It did not take very long to get an army formed between men, dwarfs, and even vampires. It had shocked me to see how many of my old clan members can come back from their leaders side to rejoin with us. All of them had left Tathar! Many people from within the city that I had meet only once, twice, had joined. People from the market place that used to sell different types of wild blood that had seen me smiling and happy with my people came. People that used to watch me dancing within the city walls, practicing and then getting to leave the city. People who had known me since the day that I had been changed into a vampire came and looked like they had been weeping when they found out that I was either alive and well or that my progeny had been taken captive by my first born and would likely be sentenced to death. There were even some that I did not have the slightest idea on who they were, but they showed up ready to fight and ready to give their lives for a new world.

Most of the humans I had meet before, either in previous times in Laketown or during the battle that we had just won together. They all knew about me and they all knew that Kili and Fili had just been taken. I did not need to know too much about them, they were all here and ready to fight beside of me and my clan. That made them better than the best man that I had known before that time. I could not believe it when I saw Bard there, he did not need to be here fighting with us, but I also knew how stubborn that he could be, how stubborn all of the race of men could be, and just decided that if he were to be coming that I was going to have to make sure that someone from the clan would watch over him. They did not look to eager to fight vampires, most had only heard about them from their folktales, but they were all ready to fight once again.

Then came the dwarfs, my dwarfs. We had been through so much together that it almost did not seem like they were fighting for their kid, but that they were fighting for me, that they were fighting to get back something and someone that meant something to me. I knew that this was not true, I mean two of their princes have just been taken from them, but there was something deep down inside that just made it feel that way. Some still had blood on them from the last battle that we had gone through, others seemed like they had never left the last battle. They all just wanted to make sure that Kili and Fili were okay and that they were going to be returned back to my safety and soon. I had told one member of my clan to go off to Rivendell, to tell the lord there that Rolly the vampire requested a favor, and I told him to make it as quick as possible to get what I needed from there and to make it back to the city. It seemed like everything was coming together in an odd, calm fashion.

But there was an unease in the air when everyone finally came out together and we saw how big our army really was. It was almost breath taking, how big it was and how many people had really come out to fight for me and to fight to get Kili and Fili back. Though it would never be able to outnumber the armies that they had within the city, it was still something to be recognized. Gandalf had made a safe passage for us to be dropped right into the city. We were going to be taking the great eagles once again for one last passage from the great mountain into the city. The first time I was scared out of my mind to say the least, this time, for some odd reason, I was calm and ready. This time I was ready for war, I was ready for the bloodshed, and I was ready to slaughter anyone who got in my way of getting Kili and Fili back.

This time, I did not hold onto the eagle that I was riding on. Instead I just kept sharpening my sword with a stone that seemed like it would do well. All I could think about was getting there and making sure that Kili was alright. I did not have time for flying there or worrying about making sure that I did not fall off of the creature that was bringing me there. I just needed to have Kili back at my side once again. People did not seem to bother me much though, they all seemed rather tranquil yet ready to fight with a drop of the hat. No one said a word until we could finally see the woods that wrapped around the city and the vampires could hear the cries coming from within the city walls. That's when I finally stood up on the great eagle who started to hover in the air, we were only minutes from our drop of place and everyone seemed to finally be looking to me for advice and wisdom.

" I really have to give another speech?" I muttered lightly.

" Yes, that is what they really expect out of a leader." Thorin sighed and this made me smile a bit.

" Warriors, brothers and sisters of the blade. Firstly I should thank you, all of you did not have to be here, all of you have chosen to be here on your own and that takes a certain bravery that you do you see anymore. All of you have my gratitude and my sword. We are going up against an army of thousands, but remember, we are lions fighting mere men! There is nothing that can stop us! To most of us we have heard since the day that we were turned that the city is out motherland, that it is our home, but we all know better. We must fight for a better motherland, we must fight for a new tomorrow! A place where we have turn people as we may! A place where we can come and go as we please! A place where we are free men and women! Vampires, dwarfs, men, fight not only to return what has been stolen, fight for the basic rights that we all deserve to have!" I called out as everyone started to cheer and started to get more and more into the fighting spirit.

