It had been just over five hours since Sophie had woken and the doctor had been in to check on her again before leaving her and Sian alone in the room once more. Since then Sian hadn't moved an inch from where she had made herself comfortable lying next to her, not wanting to leave her side. She was snuggled right into her and had lost count of how many times she told her she loved her.

"You are never, ever allowed to scare me like that again. Do you hear me?" she whispered as she played with Sophie's fingers and she felt the brunette's other arm pull her in closer.

"I don't plan on ever being away from you again. I know I've probably promised you a thousand times that everything will be okay and then something keeps happening or I make a mess of things, but this is it, I mean it… you and me, we're done with this type of stuff."

"We've never been able to escape the drama." Sian replied. "Ever since we first met, it seems that's just what happens around us."

"Yeah, well the only kind of drama I want in my life from now on is when you're in a mood with me when you think I'm not listening to you, or when you get annoyed cos you think I'm flirting with another girl, or when you get completely embarrassed at the fact we almost get caught by my boss in the barracks or just when you think I'm being an idiot." Sophie stated as Sian let out a small laugh and entwined their fingers. "And I know I shouldn't wish for any drama at all, but as much as I don't like fighting with you, I do love the thought of making it up to you."

Sian grinned as she lifted her head slightly to place a kiss on the brunette's shoulder. "Me too." She said as she lay back down.

"Besides, I'd do anything to be able to see you in that black lacy number again." Sophie said causing the blonde to giggle and prod her lightly in her side.

For a few moments longer they just lay there in silence before Sian frowned as she thought about what Sophie had said.

"I never told you about me wearing a black lacy number…"

"Mm." Sophie hummed in response.

"How do you know about that?" Sian asked as she pushed herself up and leaned on her elbow so she was facing Sophie.

"Well I was there you know… that's not an image you forget easily." Sophie smiled.

Sian's eyes widened. "You mean you remembered it?"

Sophie raised her eyebrows and smirked as she looked at the blonde's expression. "I remember everything." She said, watching as Sian opened her mouth to reply but no sound came out. As her mouth bobbed open and closed a couple more times, Sophie watched as the fact that the brunette had her memory back sunk in.

"Are you serious?" Sian asked as tears sprung to the front of her eyes. "How…? I mean, how did this… are you serious?" she almost squealed.

"Yes" she confirmed with a smile. "And I dunno how... all I know right now is, I'm alive and I have you and that's all I've ever wanted."

"Oh my god, Soph." Sian said as she leaned in and kissed the brunette over and over having the kisses happily returned. "I missed you so so much." She whispered between kisses.

"I can tell." Sophie grinned as she stroked her hand down Sian's face gently as she kissed her once more, allowing it to linger before they broke apart.

"We should tell your parents and Rosie, and the doctor will want to know too, I can get h-"

"No." Sophie quickly answered, causing Sian to frown and stop from getting up from where she was. "Just… not just yet. Can we just wat a while to announce it to everyone? I just don't want more fuss, and then with Major Cartwright too, they'll want to come in and start asking more questions and I just don't feel as though I can go through all that right now."

Sian nodded her understanding. The last thing she wanted was Sophie being put under more stress, and she certainly didn't want to risk her being made to go to the Army base again to discuss what happened to her over and over, at least not until she was stronger.

"Thank you." Sophie said as she raised one of Sian's hands to her lips and placed a soft kiss on the back of it. "Just a day or two and then I'll tell everyone, I promise."

They lay there for a while longer in each other arms, chatting, cuddling and feeling comforted and content that they had each other so close.

"What else do you remember?" Sian whispered and Sophie couldn't help but smile.

"I told you, I remember everything." She answered as she continued to run her hand up and down her back.

"So you remember everything after you came back too?" Sian enquired.

"Mhm."

"Does it not seem a bit weird though?"

"What?" Sophie asked as she raised her head from the bed to look down towards where the blonde was lying against her.

Sian looked up so her head was angled so she could meet the brunette's eyes but she kept her cheek against her chest.

"I mean, you didn't remember anything when you came back… it was like you were you but you weren't. I was just wondering like… when you remember the things that happened since you came back, is it like you were living them or is it like watching through someone else's eyes… does that make any sense at all?"

A small smirk tugged at the brunette's lips and Sian groaned as she buried her face against her. "I sound like an idiot don't I?"

