Kenya thanked his cousin.

"It's no big deal," Yushi shrugged his shoulder. "Just go and check-up on her, and tell me how she is at home."

"You're not going to stay?"

"No, I don't want our parents to get worry," Yushi explained. "Don't worry. I'll tell them where you are."

"Thanks, Yushi," Kenya placed his hand on Yushi's shoulder. He then watched his cousin walked out of the door before catching up with his teammates. When he found his teammates, they had already found the room Miyuki was currently located in. They decided to knock on the door just in case the girl was awake already. When there was no reply after the third knock, they concluded that Miyuki was probably still out cold and so Shiraishi opened the door.

Miyuki was resting in a bed with a needle sticking into her arm letting fluids flew into her body (sorry, I don't know what that is call…). The tennis members quietly walked into the room, not wanting to disturb the girl in any way. They started to look at her injuries. Of course, they couldn't see all the wounds since she was placed underneath a blanket for comfort. But they could see that there was bandage wrapped around her forehead and some on her cheeks, to stop the bleeding and not allow infection of any kind into those wounds.

"Ne, Shiraishi, will Yuki-chan be okay?" Kintaro asked in a worry tone, pulling Shiraishi's shirt at the same time.

"Of course, she will," Shiraishi tried to reassure the redhead, patting the boy's head in the process.

They continued to watch her in silent until they heard a ring coming from a phone. Each of them started to search for their phones to see if it was their phone that was making the noise. When they all realized the sound that was playing was not their assigned ringtone respectively, they saw that it was Miyuki's phone that was ringing and vibrating.

"Should we answer it?" Kenya asked as he picked up the phone to check the caller ID: Shizuoka Nanami.

"We should," Shiraishi replied as Kenya handed the phone to his captain. "You know, at least, tell her what happen." Shiraishi remembered Miiyuki telling him about her close friend (at some point, I didn't write about it, I don't think…).

"But, buchou, we don't even know her," Zaizen pointed out.

"Yeah, but she'll be worry if no one reply at this hour," Shiraishi reasoned. It was only 4:30, after all. Most people are free at this time, especially since it is summer, so it would be weird if the call is not being answered. Shiraishi then flipped open the phone case and answered, "Hello."

"Um… Hel… Hello…?" Nanami replied slowly, puzzled by the answerer's voice. She even moved the phone away from her ear as if she was checking to see if she had dialed the correct number. "Who is this?"

"Shiraishi Kuranosuke," Shiraishi introduced himself. As he continued to talk the pink-haired girl, he began to make his way to the hallway. As he left the room, he signaled his teammates to stay in the room, remembering his promise to Komatsu.

"Ah, so you're Ku-san! Nice to, somewhat, finally meet you," Nanami greeted the boy jokingly. "So um, why did you answer Miyuki's phone? Are you guys that close already?" (since some people get really mad when their phones are taken without permission)

"Well, that's what I kind of want to talk to you about…" Shiraishi scratched his head not too sure how to explain the situation to the pink-haired girl. When there was no reply coming from the other line, Shiraishi decided to continue, "Yuki-chan was in an accident."

"Is she okay?"

"Yeah," Shiraishi then began to retell the story which he heard from Yushi and Komatsu. When he was finished with the story, he was surprised by the reply from Nanami.

"Okay, thanks for informing me that."

"That's it?" Shiraishi was kind of astonished by Nanami who didn't break down in tear or anything. Instead, the girl was completely cool, almost to the level of not caring by her answer and the tone of her voice.

"She's fine, isn't she? So why bother make a big fuss over it," Nanami explained. "If we do, it'll just make Miyuki sadder for making us worry about her. Anyway, where are you right now? Are you in the room with Miyuki?"

"No, I went out to the hallway. The reception is really bad in the room." Shiraishi explained, confused why both her and Komatsu cared so much about making sure Miyuki had some company. Sure, she would probably be scared when she woke up, not knowing where she is and everything. But it shouldn't be so bad that she NEEDED someone there with her, right…?

"What!?" Nanami suddenly shouted, forcing Shiraishi to place the phone away from his ear for protection sake. "What's wrong with you!? Get in there!"

"Calm down, Shizuoka-san, my teammates are in there with her right now," Shiraishi reasoned, surprised by the girl's unexpected change in tone. She was caring more about making sure Miyuki has company then the condition of the girl.

"I don't care! Just get in there, NOW!" Nanami ordered once more.

"But why…?" Before Shiraishi could finish his sentence, he heard a scream followed by Kenya's voice.

"Yuki-chan, calm down! You can't get up yet!"

Shiraishi, surprised by this, decided to see this event with his own eyes. He then walked back into the room. When he entered the room, he saw Zaizen and Kenya trying to keep the wounded girl from getting out of bed. While everyone else (especially Koharu) had a worried expression painted on their face.

"Yuki-chan, please calm down," Koharu asked.

"No! Let me go! Let me go! I don't want to be here!" Miyuki cried in panic, struggling to be free in between the sentences. "I don't want to be here!"

"You can't leave. You're injured," Zaizen reasoned.

"No!" Miyuki attempted her last chance of escape from the boys' grips, which ended in a success. She immediately grabbed the tube at her arm and ripped it out of her. She then tried to stand up so she could leave this place. But when she stood up, her legs immediately gave out, and she fell down. That didn't stop her, though. She began to crawl trying to keep going.

"Yuki-chan, stop this!" Shiraishi ordered. He then got down to Miyuki's level and looked at her in the eyes. He then saw there was nothing in her eyes except fear shrieking out of her pupils. "C'mon, you need to rest," Shiraishi said in a much gentler tone. He then picked Miyuki up and placed her back into her bed. As all this was happening, the regulars watched this in silent, not knowing what to do to benefit this situation.

"No… I want… I need to leave," Miyuki quietly worded out those phrases. She was currently shaking violently in fear. "I… I don't want to die…" She placed her hands against the side of her head. All the boys were taken by surprise when the girl said that. But before they could say anything, they heard the door opened.

"Miyuki," Komatsu said in surprise that her niece had already awakened. She quickly ran to the girl and hugged her, trying to comfort the disturbed girl. She began to brush the girl's hair lightly. "Sh… sh… it's okay. It's okay." Komatsu then started to sing a lullaby to the girl (I don't know much lullaby, so just think of any lullaby you would hear as a kid). They began to see that Miyuki started to calm down, at least not as shaky as she was. The doctor then walked by and gave her a tranquilizer to help her go back into her sleep.

"So is Miyuki okay now?" Nanami suddenly said over the phone, reminding Shiraishi that he did not hang up the phone during this entire time.

"Huh? Oh yeah, sorry about that," Shiraishi apologized. "So why did Yuki-chan act this way?"

"Why don't you ask Komatsu-san," Nanami suggested. "I don't feel the right to talk about it when there's someone else who closer to her than me."

"True enough."

"Well, I got to go, but be sure to tell me how Miyuki is doing every now and then, alright?"

"Of course."

I had thoughts about this chapter for a while, but I was not sure if I should put it into my story. I mean it's... (I don't know) darker than my other chapters... I guess... But I feel like I can expend with chapter so :) This event will help explain more of Miyuki's mom's death's impact on her, so yeah.

Anyway, I hope you guys still like this chapter even though it's different than the usual theme of this story XD