That is, until the jump came. We were all going to jump at different parts around the city, knowing that they would have the boys right in the dead center of the city, it would be better to have a perimeter. Everyone was going to go in groups of four, two vampires, a human, and a dwarf. I was going to be in the final batch to go right on the bulls eye, just as close as I could to where the elders would be and where Tathar would be as well. I knew that if it came down to it, Tathar would have to kill me to get onto the true good graces of the elders. He was going to have to do the unthinkable and kill his own maker, something that almost no vampire has ever done before. It is almost unheard of in the world of vampires to kill the one that turned you. The jump started and people did just as they were told to do, no one had any hesitation and when it finally came down to me, Thorin, Bard, and Burznedlorwen I did not have time for fear or regret as I just jumped.

There were people that were all around us when we landed, people that just started to scream and back away as they saw for the first time the truth: that they girl who was thought to have been killed as still alive and breathing. It did not take very long for some of the guards to come up and to try and take our weapons away and to try and shackle us up. Those fools. I did not know about anyone else, did not really care either, I was not taking any prisoners or hostages, as soon as they tried to stake me, I would break the stick in half and would jam it as hard as I could right into their hearts, turning them into guts and blood on the ground before I finally looked up to find that the elders were standing right where they had with me. Only this time they had two vampires shackled up waiting to face a fate that was horrible to think about. I looked to Burznedlorwen to find that she was just as anger as I was and just nodded as we threw our wooden points right at the hearts of two of the elders, hitting them right in the heart and turning them into nothing more than guts.

" Enough!" cried out one of the elders, a voice that I knew well enough.

" There is no enough when you take someone that I love, when you think that you can control a whole race of people!" I cried out as people started to settle down and just starred too us. " Grandfather, this is madness in the world that we live in! Where we would rather take life than to allow people to give it!"

" You surrender right now, Rolly, and you and your people will live our the rest of your lives in prison." My grandfather said as if that was a good thing.

" And what about those two?" I asked as I nodded to Fili and Kili.

" They must die. They are vampires who have been created after the law was passed. You know this." He added as he looked to Kili and Fili who was still shackled in silver, but Kili kept his eyes dead locked on mine.

" Then you have left me no choice then. You shall have war on your hands. And I have brought a little something with me. A gift from the elven people of Rivendell. Faidur fire one!" I cried out and heard an arrow wiz by my ear and straight into one of the elder vampires who instantly fell to the ground.

" What- what have you done to him?" My grandfather cried out as he looked to the vampire on the ground.

" Oh just killing him as quickly as possible. He will be dead within the hour to be honest. Its a little something special that those elves have been working up. Trust me, he is going through some hell right about now and there is nothing that you can do about it. Now I have enough arrows to shoot each and every vampire in the city about ten times over again and could go and get more at any point. So prepare to die, Grandfather." I hissed as I was ready to give the call to start firing.

" Wait! Let us not kill everyone here. How about this. How about your best fighter goes up against ours? The winner gets whatever they want and the loser does not have any harm done to them." My grandfather begged, hoping that whoever he picked would be stronger than who I picked.

" And what would you want?" I hissed with my fangs out and ready.

" To kill your two little pets and to have you behind bars." He said in a calm tone, looking down to the vampire who could barely get a groan out.

" Well that does not seem like the loser is unharmed, but you have yourself a deal." I said as all of my people looked to me with shock in their eyes.

" Rolly! No!" Thorin called out but I simply put my hand onto his chest to silence him.

" I choose myself as the best fighter." I stated as the group and all of the other vampires in the two just started to part ways. If there was going to be a fight here, they did not want to be standing too close.

" We chose Tathar!" My grandfather cried out and I could feel my heart break just a little more as he moved towards the middle of the group and could not even look up to me.

" Rolly. . . I . . . I never would have thought that any of this would have happened from just bringing your boyfriend in. I just. . . I just wanted to have you for my own again. I love you with all of my heart." Tathar said as a tear slid down his eye.

" I know, Tathar. I know." I said lightly as this were the only words of comfort he was going to get out of me. " But lets end this like we started it, huh? In a pool of blood and limbs and guts." I said as I tried to stay tough.

" Common Rolly! Just think of it as any other time that we used to fight each other!" Someone from my clan cried out as Tathar and I worked out way to different ends of the circle.

" Just remember what you are fighting for Rolly!" Another screamed.

" Think of Kili." Thorin said as I looked to find that Tathar already had a wooden spear and I looked around to take one from a nearing vampire and pulled out my sword as well.