"Not at all." Sophie answered as she hugged her into her side. If anything she found it extremely cute how much the blonde wanted to know about what was going on in her mind. "I get what you mean but honestly, I don't know." The older girl answered truthfully. "If I think about those times they feel like all my other memories. And with all of them there is one thing that stands out and makes me glad I have them."

"What's that?" Sian asked as she leaned up and looked in the blue eyes that belonged to the brunette.

"You." Sophie answered simply, yet as she did Sian felt a massive eruption of butterflies in her stomach. Leaning in she pressed a lingering kiss to the brunette's lips before Sophie suddenly deepened it. As Sian happily returned the kiss and their tongues caressed one another, Sophie's hands started to wander, finding their way under the blonde's top as they slid up her sides.

"Hey missy." Sian giggled as she parted the kiss and pulled Sophie's hands from under her top before entwining them with her own. "None of that until you're better and out of here."

Letting out a groan, Sophie threw her head back into the pillow. "Oh come on!" she protested. "If I'm poorly, don't you think I deserve a pick me up?" she grinned cheekily.

"Nice try." Sian laughed. "Now rest." She ordered as she lay back into her side before kissing her neck.

Sophie let out a huff but cuddled back against the blonde. She knew she was right, but she never could resist the younger woman.

"Sooo… did they find out how the fire broke out yet?" Sophie asked, instantly noticing the blonde tense at the question and she knew that she had just asked her something that the other girl didn't want to answer. "Sian?" she prompted and the younger girl opened her mouth to answer but didn't say anything. "Sian…" Sophie tried again and the blonde shook her head.

"I don't want to tell you right now."

"Why?" Sophie frowned, as Sian pushed herself up.

"You're supposed to be taking it easy, and if I tell you you'll get angry and the stress might cause something to happen again."

"I have a right to know. Whatever or whoever caused it put me here… Tell me Sian… please."

Sian looked at the girl in front of her with her cut lip and bruised face and she knew she was right. She had every right to know the reason she had been put through even more pain.

"They arrested Josh." She said quietly and she watched as the brunette's eyes widened.

"Josh…?" she asked surprised. She had always known he was capable of things, but it still wasn't any less of a shock to know to what extent he would go to get to her. "What… I mean, how did he even know where we live?"

"They think he must have followed us home."

"And he's admitted that he did it?" Sophie asked, actually surprised that he'd be willing to admit to something like that and chance prison. He was always a troublemaker but he'd never had the guts to chance something like prison.

Sian shook her head again. "No… he hasn't admitted it, but it was definitely him. I went to see him a-"

"You what?!" Sophie asked loudly, sitting up straight in the bed causing her to quickly grab her stomach as the sudden movement tore at her wound.

"Sophie, you can't get up." Sian panicked as she gently pushed the brunette's shoulder to make her lie back again.

"I don't want you anywhere fucking near him Sian." Sophie stated leaning up on her elbows slightly. "Have you forgotten what he tried to do?"

"Of course I haven't forgotten, Sophie." Sian replied seriously. "But I thought you were going to die, and I wanted to confront the person responsible. It didn't matter what he had tried in the past, all I was thinking about was the fact that he had almost taken you away from me and I was going to lose you all over again." Sian said as tears pushed their way to the front of her eyes, as she got upset from the anger of thinking about the situation got to her.

Sophie's previous expression of anger and annoyance softened as she felt guilt over causing the blonde to get upset. "I'm sorry." She said, reaching out and taking Sian's hand in her own. "I get why you went, but I still don't like the thought of you being near him."

"I know." Sian replied. "And I won't go back, I promise."

Sophie reached up and gently brushed a falling tear from the younger woman's face.

"Come here." She said softly as she pulled the blonde back down into her side and wrapped her arms around her once more. "You know I hate it when you cry." She mumbled into her hair before placing a kiss on her head.

"The only thing that makes me cry is the thought of losing you again." Sian whispered as she sniffed, keeping any further tears at bay.

"Well then neither of us have anything to worry about do we?" Sophie said as she rubbed her hand up and down the blonde's back, making Sian tilt her head slightly to look up towards her in question.

"Why not?" Sian asked, her still slightly watery eyes glistening making Sophie smile warmly at her.

"Because I'm not ever leaving you again which means you don't have to worry about losing, and I don't have to worry about you crying. No matter what's thrown at us, it's me and you forever."