We were both suited with all of the proper items of battle that we had never had before when we fought each other. We both got a sword, mine being the one that had been passed down from generation to generation and Tathar got one from a soldier. We both got wooden spears, I think that we both had just already taken those from the people that had been around us. And we both got a shield. I do not understand why or how these rules had come into place, but I knew that it would make it much harder to be able to just get this all over with. I did not want to have to think about killing my own, I did not want to do it at all, but to stay alive and to keep both of the boys alive, I was going to have to do so. One way or another one of us was going to turn into a pile of guts and I was going to make sure that it was not me.

We just stood and watched one another for awhile until I knew that I was going to have to make the first move. I took in a deep breath and ran as fast as I could as him, trying to already stake him, in which he shielded himself and sent me flying back a few feet. But I got right back up onto my feet, this time jumping in the air and trying to get a good mark in and once again Tathar blocked it. I started to get annoyed and tired for something different, I tired to get to his eyes, make him blinded if only for a moment, so that he could not be able to see me. That is when Tathar finally started to fight back, swinging his spear to defend himself where his shield could not. He swung it so hard one time that I had to bend my back to a near ninety degree angle to make sure that he would not hit me with it. I tired to go in for another kill move and found that Tathar wrapped his arm around the stake, making in immobile, but also left his vulnerable as well. I took my shield and slammed it as hard as I could against the spear until it shattered into pieces above his hand, to which he finally let go of my spear, dropping his as well and pulling out his silver bladed sword.

Tathar instantly came after me with it and it was me this time who had to go to using my shield to defend myself. I had to drop the spear, which would do me no good against a sword, and pulled out my own sword. I swung my shield right into the edge of his s word, before I slammed the tip of my sword into his shield, which sent him backwards, tripping and landing on the ground, to which he picked up his spear once again. He came full force with the spear pointed right to my heart, that is when I took my fate into my own hands, spinning around his spear, making him run ahead of me before pulling him by the hair to the ground and jamming my sword deep into his chest, leaving him immobile. I slowly took the spear out of his hands, feeling the tears free from my eyes as I did so.

" I am so sorry, Tathar, you deserved so much better than this." I said softly as I moved the hair out of his eyes to find him chocking up a little blood. " And I loved you too. Before all of this began, with all of my heart." I whispered as I kissed his forehead softly.

Then I did it, I could feel the spear go into his chest, right through his heart, but I could not bring myself to look at it, to do anything but make sure that the last thing that Tathar saw was my eyes on his. I sobbed as his eyes, his hair, his hands, everything turned to nothing more than blood and guts from below my body. I could not feel myself for a moment before I felt Thorin's firm hands pull me off of the ground, cheering for me, and when I finally came back into the real world I found that I could hear the cries of my name being called out from everywhere in the town. People who had been fighting for me, people who had not, they were all calling out my name. All besides the elders who were still alive. They were speaking to one another, trying to figure out another way to bring me down. But I could not allow that to happen, I had done what they said, I had won my battle.

" Fire!" I cried out and this time saw the arrows whizzing past my head as the hit all of the standing elders, sending them instantly to the ground. I slowly walked up and onto the area where the elders had been standing and lightly kicked my grandfather so that eh was looking to me. " I wish I could say that I was sorry to you, or that I even really gave a damn about how much pain you are in. you will suffer with the rest of you clan and you will die like a rat." I hissed before I kept walking, ripping a piece of cloth off of one of the other elders and unshackled both Kili and Fili.

" Are you boys alright?" I asked lightly as I knelt down before of the two of them as Thorin and Burznedlorwen were already by my side.

" Never been better!" Fili cried out, as Thorin started to pull off the silver from the both of them.

" Much better now that you are here. I get what you mean about the pain of being away from your maker." Kili said with a smile as he lightly touched my face. " You know, you are even more beautiful in the dark than you were in the light."

" I think that they area all waiting for you to say something, not just stare at your boyfriend, Rolly." Burznedlorwen said with a smile as she nodded to the people that were just standing around.

" My people. Many of you I have known since the day that I was brought into the city, others I have known since the day that they were brought into the city. You are all free though, to leave this city now. I have just on request though. Kill only when needed, the races out there, there are good people who have lives just like ours. Meet that request and you are all free people, I will be leaving here as well. Me and my clan, the ones that decide to stay with me, we are going to find a new land for us to live, a place that has the voice of everyone, not just some elders who think they know it all. You are welcome to come with us, stay here, do as you please." I nodded and went back to Kili before I heard it, it started out as just a murmur and then go louder and louder.

" Long live the queen! Long live queen Rolly!" Everyone within the area was crying out. This took me by shock more than anything. They wanted me to be their queen.
